Thai Garden - Thai restaurant in Bristol, United Kingdom
Extremely sad I spent 6 years in Thailand although Thai food was OK it was a little bit lacking probably because I had a takeaway Maybe if I eat in it would have been better
No reservation but they found us a table in a Saturday night. Very friendly as always
Food is amazing , you always feel welcome .Thank you so much.❤️
Such a lovely gem in the Bedminster area with BYOB option. Great value, delicious mains, lovely staff and all-round brill.
Best Thai in Bristol - I’m obsessed with their Pad Thai and tofu with chili and sweet basil.
A really good, friendly restaurant.
Authentic cuisine, very friendly staff, great food and good prices.
I had the prawn pad thai and satay chicken. 10/10. Fresh and piping hot!
Very nice authentic place with good prices and very good food!!
Had a delightful meal here with the family. The staff were very efficient and the food and service was very good.
Food was ok not particularly authentic unfortunately. Price on menus seems reasonable but when you add the complementary prawn crackers 👀 (£2,50and the tip that’s included on the bill it soon adds up.All in all I would say average food and average prices probably better off paying more money for a better experience. Will try again though
Super fast takeaway and delicious authentic pad thai for under £10! Recommended.
My top five Bristol eatery. Comfortable, no- rush, lovely food. Caring staff.
Really nice experience! Very tasty food, quick and gentle service and very affordable prices. We ordered: prawn crackers (no sauce, a bit disappointed with that), Pad thai with prawns, Tom Yum soup with vegetables, and Massaman beef curry dish with some rice.Everything was delicious and the portions were more than ok, I really enjoyed the Pad Thai! We paid just £20!
We ordered a takeaway and the food was ready in about 15 minutes. For mains we ordered sweet and sour pork and chicken with ginger and mushrooms, both with noodles. The noodles were really tasty but the mains what kind of lacking particularly watery and not as punchy as I think we would like. Im not a massive fan of pork usually because a quality is quite poor but I thought that the cuts of pork were very good and we have lots of big chunks of vegetables which were tasty. The crab spring rolls were massively disappointing so I really wouldnt bother with getting them.We have quite high hopes for the place given that the reviews are around 4.5 but considering what we paid which was about £30 in all we werent left feeling massively satisfied or really impressed. The service was very prompt and the staff were lovely, but the quality of the takeaway only really warrants about 3 stars.
I had chicken Tom Ka soup followed by salmon chili and sweet basil and broccoli in oyster sauce and dessert of mango on sticky rice, yummy. Bring your own cash only.
Awesome food and lovely people, but only cash payments
Lovely staff, OK dishes - unfortunately what we ordered was a bit bland.
Hidden gem. The food was tasty and full of flavour and was a decent price too. Service was great, will definitely visit again.
Beautiful interior, food is delicious and an amazing price for such authentic food. Service is excellent, will return thank you
Bristols hidden gem. Brilliant starters and mains. The staff are super friendly. A must visit
Ive been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Always excellent food, amazing service, very friendly staff, and theyre able to make most menu options vegan at request too.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, attentive staff! Well definitely be back, and on a regular basis. Khob Khun Ka!
Wonderful staff and wonderful food ,I would highly recommend this restaurant and takeway ,it is a particular favourite of ours.
Really nice little Thai restaurant and takeaway. Chicken satay was very good with chargrilled chicken and a tasty satay sauce. Tom yum soup was an absolute winner, thoroughly recommended. Mains were good - drunken noodles were tasty, been with yellow noodles was simple but tasty if a little greasy. Will definitely revisit.
Absolutely incredible food and amazing hosts! It feels like you are in a real Thai house having some local mum-cooked food. BYO and exceptional taste with great menu choices
BYOB Authentic Thai food that has me travelling across Bristol for. Absolutely stunning curries - plus all the rest! Does get popular with locals at the weekend so recommend going in the week really. Small little golden cutlery and green foliage make this lovely little understated thai place probably my fave restaurant in Bristol.
Service and price was fine. Main course was average - about what youd expect for the price but the squid for starter was rubbery, overcooked and old. Disappointing.
Excellent food and great service. Lovely atmosphere and very authentic. Cash only, but not an issue as there is a cash machine just opposite. Highly recommend! Thank you to all the staff.
Our favourite local kitchen (just 1min away from home). Super delicious authentic food served by the most lovely people. The little gem on west street!
After living in bedmisntet he majority of my life, a friend introduced me to this place. This little thai restaurant serves delicious, tasty food at a great price and portion sizes that dont over fill you but you feel satisfied after eating. The staff are polite and friendly and will explain anything that you need
I have just picked up an order and it is amazing, everything is perfect. I would highly recommend the Tom Yum Soup and Crab Spring Rolls. The staff are also so friendly!
It was quite expensive for vegans to pay almost 30 pounds for the vegetarian options when the meal was made mostly of white onions, Lidl mushroom and peppers. Nice seasoning. We got an expensive bill to have to get home and cook again. Never again thanks
Great evening with friends at the Thai Garden . Fabulous flavours . I had duck and it was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of spice. All six of us loved the food. Service was polite and friendly and most importantly great value. Will definitely return .
Went there for runner a few days ago, was going for takeaway but decided to stay. Typical Thai restaurant decor. Meal not good at all, having Thai fairly regularly this is probably the worst I’ve had. The food was very bland and almost tasted of Chinese, major lack of flavour, and tasted like to herbs or spice used at all. Had chicken cashew nuts and just tasted like it was cooked in oil with nothing else, even a big spring of coriander would have added some flavour. Wouldn’t go back again.
First time I have been here. Went for a early birthday meal with my Dad and his girlfriend. I have never had Thai food before. I really enjoyed it. The waitresses are all dressed in traditional Thai clothes. It felt like you were actually IN Thailand itself. Definitely recommend it.
Very dissapointed. Food is very basic, soggy noodles, tender chicken and cold. The pieces of meat are enormous!!!Restaurant has a 4* food hygiene rating and I am not surprised at all. Upon entering the restaurant could straight away feel an unpleasant smell because the toilet door was wide open while 3 waitresses where just hanging around doing nothing.
Excellent food nicely cooked. Polite friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Great for take away as well as eat in.
Charming service, genuine Thai cuisine and tasty too. Modest portions, reasonably priced. Good value in an intimate atmosphere. A really pleasant evening.
Not my favourite Thai in Bristol but decent enough...Reasonably priced, but quite small portions. The sticky rice with Thai custard (puddingwas my favourite dish
Food was good and very reasonable prices. Byo on drinks with a small corkage fee. Staff were friendly , Whats not to like :)
Affordable and tasty food in a welcoming environment. Waiting staff were friendly. The crispy duck was a generous and delicious starter. Its bring your own too for a small corkage fee per person which is always a bonus.
Great value, tasty. Portions are ideal for those who dont over-indulge. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices, one time when I went they gave some recommendation that I will like it. When the dish was served it was simply awesome. Only thing I dont like it they dont accept cards which makes it little difficult if you dont have any cash. But other than that simply amazing.
Go here all the time...delicious food, good value and friendly staff. Good for takeaway too. Great to have so nearby!
Absolutely fantastic. Cant fault it. Great service, friendly staff, tasty food and excellent value. Beef and broccoli is to die for!
Used to be great, food bursting with flavour and quick service but recently the quality and serving quantities have gone down. Last two meals have felt that for the price you just arent getting value for money. 2 prawns in a pad thai, 4 slices of duck in a curry with both more pineapple and peppers than meat
Sorry but dont know what all the rave reviews are about. Thai fish cakes were something like rubbery tofu - couldnt taste the fish. The hot chilli chicken and basil came with barely any sauce. Had to nick sauce from my partners curry to wet the sticky rice that was so sticky it resembled the plastic bag it was served in. My dish was basically chicken with huge chunks of hard peppers and onion.
This food is the best. I was so disappointed when it moved to the other side of Bristol, but well worth the journey. I recommend their Pad Thai, their drunken noodles with duck and their sticky rice.
Went here as part of a group of 12 on a Friday night. A really buzzy atmosphere. Some of the group were regulars and asked that we be served 12 surprises, every dish was different and looked delicious. Not sure what I got but I ate and enjoyed all of it. A brilliant night out which wouldnt be possible if Thai Garden were anything less than superb.
