beautiful lakes and caves, tour guides walk you through this amazing place
Los 3 ojos 👀 the three eyes a national park with three caves a must see if you go to the Dominican Republic
Beautiful park in the city.
Beautiful place to visited but only one concern price for tourists we have to learn no everything have to be over price
A beautiful and stunning natural attraction right in the middle of Santo Domingo. I didnt realize it was there.
Beautiful location ! But be prepared Its hotter than h*ll down there. We visited in July, one of the hotter months. Wear proper clothes and sneakers. There is alot of stairs to go down to each lake and to climb back up. If you take the boat across to other lake once down there, make sure to tip guys outside of the payment, they literally hand pull you across. They have a small Cafe outside before exiting park, they dont have much to offer. Fridge stocked of drinks but fridge wasnt working so they had a small ice bucket with drinks. Would not recommend taking small children who cant walk for extended periods of time. If youre not used to it, it can knock wind out of you. Many people were stopped to catch breath on stairs climb back up.
I had a great experience at 3 eyes national park! You start the tour above ground and take a few hundred steps into the cave. It starts to get pretty humid, but the water is a beautiful blue, and there’s plenty of wildlife. You can also take a small wooden boat across the cave’s lake, highlight of the park, to access an open lake/ reserve and feed the fish! Many photogenic spots, and a must-see for anyone visiting the island of Dominican Republic!
It is a very nice place, full of history, the staff is very friendly and they have many items at the exit to give as a gift or have a souvenir, SUPER cheap and harmonious.
Omg what a sight
Good to see
Its a beautiful place. Thank God I had a humble local who took me around to see the city sights and only charged me $30 usd per person from 9am yo 12pm. He showed me all the local areas and I got to see the real santo domingo Dominican Republic!!!!!!!
National Park Los tres ojos (3 eyesis an amazing cave with not 3 but 4 lagunes. The fourth you can reach by a short boat trip. We had a perfect guide Pedro who told us all about the caves and the water. In one of the eyes the fish nibbled your feet, in another we saw turtles.
Beautiful but very hot. It is worth it to spend 50 extra pesos on the 4th lake.
Quite beautiful. A bit too commercialized for my taste. Guides try a bit too hard to be humorous and naturally falls flat. Very humid and hot too, so pace yourself. They tend too use the place as a film location for movies so you end walking around all the crew setting up.
Very good
Great experience in the three eyes of Santo Domingo. It is a lake with three different small “eyes”. Each of them is different temperature and colour, and the guide will share with you the history for each. My favourite: Ladys Lake, if you touched the water you would become younger…haha great day!
We visited this place on our trip to the Santo Domingo. Very nice 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A must see in Dominicana!Amazing nature reserve with cave systems, clear water and pristine lush greenery. Its a cool place to visit to refresh yourself since theres a big difference in the temperature between the ground and underground level. Theres a little pond with fishes and some very interesting rock formations. All in all a very pleasant few hours visit.
Bring COLD water into the cave, its so hot in there, along with all the stairs as cardio itll start to feel like a sauna in no time. This place is absolutely beautiful. Still underground waters in a cave, it looks like a giant cenote. I could not believe that this natural beauty is in the model of such a busy city.
Nice place in the middle of the city, easy to go and nice place to be with the nature.
Really beautiful lakes. And right in middle of the city as well! I highly recommend paying 50$ (us 1$for the water gondola. Each lake is different and the colors are really nice. There are a lot of steps but not excessively so. So its fine for all ages. Id give an hour or 2 for this wonderful place.
Very beautiful place!!! Cheap and you cant miss if you are at Santo Domingo!!!!
Big tip:You cant walk from The Three Eyes through Parque Del Este, to Columbus Lighthouse on your own!We were stopped by Tourist Police when leaving The Three Eyes, and told that we need to call in taxi or Uber if we want to leave Three Eyes, because of robbers and pickpockets. Policeman was kind enough to share WiFi from his mobile to let us order Uber. They overreacting badly when it comes to tourists, as locals can come and go as they please in Santo Domingo Este area, but not tourists.
Crystal clear water. 1 hour to see the whole park. Clean bathrooms. Souvenir store. No need for a guide. There are a lot of stairs and poor illumination so be carefull when walking in the caves.
Beautiful, but the administrator of this place could do more as far as food choices, sell of ice cream or ice cones throughout the place to deal of the hot weather. Bring mosquito spray too.
Really nice place to visit if you are ever in Santo Domingo. Heard they shot early Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park movies there 👍
One of the main tourist attractions in Santo Domingo consists of a series of large caverns with freshwater lagoons that are fed by an underground river. The caves were used by the aborigines for their religious ceremonies, given the presence of pictographs that show some of their customs. This environment has a varied fauna including bats, turtles, lizards and fish.
Naturally occurring group of 3 turquoise water lakes plus an extra lake via a small boat in one of the caves for an extra 50 pesos (on top of the 200 pesos admission price for foreigners). This last one can also be seen from the top for free. Well worth a walk not just to see the caves, lakes and mineral formations, but also the outside walk for a range of tropical plants and insects. Uber from the historic centre at Santo Domingo was just under £2.50, so very cheaply accesible.
Cool place! A giant cenote really. Definitely recommend visiting, but my only advice is to get there early. We got there at like 9 and there were only a few others there so that was nice, but by the time we left there were tons of tourists showing up by the bus loads. Literally.@nothin_but_views
That is a wonder of nature; the guide told us this place was used in so many movies such as Jurassic Parc III, Combat Shock, and even Tarzan. Going down the caves is a full body work out( you need to be able to climb stairsbut once you get to see this beautiful vision of nature with the trees, the lagoons, it will make so much sense! I can see Tarzan living in this jungle!
I ben there 5 times its a beautiful place its amazing that they have those 3 lakes under ground you have to see it to believe it
😍😍😍😍😍✅✅✅✅
I love this place its so beautiful! You can get in the lakes, but on the three lakess, the tour guide person will allow you to put your hands inside the lakes.
Its a beautiful area where there once was a cave system that eventually collapsed into todays underground lakes. Its beautiful with many vibrant colors and extraordinary views.
Relaxing place. There was almost no one, maybe because of COVID time. Beautiful lakes. Crystal clear water. Amazing colors. I like how did we get to the last lake.
Los Tres ojos was very cool, I loved the ride thru the huge cave the most. It will take you a couple hours to walk thru everything. Interesting sight to see!
Very beautiful place, must see
A citys jewel hidden in the middle of the highway will astonish your trip. These marvellous caves have been the scenario for a lot of films, as everything else in this lovely country. A definitely must to do in Santo Domingo
Loved stopping here on our trip. The water is unbelievably blue and compared to the surrounding area feels like a whole new world. Highly recommend stoping by! Quite a few trails to walk.
Definitely a sight when you are at Santo Domingo.
A place out of this world! The installations are well hidden and preserve the beauty of this magnificent natural wonder. There is a special aura that causes the visitor to be very quiet, which additionally contributes to the scenery. Guide definitively not required. Uber works great to get there and back.
Beautiful, but be prepared to go up and down a lot of stairs, and bring water.
Nice outdoor place to visit when you are in Santo Domingo. Three natural pools underground. The tour guide was very friendly and I learned a lot. I like the scenery, very beautiful.
Very beautiful location, for the price you can not grumble. There was an older guy with a fan, he asked us if we want him as guide, its free. so we sayd yes. he told us a little bit about the caves. As usual in the DR we wanted to give him a tip, but at the end he stood in front of us and sayd he wants a tip now, and we could give 20US$ or maybee 30US$ and so we sayd no and gave him nothing, 20US$ for 5 minute making fun and talking a bit about the cave and saying swimming is not allowed is too much. too intrusive.
Pretty inexpensive to get in. You get to see 3 natural pools. If you want to go to the fourth you have to pay extra to get on this little raft and see it.. not sure why its not included in the price. Pools are pretty and i secretly really wanted to just jump in one.. but, you cant. Also, theres a bunch of stairs and its really touristy.
Absolutely beautiful! A must see for a cheap price. Wear a good pair of sneakers as there is a good amount of stairs and areas that you need to climb.
This is a really nice way to spend a couple hours in Santo Domingo. Children will love it, but I would caution against anyone going that has problems with stairs. The park grounds are nice so be sure to walk around all the trails both in and out of the caves. This isn’t a massive (or even largecave system, but it was bigger than I expected. There is also a short ferry ride inside the cave that is really cool so be sure to catch it.
A must visit in Santo Domingo. Entree fee is 200 pesos a person. Very beautiful caves and scenery.
A must-visit if you come to Santo Domingo East, either you are Dominican or foreign visitor. Good for summer, but better in cooler seasons. Most of all, it is inexpensive. You contribute and learn from nature, as well.
Cute little park. Not a whole day commitment. If youre in Santo Domingo, you should definitely make the time to check it out.
