Wax museum since 1989 with fiberglass sculptures depicting famous figures in Thai history & culture.
Nice history lesson, short but interesting and an opportunity to take a picture with 9 Kings.
I came here for the first time 30 years ago.
This is a beautiful place for foreigners interested in thai history and thai nationals who want to know more about their country, magnificent job by the artist who created identical life size statues, portraits., but disappointed once again with the triple pricing for foreigners, my thai friendbpaid 80 baht I paid 300, for a foreigner to enjoy culture and fine art in thailand sure will have to pay a steep price and to me is discriminating and shameful, I will try not visit places that will triple price me. But if you dont mind then go because you will be richer in culture.
Small museum not to walk far for kids.
As a tourist you pay 300 Bath to enter the museum, locals pay 80. Inside a nice museum less than 25 % og the exhibition have English texting
A two-level museum with ample free parking. Wheelchair friendly. Can access upper floor via elevator.Astounding lifelike figures of Thai monarchs, revered monks, Thai mythical and historical figures with a few international figures thrown in. Very realistic artwork. I especially liked the Thai children figures engaging in retro pastimes.Visitors are allowed to freely take photographs in the museum except with/of the Thai monarchs. You have to engage the in-house photographer with payment of 60 baht per 8x11” printed photo.Bear in mind almost half of the figures are of revered Thai monks who are mostly unknown to foreigners. Despite that, it was an amazing visit.
The picture are so real
This a Thai-focused wax museum featuring mostly famous Buddhist monks from the past. All in all it is very well done; the figures all look very real! But unless youre interested in Thai monks or the simple amazing artistry of the wax figures themselves, you may not find it too interesting.Madame Taussads (spin Bangkok will better satisfy more general interests.
Truly amazing and surreal experience. You are greeted by such a high level of precision and realism in the exhibited work. Famous monks, thai monarchy, images of thai society and even Mahathma Ghandi.Outside they have stalls for trinkets and food and paddle boats.Great for the kids too.
This place is wax museum where is not too far from Bangkok. Its not big as there are 2 floors in the building so it could spend time about 1-1.30 hour to finish the tour(if its not crowded). There are a couple of rooms that we are not allowed to take pictures as we can see the sign and their staffs will give us advices. The parking lot is big for many cars. As they are located, its better to go there by our own car because Its rarely to find public transportation around here.
The figures are super well made and look so real. Amazing. Don’t have too high expectations and you will enjoy the experience. Explanations also in English. Entry for Farang 300 THB po wich is crazy would never pay a tenner in Europe but we were happy to support during Covid.
So creepy and not worth the price at all !! Most of them are their efforts in trying to praise the loyals. Some pieces are so out of places and not modern.
Thai wax museum is not far from Bangkok. The museum has huge collections of Thai human and cultural stlye based on wax.
Good, but some pic they not permit u to take a photo u must pay money to them
Worth a visit IMO. The 300thb price tag (for foreignerswill discourage repeat visits for sure, but I think its worth the one off visit to enjoy the art and history.
Very special, fantastic, BUT 300baht for foreigners, make it not worth it, sorry.
If you want to learn more about Thai culture and the history of Thailand this would be a good place to start. The wax statues there looks real with the smallest details, and what you will like too is the part that talks about slavery in Thailand. I just wish they have more figures.
Amazing place. Despite its location, the visit is worthy
Thai culture that we proud and respect monk, King. Then the museum show the important stories in Thailand.Museum bit small, just spend 90 minutes to complete visit.
Beautiful place. Plenty of history. Life like replicas of Monks and former Kings and Queens. Foreigners have to pay 200baht to enter. Well worth a visit.
Quite small and old but the wax figures look very real. There also some shops around the building.
Get some knowleage from now and get it more for future.
Very realistic models. Recommended for those who want to learn about Thai historical figures and history. Not recomended for those who are looking for entertainment.
Extremely well done wax figures, best I have ever seen, incredibly realistic. Not super interesting after you get over that.
This place was a little quiet. Not many people visited. But, its a great quality wax museum. So realistic looking.
The place is very clean. It is also very infromative. Very great for tourists 😊
I really like this place so much. It is very charming from Thai history.
Some really good quality wax figures. Focused mostly on Thai royalty, religious figures and culture.
Too expensive for foreign tourists. 300 bhaat. Thais pay only 80 bhaat. Nothing worth seeing anyway. Disgusting rip off. Discrimination. In Europe everybody pays the same. Shame on you.
It is ok but the place looks quite old.
Meh. Not like Madamme Tousauds. Mainly wax figures of Thai monks and Royal Family. I will say the quality of the wax figures is exceptional. 5 stars for that.
i went there with my family. they were really enjoy this place. some rooms are not allow to take a picture.
For learning something and some history I love my king room (only this room I vote 5 star)
Not more english caption for explainAnd the royals room you can’t take time because staff need to take picture it be business service but wax figure it very look a like human
Its amazing place with the most precious collection
Very interesting for anyone who likes Thai history. Lots of English descriptions for almost every exhibit. Fantastic aesthetics. Theres a market as well. Well worth a visit if youre an expat interested in these kinds of things.
Its a unic place, where the wax figure looks so real, the Chakri Dynasty, different famous Thai Monks/Teachers,but also international persons!Good guided visit & not overpriced, about 9$.
Wax museum, mostly about royal kings and famous Buddhist monks. Some statues look indeed so real... it may a bit scary ^_^Can take pictures except in few rooms. You may not stay too long on this museum unless you are fond of wax museum but it is still worth a stop.
Nice but not much no see as the tour gets over in Max 20-30 mins
Some amazing wax works
Really good wax statues about thai culture and also dont miss the snake and magic show near the museum
It is one of the famous human imagery museum specialized on famous buddhist monks in Thailand. The best thing is the details of the sculture, it is so real!
Very detailed and realistic! One of the best Ive seen. Worth the visit
The wax sculptures look pretty real to the point where its scary. They wouldnt let us take pictures inside. Fun place to visist if you want to learn about Thai Buddhism, famous monks and the royal family.
This is a really cool wax museum. I love wax museums, and this is one of the best ones that Ive ever been to. One of the first exhibits in a very nice hall with royalty figures. You cant take pictures, but they take them for you. Afterwards, you can buy your picture in a frame. Everywhere else you can take pictures, though. So, I thought that was a very cool way for them to make a little extra money. There are a lot of shops around the museum, so its a chill place to hang out for a few hours. They even have mini tours around town that you can take from the museum.
Good for group tourists. Having great well known Thai history people, including Kings, monk, artist, and thai style of living (children playing, lifestyle)
The Thai version of a Madame Tussauds and for sure just as greatly done! A superb place if you wanty to learn more about Thai history and culture the entertaining way!
Its really good place for spend few hours only. Its memorial place of Thailand history. And the statuses looks real. Fine art.
Good to stop by if you are in the way to Ratburi. You can see some thai tradition things with fake human.
This is a very good museum, it has a long history, it shows you the Thai tradition and culture. Its good for learning and for everyone.
