Thai D'or Restaurant in Abbotsford

Thai red curry! This is the best dish Ive ever had and its absolutely mouth watering. Get it with cocunot rice! Ive been going here for years and the place is always well kept and clean. The food is out of this world. Prices are on the cheap side ($10-$15and they have good music playing in the background. They also infuse their water time to time which is a nice plus. I cant recommend this enough to anyone who loves or has never tried Thai food!

This place used to be good. Like really good! But I just can’t deal with the random hours. It’s difficultTo support a place that just opens when they feel like it. Screw the google listing and screw the times on the door. Frustrating and disappointing to say the least.

The ambiance in the restaurant is nice. The server greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. The menu prices are average, but the food was tasty and the serving size was plentiful.

Surprisingly not that busy for such great Thai food. Service was good and it was hard to stop eating the yellow curry. Extremely good, 10/10.

Food here was wonderful. Had their chicken skewers, yellow curry, pad thai and soup with a side of noodles. So good! Finished it all off with fried bananas and coconut ice cream for dessert, Im in food coma heaven lol.

I have tried to go to Thai Dor a few times and they are always closed although their hours say different. I brought a friend here to try to the food and the open sign was on when I pulled in but when we got to the door, the doors were locked and the open sign was off. It’s too bad because they have amazing authentic Thai food. I hope they can figure out their hours.

We have attempted to have lunch there 2 times now. They say they open at 11:30 but when we got there, they were closed both times with no sign on the door. We won’t try again.

We were visiting from California and making our way to Alberta and we chose this restaurant at random during a quick pit stop. We were delighted with the quality of the food, the portions and the service. Food was very tasty and well presented, we felt we were at home... we are a Southeast Asian family.The service was slow since they had only two waitresses attending the clientele, place was filling up for a Thursday afternoon,

Not bad, not great. Altho no problems with getting a table for no one is rarely here. I am Thai is by far better altho again its busy most times. And authentic thai

Nice enough people, but we had a pretty brutal food experience. No zest or authentic Thai in any dish, tasteless and tough stir fried meat in what tasted like sweet store bought oyster sauce and 15 dollars for a tin tray of broccoli. Only one family eating there at prime time Saturday dinner hour. Some effort needed on your menu, and your warmth.

We use to love eating at Thai Dor.....we have now gone there several times during business hours only to be turned away because the restaurant wasnt busy so they decided to close early. We have removed this restaurant from our list.

A nice place with really good service. The food was very tasty and good sized portions. The decor was very nice.The only issue I had was that the coconut rice was not made in the traditional manner, but was more just coconut milk poured over rice.Overall, very good

Excellent service. Food is fresh and very yummy. Prices are reasonable. Though its not on the menu, we were able to get our meals with tofu instead of meat which I really appreciated! Best Thai Ive had!Edit: while I absolutely love their food the fact they dont answer their phone or are even open during their posted hours has reduced my star rating from 5 to 2. I tried to bring a large party here several times and the doors were locked even though they were supposed to be open. Ive phoned and sent emails but received zero reply. Terrible customer service.

Really good Thai food. Staff was pleasant and prices are very reasonable. Would definitely go again and recommend if you like Thai.

June 25, 2019: placed an order via skip the dishes at 6:23 pm. Received confirmation code. 20 mintutes later wanted to confirm spiciness with restaurant I got their voice mail. Went on website now says delivery unavailable. Left 4 messages. Website says they are open. Obviously they are not. Please update your website and voicemail if you are closed. Now have to wait another hour for delivery from another restaurant I will never use skip the dishes again!

Tried to eat here 2-3 times and they can’t figure out their own hours of operations. Website and store hours are pretty clear, but management obviously like to operate on their own schedule. Which is fine, but then make the place b reservation only.Heard the food is good, but simple communication ability is not. If you’re going to go, make sure you call ahead of time.

This place was great. We had a variety of dishes and everyone really enjoyed each one. Standout Cashew Chicken. The restaurant server was very polite and helpful. We will definitely return here.

This restaurant is top quality service, quality and flavour in authentic Thai food. Open at 4:30pm.

I called the restaurant as I was craving some wicked Thai food and they had the highest rating in town. My first time ordering and the server was very helpful. After I indulged in the BEST Thai. I highly recommend big thumbs up 👍 one foodie to another! 😄

Delicious! Fairly affordable considering how much food they give you. I thought I might die how delicious the food was when it first went in my mouth. Almost a reason to visit Abbotsford! Will be making a point to come back when in the area.

Sitting in the parking lot, just ordered take out. The employee I was dealing with went above and beyond to make me feel like I was a regular. Great service. (This is my first time here they already deserve 5 stars, and I haven’t even had the food. From the other reviews I’m sure it’s amazing!

I was surprised at how good this place was! Ive always been loyal to a different Thai place in town but I think Ive been convinced otherwise. Nice flavorful curry, pad Thai was great, I should probably mention that Ive only ordered vegetarian dishes so far but that said, they did the tofu really nicely too. Inside the restaurant has almost kind of a lounge feel, it would be fine to bring kids for dinner but it also looks like a good atmosphere for a grown-up night out. Glad I tried this place, will definitely order here again.

Great authentic Thai food! Awesome friendly staff! Always a great place to go enjoy. Red curry, green curry, pineapple fried rice, soups, salads, beef and chicken dishes are all excellent!!!

We this place and probably come at least once a week for dinner, if not more. It is by far my favorite restaurant in Abbotsford, and the main waiter is one of my favorite waiters. If I could give six stars, I would. The red curry and the shrimp pad Thai are our favorites. Make sure you check the hours before you drive out though. Sometimes they are closed at odd times. Highly, highly recommended.

The food was very delicious and tasted very fresh. I wanted to give this a 5 start however the service could have been more prompt and attentive to the patron.

Its hard to give a five star review when you order green curry and get orange, but it was still tasty. Maybe next time ...

First time dining today. Lunch specials are great value. Did the Gaeng Daeng red curry with chicken and added extra spring rolls, which are obviously made in house - so good! - and my dining partner had Pad King. Fast service, especially for Thai. Asked about the Som Tam salad and Tom Ka soup for next time. Server was VERY helpful and insightful.

Amazing thai food, my wife and I go here all the time. Lots of space and great ambiance. Food is next level with a real thai chef.

Service stared off slow but while ordering, the waiter was informative.Ordered the wontons, could use more filling but otherwise, not terrible.The yellow curry with coconut is out of this world! And the coconut rice is good too. Pad Thai is nothing special but the sweet n sour veg is worth a mention.Modern design and cozy atmosphere.Would recommend to others.

Good food at good prices, large portions and polite service. It serves good food but the location lacks charm, and the menu could be more streamlined for the sake of more inexperienced or casual diners

The food was great. The decor is simple and clean, but the service was terrible. We had to chase down our server so that everyone at the table could have cutlery and water(why supply only two of three people at a table?). Our meals took over a half hour, and again we had to chase down our server for more water, napkins and the tea that kept getting forgotten. We waited forever for our bill, which we had to request from a different server and then waited even more to be able to pay. The food was delicious though. I suggest take out unless you have an hour and a half for dinner.

Something has happened recently with Thai Dor restaurant and it is really a shame. It used to be very good food and service. The server staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu, and the food arrived quickly and was deliciously hot and fragrant. There used to be jugs of water infused with fresh mint and cucumber slices which was a really nice addition to the meal. Given the history we had experienced in the past at Thai Dor made us feel secure enough to take the family there on Fathers Day. We got there at 5 pm to beat the rush, as we knew they had just opened for the day. There were only two guys waiting tables, quite obviously out of their element. It was really cold inside the building. We sat down and got plain water at the table and menus. We ordered two appetizers, one was spring rolls and the other was the deep fried wontons. We were told they were out of spinach for the swimming rama. This was half an hour after opening! The appetizers came, the wontons had obviously been re deep-fried and the inside of the spring rolls was icy. Really, still slightly frozen. Sent them back, and waited 15 minutes for fresh ones. Unbelievably, the new order was ice cold inside as well. At this point we knew the dinner would be a disaster and chose to leave and go elsewhere. We will not be returning, and again I must say how sad it is to see another good Abbotsford restaurant that has fallen apart.

Delicious! My favorite is the red curry with bamboo shoots. The rice portions are quite large so I would recommend getting a small and ordering more if needed.

Save your money and time. Expensive for food that was not good.There was no service except for when they first sit you down, didnt get our drinks filled until our food came 45 minutes later.The (HeinzPad Thai with chicken added to it.... where do I start. There was 5 pieces of very small chicken pieces. Pad Thai tasted more like watered down ketchup. Every bite had a very fishy flavour from the canned shrimp.My boyfriends meal was the same, fishy and spicier than he ordered.

Great food here. As others said, parking and turning into the parking lot can be an issue, but the great food is worth it.

Love the food but THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE!!! Have to call 3-5 times for them to even pick up, even when theyre not busy/theres barely anyone in the restaurant. It really is a turn-off, but to be fair their food is very good.

I am a frequent customer at Thai Dor, it is my favourite lunch spot. I have taken several co-workers there for lunch and everyone has always loved it. I highly recommend it.

Our first time in your restaurant. We really loved the ambiance and the flavoured water. Our waiter was attentive and the food portions were good. Even though we arrived near closing time, we were welcomed inside, never felt rushed to leave and still were served extremely freshly made food. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back.

My husband and I love going to Thai Dor. The food is always fantastic, and the servicce has always been great. I would like it if they offered deliver service as well as take out, but I guess we can;t have it all.

Had the ghiaw grob (deep fried chicken wontonappetizer and kaow pad suparo (fried riceand pad priew waan (sweet and sour chicken). It was pretty good. The sweet and sour was thai-style so there was no breading on the chicken and it wasnt overly sweet. The fried rice had a disappointingly small amount of pineapple (which also looked canned).When we got there on a Sunday night, the restaurant was empty and people trickled in during our meal. Our server was helpful, cheerful, and fast.Great stop on our way back to Vancouver!
