Thai Bay Cafe in Riverside

I usually go to montclair to get my favorite Thai food but i recently moved down the street from this place and, After looking up reviews, and what menu options were available on the web, i decided to take a chance. I got a way better quality than what i expected in almost every way! The employees are so friendly and honestly go out of their way to make sure you know your business is appreciated. The Restaurant has this cozy intimate charm. I recommend The Cashew chicken nut medium spicy, its my go to!I Medium spicy everything for the best flavor!-T-mobile guyThanks peter!

We had a mishap happen with our Postmates order &Peter was super accommodating. We placed another order, we got several plates & everything was super yummy. Will definitely continue to come here!

Neighbor recommended this place so I tried. Authentic Thai cuisine at reasonable prices. Next time somebody asks, Ill suggest this place too.

This is a great little place. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the food is great. We always get the same dish, the yellow chicken curry which is very good. Keep up the great work

Discovered this place by accident. Was a Jumbo Bowl customer until they closed. We tried Thai Bay today for the first time got the chicken fried rice and the spicy shrimp and chicken fried rice. Everything was fresh and tasty. The owner immediately corrected and oversight on the owner. I give them an A for food and service. Will def be back!

I got five dishes for pickup. Padthai, Chicken basil stir fry, beef larb, fried won tongs, and fried crab cheesecake wonton. Mostly everything was fire! Especially the Beef larb and cheescake wonton. But, the other fried won tongs were barely filled with this weird meat... Unless they wouldve got 5 stars.

This is a little home in the wall place, that has some great food. There is plenty of parking the the back of the building, and the entrance is back there as well. The server was very good. The food came out promptly. The prices were great. I had the beef salad, and it was fantastic. Great cuts of beef, and great flavor. Would have liked more lime in the salad, but nothing that was too bad for me. If you can try this place out. I am sure you wont be disappointed.

I have been coming here for years and have recently found out that ownership changed . As for quality and quantity all has improved with authentic Thai food and some of "Grandmas Recipes" this place has improved 100 % Im really addicted to this place ! Amazing food with great prices ! Its a little hole in the wall but packs a big punch ! Thai iced tea with lemon and regular Thai iced tea is refreshing. So many different flavors and aroma coming from the kitchen. Romantic, family , business this place is good for all . Also serve Beer and Wine. Amazing food and Amazing desserts. Quiet !

First the reason I gave 2 stars is because I have loved this place for the last 13 years. It was always my go to place for my tribe (8 of usto go get great Thai food for a decent price. Went tonight, noticed the menu was new and didn’t have some of the classics we are used to, which we figured they just changed things up. That’s fine cool. Then we got our food, portions were a lot smaller than before. Then we hear this lady behind us using very vulgar language, mind you i thought it was just a loud costumer, come to find out she’s the new owner. WOW it took me by surprise, especially since I have my children in the restaurant as well as she using f bombs and everything else in the book. Then we got the bill, my husband and I was shocked, never in our 13 years of coming here and we paid as much as we did today. Right then we decided we would never be back. Which really sucks since this was the spot I shared with my grandma and it’s always been super special to me.

Awesome place to get something when in a rush. The service is speedy, prices are reasonable, excellent atmosphere. Will visit here again

Been coming here for over 14 years, and even with the new ownership I still wont stop coming. Food is fresh and delicious, service is friendly and not rushed, feels like eating at home.

My husband and I used to eat at Thai Bay Cafe several times a week. We moved to New Mexico to be with family....I MISS the scrumptious food at Thai Bay Cafe. If I could just talk Peter into shipping some to us in New Mexico Id call in an order at least once a week...Ive not found anything that even comes close to Thai Bay meals! Enough said!! Food was delicious as always, more people should discover this hole on the wall.Update: Since the change of ownership I miss the home cooked flavor on the food. Dont take me wrong, its still Ok, but just Ok. Its just tastes more commercial and less home cooked.

New ownership ! Fresh new menu with classic Thai choices and interesting new offerings and several classic refreshing Thai desserts.We enjoyed a complex and satisfying Pad Thai and the talented chef checked with us for our responses . He suggested fresh lime juice and that brightened the entree ! My lunch partners had mixed veg with tofu in a rich brown garlicky sauce, and orange tofu crispy and tender .The chef is creative and shared his early childhood experiences learning authentic Thai cookery at his mother’s kitchen .This unassuming venue near the busy intersection of Van Buren and Arlington is making a new start and their lunch menu is affordable and has many tantalizing options .

Thai food and the atmosphere at this spot is excellent. Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. The bill was average for the menu.

First time getting take out. The food was delicious. If you have never been here before, the restaurant is located west of Van Buren on the north side of the street. It will come up on you quickly, so slow down.

Hidden gem in the IE that deserves way more attention. Im slightly hesitant to write this review because theres a part of me that selfishly wants to keep it hidden, but its a must try spot. Food is amazing and the prices are even better, my wife and I love the Tom Ka Kai and yellow curry.

If youre ever hungry dont count on this place most of the time theyre closed and open late ... who opens on a Sunday at 4pm . You want thai go to the restaurant by California st they open early

This place is amazing so surprised that it was so lonely when we arrived, but the food is good the staff is wonderful the place is clean in the inside. At first i was apprehensive about the place because it looked empty or closed but this is my second time there and i have not been disappointed i really love everything we have ordered the times we have gone. I cant wait to go again

I love the welcomed feel you get here. They are so kind and gentle, and they cook some really good Thai food! The Tom Kha Khai is my favorite!

Authentic Thai food, they will prepare your order the way you like it. Quiet and family oriented. Dine in or take out too. Their Won Ton soup is one on the kind.

I honestly enjoy this restaurant. Ive been here multiple times now and every time I enjoy the food. Especially the curries that they have. The staff always treat me well, and they will have my repeat business.

My favorite Thai restaurant in Riverside. Great flavorful food with good service. I usually call in the order for lunch from work and its ready for pickup by the time I get there, about 12-15 minutes.

Ill give 3 stars because the food is good even tho the service isnt that attentive. Business hours arent really as advertised, they have a good place to do much better in business especially since Jumbo Bowl restaurant closed, they have a big parking lot, good area, if only they could improve their service & respect business hours.

The most authentic Thai I have found locally. Quaint little spot, wait staff is very attentive. Food comes quickly and is sooo delicious, my favorite of late is the lemongrass soup, just bursting with flavor.

I really love the food from there. Every thing is cooked fresh after you order it. The wait sometimes can seem long, but when the food gets there it is worth the wait.

The food here is excellent. I eat Thai food mostly in Orange County where I live, but this was a pleasant surprise. Yummy yummy

Great Thai place to eat, I love getting the yellow curry, pad Thai and Tom kha Kai. Always my favorite and always delicious when I eat there. The worker is great...

They use fresh ingredients. The ginger stir fry, chicken soft noodles, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken are my favorite. Home cooked Thai food. Service is great as well. You must try it.

Nice quiet atmosphere but wait staff was slow. I like Thai food but wasnt impressed with what I ordered. The others with me enjoyed their meal so your mileage may vary.

By far our favorite date night spot. Their customer service is beyond comparison, the food is fantastic. You will not be disapointed. It is family operated and they take much pride in their service and flavors.

Great food and service for a good price! The only two things that could make them better is if they used gluten free soy sauce and give a larger portion on their Mongolian beef. Maybe I was just really hungry. LolWe will be back.

My wife, daughter and I experienced the Thai Bay Cafe on Oct 24, 2008. We were a little apprehensive at first to visit the restaurant because of the part of town it is in. I used to work on the corner of Van Buren and Arlington for many years and I felt comfortable but my wife and daughter were a bit worried. We drove into the parking lot and I convinced them to give it a try. We did and we enjoyed the following dishes: #14 Tom Kha Kai Soup, #95 Pineapple Fried Rice, #67 Orange Chicken, #86 Yellow Curry and finally #52 Pad Thai. We liked everything except the Pad Thai which was probably good but not our taste. I would recommend this place if you want some good Thai food for dinner or lunch. We spent $53.00 on food and drink. I think they put a bunch of MSG in their dishes (I was up that night with my heart pounding awayand the next time I visit I will ask to remove it. BTW, the place had good service and was serving what looked like nice people, so our worried about the vicinity of the restaurant was unfounded.
