Terryland Forest Park - Park in Galway, Ireland
Terryland Forest Park in Galway
Description
Love it
Incredibly beautiful
Good to walk with family and dogs
Lovely place for a walk with the kids.
Grate for running or walk on a fresh air. Could do with some fitness area with pull up bar and dip platform...
MoreUnfortunately this "park" is in really bad state. Bottles, rubbish everywhere. Not safe for small kids to walk as whole path is uneven. No easy access either as one of the entryway is always blocked by car. Cant access with buggy. Shame for Galway City council. Like rest of the city" parks".
MoreRefreshing walks amidst Sylvan surroundings - a great place for a lunchtime stroll on ones lunch hour. Easily accessible and plenty of free parking dotted around.
MoreA dog ate my sandwich and a man who referred to himself in the third person talked to me about his love for squirrels. The ground was dirty and it rained
MoreA handy place to unwind near the middle of town. with nice walks amung the trees and small river.

Nice piece of country in the heart of the city
Love this oasis in the city. Nice for a gentle run away from traffic.
Nice park but unfortunately short walks broken up by busy roads with lots of traffic.
MoreBoring walk and often dirty
Good for a walk
Good place for weekend relax like picnic
Boring
Beautiful area
Beautiful scenery
Fab forest lots of trees and grass as you would expect in a forest a lot of clean oxygen too its essential to keep a good walk going, plenty of streams running through it in case you need a tinkle like I did hope this helps all the best one love ✌🏻️
MoreThis expanse of wooded/park area extends out to the Headford Road, just outside Galway City. It is broken up into different areas that include Sandy Road towards Liosbaun/Riverside and also across Bothar Na dTreabh towards Tirellan. It also has areas on the left of the Headford Road, outbound in Terryland. A small tributary of the River Corrib, the Terryland stream, meanders through the forest, making for an interesting outlook. The forest is full of all sorts of wildlife, with a lot of tree planting evident. Far from finished at the moment, a walk through it is definitely worth it. Some areas are accessible by gravel paths and it is sometimes hard to believe that it is just outside the city!
