Small, counter-serve venue serving British-Asian vegan soul food such as chaats & chole chature.
Its quite expenses even 1 small bun Is £1 too much
Brilliant Indian Street food... Best in town, make sure you try it out. Prices still good value.
Very tasty food. Flavourful and lots of choices. Best for vegetarians
We ordered various dishes like dahi poori, chhole Bhature, aloo parantha, pav bhaji and the overall experience was quite average.Biggest disappointment were the chhole Bhature. Pav bhaji was not so bad and dahi poori was good. Aloo paratha was also quite average.Nothing was close to the authentic dishes youll get in India. Atmosphere and service was good.
Bit pricy... But good food
I always come here with my mum. The experience and services I receive is superb. I Mr RAKESH POPAT highly recommend.
I enjoy the chole bature with limca drink.
EXPENSIVE
Thakers has the best chai in town
We used to go there always but this time not satisfied with food,The test was not good as always, felt food not freshly made.
Came to rate it and just placed an order again!I order nearly everyday or go to collect. Food is very tasty and great selection here!
Pure vegetarian meals, hygienic place, and always well maintained. The staff is also very helpful. Chole bhatura, puri bhaji, and aloo parantha are our all-time favorite meals. Other dishes are also yummy. Sometimes gets tough to grab a seat inside.
This was my first visit to this popular and usually busy restaurant. The food was great and the staff very efficient and helpful.
Very delicious food😋😋
Be ready to wait for at least 30 minutes to get your order and finding it of poor taste later. Huge Disappointment.
Ordered a lot pf things and everything tasted nice except chhole bhature. The chilli cheese parantha is quite tasty, the salty Lassi has the zing and the dahi puri has the right amount of flavor. Ordering is at the till and the youbcab share the tables with other people.
Bad service
Came( 22.09.2022)for the third time to order my favourite food chilli paneer and mixed bhajia. I used to love to eat that but not anymore. Chilli paneer is still delicious but mixed bhajia is terrible greasy and oily thats not longer the mixed bhajia I used to get at that place. Crispy and well prepared. So as the quality has changed I will not go longer to that place. Really sad as the staff knows me very well.
This was our first foray into Indian food, and the cashier was extremely helpful giving us suggestions on what to order. Everything was so delicious! Their prices are great, too!
Late service with less taste
Chick pea curry is on point, lovely place. Excellent service. I told my mate Mo about it and he said he going there right now .
I cannot believe I forgot to review them, we have been there probably a hundred times (or more lolit was the first place to offer authentic Masala Chai and other Indian staples like Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, Choley Bhattore ..yum and my personal favourite has gotta be their Dahi Puris - Masala Chai and Nimu Pani are my regular orders...The only thing missing is Gajar Ka Halwa (just kidding)
Good not too much crowded place. Great place to catch up with friends overvtea and snacks.
We went there because we were in the town for some personal work and a friend recommended to give this place a try. Overall we had an average experience. The place was neat and clean. The place has outdoor seating as well and toilets were clean. We ordered the following:vada pav - was good, worth ordering againsamosa - taste was good but we dont understand why potatoes are not smashed but are just chopped and stuffed in.Mango Lassi - very goodChilli paneer - horrible on taste, chef needs to go out and try chilli paneer at other placesChilli cheese onion Partha - goodCrispy bhindi - was very good though it is usually served as hot and spicy at other places. It was mild here but tasty and served with a salsa dip. Portion size was good for the priceThali - we felt the portions were small, rajma and bhindi in Thali were good.
I had chole bhature which were really nice. The salted lassi tasted more like masala chaas but was nice.
