Thai House in Dothan

I have a problem eating in a Thai restaurant with "Farang" American girls as waitresses. They really have no idea about the food.

The inside was very clean and nice. The servers were great. The food was not what I expected and Ive eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants. I got the Pad Woon Sen with pork. The portion was pretty small for the price. The vegetables and pork were cooked well. I think they may have forgotten the sauce as it tasted like a straight pan stir fry in oil with no seasoning. Usually its cooked with a soy and fish sauce based sweet sauce. They did provide a bowl of hot sauce with it which did help, but undermines the sweet that should be with the dish. The glass noodles were also all stuck together in big chopped up clumps.My wife got the appetizer sampler. Turns out everything was fried. This came with fried wonton, crab Rangoon, spicy golden triangles, fried spring rolls and firecracker shrimp. The Golden triangle was not to our liking, it appeared to be canned chicken and lemon juice in a crispy wrapper. The menu says spicy, but that was not the outcome. The rest were decent, but you could very much taste the oil they were cooked in, and it tasted old and a little rancid.We spent almost 50 dollars for those 2 items and a Thai tea. While the menu had a disclaimer about prices changing due to COVID, having the sampler go up from 15 to over 23 dollars, and the Pad Woon Sen go up from 13 dollars to over 18 dollars was quite eye-popping, especially with zero warning. At some point you need to reprint your house menus as it is flat out misleading with that kind of difference.My stomach this morning tells me I should not go back. My wallet agrees.

Great food and great quiet atmosphere! We highly recommend the volcano chicken and the chicken fever. The owners are very nice.

Superb!!! Tom Kha Gai soup followed by Chicken Fever with sticky rice is a must have. If you feel the need to have a real punch of sweet heat try the volcano chicken or shrimp... you will not be disappointed!

The interior is peaceful with a lot of simple Thai touches and the tables are spaced well so you don’t feel clustered. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. This however is nothing compared to the food. There is a little bit of a wait for the dishes to arrive, however everything is simply delicious. With the noodle dishes you can taste the umami of a well seasoned wok, something that is often lacking in most Asian restaurants. Cap your meal off with the warm mango rice. You won’t be disappointed.

Food is really good. Servers were really nice and prompt. Food came quickly once we ordered. We got the calamari appetizer and the Spicy Chicken Volcano as our main dish. The only problem is it was hot! Im not sure if the air conditioner was not working properly or what, but it was almost unbearable.

If you like good food period. My favorite dish is Spicy Drunken Noodles with beef which I have nearly every week. It’s that good! Spicy Chicken Volcano is another great choice. Everyone leaves the place smiling… that smile you have after a great meal. The only time I’ve seen disappointed faces is when people arrive to find the restaurant closed. Great service! Nice atmosphere! Great, great food!

This our favorite Thai restaurant in Dothan! The food is always good. Whatever you get, if you come back and get it again, it tastes exactly the same. You can get different spice levels if you like, or just get it as it comes. Our personal favorites are Golden Triangles, Volcano Chicken, Chicken Panang Curry, and Chicken Pad Thai with Glass Noodles. The lunch experience is slightly different and a little less expensive. I recommend that if youve never been. If you go with friends, try ordering different items and share. Thai tea is our favorite beverage. If we could afford to eat here several times a week, we probably would.

UPDATE:I so appreciate the management responding to my review so I am going to edit my comments.Although I ordered online, I was notified that my order would be delayed because the restaurant was extremely busy. Unfortunately, I was extremely hungry.The food was very good. I have noticed however that the portions with carry out for the entrees are smaller than when you dine in and, while the quantity of protein was more than sufficient, the vegetables were scant.I am sure they are, as are many business establishments, suffering from lack of help and supply chain issues.Thank you Thai House for caring about my review.You will continue to have a loyal patron!

Food is good but tbh, I expected so much better 🤷🏽‍♀️

My wife and I along with our friend Love the Thai house, and we feel it’s one of the best restaurants in Dothan Al. The waiter and waitresses are always very attentive making sure our glasses are never empty and the food is second to none, with great flavor and appearance.We eat there at least once to two a week. Our main stays are chicken satay, pork skewers and crab ragoons for appetizer, for the main meal we enjoy the red curry with chicken, the duck and the spicy fried rice along with chicken fever. I have never had anything that was bad. It is an excellent restaurant

This is my absolute favorite restaurant hands down! The food is delicious! I normally start with crab Rangoons and then order either pad Thai or yellow curry with Thai jasmine rice. Everything is always fantastic! Thai house has the best crab rangoons I’ve ever had! The wait staff is always extremely polite and kind! Snook is normally our waiter and provides us with excellent service each time! One of my favorite things about this place other than the food and service is the traditional asian music that fills the dining area. It so much more refined than other asian restaurants in the area that play modern pop or country music. It’s always a great experience!

Love the food, pretty good vegetarian options as well. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Didnt know the amazing tea flavors had unlimited refills but that alone is enough for me to keep coming back!

WE LOVE THAI HOUSE!! Lol it’s delicious! It’s super fresh and the food is fabulous. It’s always consistent which we appreciate this day and time. You always get amazing service and wonderful food! The atmosphere is really nice as well! 🥰 My MOST favorite thing is the Thai Tea! Y’all I don’t have words! It’s delicious and really compliments the meal quite well! We eat here a couple times a week and we never get tired of it! It’s one of the best restaurants in Dothan! 😋 YUM

Thai House is my favorite place in Dothan!! Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Snook is the best server in town and always makes you feel welcomed. Their Panang Curry is to die for!!

The friendly staff are so very refreshing and a great compliment to the delicious food. I try to order something different each time. And have my all time favorites. Try anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. And you must try the delicious Thai tea.

Food good but service is not good, waiter came out to our vehicle asking for a tip. Got angry because we didnt leave one. Waitress took our order and forgot the chicken pho. The gave the waiter our table. Spoke to manager not once did he apologize for the behavior of his staff. We will not return there

Really great Thai food with bottomless Thai tea and Jasmin green tea. My only complaint was I dont know what I paid per entree since the check was just totaled. Pictures soon

Food taste was disgusting. Thay have no idea what thai food is apparently. Dont believe the menu pricing they say 10% more it was more like 25% more. Wont be back again.

Great noodle only dishes - Pad Thai with Chicken & Drunken Noodles

22 Jan 2022, Unfortunately, very disappointed!!!Ordered a Togo meal and the menu prices are out of date due to COVID-19. So then make new menus! You don’t know what you’re paying until it’s rung up. Anyway, my sons meal ended you costing $20 for lunch. Does this look like it’s worth $20? It doesn’t to me and I don’t think you’d pay $20 for this either.

I will be most willing to return to this Thai restaurant the service was friendly fast and courteous very very nice and worth the tip that I left food was very filling healthy and cooked to perfection and the hot tea just topped it off I will definitely come back and recommend this place to all of my friends

The staff was friendly and attentive. The fold was good. The Pad Ze-Ew was sweeter than I expected but it was still delicious. The steak was flavorful and cooked well.

I dont eat out much because people just dont cook they way I like it but.....omg they blessed my taste buds today and I will be going back very soon. Bone apple teeth!!!🤣

Very nice atmosphere. My waiter was attentive and sweet. Though some other employees were a bit loud and disruptive. I ordered the dumplings which were ok and the yellow curry with chicken which was really nice. It came out in a little heating contraption I have never saw before and I thought it very cute and interactive.

This is my favorite place to eat in Dothan. The Thai Basil Chicken is fantastic, and the Mango with Sticky Rice for dessert is heaven. Definitely a must-go place if youre ever in the area. The staff is friendly & prompt.

The restaurant interior is welcoming and the staff is friendly. I had the garlic chicken which was very good. Only complaint was that they dont provide enough rice for the meal and will charge extra for additional rice. All in all, my group enjoyed our meals and would return.

Serve was very good, friendly staff and very attentive. Food was excellent, had appetizer platter and spicy pad Thai with glass noodles. It was the perfect amount of spice. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Prices were good for the amount of food we received.

Friendly, casual dining. Clean and open dining area with excellent service. Classic Thai menu offerings. Pad Thai w/ glass noodles , seafood combination and spicy thai sauce on the side was delicious. As was the Thai tea. Spicy sauce had plenty of flavor, heat was notable -as it should be. I would rate it about halfway up the Thai heat scale. Maybe. Easily controllable by being offered on the side. I used the full portion and fully enjoyed my meal. Recommend and will visit again when in the Dothan area.

Good ambience, nice staff but slightly delayed service. The sampler appetizer was good but my spicy fried rice was less than par. I’d be willing to give them another chance.Side bar: no military discount.

Very good food! Tried the Drunken Noodle, Thai Basil Chicken, Tom Kha, and Tom Yum, and all were so good. Ambience is nice and service is great. Definitely recommend!

Cute, quiet, Thai restaurant with friendly staff. They have high chairs and chicken tenders and macaroni options for toddlers- no kid silverware or cups. But a nice place.

The service and food was excellent, we ordered 6 different dishes and all of them were very good. The food was well seasoned and fresh, prices were exceptional. I would recommend eating here for good quality Thai food.

The Spicy Chicken Volcano is delicious! Crab Rangoon was a solid appetizer and the Thai Iced Tea was great way to wash it all down! The restaurant itself was very chilled and relaxed. Great food and a great atmosphere. The staff was very nice and friendly! Keep up the good work!

After a long drive, I spotted this restaurant and was delighted to see it was well-reviewed. It didn’t disappoint. I ordered the spicy tofu salad on my server’s recommendation. The tofu was light and the perfect balance between crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I REALLY wanted to like this restaurant. It came highly recommended so we gave it a try. The interior is nicely decorated a d the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I ordered an iced tea and while it was good, it was very sweet. It was not what I was expecting. The starter, spring rolls, didnt taste like anything. The sauce was good but thats the only thing that provided any flavor. My noodle dish also lacked flavor. It also tasted burnt. I ordered a medium spice and there was no heat at all. We wont be back but we were so hoping to love our meal here.

Good parking, Handicapped accessible, kids menu. We eat here about once a month. It is always clean, and well maintained. Clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all of the food. They take time out to answer all questions and make you feel welcome. You can call ahead and do a take out order. They also do delivery through takeoutstar so you can have it delivered. I have tried lots of dishes here and never been disappointed. There is something for everyone and most items can be made specifically to your liking. So even the pickiest of eaters can find something here. Highly recommend this spot to eat dinner or lunch.

Superb Thai food! We go there at least once a month and always get the shrimp pad Thai and the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer. If you like it spicy they have a spicy scale of 1-4 with 4 being pretty nice heat. Staff is always very nice and you rarely have to wait to be seated. Highly recommend!

My husband and I recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary here. The food was great as usual, but the service really outdid itself. Our server was warm, polite and efficient. We made no mention of what occasion we were celebrating, and still were given an extra jasmine sweet tea to go, and complimentary chocolate at the desk as we paid! It really made our night!I also noted the quiet instrumental music and calm atmosphere. A perfect little night out.

A surprisingly pleasant dining experience in a strip mall! The atmosphere is quiet and upscale casual with black table clothes and cloth napkins. The service has been attentive without being intrusive. The food is excellent. Lunch is a great time to try the restaurant--appetizer, soup and entree for about $10. One of our favorites!
