1665 Rice St, St Paul, MN 55117, United States, Saint Paul
Modern storefront cafe serving Thai favorites with beer & wine & puzzle games on the tables.
Their red and green curry are as good or better than anything youll find in the Twin Cities for a great price. Both red and green curry are both Keto friendly, which is pretty hard to find when it comes to eating out. Quick and friendly service.
A very nice local owned restaurant. Had both dine in lunch and takeout supper. Love the green curry most.
This is one of my favorite local restaurants. I go here frequently and have always had incredible food. I highly recommend the drunken fried rice!
Delicious! Had the Tom Kha Soup, Khao Soi, Mango+Sticky Rice, and several appetizers.
Great food and fun employees. Reasonably priced and not too busy.
Thai Street Market makes wonderfully flavorful dishes. Everything Ive had has been amazing and I hope to continue eating from here for many years to come.
We started with fried dumplings, delicious! Then had the drunken noodles which were fantastic, my brother had pork pad Thai which was also fabulous. Will definitely go here again and recipe to others
Great spot with incredibly huge portions. Excellent service, tasty dishes, one of the better Thai places in msp
The food here is really good! I always get pad see ew with beef. It’s like 2 entire bucks cheaper than a lot of other Saint Paul places.I saw someone complain that the pad see ew sauce is too fish-saucy but I think it’s just not quite as dark of a soy sauce base as some other places. Not in a bad way!The only thing I wish sometimes is that the noodles were uhhh “wetter”? More sauce. The amount of sauce in the noodles seems to vary sometimes. Still good either way.
Been there a few times now the food is phenomenal the prices are reasonable and the people that work there are very nice!
My hopes were high for this resteraunt. It had the highest ratings for local Thai food.Upon entering it seemed a very small dining area, and completely empty. I spent a few hours here to give it a fair assessment. The lady working the counter is very good. For some reason she was alone, answering the phone, handling diners, takeout, Doordash, Uber eats, etc. I was getting stressed watching her. Other diners came in, and no one got the follow up they should have had.I ordered the chicken satay, massaman curry with beef, peanut curry with pork, and pad see eew with beef. All these dishes were well presented and tasty.I had my usual iced thai coffee. Very good. For dessert I had to flag down the front lady. She had already given me my bill and never asked if I wanted another beverage or dessert. I attribute this to her being alone, which should never happen in any resteraunt which hopes to stay above water. I hope today was an anomaly. The sticky rice with mango was not eatable. The glob or rice had eliminated too much, possibly was made several days ago. The coconut milk nearly absent. The mango was over ripe and stringy. Possibly the worst dessert I have had in a Thai resteraunt. The resteraunt was reasonably clean, though detail cleaning is needed next to the booths above the wainscotting. The table tops were very sticky. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, but very crowded feeling (I was alone, I refer to the floorplan).Thai Street Market 3/5
The food here is always fresh and tasty. I love the Bustling Basil stir fry. Such depth of flavor!
No frills restaurant, service is great and prompt. Be prepared for the dishes to be spicy and full of flavor. They will manage how spicy the dishes are, just need to ask.
Thai Street Market has done it again for me!!! I ordered through Door Dash. Not only are their soups amazing! But their rice dishes are amazing too! Right now Im eating the Drunken Fried Rice(spicywith shrimp. Nice big pieces of shrimp throughout the rice(my greedy behind picked all the shrimp out firstbut from this one pic you can see that they are not rinky dink sized shrimp that they use in their food. Looks like all the soups come with white rice so you can make it a full meal. I got the Tom-Tom soup tonight with shrimp. Delicious! Their servings are enough to eat some now and have leftovers or share(again Im greedy so I will be taking one for the team and eating it all by myself today and tomorrow). My other favorite soup is the curry. Eat it with rice...so good! Thai Street you have my blessing😇
The lady at the front desk was really nice I ordered some shrimp fried rice when I got home to eat it it tasted like someone boiled shrimp with ketchup and used the water as the broth to make the fried rice it was not good and it was almost 15 dollars I feel like I got riped off shouldnt never gotten it
The staff were wonderful. Food was not that good at all. Egg rolls were good. Pad thai was full of added sugar. It didnt taste like any pad thai Ive ever had before, and the peanuts were very stale. I would not recommend it. My dish had added sugar also. We wont be back.
Had have several dishes. The currys are terrific, drunken fried rice. LOVE the mango and sticky rice for dessert. I usually order on Door Dash and it is so fast. Happy to have this place nearby!!
I absolutely LOVE this place!! I get food from them all the time. They have a really easy process for delivery or pickup through door dash, but also its a cute and casual place to dine in.Their massaman coconut curry dish is amazing, and their pineapple fried rice is easily my favorite fried rice in the twin cities. The best specialty thing on their menu is the Lychee-Ginger Limeade, which I have never found at any other restaurant (and part of what keeps me coming back so often!). This is my favorite local restaurant, I honestly cant recommend it enough.
The red curry was very good. The pad Thai was okay for my wife. I thought it was good. Small and not very known for its location so go eat there! Very nice looking restaurant too.
Cheese puffs were amazingPad see ew had way too much fish sauce - couldnt eat it.Curry had some good flavor but needed spicePork and chicken skewers were very tasty
Their fried rice is AMAZING!!!! even the kids meal portion they give you a lot! Its so fresh its not all clumped together they use real fresh chicken. Its soooo good!!
Ordered takeout; pad Thai and panang curry, with an appetizer platter. Pad Thai was good but lacked adequate bean sprouts/veg., and the panache curry was basically protein and sauce with no veg. Egg rolls were good but spring rolls were nothing but shredded cabbage in rice paper. Disappointing.
A clean, simple restaurant with delicious Pad Thai (plenty of sauce)! I’d definitely come back.
Ive lived in the area for a few years and am just now trying this place. Food was great. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. The Thai tea is amazing!!! Definitely would recommend. Im sad I didnt try it sooner!!!
I have never been disappointed with the food from this place. The food is so good and service is always amazing. I have been going to this place since last year. I live in Bloomington area but I try to go to St Paul just for this place. Highly recommend this gem of a Thai place.
I ordered Orange Chicken/White Rice, however I got a side order of Beef Fried Rice, Cream Cheese Wantons. Good Meal, reasonable priced, and service was great. Thank You
I love this place the pad Thai is too die for. The service is always super fast and delicious. The food tastes like home cooking and would recommend to everyone. The prices and portions are amazing.
Love the food here. The service is fast and the food was delicious. I havent ordered take out, but they had a stream of people picking up food. there was even someone picking up that was on the phone telling their friend how good the food was and how often they order take out. Definitely try it if you like Thai food.
The Tom Kha soup with tofu is TO DIE FOR!!! So flavorful and comforting. Obviously the mango sticky rice is just phenomenal, so sweet and refreshing! I’m so happy to have found this little gem of a restaurant.
This is the best Thai Restaurant Ive ever been to. Im getting married this summer and these guys were our first choice for catering, not just because the food is insanely good, but the staff are so helpful! Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
This modest little strip mall in St. Paul is a hidden gem! We stopped in on a trip to Wisconsin for lunch. There was only one other customer there and as we were discussing the menu he spoke up to say how delicious his dish was, “I don’t know what I have here, a curry something, but it’s incredibly good!” With that input, we placed our order, including some appetizers. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. I ordered the basil stir-fry with pork. The pork was outstanding - probably marinated - accompanied by a savory mix of spiced vegetables and a sauce that was so delicious I wanted to lick the plate!
Disappointed that google reviews was at a 4.6 star, my family and I have had better Thai food. Food was not seasoned well, beef and chicken was dry and rough to chew. I got the tiger beef and my husband got the chicken satay. The only good thing was the pineapple fried rice. Did not contact the restaurant since there was no point, threw the leftovers in the trash.
Dined at Thai Street Market for the first time on Sunday March 7th. Had an amazing experience. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The dining area was clean and good presentation of the food. Will come back again 👌👌👌
Definitely our new favorite go to for Thai in our area. They offer a great selection and easy online ordering. Would highly recommend the peanut curry. My husband ended up eating half of mine and he isnt a huge curry fan. Cant wait to come back and try the other curries and some of the appetizers.
I was rather disappointed considering all of the good reviews on this place I was thinking I was sure to get some fantastic Thai food but I was wrong. The shrimp green curry was flavorless and the peppers in it overcooked and mushy, the steamed rice was gummy and not jasmine rice like most other Thai places I love. The spring rolls were all lettuces and some shredded carrots with ground pork and didn’t have any of the sliced roasted pork, shrimp and Thai basil like you would expect with a fresh spring roll. The sauce that came with them was delicious though. We ordered the egg rolls too and those were super delicious and that’s why I’m giving this place 3 instead of 1 star. The drunken fried rice was decent too. Just wish this placed lived up to the online reviews because my delivery was nice an quick...oh well.
Thanks for a tasty dinner! I got Beef Pad Thai and Chicken Satay to go. The Pad Thai was nice and packed in the container and I kept finding more and more beef as I ate. Great job, plenty of places go light on the beef. I ordered a level 4 for spice and it was what I figured itd be, maybe a little low. Chicken Satay was very tasty. Overall a little pricey for Thai food, at $19.42 for the two items, but it was still good for the portions and flavor. Ill be back!
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We tried it for the first time a few nights ago and were very impressed. The atmosphere was nice and the customer service was great. My oldest son and I both ordered the pad thai and were not disappointed. Flavors were spot on and the portions were very generous. My wife ordered a chicken curry noodle soup and she was also very happy. The other thing that was really nice to see was a childs menu that we were able to order from for our youngest. All in all a very good experience that left us wondering what we were going to order the next time we go!
Good food with good customer service. I wish the spring rolls have more meet in it and serve with peanut sauce.
Everything Ive had here is great. I love the tom kha.Edit: This place has become a staple for us. I bet we eat here 3 times a month. Its so amazing.
Amazing food! Im always on the hunt for great mango sticky rice, and they have it. I ordered to go and was pleased with the portion size and quality. The drunken noodles were spicy and delicious! The pineapple fried rice knocked my socks off. My husband enjoyed the wings. I would highly recommend Thai Street Market!
There are a few things that keep me coming back to Thai Street Market. The first is the basics. The place is clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly. Secondly the food is delicious. Like anywhere there are some things that I find better than others but everything Ive tried has had solid flavors and has been well prepared. Even the tofu was cooked well which has been a struggle for some other places. Lastly Ive appreciated the touch of individuality by having puzzles on every table. They are wooden block puzzles that give you a little challenge while your food in being prepared. Its an added touch that helps make for a unique experience.
Food for take-out and it was ready quickly and so hot it lasted the whole ride home plus more! We tried the Penang Curry and Tom Kha soup - both were "spicy" but were just the right balance of spice and flavor. We also tried the fresh spring rolls, which I wouldnt spring for again - they were mostly full of iceberg lettuce and would have been more delicious with a wider variety of fresh vegetables and more Thai basil. Despite the spring rolls, Im eager to try other items on the menu, so well be back!
Very good curry. Nice balance between sweet and spicy. The service was friendly and fast, and the dining area was very clean.
We had dinner here tonight and it was probably the best Thai food I’ve had in St Paul. The restaurant is nice, the food came quickly, and the service was great. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, and it’s now my new favorite soup. Absolutely delicious flavors and the serving size was huge! The hubby got the bustling basil and it was basically gone before I could take a bite. The drunken noodles were tasty, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect dessert to top off the meal.I definitely recommend Thai Street Market to anyone!
I picked up some take out from this restaurant tonight. I ordered two orders of the shrimp pad Thai medium spice. I highly recommend visiting here. It took all of 10 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I left the restaurant with my food. The man working the front was very nice and the seating area of the restaurant was very nice, clean, and comfortable looking. The pad Thai is great! The flavor is good and the spice level is just enough to give my tongue a tingle but doesn’t overpower the taste of the pad Thai. I will definitely visit again.
This is the best place. I’m so happy I live so close. I’ve been to Thailand and this is a good representation of how amazingly tasty and fresh Thai cuisine can be. The Thai Iced Tea is great and the Tom Kha Gai is to die for. Portions are generous.Update 10/17/18 : coming back time and again the quality and consistency is there. If you haven’t yet been here, you are missing out!
Purchased Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodlesand it was delicious. The amount of vegetables was awesome. The sauce was not as brown as I am used to but the flavor was just as great. The 5 spice level was not too spicy, but I am from Texas and can handle spice. Might be good for Minnesotans. I would definitely recommend this place for tasty Thai!
Service was great, good portions, and food came out quick. Thai Street is worth checking out, the place looks newly renovated, is clean, and nice server. Although my pad thai was good, I like Friends Cafes pad thai better. I dont like my pad thai to have runny sauce, I like it thicker and darker. If you like it with a strong tamarind sweet/sour flavor, you will like this. Its worth checking out again and Ill go back to try something else.
Thai Street Market is great! We ordered the Drunken Noodles with Tofu, Beef Pad Thai, and Laab, and they were all delicious! We ordered the Laab and Drunken Noodles "very spicy". One was super spicy, which delighted my husband. The other was what I would call mild. I would have preferred more heat, but the dish was wonderfully seasoned and perfectly prepared, and I would definitely order it again. My husband had an iced coffee, which was reportedly very good. It was only $3 and you could get free refills. The interior is very nice and most tables have a wooden puzzle or game at it. The service was excellent. This is a bright spot in an otherwise dingy strip mall, that offers authentic, well prepared food at reasonable prices, and I am looking forward to eating here again.
Cute place. Clean and the staff is great. Awesome food. Very authentic. I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and satays.
