Performing arts center featuring 2 theaters for various concerts & shows, plus an exhibition space.
Perfect place for music and arts π»πΉπ€
Wonderful place-huge but with clear sound. Watched Celtic dancing and had a great time. Strange someone wrote a baseball cap all the way through.
Renovated cultural center offered fresh look with great acoustic for concert.
Very nice theatre.
Itβs my first time to watch a performance in the Thailand Cultural Center. The experience is great! Swan Lake moved me many timesππ
Superb theater excellent audio with professional staff welcoming the public.. A high standards venue like ballet perfomance "Swanlake" was an appreciated hit.Cafeteria ( small easier than purchasing tickets at the crowded bar..Except NO TAXIS available at all... Spoiling our evening..
Always think about this place for the world class performances. I would love to see the renovation.
Update 2022New Parking lot is opened.Feel a lot better but still need some of Snack bar for service
The conference is too small for the symphony. Fortunately, its held on working day.Parking is separated from the hall that caused to trouble during heavy rains.
The trafic jam is terible
Great performing arts venue with beautiful architecture. The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra performs here, and they are a fantastic orchestra. I would highly recommend a concert here during a visit to Bangkok. Not only is the music great, but the ticket prices are very affordable.
Attended the Russian Ballet Swan Lake performance. Make sure you pick up your tickets prior to the performance if you dont then you must go one hour ahead. Also Vaccination card had to be shown before you enter and mask be worn during the entire time. Regardless if you are fully vaccinated.
Car park is very convenience after renovation. New landmark is also very beautiful.
Find great live and performances here. A lot of wonderful shows in a row. Very good for experience an orchestra.
Khon Performance 2019, Thai masked dance by the support Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand. The show took place in the main auditorium hall of Thailand Cultural Center.
Nice cultural center. Everything is fine except location. Not far from MRT station, but still hard to get.
Parkings are located underground of the nearby building. Although around the premises are open air, the weather can be hot and humid. The exhibitions and concerts are usually in the hall with air conditions. Although the place seem near MRT subway station, walking can be a pain and difficult to cross the road through the oncoming traffic.
I was so happy Grieg and Brahms was on the program. The orkester RBSO its amazing. I give them all my compliments πππππ
Variety of performance, check out the events guide via the website. Some show are free entry. Good spot for activities, music and art performance.
The Thai Cultural Center who as well organize the Thai Pavilions of the Biennale in Venice
Great place for nice shows such as Khon
If you leave it out of your places to visit in Bangkok, it wont be a shocker during the weekdays !!
official place for Thailand in term of culture and art and have 2amphitheaters
There is a glamorous golden pavillion situated in the foyer of the Main Hall. However, the thai style pavillion in an open air garden infront of TCC are under renovation. There are no rain protected roof passages to and from not adjacented parking areas to Main Hall, causing inconvenient to commute.
The main auditorium is fine and the shows presented on the whole are world class. Though right nowthere is a lot of construction work going on in the grounds making getting in and especially out by car after a performance a nightmare.
One of the few venues with classical music in Bangkok along with Salaya. The hall itself is a bit outdated with less than perfect acoustics but we take what we can. Interiors are fine and seating comfortable. I already noticed a new building being erected adjacent to the old main building so looking forward. Subway station isnt terribly far on foot but the main road is horrible all the way through down to Sukhumvit so plan ample time to get to your concert on time...
Beautifully equipped auditorium for dance, drama & music although needs an upgrade with modern amenities.
Cultural performance event. Not really worthy to visit unless theres an event you wanna see. Nice gardens to take nice pictures tho.
Local building with very scenery and green garden.
The Thailand Cultural Centre is an outstanding performance space. It has some excellent design elements and the quality of productions presented is outstanding. Please note that the centre is not easily accessible from the MRT station Thailand Cultural Centre. Its a brisk 15 minute walk from the MRT.
An impressive concert hall. Well organised, including fast security check. Several bars and snack shops nearby. NOTE: you are not allowed to take food and drinks inside the hall. A walking distance from MRT.
Every seat with good view. Good air-condition. But the gate will be open only 15mins before the show. Can not bring any food and drinks inside.
It could be better if the transportation, MRT was closer or public bus was more frequent to the centre.
Very comfortable spot to watch a show. While Iβve only attended one show I canβt speak to the quality of shows regularly booked at this venue, the venue itself is quite nice. I did not expect a full orchestra pit , which was a nice touch.
great place to visit and learn about the culture of Thsiland
The real Khon. Thailands best classical literature and oldest narrative dance forms. No pictures allowed during the show.
I went to hear the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and, while the musicians were excellent, I found the acoustics in the concert hall surprisingly poor. It is also a nightmarish location to get to if you do not arrive by car. We were nearly run over as we had to cross lanes of traffic in the dark. Obviously, they have no interest in accommodating those who arrive by MRT and have to walk from the station.
It has already Renovated new rest rooms. Plenty of lady rooms. New fluffy carpet on the second floor. In the main hall, all the chair are the same .it is a solid and not comfortable chair. The back of the seat is too low. New building is constructing. (June 2018)
Venue for shows, concerts etc. A bit far away from MRT (public transport).
Awesome auditorium! Have attended a few concerts and performance and really enjoyed the facilities even though its rather old.One of the areas that needed improvement are the lack of parking spaces for cars and most of the security personals are very inefficient in directing traffic.
Great auditorium but poor access to public transportation. If you travel by MRT, you could get off at station called "Thailand Cultural Center" but you have to walk a long way through restaurants on pavement (imagine you dress up for Orchestra night or a play..and pass the parking space and cross the intersection with no traffic lights. Very dangerous and after years still the same. Maybe taxi or private car is the best way to get here.
I was there for a broadway. The place is good. Its not modern as they keep it TH traditional style which is good. Therere minimart in the area where they are also serving cheap TH food. If you drive, theres a parking lot opposite to the place which is quite convenient. The place is impressive.
Pros: aircon works well. Acoustics effective.Cons: lousy seats - backs are way too low, minimal padding. Long walk from MRT station - supposed to have shuttle service, wait was too long.Bottom line: the theater at King Power Rangnam is much better!
Great for seeing show. Easy to go via MRT, a lot of parking space.
Beautiful venue! All seats are good!
The sound system is very poor only having speakers at The front by the stage. NO SURROUND SOUND. Makes musical performances less impressive. And there doesnt appear to be any concession stand for drinks even.
I had the pleasure of attending a classical concert in this building. The performance was on world class level. Not something that you would expect to find in Bangkok. The theatre offers comfortable seating.I found the atmosphere to be exceptionally friendly. I would not hesitate to return for more events.
The Music for remembrance of our previous HMK Bhumibol 28/1/60
Nice hall with lots of interesting offering throughout the year. Also has great inexpensive food perfect for pre show thai style.
Nice hall. Not so big. I think the acoustic is OK. The Bangkok symphony orchestra had several performances here and afaik nobody complain much about the hall. There are various kinds of shows all year round.
