Disclaimer : it has nothing to see with the Cenotes in Mexico. You can not swim.Pros :1. Nature is always amazing!2. Easy to find. Easy to park.3. Close to Faro a ColonCons/Tips:1. You really dont need a tour to get there. Take the regular entrance, you really dont need a tour.2. Your shoes will probably get wet so dress accordingly.3. You have to pay an extra 50DR/1US to see the 4 eyes4. The casher is sweet but the lady (probably the managerat the entrance is rude for absolutely no reason.5. 30mins maximum. It is very very very small. You can not swim :(

Super nice and the tickets are very cheap. There are a lot of stairs so you have to take it into account if you go with elderly or injured people.

It was a lovely tour. Simply breath taking, literally. There are basically three limestone caverns each of which features a lake with tranquil water. You will be able to explore one of the most beautiful and unique underground ecosystem.

The only reason for the rating is I was expecting more. I had already been to Laguna Dudú where it is a similar setting, but you can swim.It is very safe and clean. If you have a hard time with stairs, this might not be the stop for you. Others said to expect mosquitos, while we were prepared, we didnt see any. The exit takes you through vendors. If you are flying, know your countrys regulations on conch shells before buying.

Its a beautiful place close to Santo Domingo city. The entrance tickets are cheap and so it is the boat to take you to a special area, so thats worth paying for. The park is clean, safe and well taken care of. Inside the caves is very humid and youll sweat a lot, there are restrooms and a little cafe. I took my time to take pics, sit down and see everything well, it took me 2h.

Shockingly located in the middle of a city, you decend rapidly into the caverns, Jules Verne style. Immediately you are presented with beautiful pools, vegetation, and rock/ coral formations, some of which have never received sun light. My only negative, high traffic, small slippery steps (big feet/ big problem), and it could use a few more guard rails.

Went around 3 pm on a Saturday. There were not a lot of people. It took around 45 minutes total and was a short ride from La Zona Colonial. Definitely worth it! It’s such a different experience than what you explore in the more touristy areas of SD. It’s very hot and humid down there so plan accordingly. Make sure to bring cash to pay to cross for the last lake. It’s the most beautiful of all four!

Traveling often can often leave you less impressed but this park was definitely something different than what we have seen. It’s definitely original and very well kept. The cave was very hot so that was a bit disappointing that we were dripping wet when we got out of there. But we definitely enjoyed this beautiful experience of nature. If you’re in SD I would recommend you check it out.

One of the best parks in Santo Domingo. It was so easy to just forget we are in a city and enjoy the nature and the wonder all around us. I totally recommend. I am not a big fan of the "guide" hustle at the entry. I prefer roaming around and exploring the places I go to at my own rythm and pace so I turned it down. If you are the same and do not want that, just say a strict no multiple times if you have to.

This is a must-visit place if you are in Santo Domingo. It is about ten minutes uber ride from Zona Colonial. The ticket to enter the national park was 200 DR Pesos per person. Beautiful National Park with caves and four underground lakes. We did not take any tour guides but they are available for extra charges. You can access the fourth lake by boat which costs around 50 DR Pesos per person. The staffs were friendly and the policeman helped us get the Uber ride back to zona colonial. The Cenotes are blue and crystal clear but unfortunately, you cannot swim like in Tulum, Mexico. Make sure you wear some good tennis/walking shoes to avoid slipping while going down the underground cave and also make sure to come as early as possible to avoid crowds since this is a popular tourist attraction in Santo Domingo.

Incredible!! If you’re in Santo Domingo take an Uber over and walk through at your own pace. On your ride there google/read about the history about the caves. Trust me when I say that doing it this way will end up being a much better experience than booking with a big tour group.

Amazing place where you can see the three caves. Ensure to have sneakers or hiking sandals because there are several steps to reach them and the pavement is quite slippery, environment is quite humid.

04/2022: You can stay here for several hours or see it all in 45-60 minutes. Very tranquil park.Park ticket only is $4USD and $12USD with a guide and cable boat crossing per person. If you are pressed for time purchase the guided tour.We visited during the weekday and it was not busy. I am sure it is very busy here on the weekend so add extra time if you are keeping a tight schedule. Be carful. A lot of steps. Have fun!

This is a quick visit. The caves are beautiful. The steps are a bit dangerous if you have difficulty walking up and down steps. The steps tend to be slippery and they’re not level or even depth.

A Cenote (sink holein Mexico, but called an Eye in DR. There is a 4th Eye which you can pay extra to get a small boat ride and do a walk.DR & Haiti used to be underwater so the rock is coral based, making it very different to other Caribbean islands, and the porous nature means it decays faster, and such can give way to cave collapsing, thus creating the Eyes. One of the lakes was said to have sulphur but its clean enough to drink and fish swim in it too.

This park is located in the east of Santo Domingo. It is easy to reach, but depending on the really bad traffic in the city it can take up to 1 hour to get there from the center. The place itself has 4 underground lakes. One of these can be seen from above and there is a walking path around that lake. To access the other (smallerlakes you have to climb down some stairs. The water is really clear. At one lake you can do a small boat tour to access the 4th lake from below. Its a very beautiful place and the entrance fee is quite low with R$200 (US$4). The boot tour costs only R$50 extra.

A nice short getaway from the Colonial Zone. It’s 15 mins away and costs less than $4 via Uber. There is an entrance fee of $200 DOP/person and an optional boat ride to the fourth lake which is $50 DOP/adult and $25 DOP/child. You can walk the entire park in less than 45 mins. Bring bug repellent, water and cash. Credit cards are not accepted as of 1/5/22.

A must see in Santo Domingo! I hope more people take the time to visit this natural beauty. The staff was very kind, helpful, and answered all my questions. A ton of walking and stairs, but so worth it. Not handicap friendly in the cave obviously, but handicap friendly on top.

Such a lovely daytime mini-excursion. Perfect for a picnic with a beautiful scenery. Doesn’t have a fixed price as it is a public, protected park but they do ask you “donate” what you can for it’s conservation & cleaning. I honestly felt I was in a Indiana Jones movie or something!

This National Park is exquisite. It is a combination of four lakes and it absolutely beautiful. 3 where you walk down and into them and one overhead view of the big lake. You can also take a ferry for 50 pesos to cross one of the lakes for a different view. Entrance is 200 RD for non locals. There is plenty of parking because I was driving but there is also a tour bus that comes as well. And although the park is a good size not too crazy, there are alot of stairs so bring comfortable walking shoes. They have a cafeteria with water soda beer and snacks but not a full resturaunt. They also have a small amount of vendors selling souvenirs at the front entrance. Overall a beautiful park with clear blue water lakes/ venues cenotes and a great natural vibe. Absolutely recommend, 2-3 hours should be good here.

Its a mesmerizing experience, you can feel the mystical vibe from the ancient Taíno culture. If youre around dont miss this awesome place. Its a few minutes from downtown. Dont forget to bring water. Therere a lot stairs up and down to reach the 3 caves. Try to go early morning to avoid tourist crowds. Tickets are $200 DOP - around $3,50 USD per person.

This was an excellent adventure. There is a cave you go down to see the 3 level of the natural water. There is also a point where you can take a small boat to the other side. These is also another vantage point with a great view. Wear comfortable shoes for this trip

A must see place in Santo Domingo! Super beautiful place and perfect for spending few hours! A suggestion - wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of climbing stairs, bring mosquito repellent and come early in morning (it opens at 8 AMas around 10 its already full with people! Definitely worth taking the little boat in the cave for 50 pesos that bring you to the biggest and most beautiful of the lakes!

Explore the caverns and underground lake right in Santo Domingo. Excellent natural wonder. Ask for “JC” for English speakers. He was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. Very interesting history of the caves and how the Tainos used it to shelter from hurricanes. It is amazing to see how clear the water is in the underground lakes.

Nature never deceives. Visiting these caves have shown us again how beautiful nature is and stayed throughout time. Was a blast to be able to see these amazing lakes, plants and to learn about the caves history. If you are in Santo Domingo, its a must see. Well kept and cared for, safe and just a few miles from the heart of the city, amazing staff, go indulge🤗

This was one of the best parks we have been to in Dominican republic. It is really quite amazing. It is a natural wonder of the Dominican Republic. I would come here time and time again just to see this. The waters were so crystal you can see all the way down. Make sure that you spend the extra 50 pesos so you can go see the third lake and then you can see the fourth lake on top. The one thing I will tell you is there is really no fourth lake that is just the top of the third lake but you must pay for the third lake you have to pay 50 pesos to get in to the other side this is a must do in Dominican republic. Highly recommend it.

June 30, 2021 - We visited this interesting little park today. Masks are required but not strongly enforced after entry. People are still polite and put them on when passing anywhere close to others. My son and I loved Tres Ojos! It was very interesting and beautiful. (Im coming back to say I went two days in a row and the first day was much better because it was a sunny day. The second day was only ok as it was rainy and the lagoons werent nearly as beautiful.)Lagos Tres Ojos is an unusual set of underground lakes in a limestone cave near Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was a short drive from our apartment and fascinating to explore for about an hour before we hit the beach. It had everything a 10-yr-old boy could ask for - lizards, caves, fish, bugs, rocks to climb, weird plants, and even a pulley boat to take us across an underground lake. 💙 We definitely felt like we were at the end of the book, "Journey to the Center of the Earth". We read it out loud to each other during lockdown and then the story was brought to life for us today. The small pulley boat in the underground lake charges 50 per adult and 25 per child and shuts down a bit before 4pm. Its cool. If offered, let the boat guide take a photo for you. Ours had a powerful flashlight that makes the photos turn out great. We definitely recommend this stop for a short afternoon adventure.PS - The entry fee was RD 200 per foreign adult and 100 per local adult. No whining about the foreigner tax, please. This facility is clean and safe with great bathrooms... your fee goes towards maintaining it. 😉

The place is nice, though seeing other caves in my life - can’t say it was something exceptional. Also you don’t need much time here, 1 hour would be the max to make few rounds. And there is also not much to walk...

SO COOL! I would not recommend if you’re not in great shape/do not like physical activity because there’s alottttttttttt of walking and a lot of stairs. and I mean a lot. so be careful! The water is so beautiful and one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen while being at these caves and just in general. PLEASE visit here if you have a chance while in the Dominican Republic !!! you won’t regret it.
