Unbelievable.. kept me waiting for 40mins no food,’do not go to this place if you want food anytime soon.

This is THE place to get authentic real African minus the North part of Africa. The food tasted like my mother’s cooking back home and the whole family enjoyed it. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Food is good and tasty. Telephone Order taking could be improved, the least is to take the orderers name. Appreciate food cooked fresh, but timing could be improved too..

This place is terrible. How did we wait 1 hour and half to get our food and still paid full price. They didn’t even apologize and looked like they didn’t care.DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU ORDER THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE.Management if you reading this......FIX UP!

African Village is outstanding when it come to African meals. The food presentation is very good and tasty. Very good atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming people. Its home away from home that i enjoyhaving my meals wheneveri visit Bristol town in Uk. Its absolutely wortha visit.

The Suya and fish was lovely but the hospitality is very poor so as the food I ordered was cold and dry. The man is lovely but the lady is rude 😏

just came from this place and the lady was so rude from the start and the plantain was soo flipping cold,the hospitality was so poor as we were paying for the food at the counter they decided to change the prices saying the menu we used was old whats all that stupidly why didnt they let us know from the beginning.if you hungry and want to eat just go to the Jamaican shop next door lol

Good atmosphere.

Great food, freshly made, friendly and courteous host, great place to eat in or takeout, highly recommended, either for group outing, solo visit or as couples. Parking can be an issue sometimes, except you park further down the road and walk down to the venue or you are lucky to find a parking space on the road beside it. To cut down waiting times, ordering at least 30 minutes before your arrival would drastically cut down waiting times. Enjoy !!

So original african food and beer and, so tasty! its a must try place. All the dishes are original african recipies. We tried poulet dg and jollof rice with chicken and platain frit (side). The mains were big dishes.They offer take away service too. They like to take the order by phone before you arrive, some recipies are very authentic home made style and, take an hour to cook. You better call first, its a home made food. We didnt call, but we wasnt in a rush so I was happy to wait and we havent wait for so long anyway.The atmosphere was calm, african music, they got like 10 tables? with nice yellow walls with black stripe. The service was so natural and kind, lovely people! <3Excellent different kind of food (you know, I mean apart from the tipical chinese, indian, pizza, kebab, fish and chips... kinds).

Amazing restaurant, very polite, pleasant service and above their food is out of this world. I will definitely be there again when next am in Bristol. Kudos guys

Tasty food but the service is terrible ....takes over 4 hours just for a meal! Its ridiculous ....the staff are not friendly or welcoming either ....I wish they could be cheerful and make the food faster then it would be an amazing place

Waiting time - a joke!! 45 minutes for Egusi and flavour was non existent. Customer service 4/10 will not be returning 😣

Food is great. Decor. Typical african restaurant. Bare aesthetics and a canteen feel. But food is quality. Waiting times could be better but its in line with the typical waiting times in african restaurants.

The only African restaurant I managed to find in Bristol. Selection of dishes from various African countries: Nigerian, Ghana, Cameronian etc. Hosts very friendly and lovely. Make you feel very welcome. A must visit place to try African cuisine
