Familiar curries, noodles & rice dishes round out the menu at this cheerful, laid-back Thai eatery.
Romantic setting, wonderful service plus Gluten Free options. If you love the food here youre potentially missing out of half the experience by not dining in. I usually ordered my food for pick-up and fell in love with the tranquil vibe inside while I waited. I told my boyfriend I wanted to go on a date there one day. This place didnt disappoint. All the curry options are gluten free and outside of the fried food options others can use a gluten free substitutes for sauces. The service of the waiter was perfect. They were the perfect balance of tentative without interrupting the moment.Their Cabinet Savion was great for those new to red wine and the candle lit table complemented the wonderfully prepared duck dishes we ordered. This was all 5s for me. Such a romantic way to spend my saturday! Well definitely be back.
My mom has been coming here for years and she always orders her food gluten free because she has an allergy. Unfortunately they made a mistake and instead of correcting the order they refused to take accountability or offer any sort of solution. The quality of their food has drastically diminished and is no longer worth the price. They made my drunken noodles and forgot the sauce once and didn’t offer to correct the dish then either.
The service was excellent without being annoying. The ambiance was quiet and intimate even with our group of five people. The food was only okay. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt anything stellar.
Delicious! The Tom yum soup was tremendous and the drunken noodles were fantastic. Definitely coming back again and recommending them to others.
The wife and kids and I were passing through Kennewick at dinner time on a road trip and craving Thai food. We called another restaurant in town we had reviewed the menu for and found to be reasonable, but they wouldnt answer their phone. So, we called in a pickup order at Thai Elephant, blindly thinking itd be about the same. We arrived and picked up our order to find that 4 to-go meals (2 of them being for childrenwas OVER $80 DOLLARS!!! $80 DOLLARS! I lost my mind. I voiced my concern to the owner there at the counter and he was rude and dismissive, even indignant, citing his own rising costs. I get it, things are a little more than they were this time last year, of course. Everyone is feeling a pinch. BUT $80 DOLLARS!? NO! The exact same meal (quality and portion exactly equalat the Thai restaurant we frequent in our neighborhood is between $48 and $50. The owner should be ashamed of himself for insulting his customers with these prices. All being said, the food was fine. BUT $80 DOLLARS worth for 2 adults and 2 portions for children? Nope! Skip it. Not worth the money.
Curry is the bomb! We have been going here for years . Staff is always on their game and very friendly. 5 Estrella esta picoso pero bien rico !
Food is good but they always act like they don’t understand English!! Never going there again!!
Loved everything about my experience. The food was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is so pleasant, and the service was prompt, friendly, and quite capable.
So Ive struggled with some Thai food I ordered on Grub Hub since moving here. Not sure if things got weird in transit, but thats doubtful. So I decided not to get my hopes up.The ambience is really lovely here. The server we had was a sweetheart. I ordered drunken noodles with tofu and green tea.DELICIOUS! Im happy to have a delicious Thai restaurant to go to. Hooray!
Ordered take-outs... No lunch menu. High price point. Average taste. MSG! We both had dry mouth and drank a lot of water all afternoon.
My wife and I love Thai elephant! Awesome curry and amazing pineapple fried rice!
Good peanut sauce. Server asked every patron except us what spice level they wanted. When my dish was delivered, I asked for a spice rack. Was given a bottle of some sort of chili sauce. Very disappointed. Nothing here but the peanut sauce was worth mentioning. Not returning. Where is the good Thai in this area?!?!
Great food. Great Service. Great people. One of my favorite places to eat in the Tri-cities.
Great place for dinner, white table cloth, nice atmosphere. Yummy food, enough for leftovers. Family friendly. This business also does great take out.
Simply put....DELICIOUS!!! AMAZING!!! Were visiting from Utah and can tell you that we have not had Thai as good as Thai Elephant! We got the Tom Kha soup, #39- panang curry, pad Thai, and orange chicken with a little spice! All were great, plus Its a father-son ran business! Definitely go, you wont regret it!
Such good food! Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes!!
I had the jungle noodles with shrimp and they were amazing! My sister had chicken satay and a side of rice and loved it!
My kids love the elephant mascot that is there most days. I don’t know what they feed him but he is super gentle and the elephant rides are only $5.
The food is good. The wait is okay. Not very spicy even though I asked for the most spicy.
The food here is so good, it brought back memories from when I lived in LA. Definitely going back and sampling different menu items.
This is a very amazing restaurant! the food is spectacular and they have a wide variety of options to choose from!
On my order I ordered green chicken curry and did not receive any rice or salad with my order. I called to ask what comes with the dinner and they specified a salad and rice. Then looked at my order and said that no salad comes with the order and did not offer to give me my rice.
The best Thai food in Tri cities!! Phad Thai has a lot of flavor compared to other places. Orange chicken is fried perfectly and super delicious sauce to go with it. The portions are very generous and prices are reasonable. We live in Benton city and it’s worth the drive!
This is my favorite flavorful Thai restaurant and youll find almost nothing left on the plate. Thats the proof of how delicious it is. If you are looking for a restaurant with good taste, you must come here.
Got takeout from there last night. Two pad Thai and chicken fried rice. The flavor of the pad Thai tasted like something had spoiled. It was sour, not “tangy”. The real issue was with the fried rice. It both smelled and tasted like fish. Felt nauseated last night and today after a few bites. Ended up barely touching the food, I was grossed out. Then took the food back to them today and told them about the food. Rather than wanting to fix the issue, they wanted to argue with me about the rice tasting like fish. Don’t know if they are storing the rice next to fish or what. After a bit of them trying to argue and me explaining that the food tasted like fish, they offered to remake it. I explained to them the last thing I want is to eat more food that made me feel sick. I paid $55 for the food and tipped $15. $70 for food that was not edible. Not sure if it was an off day or what, went there because of all the good reviews. I will stick to Soi 705.
This restaurant was absolutely amazing. A fun little restaurant with a great atmosphere and amazing food. There was lots of items on the menu to choose from. The serving sizes are quite large per meal. The food was cooked extremely well. Customer service was very kind. The store its self was very clean and was enjoyable to be in. Would highly recommend stopping in.
I had heard good things, so I tried this place out. I was impressed! I have Celiac, so I have a lot of difficulty explaining what that entrails of a restaurant doesnt already know how intense it is.The waiter was very knowledgeable about which dishes were naturally gluten free and which could be adapted with their gf soy sauce. He was super up front about which dishes suffered from the substitution, which was nice.I got the Pad Thai and Panang Curry. Both were excellent. The Thai ice tea is huge, and the cucumber salad was generous enough to share. I will definitely go back.
Its hands down the best thai food Ive eaten in Tri-Cities, just as good or better than most thai restaurants in Portland Ive tried. The food is fresh, not over salted yet it really hits the spot.
I had an appointment in the tri cities and so I stopped for lunch before heading home. I ordered the Larb salad with pork and a side of sticky rice. It was delicious and not too spicy.. ordered shrimp fresh rolls with peanut sauce to take home and eat later! Staff was polite and helpful 🙂
The best Thai restaurant! 🙌 this one is out go to🙌🙌🙌 we always make the drive and never leave disappointed. My favorite is the drunken noodles and thai tea is delicious. The green curry is amazing 👏 10/10 recommend.
Always great service, clean, food amazing and on time. We love this place.
Ive been coming here for 10+ years and its my go to when eating out. Its the freshest Thai food Ive had, a lot of flavor and always consistently delicious. The owner is so kind and always remembers our family. Dont miss out!
Visited the restaurant in Jan 2022. The place has a nice ambiance and food was good. Ordered red curry, the portion size was sufficient for a person. The staff was professional and happy to help. Try it out if you are around.
Absolutely loved the squid pad Thai and my friends thoroughly enjoyed their pumpkin and roast duck curry! The spice level 3 was not terrible but enough to let you know its there. Cant wait to eat here again!
We met friends for lunch and enjoyed the experience immensely. We highly recommend Elephant Thai. The restaurant is in a strip but tastefully appointed with customary white cotton tablecloths and real silverware. It is clean and located with easy access. The service is Thai service which is always impeccable and pleasant. Menu has everything you want from authentic fresh salad rolls included shrimp with peanut dipping sauce to crispy spring fried rolls accompanied with sweet chili dipping sauce. They make an excellent Thai tea here. I ordered yellow chicken curry that was so delicious and perfectly seasoned. My wife ordered the spicy and sour soup with rice noodles and chicken (Tom Yum Noodle soup). Our friends had Penang Curry dish with vegetables which looked amazing! Give your tastebuds a treat and go Elephant Thai.
Pineapple curry was very good and service quick and friendly.
This is one restaurant that we discovered on our road trip. The restaurant boasts authentic décor from Thailand. It added a nice ambience to the dining area. We went there for lunch and ordered the Evil Jungle Noodle with Peanut Sauce and Pad See Ew. Pad See Ew had a choice of spice but Evil Jungle Noodles are actually pretty mild because they are flooded with Peanut sauce, which is inherently sweet tasting. Both the dishes tasted very good. I have never had a noodle dish dipped in peanut sauce but it was a pleasant surprise. The Pad See Ew was full of vegetables, just the way we like it. The dishes were a good size and we had leftovers enough for another meal. It’s a little far off for a regular visit, but if we are in the area again, we will definitely stop by to another item from their delicious menu.
Delicious food and excellent service! They accommodated our party of 8 on separate tabs in no time, got all the orders correct, and served everything quickly. We really enjoyed the curries and noodle dishes, and their Thai iced teas are especially amazing. Will return next time in town!
Really enjoy going to the Thai Elephant. My favorite dish is one that I have not found at any other Thai restaurant. Its called Pla Rhad Prik. Its a whole grilled Pompano fish with an amazing sauce and all kinds of veggies. Very tasty..... recommended!
I love their food here! Fresh and full of flavor. The owners are caring and nice. I never leave disappointed. You have try the thai iced coffee!
See the picture? I dug out nearly all meat. THAT is all we got! ALL 5 dishes we ordered were the same. Hopefully you didnt work out before eating, needing some protein! Boooooooooo. This review is for THIS visit. Never reviewed them before. We have eaten takeout from here at least 50+ times in the last 5 years. We order from them probably once a month. The reason for the 2 stars? This place is WILDLY inconsistent. The Pros? The flavors and spice are ALWAYS delicious and on-point. Owner is always nice, friendly. For people who are not big on curry or spices, the yakisoba is delicious and a winner. And the curries are mouth-watering. Especially the red curry with 2 or 3 star spice... it has some kick! The Cons? One week you go there and your takeout box is absolutely filled and plentiful, with yakisoba to the brim. The next week or month, you get home and go, "WTH??" Because youre getting half the amount you did last trip.EVERY dish is the same way. Yakisoba is always a coin-toss... we have gotten it loaded with cabbage and veggies, then next time ordered it was almost just noodles.Example... Last time we ordered a few weeks ago? Perfection. Then on the flip side, yesterday my wife picked up, and when she got home I loaded up my plate. The curry we ordered yesterday was delicious in terms of sauce and seasoning. However, I was astonished at how small an amount of steak was in one dish and chicken in the other! I felt completely ripped off. They served it like there was a national meat shortage. They charge WAY too much for this type of inconsistency. If they could just get consistency issues worked out, they would be 1 of the best places in the Tricities. As for us?We are going to start trying new Thai places for the 1st time. We just cant justify this as our go-to Thai place any more, when we dont know if were getting "Good That Elephant" or "Bad Thai Elephant".
Just passing through Kennewick and needed some Thai food. Thai Elephant was open on Sunday so we stopped. Great customer service. Very friendly. Answered several questions about the menu. No dining in right now so we waited for our food in the restaurant where they set up a nice space. Everyone was wearing masks and were extra careful about sanitation. Most importantly, the chicken pad thai was great!
Atmosphere and decor was really cool. Service was good. Food was fast and delicious. I really liked the red curry chicken. The taste and quality is right on the money and the staff is lovely. One of my favorite places to eat! Authentic and more than enough food to share.
Delicious pork larb, spicy thai sauce hit the spot. But for my taste it needs to be more spicy will be back this weekend again. & in the future as well. Love my new restaurant to go to....
Very good food. They said the curry was spicy, it was spicy and delicious and I usually dont like spicy food. If you are ever feeling like you could murder a curry, this is your place. Ingredients were fresh and plentiful. Restaurant is much nicer than the outside would suggest. We will return.
Went and had some food here while on a road trip and this is a great local restaurant. The setting is pleasant and the food is awesome. We ordered a variety of dishes and they are came well prepared and very tasty. The location was a bit hard to find, but thats what GPS is for.The staff were very nice and we just enjoyed a nice family outing and my children can be picky eaters however they made their food very child friendly and so thats an extra plus in my book as a parent.
Delicious authentic flavors, the appetizers were all delicately fried, and their sauces were all wonderful compliments. The Pad Thai is the real deal. Lunch was served quickly, and the prices are good.
Very romantic atmosphere! Love this place! They have gluten free noodles made of rice. Service was great and very clean! Wish they had gluten free soysauce for customers at the table.
I cant believe that I have driven past this gem and never stopped before now. The food was spot on! The perfect balance of heat and flavor. Vegetables were crisp and flavorful, you could tell that the ingredients were very fresh. This place is on par with big city Thai restaurants & I will definitely be back.
Delicious food. My wife loves Thai and was dying to try it. We are thrilled that Thai Elephant is around, its our new go to place. My wife had the panang curry and I had the roasted duck curry. Both were AMAZING!
