The best thai food in new zealand Id say... everybody should try this place. Bet you wont regret it!! 😁😊😊😊
Been coming for years, keeps getting better. The best Thai food in at least 100km radius.Som Tum was amazing, larb superb, sabai gai, delicious. Recommend this place for anyone wanting thai, also youve got to order extra extra extra thai hot🔥🥵 is the only way to do it. One last thing, eat the crepes for desert.. Youll be glad you did.
Wow, a must try for anyone who hasnt yet. Just finished our meals delivered in a timely manner by very polite driver. Meals enjoyed were:Massaman CurryCardamon, cinnamon, mace, peanuts, potato, and onion.Selection: ChickenSpice Options: MediumAMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, PERFECTSatay Stir FryChefs special satay sauce w carrot, broccoli, cabbage, onion, capsicum, and celery. Tossed in the wok and topped w roasted sesame seeds.Selection: Vegetarian (will contain small amount of shrimp paste and fish sauce)Spice Options: MediumDELICIOUS, WILL ORDER AGAIN,Perfect cooked rice with both meals.Value for money, as we will make 5 servings from these
The cook used hand to adjust the portion of two chicken Pad Thai without having a glove on.. Horrible experience and would warn all the customers who think about coming
Terrible hygiene. Staff grab food without any gloves on.No customer service.Manager was extremely rude.
Bad Customer service. On Friday night i ordered the chilli basil stir fry and was presented with a plate of mince. This did not meet my expectations of a thai beef stir fry. I told the waitress and she then proceeded to argue with me that it was a traditional meal. She then offered a replacement meal, which was nice. Unfortunately I was then accosted by the chef but also the owner of the restaurant who insinuated that I had no idea of what thai food was. This included asking me if i had ever been to Thailand (which I have, twice, and I was never served beef minceand telling me that she lived for 8 years.Collectively the group I was eating with had 15 years hospitality experience and were just as perplexed by the interaction. It was a bizarre experience, topped off by the fact that they tried to charge me for two meals.Just the reply to my review is showing the incompetence of dealing with criticism by this restaurant.Just to make it clear - at no point of my visit, have I been abusive towards the staff.
My favorite thai restaurant.
Awesome service, food tasty and hot! Granddaughter and I just love this place. Best Thai restaurant in Tauranga by far! Highly recommend 👍
Ordered a chicken curry, was basically just chopped up red chillies. It was inedible and I had to throw it out as it was to far for me to come back. Would not recommend
Absolutely the best Thai food
Mothers Day dinner with the familyFood came quickly to the table. So fresh and delicious! Mine was the Seafood Combination..perfect balance of Thai flavours
consistently wonderful food! 10/10 Janet Peters
Excellent service and staff were awesome. Great food too! Highly recommended
Yummy food and celebration meal with our sons after our lockdown in Australia for nearly 2 years.
Excellent food, excellent service. Its also BYO which is handy to know, they still sell drinks though
Amazing Thai food. Some of the very best around ! Great service 👌
We had another superb meal here on Friday night. Pork belly with lovely vegetables and the yellow fish curry. Wonderful service from lovely staff. Very popular place. Its our to go place now!
Yum nua and larb gai for lunch we’re tasty however for the price of $22 surely they can offer complimentary small bow of rice which cost around 50 cents to 1 dollar max rather charge extra $3 for that. Most Thai restaurants offer rice with all dishes and when they serve they come around to your table with a silver bow of rice to offer top up if you need too. not hard to make that happens just saying it will better for your customer experience.
Poor and very slow service. Took over 50 minutes to get our very basic order out. Food was pretty average and not very authentic. Lot of room for improvement
Its just so average. Not worth the prices , vegetables over cooked and protein is dryMissing that authentic Thai taste. Very westernised
This is defiantly the best Thai food I have ever had in NZ. I have traveled between NZ & Phuket for over 9 years and this is as good as the food in Thailand. The flavours are just amazing. The guy that owns the restaurant has lived in Bangkok for many years and certainly knows his stuff, having Thai chefs, spot on they are doing a 5 star job, well presented plates of food and so delicious. Staff were amazing to deal with as well. What a winning place this is. Cant wait to return to the Mt for another meal, you locals are very luck to have them, khrap kha.
Absolutely delicious! This has always been a great restaurant for Thai food, new owners has made it even better, flavours are devine and so fresh!
Lovely evening out. Service was great our meals were delicious and well presented. Complements to the chef 😋. Great all round experience
What can I say the meal was delicious as always. The service was A1.One of my favourite restaurant.
Consistently good and authentic tasting Thai food …. Only objection I have is that if you have it delivered through their delivery agent ie deliver easy the price of each item costs more in addition to the $10.99 delivery fee ….I think this is sneaky and deceitful …..
This is one of the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. Food is super tasty and delicious, authentic Thai food. Super friendly staff , will be back.
Tasty food, but they gave me tofu when i ordered chicken in my curry and didnt realized until i drove all the way home 😔
Food was delicious, served in a timely manner. Customer service was fantastic. Clean and tidy.
Another great experience at this Restaurant, good quality meal and a reasonable price, along with good service,we will be back.👍
Thai2go is definitely the best Thai Restaurant /Bar in Mt Maunganui and beyond. You will not be disappointed. The food is exquisite. Well prepared and presented. Its great that they cater for specific dietary requests as well. Others do not.To take away, try their beef ginger stir fry with rice, and an entree of 4 prawns. Yummy!!Whatever you order, providing you make your request specific, will be excellently catered for. Enjoy.
If your looking for great taste this place is so good from walking in I was greeted with happy smiles to some light talk and laughter my order was very quick considering the amount of people in the restaurant and was able to have a coffee to go as well such great staff and tasting food made my walk home thankyou
Woow, takeaways so fast, just had time to drink my while you wait wine🍷. 3 dishes for 4 people $63. Great value and flavors
Best Thai restaurant in Tauranga for sure! Only one in 11 years that Ive been back to twice. In fact, weve probably been there 15 times in the last 3 years since we discovered them
Food was FANTASTIC I noticed there mightve been a shortage of people when we were there but the staff did a great job. The wait was long due to how busy it was but worth it in the end. Ill make sure to come back!
Have only had the takeaways. I am vegetarian so am glad that there is a good selection. I love the curry puffs. Service was good. Variety for non vegetarian as well. I like the tofu vegetables with satay sauce especially 😋.
A great choice for my introduction to Thai cuisine.Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and good selection of dishes at various prices (something for everyone). Central location and if like me you don’t have a car the bus stop is less than a block away. Check them out.....they’re worth it!
We went here last night for my wifes birthday. Went to the counter to place our orders, but, the manager told me that he will come to our table and take orders. He kept passing us by 2 or 3 times. Had to call the attention of a wait staff to place our orders. Took a while. We ordered Massaman beef curry, not impressive, to be honest. Specially for their price. It got worse when we tasted the stir fry Tom Yum, it tasted too salty, not even a hint of sourness as you would expect with a Tom Yum, tasted more like black pepper seafoods with so much salt. Manager came to our table and readily offered us to remake the food or order another dish. Those are the only options offered. Putting into consideration the time it took for our first order to come, I declined. Manager just shrugged his shoulders and walked off. He couldve offered something else, like a discount or something. May come back to see some improvements or maybe not at all. Overall experience was way less than expected.
Friendly staff.Food is alright but not very good size for price.Shouldnt have to ask for chopsticks or soy sauce. Not bad but definitely prefer other Thai places.
Lovely warm and inviting restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was presented beautifully but unfortunately the temperature was not hot. Possibly served onto cold plates? I very nicely informed the staff to let them know but they did not offer to do anything. Bit dissapointed as it ruined the flavor of the meal and experience.
My Darling and I had the pleasure of dining in last night after my toothachey self had a craving for Tom yum and no desire to make it myself! What an awesome experience! We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and were greeted by a beautiful man with personality + The amazing flavours and stunning staff were the icing on the cake🥰 Thank you very much for looking after us, everything was outstanding
Sadly have not been to this restaurant for some time as it is quite a drive from where we live. But dined there last night. Wow + has an overall excellence from the welcome to the farewell everything was just so high class. Service, manner of waiter was so professional, food was without fault, drinks were served without any delay. We have not dined out since pre lockdown, this was such a joyful experience to enthuse us back to dining out. Well done A+ is our rating, Thankyou.
Fantastic food friendly service comfortable atmosphere great prices. Heres the mango and sticky rice.
I have been passed this place so many times and always wondered how it was.....well I was more than impressed. The greeting at the door right through to paying the bill was a very Good experience. The coconut prawns and spare ribs are absolutely amazing,,, the stir fry ginger beef was out of this world and the portions were adequateDid not manage to get to the puddings but on my next visit will tryWill certainly be back.
Fantastic food I would have rated it a five star but if it weren’t for the fact that the lady there didn’t seem to take an actual liking to us and let us enjoy our meal peacefully. Constantly nagging at us to do something about my nephews making ‘too much noise’, when in fact that isn’t the case. For a place that claims to be good for kids, they are severely lacking the good part.
Have been here many times and enjoyed the curries ok. Unfortunately this time ordered pad thai and was deeply disappointed with the flavour (extremely bland), quality it was really small and had only 3 very small over fried tofu cubes. I ordered vegetarian and it was basically a small handful of noodles and the very small amount of tofu, and a small sprig of carrot and 1 sprig of broccoli and that was it!On a positive the service was fast and friendly which was great.
One of the nicest dinners I have had. Food was fantastic. I tasted 5 different meals and all were delightful but different. I am very fussy with food and service and happy to give 5 stars. We had a most excellent evening. Thanks guys.
I love it because I works their. Nice taste foods and very fun to enjoys my self cooking and talking Thai at the restaurant every nights. I learning sometimes new every time. Differently eat somethings that I havent eaten a whiles back, since I was in Thailands... Nick are so funny and cool Boss, I had in awhile since I was work at roofings and teams are funny and very good to know and meets. This like a family to meThank you Boss
Not terrible, but for certainly had kiwi influence. Ive been to Thailand and had a green curry in many restaurants and this is the first to come peas, corn and carrot. Food was very lack luster. Over all experience was pleasant but I dont think well go back.
Good temp, lacked flavorI had the red curry beef.Commendation:The heat for a medium was about spot on (maybe a touch on the hot side but you expect that from a red curry so that was fine).Recommendation:The Curry though hot lacked flavor and tasted quite watered down, I suspect that it may be due to frozen veg used in the curry as opposed to fresh (though I may be wrong). The rice was also not quite right, couldnt put my finger on it, like not the usual Thai rice was used, close to the right texture, not quite the right taste though. The Curry also tasted a bit too sweet like someone had been a bit heavy handed on the sugar to try to compensate for the lack of flavor.Commendation:Good Service, friendly staff. Conclusion:Good service combined with the heat in the curry are the good points on this meal, the bad points was the lack of a full bodied Thai richness and the overly sweet taste to the meal.Improvements could be made definitely so 3 stars this time round. It wouldnt stop me going back but not my first choice in town either.
My family and I eat here reasonably often. Its the best Thai food in the Bay for sure! Phil the owner and Jaggi the head waiter do a wonderful job with the service. The pricing is very fair, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.
