Our first visit here and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We were the only ones in which meant we had personal service from the lovely lady in there. Massaman curry and pad Thai were very good and all freshly cooked. The coconut pancakes were really good for dessert!

Picked up a take away last night. Vegetable spring rolls were very good and tasted home made. Prawns in my Prawn Pad Thai were huge and very tasty. Very generous portions. Looking forward to trying again.

My boyfriend and I ate there last night and absolutely loved it! Service was brilliant and friendly. The food was unbelievable, the red curry with coconut rice was without a doubt our favourite! Nice feel to the place. We will definitely be back to try the Tom Yum.

Food was very nice, although one dish was quite salty, only downfall was the service which was quite slow, due to takeaways collecting, only two serving the restaurant while doing the takeaways as well. Otherwise good.

Mate some of the best thai food Ive had in a long time, duck tamarind was the peng da la peng! 10/10 would go back.

We ordered takeaway from here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The mixed starters were delicious. However, the mains (Massaman curry and sea basswere lacking in flavour, despite having a one chilli rating there was no spice or spices and was very bland and disappointing. The "jasmine rice" was just plain rice - nothing special! I really wish wed had a better experience - maybe we should try something really spicy next time and it would be a bit better?

Excellent quality food with friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. I would particularly recommend the tamarind duck and the black pepper lamb. We will be back soon.

The restaurant is normally popular, but a recent visit for a take away was very disappointing. Expensive and mediocre.

My husband and I went to this place on new years eve 2018 for dinner.All our food tasted delicious and fresh compared to the Thai cafes around Essex.The staff are friendly and happy during service and this feels welcoming!I come from a hospitality background and its important for a waiter/waitress to ask how food is before the client finishes it such that if they dont like it something else can be made.My husband has been here before and likes Thai food he says this is the best place around! We drove from Chelmsford. We had yellow curry, chicken satay, spring rolls and coconut ice cream and its presented in a coconut shell.For Thai food I highly recommend this place.

The food was just barely okay, the satay served cold. We had to request for it to be warmed up. The curry was lacklustre. Its definitely more of a take away place than a proper restaurant. I wouldnt return

I went the the Thai Cottage for a takeaway. I waited 40 minutes for my food and when I asked how much longer I got a shrug of the shoulders and told 10-15 minutes. When I said I would just leave and go somewhere else, this was not challenged which made me think they had not even started my food.The gentleman before me had waited over an hour. This is at 6.50pm in a Tuesday - I dread to think what it would be like during a busy period.

Gone downhill. Food bland, mild and poor quality for money. Owner was rude when I complained and offered 4 chocolates as a gesture of good will.
