Maha Rat Rd, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand, Bangkok
This sizable, historic marketplace is known for selling an array of dried & salted seafood.
Good small market
Market was almost completely deserted. Only one remaining stall selling dried fish.
Wonderful. Love it. A must to visit if youre in Bangkok
If you are not local people, just follow people to go out from wat prah kaewBoat stop should pass this passage.Awosome but small
So so , nthing really amazing and nothing to complain about.
Located at the pier which you can take Chaophaya boats and a ferry to Wat Arun. Many nice re and coffee shops near by.
Loved it! Great food!
Good looking place food are very delicious
Cool
Very reasonable prices for shirts. You can also buy a bamboo juice.
You can find all the ingredients for a nice Thai dish. Smells great. There are many restaurants and lots of coffee shops to rest on a hot Bangkok day. Check the second floors of the buildings close to the river, for café/restaurants with a nice view.
Old dried fish market by Wat Pho, great atmosphere and tasty snack. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
One of the most exciting wet market I had seen in Bangkok. Here we can see how the sellers prepare the fishes, salted or fermented and bottled them or lay them out to dry. It is one huge space with many stalls in them. We were intrigue by the variety of fishes and sea animals on sales. People were very friendly, when asked to photograph them, most of them obliged with a smile. They do not get angry if we did not buy any of their goods but pry with astonishing and bewildered expression. It is one great place to do street photography. Never have I been allowed to go so near and so close to people on the street. I love the fish eyes, in your eye shots. My f1.8 lens had found some justice in its use.
Lovely coffee but a place pretty small
Peaceful, beautiful old market. Amazing variety of dried, salted and fermented seafood but the smells are all very pleasant! Also a few good stalls to buy meals to eat there.
Must go to...real Thai market with load of products..fresh to consumer goods
A lot of fresh food & coffee & cake shop(Be careful of taxi & tuk tuk scam in front)
It was interesting to walk around and they had some good deals.
Definitely a mom-loved place ever. Mummy can buy souvenir or foods or drinks or traditional ointment here.
Delicious foods...mango sticky rice so yummy i like it
Vendors were unattatentive and very rude. One told my gf" dont come back"
Exotic place for foreigner !! The traditional market, the location of the fitting on the back of Wat Pho, Beautiful little shops and restaurant ,quick easy ferry to wat Arun, and great little food places.
Beautiful temples, wasy to visit by both nice food.
Nice place to go. Good food (excellent banana pancake, fresh fruitsand a lot of little shops (clothes, local products, tourist products)
What a place, I liked it. There are many shops and vendors of tasty food as well as many more things. One must spend time here to explore the market
Old style Thai market for walking pass and shopping as satisfied.
Interesting vintage looking small market which specialize in selling good quality salted fish.
Nice little market at the river crossing. If you ever need to cross the river do it from here (just like the locals).
Lots of tourists. Police officers are friendly and helpful.
I got short shopping here while I was waiting for the ferryboat to Wat Arun. The cloths are inexpensive and the vendors were so friendly even when I and my friends dealt with them and they wanted to offer discount too so we got very good price.
This is the place worth visiting if someone really want a sneak peak into what Thai people eat. Place is full of dry fish, squids, salmons and spices. You can see a lots of variety of fish, especially dry fish here. The only problem is over the top smell, this place may be too stinky for people to bear it.
Beautiful little shops, quick easy ferry to wat Arun, and great little food places.
This is hard one to review... This market used to be our favorite market to go buy fish/squid/shrimp and other sea related food items. But then maybe around 2015 they fixed everything up and it all changed. It used to be for Thai and tourists but after renovation it lost its local feeling.Yes now it is very very clean but it is not the same anymore... And what is the most important for us, prices are much higher than before.
Big choices on local dried products, fish, shrimp others. An impossible odour all around.
Came for the early morning ferryboat to Wat Arun and ended up making friends with the Tha Tian Market kwayteow vendors. The noodles were so good I had two bowls.
Tha Tian market kept the essence of a wet/dry market while keeping it clean and easily accessible to tourist for those visiting was arun. Most of the stores were already closed when we there around 1pm, go early !There are many restaurants surrounding the market for tourist available which varies from proper meal to desserts, good place to have your lunch.
One of the cheapest place yet quality-made if you are looking for Bangkok souvenirs. Its near the pier as well! Plus there are a lot of restaurants you can eat around the place.
Small place selling lots of knic knacks, cool place to hangout for couple of beers
I like this place it is very convenient. Just accross the palace so you can go visit and then come back. To have some dinner. Thr place we dinned at was very expensive for what we got. Anyway more than this we got some covonut icecream that was good and we learned uber is ilegal in this part of town
Fantastic food court, great place to cool off and a ridiculous amount of shopping.
A great traditional market to wander about in and pop out next to the river. You could even buy stinky dried fish.
Tha Tian is like a mekka for popcorn lovers. They accept all forms of currency and sell to gingers
Old market for all kinds dry fishes and shrimps. Smell stinks.
I think almost markets here are friendly and colorful. Lets try if you come.
Historical place with affordable price to eat and shop
Used place due to its location by the Grand Palace and the Reclining Buddha. Same overpriced tourist stuff. Some good food places. Further down the road along the Grand Palace is the Navy 77 cafe. Good lunch and not overpriced.
You can walk around this market.. So much street foods and a lot of things.. cheaper than shopping mall
Cheap place. You can find almost anything here. Good place to get souvenirs
Nice place to have a walk around when visiting the Wat Pho vicinity. Many food stalls and drinks stalls.
Very popular travel attraction. You can find many fresh processed sea food here.
