Easygoing eatery with a patio serving traditional Thai fare with happy hour food & drink deals.
Best food and great outdoor seating. Excellent service and super nice!
Lunch portions were appropriate. Pad thai was tasty with lots of veggies. Tom yum soup came with the lunch special and it was delicious. We were in and out in less than an hour which was helpful for our travel day.
I did takeout but the host staff was very social as I waited for my order.
We love the Pad Thai! The wait staff are always very friendly and go out of their way to make your experience a good one.
Very good lunch. Open air was very nice.
Good good but nothing super awesome. We ordered vegetarian dumpling and tofu pad Thai. They were good. Staff is super nice.
Nice location and super friendly staff. Unfortunately, the chicken on the pad thai was dry and my friend ordered his with tofu and they gave him chicken instead.
Thai Smile of Rancho Mirage is excellent! Thank you for a delicious meal!
Great customer service and exquisite food!
Dined with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Since when does Pad Thai come with cheese? My first time ordering and last. I only ordered because I’m local. The sauce is supposed to be spicy but it’s tart with no spice. Sad Thai food. Chicken was dry and tasted old. Hopefully I won’t get sick.
Food was Very good, our service was top notch. The two of us had ice tea, an appetizer, two dinner dishes and our bill came to 80 dollars with tip.
Excellent food! Great service. Will definitely come back.
Amazing Thai food with an abundance of staff to ensure drinks are refilled and all needs are met. You gotta try the Pad Thai (sweet orange noodles with shrimp + your choice of meat), Pad See Ew (thick, wide noodles like Pad Thai), and Yellow Curry (not spicy).
Best red Curry in the Palm Desert area! The waiter Jeff was very professional and helpful. I will be a regular customer.
One star because it keeps happening. Courtney was less than helpful. There is a Huge difference between Tom Kha Kai like I asked for and Tom Yum Kai that has tomatoes. I spent 60 dollars to watch my family eat without me. Again.
Busy, place convenient location but it is worth the wait. The food is absolutely scrumptious and looks and tastes like thai food not like Chinese take out. Very good menu with a lot to offer and prices are very reasonable.
The Palm Springs location is closed for maintenance so I checked this one out and I was not disappointed. The server was very nice, the ambience is awesome because it’s in the El Paseo shopping district, and the food was just as good as a Palm Springs location!
Voted best Thai restaurant in the valley!
We had the coconut shrimp and Mu Shu Pork. Both were outstanding!! Excellent service. Nice environment inside or on the walkway.
Easter Sunday thinking we would have a delightful meal and enjoy our day. Instead we listened to screaming children non stop who were not asked to stop by their parents or management. The children were not crying but screaming high pitched at the top of their lungs. Funny? Not! Bad management.
This place was absolutely amazing. The food was great especially the dumplings and the chicken satay, it was so moist and yummy. My 11yo daughter loved all of it and she is not the type for Thai food. I would 100 percent recommend this place!
We had Thai Smile for dinner tonight and it was delicious! Easy to order for pick up, curbside parking and it was ready when we were told it would be! We had the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Pad Thai 😃
Food and service was EXCELLENT. Food arrived to our table fast and piping hot! Service was extremely friendly and efficient. This was my first visit but wont be my last. Im very happy this restaurant was recommended to me and encourage you to give it a try...every sauced entree was so tasty and the soup of the day was scrumpdelicious...the spring roll was perfect! Cant wait to go back!
I ordered late... just ten minutes b4 closing, (yikes- well not a problem! The very kind and confident owner graciously took my phone order but not before a quick check with the kitchen to make certain they could accommodate. And they did! The tom kah gai 4 entrees, the chicken, the beef, shrimp & the scallops, the vegetables and the tom kah gai soup were to die for. Every bite was heavenly - The ingredients were of the highest quality, fresh and perfectly balanced. A tiny bit pricey, but so worth it. Easily the best Thai food Ive had in over a decade. One very very small disappointment was in the use of white button mushrooms in the Tom kah gai, I expected, I think, shitake or champagne? Still you guys knocked it out of the park. Cheers!
Had lunch and dinner at Thai Smile Palm Desert. Tom Yum soup is so great. Thai Basil chicken is also very tasty. Service is excellent and very friendly. Love this restaurant!! Recommend it.
Oh delicious! Extensive menu, great service and we keep going back to experience a yummy dinner!
well my friend and I just got laid off , so here at 11:00 a.m. for drinks and lunch ..was really Nice lunch! Great food! Our visit made a bad morning into a good afternoon thank you Thai smile
Just got some takeout from Thai Smile - El Paseo location. We thought it best to get take out since everyone seems to have some COVID-19 variant lately! 😕 BTW, Tristan, who took our order via phone, was awesome. They were quoting an hour + for pick up, and he said he’d call me if it was done sooner… and he actually did!I’m mid-meal and had to post a review before I forgot! Everything we ordered is fantastic!! I had the yellow curry and my guy had pad Thai. My nose is happily running, and my tastebuds are bursting with joy 🤩. This will be our go-to Thai from now on.
Great staff, great service. Fried rice was awesome. Drinks were great and priced well. Worth a trip, we will return.
Thai Smile is one of the most consistent restaurants I have ever eaten at. I am here for lunch quite often, and the food is always prepared exactly the same way. The servers know me and remember my normal choices, which makes the experience quite pleasant overall. The food isnt entirely authentic, mind you. Their stuff is made a bit more sweet than most other Thai restaurants. That said, it doesnt mean I dont like the food. I am especially a fan of their garlic chicken, and their version of Kung Pao is delicious. Their Tom Yum soup is definitely a little different, too, lacking the usual strong tangy lemongrass flavor usually associated with it. They have changed this classic soup enough that it, while similar to other Tom Yum soups, has its own unique flavor that is really great. So, if you are looking for a pure Thai experience with 100 percent authentic food, this isnt necessarily the best choice. Nevertheless, the food is delicious if you are willing to give it a chance, and the friendly servers make the dining experience here a true pleasure.
Delicious food; great service. Ive only gone to the one in downtown Palm Springs. Many times. So I wanted to check this one out. I think the prices are the same. Theyve been raised recently at the Palm Springs one and its relatively expensive for Thai food but you get what you pay for. Its delicious. Maybe a little better than the Palm Springs location. I wish I could have ordered everything on the menu. The only complaint I have is that the water is unfiltered. I cant believe that a restaurant charging those kinds of prices is going to bring a glass of water to the table that tastes like tap water. Im sure that they filter the water for their ice machine. I dont know why they couldnt filter the water for the customers table water. I had a cocktail, which was just okay, but I like to drink water while I eat, and the flavor of the water was so bad that I mostly went without. It definitely diminished the dining experience for me.
Youll never go wrong with this place! Everything on the menu is amazing! Chicken Pad Thai is to die for! Super clean and friendly staff. Great ambiance! 5 stars
Good food and nice outdoor seating. Service is good and the atmosphere was inviting. Plenty of parking out back and curb side pick up. They have several locations but this review is for the location is at 73725 El Paseo Dr, Palm Desert, CA 92260
Very good food and service. I would say this restaurant has fairly typical Thai cuisine. Good but nothing special to make it stand out from others like it.
Food was good but service was a bit distracted by the amount of customers dining there. They made mistakes with one dish, bringing out the wrong one.
I did visit the resurant with my on 4th of July weekend. Place kept clean has enough parking available in back.Staff was very friendly. Food decent and tasty. I really enjoyed the soup came as a side. Thai tea was well balanced. Little pricy. Overall we enjoyed our visit.
I come here just for Tom Yum Kai hot pot. My go to soup when I dont feel good. The lemongrass and tomato is a match made in heaven. I enjoy many items off the menu but that is my constant
It’s was Christmas Day and obviously everything was closed. My wife and I were touring around Palm Desert and late at night realized we would not be able to find any place that would be open. Luckily we drove by Thai Smile and saw open doors and Open sign! Called in, placed the order and bam! Delicious fried rice with shrimp with great portion! We were really happy to have found this place. Would order from them again whenever in the area!
We are visiting from SF and NEVER get such good Thai food there! This is a hidden gem!
In town for a short break from life and found this gem on Google. Excellent Thai. The beef salad was on point, fresh ingredients and crispy beef (my favorite). Also had green curry shrimp (hotand it was delish! Service was excellent as well. We recommend!
We like to be loud & we where LOL not one complaint; also not one about the food. It was so so so so good! Happy birthday Chad Fields
Did this place because we felt like a Thai dinner, and we were pleased. They seated us outside upon our request and the evening was great. We had the spicy fried rice and Devil scallops, both excellent and fairly priced especially for the location. The serving size were large enough to share.
Absolutely fantastic. Immediately greeted by friendly staff, welcomed and seated at a table with fresh glasses of water with lemon. Waitress answered all my questions and brought out or soup and salad quickly after ordering. Salad was nice and simple with that yummy, lick the plate, peanut dressing. Soup was equally delicious. I ordered pad thai and she ordered #21. Food was delicious, side of chillis and hot sauces made it heat-licious...we ordered some yellow curry and tom yum kai soup to go with us. This place is great for lunch, prob just as good for dinner. We got there about 1:30pm and there were plenty of tables. Our waitress informed us that lunch was very busy.
Amazing food and loved the curry and satay chicken
Came here because Blue Orchid Thai was closed and ended up loving it! Great location, service and food! Loved the stuffed chicken wing appetizer! Everything was fresh. Drunken noodles were a bit on the spicy side, probably why they call them spicy noodles on menu instead of drunken noodles. Will definitely be back again next time were in Palm Desert!
I never, ever wrote a negative review in my years of using google. But this place is simply terrible. The food quality and presentation is that of a Chinese buffet somewhere in rural New Jersey. The only Thai "element" of this place are the decorations on the wall (although I would have to bring my Thai niece to take a look at those "treasures"I went on with my family and a friend who never before had Thai food. What a disappointment. The staff - a couple of bully looking fellows - made an effort but I could see how my kids were intimidated just by their presence. We left food unfinished on the table which NEVER happens with my family. All this for the price that could pay for a family dinner in an upscale place in L.A. I have no idea as to who is leaving a 5 star reviews here but clearly they had NOT eaten authentic Thai food yet. Avoid this place. Its a disgrace that pretends to be something special.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch and a few drinks. This was our first time here at this location. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. The bartender Brian was great! Excellent customer service, very attentive and welcoming. Good job! We will definitely be back!
Good food, lots of options including gluten free which is awesome. Plus the service is great wait staff was friendly and on top of everything, I will definitely be going back. The portions are great perfect for one and to share the lunch menu is great the appetizer was light and flavorful and so is the food I felt satisfied and not weighed down by the food. :Perfect for a lunch or dinner date.
Came here for the first time last night. Hubby had Red Mountain, and I chose Sizzling Combo, both of which were delicious, with very fresh vegetables and nicely flavored meats and shrimp. Our fresh spring rolls were very good, but arrived stuck together meaning they had to be cut apart, tearing the skins, which made a bit of a mess. Still, they were very tasty. We enjoyed everything.Service is friendly and excellent. Well be back!
