Traditional Thai fare & some crossover items are served with soft drinks in a relaxed setting.
Amazing Vegan pineapple curry. All their curries are Vegan and they have many more Vegan options. Would highly recommend if youre visiting Durango!
Oh god this place was the best find in pur trip. It was a rainy day and they dont have a dine in so we ordered and enjoyed the food in car and everything we ordered was bomb.We ordered Fried Dumplings, Thai Egg rolls, Soft Veg Spring rolls (too good), pine apple chicken fried rice, Spicy Basil Fried rice (fried rice was best nicely done a safe option)Grilled chicken Peanut Salad (this was a first try and it was unexpectedly so good the chicken was so tender and juicy with all the sauces do try this)Overall If we visit Durango again we’ll taks out for sure. If you’re reading this, just go order already!!
Ordered a pickup and got the wrong order! Super frustrating to get home and everything is super spicy (I ordered no spice for the kidsand not even the correct items. I double checked my order. Yep, I said no spice and I didnt get the chicken satay I ordered.
Mediocre. I had a hankering for thai food. I had some pretty disappointing take-out from here about 7 months ago but decided to give it another try. First off, dine in is not an option here and hasnt been since before COVID. The owner should state that on their website and/or social media, as I saw many people find this out as they approached the restaurant and then just walked away disappointed. My bf decided to order anyway and eat outside in the rain. Unfortunately, both dishes were bland; the beef in my dish was gray and flavorless. The dishes looked like thai food, just didnt taste like really anything. Would not recommend.
This is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to. Great service. Out in 10 min. My bf and I ordered the curry fried rice and the Tom yum and both were absolutely excellent! 100% recommend.
Very disappointed. Pad Thai was slightly better than store bought frozen. Way over priced.
We were sad. It was not that great, they got the order wrong and made my daughter’s spicy, not made traditional at all… AND noodles for 3 cost $80! Aftertaste and feel of MSG.
Me and my friend ordered the pad Thai gang-dang and the soft spring rolls. There is a takeout window adapted for covid safety and our order took around 15-20 minutes to be ready for pickup. The kitchen smelled so good and the spice is real! The soft spring rolls are vegetarian and the peanut sauce was very yummy :)
We absolutely Loved it! This was our first time in Durango and somebody from our hotel recommended this place. Loved the customer service and the convince of this restaurant. We ordered a lot of dishes and loved EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Highly recommend checking this place out if you love spicy Thai food.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in all of Durango. Not only is the food exceptional and delicious every single time, but the staff is so incredibly friendly and personable. I have never once had a negative experience at this restaurant and I have probably ordered nearly 100 times at this point, literally. They have a large selection on their menu, and the prices are incredibly fair for the portions. This is always my first choice for takeout, and they also have great outdoor seating. I seriously can’t recommend this place enough, this is where I take my friends from out of town, it’s where I want to eat on my birthday every year, and the red curry is the only thing that makes me feel better when I have a cold. It’s like magic when you’re sick! They even sell the broth on its own, and I drank that when I had lost my voice and it was like a medicine allon its own. I can’t explain how amazing this place is!
Don’t waste your time or money! I placed an order online and paid for it online. My brother went to go pick it up. They gave him the wrong order and charged him for the wrong order. He didn’t realize that I had paid for our order online already. He brought back the wrong order all the way to our house. When we called them to tell them they gave us the wrong order, they asked us to return the wrong order and pick up the correct order. So that’s what we did. It took us two hours to get our food. I’ve called multiple times to get a refund for the incorrect charge. Nobody will call me back. So we disputed the charge with our credit card company. Portions are small, not that good and overpriced.
Garlic Chicken was incredible today. 1st visit and now that I know this is excellent I will be a supporter of this restaurant.
After five days camping we were looking forward to our hotel and a good meal we didnt have to cook:). We ordered beef Panang curry, chicken larb, Tom kha gai soup and a Thai iced tea for a total of $60 odd dollars. The curry had about four pieces of beef and a few measly bits of broccoli in it, the soup was seemingly devoid of coconut milk (regular milk?!with no real flavor and the chicken larb was so over the top salted we had to add it to the tasteless soup to make it edible -- my boyfriend couldnt even stomach it after a few bites and had stomach issues the entire next day of travel. We ended up throwing it all out after a few bites and eating almond butter sandwiches.Super disappointed as owner seemed nice.
We ordered takeout at the window and they were super fast! It was really good. I think I got a stir fry. Definitely need to go back.
Wonderful service and food! We got the yellow and green curry, even the mild is hot but loved it. The portions are generous as well, plan to be back!
Great food! Would highly recommend. I personally love the Pad Thai with veggies and tofu. The food is hot! Make sure to order with-in your heat range. They do not have indoor seating at the moment. They do have seats outside with heaters though.
UPDATE after 7 months: must have got someone new because spring rolls were cut in half and fell apart, curry was runny as soup, and the phadkeemow smells of urea. Also put in pork instead of beef. Extremely disappointed as this place used to be great. I feel cheated. The pic is of curry, not soup.~~Fantastic food~~
Tom Kah soup, Pad See Ew and Pineapple fried rice. Spectacular food. It was hot and ready in 10 minutes.
The best pad thai!! I travelled to Thailand a few years ago and was still comparing it to Thai Kitchen. The only thing I have to say is the spice level is not consistent. I always order medium and sometimes it’s a good medium spice level, others I can barely eat it because it’s so spicy! But we still go here at least 2-3 times a month because it’s so good!
Not a ton of options in town, but this is one of our favorites for Asian food. We really like many dishes here, but especially the Pad Thai Gang Dang (sp?and the custard on black sticky rice (dessert). Additionally, the owners seem to be operating with good sense regarding the pandemic and restrictions by switching to takeaway and outdoor seating.
Ordered take out from here one night while we were traveling through based on a recommendation from our hotel concierge. It did not disappoint. Pineapple fried rice was a favorite. Fast, friendly service. Worth checking out!
Used to have really good curries but the past few times Ive ordered takeout they have been super watery. Previously they had been really rich/creamy.They also used to have this spicy sauce you could get on the side (fish/lime/pepper/?but no longer offer it. That sauce was a game changer.Still ok food, but it seems like the quality has gone down and nobody likes watery curry...Edit: Also, as someone else mentioned, the spice levels are really inconsistent. Sometimes you order hot and its really mild, other times it melts your face off. Last green curry I ordered was actually red in color because of all the red chile flakes they put in there (ordered hot).
$55 bummer for Thai Food lovers.Advise against eating here based on our food quality was poor in comparison to every Thai food restaurant we have eaten from.2 shrimp! In the Seafood Pad Thai for a price of $29 amidst a pile of overcooked fish. Then too Chicken satay that was pcs of overcooked chicken not grilled or sticks but served soaked in sauce atop pcs of raw cabbage. Special Thai Spring Rolls (39.95 over-fried well beyond golden brown to as close to burnt as you can get without calling them burned.
I recommend the seafood basil stir fry. It was the best thing Ive eaten in a long time! Get the mild unless youre really brave. There were four fillets of fish and I lost track of how many shrimp there were!
I love this place! Its super quick service and the food is always so good. The only thing I have is that the spiciness levels can be pretty inconsistent for the mild meals, but its honestly worth the gamble. This is one of the few restaurants I go to frequently.
Good food but very expensive compared to other restaurants of its kind. Since Covid they were doing takeout window only and then started asking for a tip. The past couple months we noticed they already include a tip on the takeout bill and we have to ask them to remove the $5-7 or so for two meals just to pick it up from takeout which we do not believe is right. No one is waiting on tables and cleaning so we don’t understand the point of the tip especially at that amount. You need to plan on $35 to $45 for 2 to eat there.
Not impressed. Staff friendly & food was nice but an order of beef noodle soup and ginger pork stir fry became chicken noodle soup and ginger beef stir fry. This was only discovered after opening after a 7 mile drive. Ordered for a 7:15 pick-up with 90 minutes advance notice and finally got it at 7:30. Maybe it’s just a Monday issue.
While visiting Durango, weve eaten here before. Its nice to be able to order online, pick up and eat outside at their tables The food is very tasty... medium spice is just perfect.
Suddenly Over priced ! And you don’t get what you pay for $50.00 for a medium container of fried rice and 1/2 a medium container of tom kha soup and they did not even offer rice to go with the soup, sad to see a what was a good place go this way; we won’t be going back.China café is a better choice honestly, price and portion is on point.
Currently doing takeout only. The service is great but the food is just ok. It may be the good Thai food spot for Durango but it is not good. They didnt use the correct noodles for pad thai. The flavor tastes very off. The stir fry is very bland. If you are craving some asian food in Durango, I recommend Rice Monkeys.
$9 for three spring rolls that had only lettuce mix and a little bit of cilantro inside... lettuce was starting to rust, a sliver of carrot...The Pad Thai was equally uninspired... noodles had been broken into tiny bits, no egg , no cabbage, no yellow onion, very little chicken, and very dry.Overall not impressed with this place at all. Typical tourism destination food that can be beat by any hole in the wall Thai owned restaurant elsewhere. Sorry such a poor review but it just wasnt worth the $.
Food was absolutely incredible! The spring rolls and peanut sauce were especially delicious. The spice levels seem pretty accurate, so the highest level is definitely spicy.
Great walk up carryout window, easy in easy out, I really enjoyed the red curry, the heat was perfect not alot, not too little. Will come again.
Excellent menu choices, delicious quality food. John helped us select entrees based on our preferences and experiences with Thai food. John is very knowledgeable and obviously proudly works there. He said the owners are caring and thoughtful about their recipes, preparation, and what they serve. I highly recommend this gem in Durango.
Food flavor just ok. Paid $70 for 3 meals and a side. Very pricey, and did not get our order right would had to wait an additional 20 minutes for them to make the correct meal we ordered so we left with the wrong order. Will not return.
The food is very delicious and the flavors are bright. I order from here often. What erks me is there is no consistency on portion size. Sometimes you pay 14 for a full container of soup, sometimes you pay 14 for less than half a container of soup. That is insanely annoying because half the time you dont get a full container. So Im asking for consistency! Thank you and the food is very tasty!
I come here a lot. But just last Saturday, a new guy was working. When I got there, he wouldn’t stop talking about the tupparware even when I was trying to leave. Other than this I love Thai kitchen and I go often. The employees are really welcoming.
This restaurant doesn’t look like much but don’t be fooled. The food is amazing and the service is good. I usually go for the soups but the pad Thai is delicious and so is the curry. Watch out. The spicy options are very spicy.Update: One of the employees recommended the basil wings. Oh my are they delicious. I’ve never had wings like this. I love the sweet, tangy Asian food flavor.
Had a very good meal here, fast, friendly service, hit the spot for good Thai food. The only thing I noticed that I have not seen anywhere else was that there were large pitchers of ice water at every single table, just sitting there waiting. Ive never seen a restaurant do that before. Reviewed on 10/5/2019
A totally medium experience.Ordered drunken noodles. They came out with pad thai noodles, not the wide flat bois you might expect. Flavor was fine, but nothing exciting. The beef was dry and lacking flavor.Plenty of veggies, but just boiled and also lacking good flavor.I think the place accross the street is more worth your time.
I came in from Texas and was excited to enjoy one of the only places in this area to get Thai food. The first bite of the Thai egg rolls was excellent, accompanied by my happy dance and all. I was in the middle of telling my travel partner about just how good they were and then bam... a hair was slung around my egg roll. It wasnt just a hair, hell I still have eaten food after discovering a eyelash or something. This was a knotted up string of hair. 🤮 I immediately called the restaurant. I was transferred to the owner, she couldnt comprehend what I was saying so I was transferred over again. The man who answered didnt apologize or even sound shocked about it. I was offered a free eggroll in return.
Fairly busy little restaurant off the high street of Durango. Take out only during the virus. Food was average and made more towards American style. Traditional Thai fried rice is with egg and onions, this version had all kinds of vegetables in it. Second dish was seafood yellow curry. Plenty of fish and seafood but the curry was watery. Medium heat is low heat. Tried the black rice for dessert. Real Thai dessert does not have chocolate sauce in it. One taste then trash.
Loved their food. We ordered pineapple fried rice, Spicy basil fried rice, garlic shrimp, yellow curry seafood. Each of them was mouth watering. Highly recommended.
Great Food! If you are a fan of Thai this is the place to go. 2 plates and an appetizer for $40. Very reasonable and very good. We ordered Chicken Satay, Green Curry Chicken and Phad Thai Gang-Dang. I will say the spice and the description was right on. Hot was just that, but great flavor. The wife also found medium "hot" but not overly spicy. I love that water was on the table so you didnt need to wait for the staff to refill. This is a no frills dining room and not many tables, but walk in, sit down and someone will be right there.
Thai Kitchen has a laid-back atmosphere, so reservations and dressing up is not required. However, the food and fast service are stellar. There are plenty of vegetarian tofu and vegetable options on the menu. The place is usually not too crowded, and Thai Kitchen also delivers. The spring rolls are absolutely fantastic.
We’ve ordered food here 3 times, and everything is tasty. We especially love the Pad Thai. Tonight we ordered the Spring Roll Deluxe as an appetizer, and it was way overpriced for what you get. It’s a combo of eggs rolls and spring rolls, but the soft spring rolls were so tiny and nothing like the size you get when you order the them alone. For two tiny eggs rolls and two tiny springs rolls, it is not at all worth $8.95. We won’t make that mistake again.
We came here not expecting much, but it’s one of those hole in the wall places that has amazing food! It’s a very small restaurant with few tables so we were lucky to get a table on a Friday night. We ordered the chicken satay for an appetizer and it was delicious. We had the house fried rice for entrees and it was the best fried rice I’ve had besides my dad’s. Tons of flavor and cooked perfectly. We chose mild but it was pretty spicy. Service was friendly. I would definitely be back when we’re in town again.
I dont usually give bad reviews because its a small town but I thought that the place was dirty, the spring rolls had a nasty sweet sauce covered over lukewarm spring rolls and my pad Thai had the same nasty sauce. I went to the bathroom and the bathroom is disgusting. The kitchen is filthy and the service was ridiculous . I will never go back . My daughter and partner love it so there you go!
One of my best thai restaurant. Very small place but food is simply amazing. Ordered garlic chicken, it was yummy. Tried spicy fried rice from a friend, it was really good too. Yellow curry fried rice is good too...
The service was fantastic, from the moment the opened the door for us to sitting us right away. It was a shared menu, adding some of the sushi from the neighboring kitchen at East by Southwest, which we ordered a riceless roll from, and it was killer, and great to look at. We also got some chicken dumplings as a starter, which had this yummy sausage taste to with a delicious white sauce drizzled on them. For the entire we had the mussaman curry which was overflowing with flavor, from the anise to the green apple chunks. This was the best Thai curry Ive had! I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who loves Thai and Asian flavors!!!
