Texas Roadhouse in Norman

I recently moved to OKC, and the Roadhouse is the closest somewhat upscale place to me. I come in early, alone, and always sit at the bar. Sports, country music, and cold beer at a good price. What is not to like? This place is solid in every way. I need to try a few new things on the early diner menu, but the 6 ounce steak is hard to beat. After the first time in, the bartenders know your name. Every bartender I have had has been very attentive and good to visit with. It feels like Cheers! LOL. My little area has a lot of regulars, you can tell. I have met some good people here. I come in several times a week for happy hour beer prices and a decent steak at a reasonable price. I have had one that was overcooked, but I am not a complainer and certainly not going to send it back when I am sure that the kitchen is swamped. At a time when so many are glad to sit on their butts and live off of the government, this place seems to be fully staffed. I appreciate that. My ONLY complaint...how can you have Texas in your name and not have fried okra on the menu?

I always have a good experience at Texas roadhouse. Just dont go there blindly. The app has a waitlist you can join so it doesnt take too long to get a seat if you leave to get there when your place comes up.

Was very nice and the small tablet things on the table made it so much easier to leave but they were very disoriented and disorganized our loaded french fries and grilled shrimp came after we were we were about to leave I get we did kind of ate fast and didn’t stay very long and they were very Busy on a wensday night they were very polite if on another road trip coming back would recommend food wise. This is not the first Texas road house I have been that after drinking there alcohol drinks that it has made my chest hurt and I have been drinking for more then a year and only have that problem at Texas road houses and I have tried different drinks each time I operate y’all’s service and southern hospitality alive

We eat here often and have the best service and steak when we go. Typically chain resturants are similar but this one is king. Thank you for keeping a friendly fast and fantastic place

Delicious high quality food, excellent service and really good atmosphere. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked.

I very time I come here I go straight for the bar. The service here is why I come, such great staff and always upbeat attitudes from the bar tenders.I live closer to a different TRH but that one kind of gives negative vibes. I’d rather drive an extra 20 minutes for good food and even better service.

Food was delicious and had a amazing time with my friends. Had a mess up in my order that was 100% my fault but they took care of it without a problem. Love this place and would happily come back again.

Had a great experience here. Our waitress, Airyel, was very attentive, friendly, and prompt. She offered us service with a smile the entire time. On 9.16.22 at 1630-1700 hours, I received a friendly greeting and smile from every team member who I walked past. Our food was delicious and made exactly as we requested as well as being brought to us in a timely manner. I will be returning! Thank you for your service and great attitude Airyel!

Had to steak dinner, perfectly made. Appetizers were delicious and our waitress was friendly and helpful. Clean bathroom. Would recommend

Great experience & the best steaks around by far! Were long time customers of this location (20yrs& have NEVER had a bad meal! A+ Our go-to place for steak. The staff is fun & interactive, which also makes it a FUN experience 😀.And "the ROLLS "! Enough said. LolGreat place for date night,just throw on your shorts/jeans & come on! Even a 30 min wait is SO worth it! ❤🤗🥩🥔 rolls!

The best steaks that you can get on the Southside of OKC! Porterhouse last time was great, got the Dallas Filet this time, great as well. The baked potatoes are some of the best as well. They are salted with rock salt and that speaks love to my taste buds. Cheese fries were good as well! Place is always packed but I seem to usually get a table within 10 mins though. I like to go on week days for that reason. Check in is on the outside now like a drive thru window, never seen that before but was a nice system. Waited in my car till I got a text instead of standing around. Always a pleasant experience.

I always love my Texas Roadhouse. First time at this location and my first experience with the new checkin process using the mobile app.Food quality was excellent and no different than other locations I’ve been to. Our stop was a great break from a long drive back home.

This 2 star rating has to do with their order take out vs. quality of food. Twice in a row, no cream gravy on my mashed potatoes. I double checked my online order and it was ordered. This is 2 months, 2 orders in a row.

This Texas Roadhouse is awesome. Our server, Jay, was fantastic. He was friendly, timely, and funny. The food tasted great and were cooked appropriately.

Our waitress Katy was awesome. All the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I loved the atmosphere and even though it was a bit of a wait to get in it was absolutely amazing and worth it. Thank you guys for the awesome service.

Food was decent. Restaurant was extremely crowded, had to wait 45 minutes. Took a long while to receive our orders... But the atmosphere was lively and the staff was great....

Great steaks good price would get 5 stars but nothing is perfect and wife had to have her steak re cooked. She wasnt upset about it, shes just a baby and Likes her steak to beef jerky texture I guess lol. They were super busy so I understood the mistake. This place was shoulder to shoulder busy. Great place non the less. Well worth the money and wait. (About thatwe did wait about 1 hour and 20 minutes but to be fair it was a Friday and holiday, but I will say once we got sat down we had our food SUPER FAST.

Nice service. Food was fair. I loved the onion blossom but the beef tips were tough. I would try it again just not the beef tips.

Best roadhouse weve been to...and we are originally from Texas. AMAZING SERVICE! Perfectly cooked steaks, fried pickles, and rolls. Manager was very nice and attentive to her customers as well. I see why this place was recommended so highly and has such great reviews.

We checked in online, got there 10 mins later checked in at the window , waited 30 and then went back to the window and the second lady said she couldn’t find our name… so. Told her the lady behind her checked us in.. they tales then told me to walk in .. had me wondering if I would kept waiting longer I would have never been called! This is the second time this happens to us at this location! I’m beginning to think may I should just get there and check in because if you do it online they Never call you! As for the waiter was awesome but checking in on line SUCKS!

Its just not the same since Covid. We went here and spent so much money and couldnt eat the food. The mash potatoes are not good anymore. Most of our group couldnt even finish there food. It was horrible. We left and went to Taco Bell. However the staff was great and friendly.

I ordered a steak yesterday before work. I got to work and it was dry and medium instead of medium rare. There was no pink in the center of it. It was tough. My fault for waiting until I went to work to get something. I couldnt take it back since I was at work so again my fault. Ill go back to Cattlemens.

Wife decided she wanted to eat here on a Fri evening knowing it would be busy so I took her. We were told it would be a 45 min wait so we signed up for a text to tell us when our table was ready. After an hour wait we checked and were told that the system had somehow dropped us but when they realized the error they were able to get us a booth immediately. The bad stops there . Once seated even though the place was packed and jumping our drink and food order was taken quickly. We received our drinks quick and the food wasnt to far behind. The shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly and both of our steaks were cooked exactly like we had requested. My opinion is they could have had a little bit more seasoning on them but let me tell you this, I cant remember the last time I had a steak that was as tender as these. They practically melted in your mouth! The bread was good, our sides were good and our waitress was top notch! She stopped by multiple times to check in on us. I was very happy with my visit and would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food in the area.

Other than always being very crowded and having to wait an eternity for a seat. The food and service is on point. I know they have to be tired and stressed but they never seem to show it. Jason was our server and went above and beyond to make our experience a positive one.

Our waiter, Chase was excellent. My steak was cooked medium well when I requested medium rare. Normally I would have sent it back but because they were so busy I kept it. I also did not report it because I didn’t want to make a big deal out if it.

Server was awesome and friendly. Steaks were cooked just right and full of flavor.Rolls were not quite as airy and fluffy as I remember but still tasted good.

You almost cant give a one star review on a Texas Roadhouse, but if it werent for the rolls... My wife and I go in pretty often and we typically order the porterhouse to share. But, the last several times weve gone, to both this location and the one on SW 3rd off MacArthur, the steak has been dreadfully overdone. The cook on these steaks is consistently inconsistent, and although I know you can send it back, its not worth waiting another 20 minutes for a new one after the family has their food already-especially if its a repeat offense....

Delicious Food and Great Staff! We a group of 5, came at around 930pm about 30mins before closing and the food tasted fresh and staff was super professional. Overall the best dining experience hands down.

Visited I-240 location at opening meal was great but even better Candice our waitress was "stellar".

Good food, friendly staff. Great locations and waits are usually less than 30min during peak hours. Con,... steaks are consistently rare even if ordered med. well.

My husbands uncle had passed away and we all decided to eat here. At was a party of 18. We had to be split up and had 2 different servers. Our server, I think he name was Bryceleigh was amazing! The other server I think her name was Analaine, she was awful. She literally sat at a table right by us and ate some bacon cheese fries with her friends. The other table that had her kept having to ask for refills and bread. She had no intentions of taking care of any table, except the ones her friends were at. I just thought it was VERY rude of her to be eating and everyone that she was supposed to be taken care of did without or another person would have to do it for her. The food was great! I just provided a low rating due to the server visiting with her friends and griping about have to take the BIG parties. Little does she know, customers could hear her frustration and the conversations she was having with her friends.

Yummy food, not my favorite environment; but thats a me issue.If youre into loud country bars with tvs playing sports everywhere, this is the place for you. Great steaks, the rolls needed a bit longer in the oven but who am I. 🤷‍♀️

Service was great..steaks a little stringy. Sides were good..NO PEANUTS.. should have complimentary 1lb bags sealed up for request........went back steak was as excellent informed mgr she gave me 2 bags peanuts

Update: Cory reached out to me and listed to all my issues. My husband and I decided to try it again and it seems the issues were in that night. My better experience this timeWe dont typically visit this location but its the closest to our new house. We checked in online and headed over. We expected a long wait being a Saturday evening. We got our table and ordered. The waitress was nice and tried to fix all she could but I highly doubt we will be back. My husband ordered the road kill and in his second bite he found cardboard. We got the waitress to let her know and she had a hard time finding a manager to come help. She finally took the plate back to get a new one. The manager came over and apologized for it and gave my husband something else while waiting on his remake. They also told us they were going to take his off the bill. The new one comes out and halfway into it and he finds a plastic tab under his food. The next manager apologized that the second one had a foreign object in it also. This time we did not bother having it remade. We paid the remainder or the bill for my food and out soft drinks. As we were leaving the second manager gave us a coupon to come back but I highly doubt we will. I have always loved this place but this location has some serious issues with the kitchen staff obviously. Now to top it off now that we are home his stomach starting to hurt pretty bad.

Wonderful customer service! And the manager came around frequently to make sure we were happy. We had 6 plus a newborn in the carrier. They were very accommodating. The food was delicious as well.

We hadnt been to Roadhouse in years. Its always very busy. Thats because they have good food!! We enjoyed good food and great prices. I was surprised the steaks are great and not exorbitant in price. We enjoyed our dinner.

The only thing I don’t like about this place is the constant happy birthday yelling but I get it. I go to this location often and it is almost always a great experience. Great food great service. The few times I have had an issue not only did they make it right but they invited me back for a free meal. Love this place!

Its my absolute favorites roadhouse location. The staff is always friendly and the food is great. If there is a mistake they wont hesitate to make it right

They have the most amazing grilled meatloaf!! The portions are huge for dinner. Meant to take a picture before I got into it..Lol..but it smelled so good I forgot.

Hubs and I came here last night for date night and their Vday special going on…. Long wait time, to be expected but we finally got seated at the bar and we were immediately greeted with exceptional service from Brandy and Cameron. food was hot and delicious. Drinks were fire. Tap is fresh and crisp. Rolls are the reason we were there. Fried pickles were crispy hot and delicious. It was a 10 star experience. We come here every chance we get which isn’t often. We had a great time tonight! My daughter had her 7th birthday and they went above and beyond to make her feel special. Katy our server was amazing! We never needed a refill and she was spot on making suggestions that complemented our meals. We will definitely be going back for every big event for our family from now on. Overall fantastic experience.

Worst service Ive had in years. Being a party of 3, we had to wait 50 minutes then asked to wait another 15 so our waitress could take a break. That was ridiculous. Management didnt know what to do so they made themselves scarce. I requested we get seated as soon ad possible. I saw at least three empty booths. They switched waitresses. Come to find out, their computers were down. Once we were seated, it took our new waitress a while to take our order, request for more rolls was delayed. They forgot our butter. By then we were running late for a previous engagement. We had to take our food to go. Management finally showed up after the dust settled and asked us if everything was satisfying. Psh, I tried to be respectable and rather vent here than lash out at their bad organization. Definitely the last time I come here. Posting a picture of the empty booths and what I stared at for a while. Lol

Came here for my husbands birthday. The food was great. Our waiter was very nice and made sure we were good with our steak before she left the table. The only thing I didn’t like was the kids across fro us screaming on the tip of his damn lungs. I had my 4 year old with me and she wasn’t screaming. The older couple next to us asked to be seated in a different place because it was so bad. Then the couple behind shortly after got up and left. Other than that the food and service was AMAZING. We will be back!!!!

This location was phenomenal! They did not miss a beat from the moment we walked in the door. I ordered the half rack of ribs with corn and mashed potatoes with sour cream and bacon as my sides of choice. Everything tasted delicious. The ribs fell right off the bone as menu states. Our server, Hannah was terrific.The manager came to our table and asked us if it’s been a while since our last visit and gave us a bag of peanuts and a free appetizer on our next visit coupon. Top notch!
