Nice place, room is clean and relaxing. Food was good. Courteous staff. Jermaine was my server today. Hes well mannered and professional. Kudos!

Used to go here all the time, now just not worth it. Very tired, run down and to be honest, quite smelly!! Bar did not open until 14.00 for some strange reason. A sad state of affairs, needs a big investment. We now use the AC Marriot.

Staff is really the best part of this hotel. I’ve stayed here enough that the staff knows me well. I fell safe here it’s almost a hidden gem. Breakfast is always good to me and menu items are cool. BUT the dining room service is beyondddd slow and underwhelming. The rooms are clean (my last experience the room smelled funky but clean).

Thames hotel is ok, but is oldie… When I was stay in this hotel the wifi didn’t work almost one day. The service is too slow.

The food was well presentable and delicious. Their lobster was everything. We had made a reservation for 8pm but we got there late. The kitchen was closing soon but they were very courteous. They got us seated and took our orders. The staff was commmendable. The chef, the waiters, the receptionist were all friendly. Thank you for having us. We had an amazing dinner. Plus we had the restaraunt to ourselves🙂

Lovely and spacious Conference room with comfortable seating and delicious food. Easy access to restrooms was also a plus.

Went there on a Friday for their cocktail special. 5 or 6 cocktails available all night till 10pm. For one charge.

My godson and I had brunch here. It was an AMZING experience. The food was phenomenal, and the service was top notch. I have to make special mention of our waiter Maurice. He ensured that our dining experience was above our expectations. I will definitely go back to have brunch and possibly stay over. I would encourage others to check out Terra Novas Sunday brunch.

Paid US$250 for a night. Rooms are huge and wonderful. Breakfast was great too. Posh place to lounge. Bar area dinner with DJ and seatdown posh dinner area available. I arrived early and my luggage was kept safely until when I returned. The hotel got me a trusted and reliable taxi to Kingston to tour. Near mall for shopping including souvenirs. Overall, wonderful place to chill. Go Jamrock

Had seen good reviews but was not pleased with the restaurant service. Had long waits for the food and a big gap in between appetizer and main course. Was not very organized on the day.

Always a great spot for late night food and drinks at the Casino. The Monte Carlo Burger and the BBQ wings are always a hit!

My company held our womens day here September 17th and the location was good, the food was good, the setup was good and the staff was amazing ..

Hands down best hotel breakfast in Kingston although they did eliminate the breakfast buffet due to the Covid protocol and it still has not returned as of September of 2022. Rooms are spacious and clean even through they look old school but classic. The Regency bar is attached to the hotel and also a good old school haunt with a good crowd on Thursday nights.

This review is for the restaurant and not for hotel. Food was barely mediocre and they took 1.5 hours to bring our food. Most of it was cold by then. Desserts were equally sad. Only the description is good rest all sucks including customer service

My family and I stayed at Terra Nova last week. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and the friendly dining room staff. If I were rating them on the food only they would receive 5 stars. However, service to me is the whole package: the food, the service from the staff, and the facility. I must also state that the staff was kind and professional. They would also get a higher star rating if the facility was better kept. The uncleanness of the hotel was unacceptable. The place is old and dirty. The carpet at the entrance was the first indication of how run-down the hotel is. The carpet in my room was so filty. I didnt want anything of mine to touch it. Terra Nova can either change those old rugs out or invest in a carpet shampooer. I am sure they can afford to. After all, they are one of the more expensive places to stay in Kingston. The couch in my room was deplorable. I had to ask for a sheet to throw over it because It was so dirty and stained. The window blinds were dirty and had black dirt stains on them. I should have taken a picture to share. The walls and runner in the hall way were very filty. A fresh coat of paint and new carpet are needed. My family and I were so disappointed. We spent too much money for such an unkept facility. The seats in the lobby area are old and dirty. This was, for most of us, our first time staying there, but definitely neither one of us will ever stay there again. Terra Nova had 2 years during the pandemic to do some renovations, and they did not take advantage of the time. Yall need to do better. I would never recommend anyone to stay there, unless they invest in some much needed renovations.

Wow! The Service at Terra Nova was amazing. Everyone was just so warm and welcoming and Friendly. The location was good, and the room was clean and very comfortable. I just love it there. 👍😊 I would visit there again for sure

This was some what disappointing food journey but the staff are amazing but the food did not live up to the hype. The starter which the Jerk Chicken Confit was hands down amazing. The main course which I was most excited for was such a disappointment. I really love Rack of Lamb and this was so sad. The lamb could have been seasoned more, the roasted garlic mashed potatoes were dry so never bothered with that but the Exotic Greens with Seasonal Fruit Vinaigrette was bomb that salad was everything. The Desserts were to die for the Cheesecake was what you expect and then more and the Crème Brûlée exceeded all expectations.

We had a wonderful one night stay at this hotel. We would recommend and definitely return.The breakfast was delicious, the staff were very accomodating and welcoming, from reception to dining.The pool was beautiful, theres also a gym available. Car parking was good.They had live jazz music the night we arrived, sadly we missed it, after we had checked in.Go there u will not be disappointed!

Had breakfast and it was great. Love the atmosphere, the service was on point! Got an ackee and salt fish breakfast for $23usd. It came with a fruit plate, cantaloupe, melons and pineapple. Sorry I didn’t get to take any pictures… I had started eating when I remembered.

Customer service was great, the service overall wasnt as good due to wait time. We spent ahout 2 hours waiting for our meal after ordering. When it did came we regret not getting up to go dine somewhere else. The food was HORRIBLE! Would not recommend it. The area is beautiful though. Thanks to the gentle men that sang "happy birthday" that was a nice touch that I truly appreciated!

Went there for a managers meeting, Meeting room was ok.. The service was excellent and the team of waiters and waitresses was awesome.

The service at the restaurant was awful. We waited an hour and a half for our food, and we had to ask the waiter to bring our drinks because we were hungry. There was no communication about the lengthy wait

No elevatorOur room was NOT a Suite.Restaurant Terrace has an extremely long wait. Reserve a table as soon as you arrive. Service was very lengthy.Casino next door is sad and depressing.Very hard to get a Uber to Ocho Rios.

Very beautiful hotel nestled in the buzzing business community. Good staff and the food is amazing here. Recency is top tier, you have to try the dishes here and prices are reasonable . Michael from Banqueting is a gem and made my experience wonderful.

Great accommodation. Staff were friendly, helpful and showcased exceptional customer service. Room service was timely, meals were well done (4 starsjust need to work on accuracy in meal orders delivered. Amenities on point. COVID-19 measures were properly adhered to. Its also close to the airport, Knutsford Express, and other locales such as Devon House (about 10-15 mins walking distance).Overall a very good stay, relaxing environment, affordable pricing and good for whether you want a quick retreat or just stopping over for a business trip.

Great location for an intimate function especially a wedding. Banqueting Manager Ms. Wynter is through and professional when dealing with wedding professionals who have chosen the Terra Nova for their wedding couple. The function spaces are multidimensional an therefore can accommodate the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in a private atmosphere.

Went to a wedding here, by the Pavillion. Its a good space for a small wedding. The pool adds something nice to the view, so does the arch there. The food was not good. Tasted like I couldve done better and I do not cook.

Spectacular experience. The staff were top notch and very accommodating. My flight arrived an hour before curfew and well after the on-site restaurant closed. I was able to pre-order our meals which were served hot and bursting with flavor after 11 pm when we checked in and settled into our room.Critique? Dated fixtures in the bathroom and the shower stall was certainly in need of regrouting. However, it did not detract from the charm of the room. It did take a while to have breakfast served in the morning. The exquisite taste, however, more than made up for the lengthy wait.Pros:The grounds were immaculately maintained and sitting in the outdoor area of the restaurant for breakfast felt like being in a tropical oasis, despite being in the city.Proximity to Devon House made it a gem in my book. This was a highlight of my first trip back to Kingston, Jamaica in years.I recommend the Terra Nova Hotel without hesitation and thank my girlfriend Robertha for suggesting I stay there for my brief stint in Kingston.

I stayed in this hotel for four nights for a peaceful break after attending my sisters funeral in Jamaica. I couldnt have chosen a better place. Even though housekeeping was curtailed because of cautiousness in this period, but I lacked nothing in terms of towels and bathroom facilities. The Jamaican breakfast was excellent and everyday I could take back packed fruits and banana cake to my room. I had the most beautiful little balcony where I could sit in peace to enjoy my evening meals with a glass or two of wine 🍷 from the bar. Checking in and out was smooth and the front desk staff were as warm and friendly as indeed were all the other staff I met!I hope to visit the Terra Nova Hotel again in the future and under happier circumstances.

I only gave it three stars because I didnt use the full amenities. Only utilised a hall for a party. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Food was okay (I did not like the cheese/sponge cake and the cold curry goat). Room was spacious and beautifully decorated.

3 star because the wait was terrible and even after being served it still took forever between courses.On a good note the food was excellent. The burger was great and the shrimp was awesome, lobster and mac n cheese best ive had.

Attended an awards ceremony and I must say it was one of the best hotel experience I have ever had, the environment was so clean and the staff ( all malewas nothing short of exceptional. This is definitely a wonderful experience and perfect for any event

A nice venue for all types of events. Staff are generally friendly and courteous. Usually ample parking available. Food for the most part is great. My 1 challenge with all of these places is lack of good quality tasting vegetarian options... I struggle to find food to eat whenever I go out for fine dining, so I dont much.I am longing for the day Jamaica recognizes that there are actually people who dont consider fish as an option when we speak vegetarian...

Such a very nice place with excellent customer service from all staff members from the entrance of the hotel to the security when leaving.I was greeted, temperature checked and hand sanitized at the door. Entrance was very picturesque and the cleaned in my observation continuously.Very attractive and filled with beautiful chandeliers, even in the bathrooms. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. Everyone was kind, professional and hospitable. All prices for food was quoted in US dollars- good for me as I used my card with ease.I recommend a visit. I will return.

The food was awesome. The chef was on point with all varieties of dishes. Presentation was heavenly. The escargot and seafood dishes were delectable, not overcooked and seasoned just right. The chicken salad had a mixture of fresh fruits and vegetable with freshly fried jamaican green plantains. I have to mention that the chicken breast was so tender it was almost unrecognizable.This experience was a gastronomical delight. The waiters were polite and attentive. It was an excellent outing this time around.

Loved the loaded fries. I had the endless cocktails - they dont skimp on the alcohol content, for sure, so if youre looking for a buzz, you can achieve that quickly. The wait time was short and the waitress were pretty attentive- looking out for when you needed a refill. The ambiance is nice. It was a good experience. If you have a big group- you may have to get separate tables.
