Overlooking Netarts Bay and the ocean, this unassuming motel is a minute's walk from the closest beach, 2 miles from Oceanside Beach State Recreation Site and 5 miles from Cape Meares National Wildlife Refuge.Unpretentious rooms provide free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus minifridges and microwaves; many offer ocean or bay views. Upgraded rooms add balconies, kitchenettes and/or sofabeds. The 1- or 2-bedroom cabins add kitchens, and living rooms with sofabeds. The 2- or 3-bedroom cottages, some with bunk beds, offer ocean-view decks.Parking and breakfast are free. There's a patio with seating and ocean views. Pets are welcome.
Very very very basic accommodations. Don’t expect much. Fantastic views so if you are out and about you won’t be too disappointed about your room.
Dont let the exterior fool you. From the outside, its a little rough around the edges. Once you get inside your room, you will be amazed at all the amenities (including a wood burning stove, full kitchen, living room and large bathroom with nice sized shower). You have private access down to the beach and a wonderful seating area to watch the sunset, just steps from your room. And, if you dont want to go outside, you can see the sunset from the comfort of your living room. I will recommend the motel to anyone traveling in this area.
Very nice room step out side and theres the beach we plan on going back next summer
For 6 years we come here with our kids. We enjoy it very much. But they sold it. So I am thinking if prices and the feel of the place goes bananas, we will have to find a new place.
I am so bummed, the terimore was just bought by a big hotel investor. A hotel room that used to cost $150/night in the summer now costs $210 in the winter? That is almost a 50% increase in price?! This was one spot my family could afford to visit the coast. Ive been staying at the terimore over the past 5 or 6 year consistently.
This place is an absolute gem! The private balcony view was amazing, we got to watch lots of people clamming out on the beach while we drank our morning coffee. There’s a little park just below your room balcony that adds to the ambiance. Room was clean and comfy with cute furniture. The town itself is very small but charming. Lexie’s Cool Stuff is just steps away from the Terimore and Lexie herself serves fresh baked brownies all day there. Of the many places I’ve stayed on the OR coast this is one of my favorites. Will definitely be back!
I booked last minute for one night on Saturday, had to pay little more than usual. This motel at first look, I thought will not be a good night but when we arrived in room wasn’t bad, very spacious for 2 of us, everything was provided clean towels, beds were okay. But the view of ocean and sunset from the balcony was spectacular, made my night well. Walking distance to ocean. Only 6 miles from Tilamook City .
This little hidden gem is amazing! Unbeatable views from the rooms, which are cute and always super clean. Management and cleaning crew are flexible and friendly. Will definitely be coming back for years to come!
Say good bye to a once wonderful motel. Weve stayed here for many years. It was always well run, purposely kept affordable for families, and easy to call or use the website to make a reservation. On Ben Srs watch. I know the son has been looking to sell the place for awhile. Must have sold. Right now their web page is non functional. We had a reservation a week ago. We stayed there a lot. Made a new reservation for next week via phone. When we got our confirmation they bumped the rate 33%. The people youre dealing with are no longer local. Asked for clarification. No response. The least you should expect is responsiveness for your business. Im hoping our stay wont be the same as whatever the new owners are thinking. Trying to find locally run places is almost impossible anymore but wed advise you to think elsewhere at least for awhile.
We had high hopes from the accolades that Terimore gives themselves online. We walked in and were immediately struck with a strong mold smell coming from the tiniest bathroom ever known to man, right off the kitchen. The bedroom upstairs had no tv or bathroom. What really shocked us was how rickety and steep the stairs are. Plan on taking your life into your own hands every time you fight your way down to the bathroom. Every time I made it back to the top of the stairs I always felt relief that they didnt come crashing down. Neighbors were loud and dogs everywhere. I actually had a locals dog come running up on us when we were down at the beach, and he drew blood on my arm when his claws got me. Nobody cared, especially the dumb owner. Oregon leash laws not enforced at all. The view is fine. Not great. Much better at every other location weve stayed at on the Oregon coast over the past 30 years. This is a cheap, cramped, dated, very small, accommodation with very few amenities. No personal contact with owners or managers, but a ton of repeat emails and texts constantly telling you things that are annoying and not that helpful. Never replied to our emails, but the texts and emails just kept on a comin. Really wish wed have paid more to stay somewhere nicer. This was a really bad place to stay. Never again.
My wife and I have been repeatedly coming to the Terimore for 8 years now. We always stay for a week during the 4th of July, and make multiple trips throughout the year. We have turned this into a family tradition, and bring our oldest and their kids, our grandchildren, and have never, ever, had anything less than a great time. Ben is an amazing host, a genuinely great guy, and we will return, weve already reserved the cottage for next year. With Ben, youre family. And thats exactly why we keep coming back.My family and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. Netarts and the Terimore is home away from home for us. Thank you again, Ben!Youve got our info, take care, and see you soon!Brian and Cher
A quiet place that feels like the edge of the world. Clean, quiet, with a reasonable price. Well be back next month.
The view from the room is stunning. Its self check in so I never met the staff. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the patio was lovely.
Outside location is horribly unkept. Inside rooms were clean and well kept. Service was not in person but helpful to check in. View was spectacular.
Nice room. Older hotel but no musty smell. Very clean and inviting. The staff was very nice and quick to answer request for extra coffee too.wonderful view of the bay and the ocean.
The view was fantastic, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The hot water barely filled the tub though before becoming cold and the rooms seemed pretty tiny for $150/night. All said, I will probably stay there again.
Would not recommend. I stayed here with my partner and they texted him countless times before check in. It was a nice location on the water but the room had ants and needed a good deep cleaning. I found a sewing needle in the bed too.
We booked direct and stayed in March. It was very good value for room overlooking the ocean with beach access. The staff were very helpful when we had trouble with the tv and would definitely stay again
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The floors are so dirty my socks turned black in just a few minutes of being here. The outlets sparked when I plugged my phone charger in. The electric heater and the fridge are rusty. There are fire hazards. There are fitted sheets on the beds, but no top sheets. The fantastic view and the close by clamming dont make up for having to sleep in this dump.
The Termore is a great place to stay. The beds are firm and comfortable...lot of pillows. The staff is helpful and responsive. I stumbled on this place by accident during a coming trip and decided to rent a room in the future Im so glad I did. Everything about my stay was amazing. Im already looking forward to my next stay. ❤️
It wasn’t bad. Great location!! Fantastic views. The room was clean but there was a questionable electric situation. The wifi didn’t work. They did have dvds that could be borrowed which was cool. Classic. No pool or anything fancy. I’d say it was overall decent! Average. Not sure I’d stay again.
Room was not ready until 1.5 hrs after check in time. When it was ready, it had been very thoroughly cleaned. We waited in the outdoor seating area over the beach. Also watched the sunset here. Staff was apologetic and friendly. Remote check-in/out process was very convenient. Parking is very limited and so are nearby food options. Breakfast is not included in your stay. Walls are very thin which kept me up. My husband slept like a log on the comfy bed.
Great customer service!! Room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful view of the bay and beach access was right out side the door. They had a DVD player in the room and free movies, I really enjoyed our stay and will stay again!!
I LOVE this place! Its right off the beach and you get such a good price for the location. The rooms werent five star, but the location and ease of getting into our room was so nice. They even have free movies and a free crab cooking station!
The view is awesome. The room 8 is an old room. The screen door are dirty and rusty.. The bed is not comfy. The blow dryer is broken and the electricity anytime is shutting off.. Owner need to renovate that room like their other rooms..
Lovely. Reasonable price. Be OK with minor inconveniences. Coffee pot and TV hard to work. Management friendly and helpful. Fabulous beach access. Definitely on my return list.
Absolutely live this place , we come here every year. They take such great amazing care of us and go above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience. They are almost like family now. We love this place and highly recommend it.
Updated rooms in an older motel. Great view of the bay and ocean. Furniture could be better. We enjoyed our stay. They have adequate parking in a lot behind the motel. They were very communicative about procedures due to COVID. We had no issues.
Great view of the ocean and awesome little walkway where you can sit and watch the ocean outside. Two convenience stores close by. Parking is very limited and room was a little small. The view could never be beat with the price! Definitely would suggest if you are on a budget.
I want to give this a 4.5 because management went above & beyond. If you are looking for fancy accommodations, this place isnt it. If you want a quiet, dog friendly room with a rustic atmosphere & a kitchen to prepare some meals - this is your place. Clean little place with loft boasted an amazing bay window, view. They provide tide times for the year. If however, you are over 62" (like my son in lawyou would have to sit side saddle on the toilet or leave door open - which neither of us wanted to experience. Management offered a 2nd room for them and I stayed in the loft as I am not tall.
Great location (ocean views were fantastic, beach access is nice, good outdoor lounging). Staff was helpful.Hotel "bones" are limiting... rooms are smaller, walls/ceilings are thin, fans in bathrooms dont seem to do much, lights outside are super bright and make the rooms bright at night, etc.If you are coming for the location, would definitely recommend.
they are the nicest people. Lydia and I are post middle age grunge musitions with a two month old chuwawa puppy. our motel vi$its are the stuff of legend. please be neater than us. this place is so relaxing!
I couldnt be happier with my stay at the Terimore and heres why. It was raining the whole time there so I had to stay in the room more than I expected. The room was very clean, had a great view, and ammenities but it was super hot. I texted the manangement and immediatelythey sent me a much needed fan. So amazing! So grateful! Thanks for caring and making my stay perfect. Would definitely recommend this place
The views are spectacular. They are remodeling at the moment so not all the top floors are open yet. Just #25. Bring ear plugs though as the walls are paper thin and some people are just down right rude and inconsiderate. We were in room #25 too and nobody beside us. It was from under us and still could hear him quite clear talking and laughing. Even heard him snoring when they finally went to bed at who knows what time. No excuse to be loud at midnight and later. We forgot this since the last time we stayed. Probably wont stay again. Too bad too.
Excellent view and good walking path (some stairsdown to access beach area! Older motel, room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet area (at least when we were there, 8/25). Chris (I thinkchecked us in and was very friendly, even called the store on the corner to see if they were still serving food, and carried one of our bags from the car to the motel room (so we wouldnt have to make 2 trips). There is a little carryout grocery next door, just the basics (limited hot food), a little grocery on the corner, and 1 restaurant called the Upstairs, so may need a little pre-planning for food (you are about 8 miles from Tillamook).
Lots of the rooms here have an ocean view. The stay here was very pleasant and just a nice place to get away from it all! A fast easy walk down to the beach from almost any room. The Terimore is literally off the beaten path making it a quaint and quiet getaway.
We called for reservations several months ago explaining that we wanted a dog friendly, quiet lodging in a small town on the 4th of July as our dog does not tolerate fireworks. We were assured that although local residents might ignite small fireworks, in general celebrations on the 4th were brief and modest. So after we checked in, a business owner nearby said to us, "They told you WHAT? There are two huge fireworks displays here. Youre in between them!" When I complained to the Terimore management, the motel owners said, "So what. Not our problem." So we spent $240 to put our dog in a terrible situation. My husband is disabled also, and we were told the room was handicapped friendly. It wasnt. The floors are slick. He slipped and fell the first night. There is no handicapped parking. I would avoid this place if you are handicapped. It isnt safe. The room was also cramped and run down. I dont like to whine, and I give plenty of good reviews, but Ill never stay here again.
Had an amazing 4 night stay here over spring break. The management was fantastic even when we kept changing rooms and adding on rooms for additional people! Could not have asked for nicer people. The view is stunning. The rooms had everything we could have asked for. We were blessed with great weather for much of our stay, but this place would also be great for watching the storms roll in. Our large group (about 15 of us usuallyhave all agreed that this is our new go to place at the beach!
Under new management in 2019! We were greeted with friendliness and helpfulness and told that if we hurried, we would catch a perfect sunset. And we did! The room was very clean and all necessary towels and toiletries were provided. Walls are thin and I could hear what was going on in the rooms adjacent. The view of Netarts Bay with the ocean beyond it was outstanding and the price for the room was unbeatable considering the location.
What a wonderful stay. The staff was so kind and accommodating. We stayed for a couple nights and really got to know the area. This place has a great view, a comfortable bed, and sinfully hot water. So nice and relaxing. This motel is clean and homey. I highly suggest for any getaways on the mid coast. It is wonderfully situated outside of Tillamook and right near some cool hiking spots. If we brought our dog, she would have been allowed! I would not have noticed that pets were allowed though just because everything here was in swell condition. Can’t wait to come back to our getaway by the sea.
My family stayed in one of the upper floor units. The view was spectacular. The staff here made us feel like we were family. I think the lady in the office (Savannahis one of the sweetest women I have ever met, and her (husband?Ken is very intelligent and knowledgeable. Will come again!
It isnt wasnt some big amazing place, but for last minute spur of the moment everything else booked, it wasnt half bad. It was a clean and warm and cozy 2 bedroom house that served the purpose. It was lacking a few things in the kitchen that would have made it easier to prepare meals, and the bathroom was extremely small, but we did enjoy ourselves and absolutely would return.
Cute, quaint and has beach character in the rooms. Beautiful view. Our dogs loved hanging on the porch and watching the boats. Rooms are compacted and off season pricing was a bit more than expected but we highly ecommend it to people! Well be back
The little inn by the sea was amazing. The room was a good size and we were able to fit 4 adults and one toddler in for the weekend. Right outside our room door was a cute patio facing the bay and Ocean with a beachside access path. There were benches, chairs and a table for relaxing and taking in the sunset or just enjoying the view. I will definitely be back with my wife and have already recommended it to friends and family.
Clean, but cabin has clearly seen better days. Subfloor leans in kitchen, toilet not properly seated, and you have to sit on it sideways. The staff are very nice, and the beach is awesome. The cabin is not worth $80/night.
Our room was recently updated and was super nice. I think we were the first to stay in it after the remodel. I noticed the tub was on a slope that allowed water out of the shower and onto the floor. The staff was so appreciative that I would alert them so as to help avert future damages. I really liked this little place tucked off the main highway and next to the sea. Great morning walk with my daughter.
Everyone is SO friendly there! A lot of the rooms are different. We stayed in room #4. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that the sofa bed in that room is really uncomfortable and the sofa is dirty and stained. We paid about $150/night with 4 people and a dog in mid July. For lodging at that price, you should get a clean sofa and a comfy bed. There was a bed upstairs, then the sofa bed downstairs. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from both stories. The beach is a short walk down some stairs. The beach is not wheelchair accessible from the motel. Theres a grocery store and deli right next door and in the motel lobby, they have many DVDs you can borrow for free. The rooms have DVD players in them. Just next to the grocery store is a very cool shop with awesome old and unique stuff. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. We had a great stay, with the exception of the uncomfortable sofa bed. I would still highly recommend this place, I would just make sure everyone has a real bed to sleep in. We really enjoyed staying here.
My girlfriend and I had a great experience at The Terimore! The views from the room balconies were spectacular, especially around sunset! Our room was clean and the management was very helpful and friendly. They even went out of their way to mail me an item we left behind when we left. We would definitely stay there again when visit the coast in the future!
Cabin 1 is cozy, one private bedroom with a closet, two dressers and is spacious. Bathroom has a small stand in shower. Full kitchen, nice dishes. Living area is great with a wood table and 3 matching chairs. A tv, DVD player and basic cable, couch is large doubles as a sleeper sofa. Staff is friendly courteous and accommodated my therapy dog. The view is great and the beach is a short walk down a few stairs and a wood path. Agates, shells and memories found there. We will visit here again.
You know, I almost dont want to be honest here - I LOVE this place, but I dont want it to become so popular that I cant get a reservation! But - honestly - this is my go-to coastal retreat.I am a native Oregonian, and have enjoyed vacations in coastal spots from Brookings to Astoria. And this is where I love to stay. The people are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are charming, and its a short walk down to the beach. The beach is wide, beautiful, and never crowded. There is a cool little vintage store and locally owned mini mart nearby, and good restaurants close by. Its pet friendly, so you can bring your canine family members too.The rooms are all a unique, and while theyre not super-fancy, I actually prefer them to the more polished and expensive places Ive been. And do you really go to the coast just to sit in your room all day? (Although if you do want to just chill out and read a book, watch a movie or just look out at the sea, youll find these rooms super comfy and homey, with plenty of amenities.)I love the Terimore.
