Thai Kitchen in Idaho Falls

We have gone regularly in the past...and love the food, but let me share my most recent experience.We have been going through some heavy things as a family, and we wanted to have a comfort meal, so we chose Thai Kitchen. The meal was good (as usualand it helped as tears were shed at the table. My 3-year old son got up on my lap and took a sip of my soda. A server came up to me and told me he would let it go this time, but next time I share my drink he would need to charge me. Maybe I am wrong here, but the timing of his message was not great. While the server was at the table, I told my son he cant have any of my drink. He took it as well as to be expected as he buried his face into my shoulder.After the meal, after my wife and son and our friend had walked out, I went to apologize to the server. I let him know we were going through a tragedy. He then let me know that I should be teaching my son about honesty and shouldnt share my drink. That was fun.So...if you want good food, this is the place. Also, if you want a great lesson on teaching your children about honesty by not sharing a sip of your soda with them...this is the place.

The pad Thai has tasted amazing every time Ive tried it. After reading the poor reviews it seems most of them are from poor customers not wanting to pay for their food, staying after closing, and upset English isnt a first language at a Thai restaurant. I will continue going because they havent let me down.

Im not in the habit of revising reviews but need to voice my outrage over our recent experience.Friday night we stopped for dinner and place had to occupied tables. We were led to our table, given menus and NEVER waited on. We left. Woman played on her phone, man disappeared into kitchen and we never saw him again. People at the next table had to walk up to get their check and pay.We will never visit again. Use to be our go to 😫

We are never coming back here. The waiter is the rudest and meanest waiter we have ever met. We warned all of our family and friends!

5 star restaurant on food. Interior is lacking. Just feels dinghy. Their sister restaurant seems to be better taken care of. Still delicious and worth every bite. I just prefer eating out from here.

Love the Thai Kitchen! Lots of plant based options and the food is delicious! The service and atmosphere so superb. This visit I got the Pad Woon Sen and some spring rolls. I love the bean noodles with the cooked vegetables. This is one of our go to places!

This place was awful STAY AWAY!!!. I went 2 weeks ago and ordered food to go. The waitress almost demanded that I pay before I got my food. I said I would pay once I got my food and that almost caused an uproar. The only guy that spoke English came out to talk to me and I told him the same thing. The food finally cane out and it wasnt that good. If you are in Idaho Falls and want Thai food I highly recommend DEE KITCHEN the food is great and service much better than this place......STAY AWAY!!! The best Thai food Ive had in a while. Definitely recommend!

Food was okay but server was completely out of line. We didnt have much money for food but my little sister and her boyfriend wanted to treat me out to dinner for my birthday. We went in try the place out since wed never been before and our service was a little poor due to the fact our server didnt speak very clearly with us or ask us really any questions. But when we went to pay, we were paying the exact bill total, the server saw our cash and counted it, he started arguing with us about not leaving a tip and wouldnt leave us alone. So we had to give him what little money we had to leave. Absolutely not okay!!!

My pastor warned me about this place and we we continued to go here up till today.After finishing our meal, the waiter came to our table and scolded us for only giving a $5 tip for 3 people. He said that his boss was going to think he did a bad job since the tip was small. I hope his boss reads this so he knows he did do a good job, and maybe he’s right If we cant afford the big tip we should not eat there. Well, he wont be having that problem any more since we wont be going back.

Food was awful and expensive, both my boyfriend and I got sick. Orange chicken was pretty well sauceless and rice was undercooked

The food and service here was great! Full disclosure, this was my first time trying Thai food, so I cant speak towards authenticity. Everything we had here tasted amazing.They let you determine the spice level in your dish. Im the type of person who thinks medium salsa is hot enough lol, so I got my food at a spice level of 2. I didnt think it was too spicy. I tried my husbands food which was a spice level of 4 and it wasnt so spicy that I couldnt eat it.The portion sizes were good as well. I got the Pad Thai and I had leftovers (which doesnt normally happen to me lol).Overall a great place. We will be coming back again!

Regular customer! We eat here all the time and bring friends here when they come to town. Never been disappointed. House curry is to die for. The classic dishes are spot on.The only thing I dont like about this place is that its SO good I eat too much and get fat.And it is one of the few places you can get truly spicy food if you want it (they ask what level of spice you prefer so dont be afraid).

Wonderfully delicious dinner. Had the beef and broccoli shared with daughter. Son had orange chicken and loved it. Uncle had pork with onion and pepper, and it was delicious. Son had the mango sticky rice to finish and it was super delicious. The mango sticky rice is still the best Ive tried.

Im so frustrated. We started going to the Thai Kitchen because we would get the worst service from a man that worked at Dees. We went to enjoy some food there today and the same guy that worked at Dees is now working here 😫😫So i asked for a gluten free noodle in another dish and he agrued it couldnt be done and there was no sesame sauce just seeds when the menu clearly said a sauce. At this point we decided to go to Dees knowing he wouldnt be there. I walked out and he insisted that my husband pay for our appetizer. My husband came back to the car and said the guy asked him why we started to come here when he saw us at Dees all the time. And seriously we started going there because of him being at Dees. Only good thing that comes out of this is we can start going back to Dees. So i guess with that it should be a 5 star rating 🤣🤣

Excellent, clean establishment with fantastic employees and delicious food. I had the yellow curry and it was divine! Definitely appreciated the spicy scale offered (1-5as I have a more sensitive stomach.

The best Thai food from Idaho Falls to Rexburg, maybe farther! Try the Tom Kha, its delicious! Friendly staff, good portions and reasonable prices. We go back often.

We got here 30-40 minutes before closing and the waiter was very quick from the moment we sat down to get us to order. Throughout the evening he was making comments about closing soon, which made us want to rush because we felt bad. The other table left early because he seemed to be rushing them too. While mopping he made a comment about us needing to hurry up or that he could "take us home with him." He brought to-go boxes without us asking for them and when I told him we paid to eat our meal at our leisure, he asked us if we were students and knew how to work, and how he teaches his sons respect. He mentioned that the kitchen staff was really tired from the day and wanted to go home, mind you this was just minutes before they were officially closed. He then even proceeded to take out his tip money and hold it out to us saying "here take it back then." He was overdramatic and rude when we ended up staying only 5 minutes after their official closing time. The food was good but the customer service was terrible, if you want to sit down and actually enjoy a meal, do NOT come here unless you want to be rushed out and harassed at the exact minute they close.

My food was okay...The food itself wasnt bad. The flavor was definitely there - along with a lock of someones hair. On a scale of 1-5,I ordered a spice level 3 & the spice was almost non-existent. Although, it didnt matter much once I discovered the hair because it went directly in the trash along with my appetite. My thai tea was heavy on the milk.My coworker ordered the orange chicken lunch special and said it was okay. He appreciated that it wasnt drowned in sauce like many other places. The lunch specials are a pretty good deal if youre looking for decent food at an affordable price.We ordered our food over the phone and took it back to the office. I called the restaurant as soon as I discovered the hair and the woman on the other line apologized. I wasnt able to go back since I was on my lunch break and Im not quite sure if I want to.Based on other reviews, Thai Kitchen is probably a pretty decent place as long as your experience is much better than mine.

Terrible customer service, rude server, very abrupt, not helpful, and walks away when you’re trying to talk to them. Food was “ok” nothing to rave about. There were more carrots than any other vegetables stated in their menu and pictures. Noodles were super soggy. This place has changed. Not like it used to be. Not coming back.

NEVER AGAIN! I have enjoyed this place in the past but the customer service and the management have made recent experiences absolutely terrible! I’ve never been treated so poorly. The owner and staff are rude. They got so upset over a simple request and just started speaking and shouting in what I assume was Thai. The food is okay, but definitely not worth being treated so bad. I won’t be back.

Enjoyed our meals, the waiter was nice just spread thin as he was the only one. The seats are really old with springs poking you a bit, so Ill bring a cushion next. Gotta love the Thai posters, if youve been there you know what I mean.

Food tasted great and was portioned well. It was delivered quickly. The price was fairly reasonable too. I got a soup and an entree for less than $20.

I almost exclusively order to-go. The food is very consistent, delicious, and always the right temperature. Its so good! Easily my favorite Thai food in Idaho Falls.

Thai Kitchen never disappoints. I would say that this location is thriving! Yellow curry is hands down my favorite thing to get here because it’s consistently delicious. 10/10 recommend this place if you are thinking about visiting (or probably thinking about returning now for some yellow curry)

I generally love this place. Went in today (Sunday)and placed an order to go, I was told it would take 20 minutes. One hour and 10 minutes later I still didn’t have my food. At one point I was told I came in at peak time (14:24). I spoke with the server a couple times after 45 minutes and was told that it would be ready soon. My issue was, that two groups of people who came in after me got served and were almost done before I even got my order. Very disappointed. Might be looking for a new Thai place.

Delicious Thai food and vegan options. Very busy.Cons— scary bathroom and have to cross through a cloth tapestry to get to the hallway with the bathroom. Lots of flies.

My wife and I were so craving some Thai food. We stopped by this little gem and we were so pleased. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. I was impressed with the cooks as the food was cooked perfectly. Most times the green peppers are either undercooked and make the food bitter or overcooked and have a soggy taste. My food was cooked perfectly. My compliments to the chef and staff.

I don’t know if this place is a sister restaurant to Dee Kitchen (my wife swears the orange chicken is exactly the same at both placesbut they are definitely tied for best Thai place in town.Even just writing this review is making me hungry for some drunken noodles and chicken satay.I’m kinda sad that the weather has been as hot as it has been because the Penang curry is one of the best I’ve had and my sister in law is born and raised Thai.

I stopped and picked up some Pineapple fried rice and pot stickers for dinner for my wife, her favorite. I also, ordered Drunken noodles, when I arrived, it was almost closing time, but they staff were great as always, and took my order, and got it out right at closing time. The only thing that didnt hit all expectations was the heat level seemed a bit off, it wasnt hot enough, but the food was nonetheless delicious, and we will of course no back again.If you are in the mood for Thai, this place will satisfy your craving for sure!

My husband and I were had been traveling for hours. We arrived in Idaho Falls late and were hungry. I was craving rice. We found Thai Kitchen on google thought we would give them a try. The food was awesome! I ordered the broccoli, carrots and chicken with rice, egg rolls and the Tom Yum soup. The lady who took my order was friendly and made sure my order was correct. The soup arrived hot and it was delicious! We are from Boulder Colorado and would love a restaurant like this. So...if you want to expand you would be popular here. I appreciate your great food and friendly service! I would highly recommend everyone to try this place, it’s awesome! Oh yeah I got full and took the leftovers with me and heated them up the next day and the food was still tasty! 👍😊😊😊😊🌻🌻🌻😎😎😎😎

Man this place is amazing. Great food I had the Pad See Ew and it was great I loved the flavor of this dish. I also had a Thai Iced tea and it was very good as well. Must stop spot if your here in Idaho Falls.

This place has always been a great place to eat! I have been consistently eating here since they first opened. The staff are the reason I’m leaving the review tho. They are very respectful and it doesn’t matter how close they are to closing they will still serve you. I’d give them 6 stars if there was a option for that!

The food is always so flavorful and exactly as we hope for every time we visit. The staff is incredibly friendly and make sure you always leave happy and satisfied. Id recommend this place 1,000x over to anyone looking for delicious Thai food. The best in East Idaho for sure!

Absolutely hands down the best Thai food around! I travel about an hour one way just to get the "Chicken Pad Thai #5🔥" 🥵🤤 The door and signs outside say "Best Thai food" well thats absolutely true!

Had take-out dinner there tonight and service was fast and efficient. I had spring rolls and pad Thai with tofu. The spring rolls were OK, But I don’t like my deep fat fried as well, which these were. I did enjoy the pad Thai, especially since they include some nice fresh vegetables on the side and provide a generous serving of tofu as well as the noodles. I went with a number to level of spice it was just Right. You got a little kick without being blown out.This is a solid Thai restaurant with great food. I’m actually surprised how good it is for a small town. I would recommend that you give it a try if you are in the area

Staff was super friendly and food was great! Portion sizes are a little on the bigger side so you can have leftovers for another meal or easily split it with another person. Their sweet and sour chicken is really good, and they get the spice level that you want right on the nose.

This place is great. Affordable prices, delicious food, and nice big serving sizes. The waitresses are super friendly and helpful. I loved that you can choose your level of spiciness for your entres. They make really good curry! Will be back.

This is the best Thai restaurant! The service spectacular ❤️ We go about once a week and they know our order.. because they are just that sweet! We do family style where we get multiple dishes and share so we get a bit of everything. Sometimes things come out faster than others which is perfect because you KNOW your food isn’t sitting in the back under some food lamp, and you can snack a little at a time. Also their spice levels are perfect. We love spicy food and I have never been disappointed! Fast, delicious, amazing staff and great menu! I give 5 stars and more because of what I experience, and how the food tastes (which is the most important thing!I have had Thai food since I was a child and have been to multiple restaurants, so I know good Thai food when I have it! Highly recommended!
