Teras Restaurant & Lounge - Bar & grill in Falkenhagener Feld, Germany
Fantastic Turkish restaurant. Great selection on the menu. Grilled lamb kebabs were excellent as was the bread. Brilliant service and very reasonably priced. Loved it.
Great local restaurant - good service generous food portions, best lampshades anywhere local
Lam beyti was not directly coocked, and price is different between menu and your bill,be carefull!
I originally wrote a 5 star review for them 2 years ago. Unfortunately I have now had to change it to 1 star. What use to be my favourite restaurant is now a restaurant I will probably never go to again. One time I was chewing and almost choked on a peice of clingfilm that was in the food. Another time the Ayran was off !! And 3rd and final straw was today when my aubergine tasted like pickles because of how much it had gone off. The lady just came out with a bowl of humus and said " yh sorry its off and we dont have anymore but here have this instead ". When the bill came they had not removed the item or comped it. The new waiter is very up and down with his moods and service and made me feel uncomfortable. Really upset about the decline In quality and service. This was my husband and I favourite restaurant. They even catered at our wedding.....such a shame.
Food never arrived. Restaurant did nothing about it. Lost £65 and they dont care just hung when we called them
Had a lovely meal tonight, Chef excellent, service was excellent. 👍👍👍
Great food as usual. Lovely friendly staff and a family friendly atmosphere.
The worst food i ever eaten.. Koffte was rubbery, chicken shish was rock hard, all bad, rice and bulgur stinky not fresh. My partener been sick since yesterday.
We came here for dinner at about 9.30pm. They had run out of all doners and adana so we could only order chicken shish and chicken Beyti. We came here before Covid a lot. We used to be welcomed by olives and then served bread with the starters. On this visit, none of those. We got bread with our mains but it was not that fresh. Falafel was super dry and mainly crust, not good. The chicken was good. We asked for a salad with no onion or cucumber due to food intolerances and we were told the salad is prepared in the morning and already mixed. We had to negotiate this point to get a separate salad. So, though the meat was good, everything else around the place, especially the service and general customer care is really poor. Not to be tried again.
This place has gone massively downhill. The main meats are still good (we had chicken shish and chicken beytibut the service was really uncooperative (sticking to the "this is how it comes" line, rather than accommodating reasonable requests). Wont bother again.
Celebrating Mothers day and nephews birthday, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great food, will definitely come back 😋
This place is a real local gem. We popped in for dinner and had such a lovely meal with wine. At just over £20 each including a bottle of wine its a great cheap local meal. We had the mixed grill for two and taramasalata . The bread is the most incredibly soft bread and all the food is full of fresh flavours. Will definitely be coming back!
Amazingly efficient friendly staff considering 10 of us descended on them unexpectedly. Delicious food, fresh and cooked work care, skill and knowledge. Cant recommend the place enough.
The food here was so delicious! I ordered the mixed grill plate, which included grilled chicken, pork and lamb. The meat was so fresh and well-cooked. The seasoned bread was also some of the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back here!
Highly recommended lovely owner and staff good food. Cile
Would give 0 stars if possible.Going here to eat in is understandable but a takeaway from here is a very bad idea. The food is well overpriced... paid £35 for 4 cokes and 3 donner rolls. U pay that in central london for good food. Im not shy to spend money but i spent £35 here for a kebab i wouldnt pay more than £15 for and the aftermath of this food is a very upset stomach and diarrhoea. Would not recommend this place.
To be honest personaly i didnt even tried their food my friend told me that its was good and he told me exactly what he ordered.he clearly said that he asked to remove the chicken wings from a plate and replace it with something else wich my husband approved it that he done it. One day I went with my husband to order again with the exact same exchange of meat. The owner or whatever he was refused the exchange saying that this was the standart plate and they dont do that. I explained that last time you did and it was you personally but still nothing. Im wondering if for example someome dont eat lapm or chicken or whatever why it is so bad just to remove it? Gosh.. Im never coming back there.
Had a lovely meal last night at Teras Restaurant on Wood Street for a friends birthday. My moussaka was delicious and my friends all said their meals were very nice too. The portions were very satisfying! The service was great; the staff were really friendly, we brought along a cake and everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday to my friend at the end of the meal. Will definitely be going back again to try some more dishes!
Looked after so well by Alex for a special occasion last night. Always feel welcome at Teras. Favourite Turkish restaurant in the area. See you again very soon!
Very disappointed...the Turkish pizza(lahmacunhas lost its original test and looks, the service...!! Come on guys I am sure you could do much better, I know it’s very hard for everyone at the moment but it’s Not difficult to make some effort for a sake of your business...
Literally, found a PUBIC HAIR in my Adana kebab! Sadly, that had been the second chance I gave this place for an LESS THAN AVERAGE kebab I had ordered months before. I had thought this place was overhyped, but now I know it’s disgusting as well! Enjoy eating their pubes!
I really like this little gem of a restaurant. Service is always good. And the food is always great. They are very welcoming, you can always call ahead and reserve a table, with no issues. If you love grilled food, this is the place to go. The food always fresh and hot off the grill. One of my favourite places to always go to.
I have ordered from here before and been fairly satisfied...but tonights order was missing adana kebab, andchops and instead of proper turkish bread we got pita. In the time of a pandemic this restaurant is taking liberties and this is the second time in 4 weeks they have delivered an incomplete mixed grill..... Very disappointing and feeling cheated out of £63
We just ordered a food from restaurant and was a joke , salad was not etable, just iceberg and tons of onions, chilli and garlic sauce was so little.. we asked for chips instead of rice but who cares about such small details. I dont like rice!!! Nice one. Ill never order from them again. waste of time and money.
Ordered over the phone a mixed grill for a family of 4 along with two portions of chips - total was £50.00.I thought the price was a bit much but gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed this grill was going to be either exceptional in taste or exceptional in portion size however disappointed on both fronts. The family of 4 I was referring to consists of two adults and 2 children (10 and 8). While the food was well prepared I didn’t think it was any diffident to other Turkish grill restaurants I had visited before. I was really disappointed by the lack of chicken and lamb doner, in fact, I’d go as far as saying it was nonexistent. Furthermore there were no lamb chops, how can one have a mixed grill without lamb chops!?! There was plenty of bread, however this is not what I was after and really if you are going to provide that much bread then surely there should be some typical Turkish sides included like humous (something that is almost always offered complementary in other restaurants). The food was good in taste but there was very little value for money. East London has many Turkish grill options and in my opinion you can find better without searching too hard. I would go again if I couldn’t be bothered to drive a little further afield however i suspect that time will not be anytime soon.
Really really great Turkish food, really friendly staff and well priced. Restaurant is clean , not fancy but comfortable... this place is really about the amazing food. Sometimes have to wait but they are happy for you to wait in the pub over the road and come to get you when tables ready
Great food here, always cooked to perfection and tastes as good as it looks. You can eat in and bask in the ambience of the rustic decor, or grab yourself a takeaway. They have also started delivering for those days where you would prefer your food comes to you. This place is definitely a local gem.
Right harsh reality time. The food here is excellent. The service could be a lot better and...and...lastly, myself and a friend did have glass in our meal. I didnt know it at the time but a piece actually broke my denture. I have also heard this before regarding glass. I know thats harsh but true. The food as mentioned is fabulous.
I went here on Friday evening. It’s a great family run joint and you can tell they are very passionate about the food they’re cooking, as well as providing exceptional customer service, Nice little place next to Wood green overground. Good for take away as well as for dining in. Starters are a bit expensive for the quantity served, but the mains are ok and tasty.
This place was absolutely fantastic. The food was excellent and really reflected true Turkish cuisine, and the service matched it impeccably. Very friendly, family run restaurant whose identity shines through to the food, would recommend to anyone in the area.
A lovely authentic Turkish meal. We were served by two young lads who were lovely and chatty and made us feel very at home. The food was amazing - especially the falafel starter and as a vegetarian i was worried about how the food would be, however the moussaka was lovely and the salad and rice side it came with were amazing! Will be coming back here very soon and really enjoyed this experience. Sorry that we stayed so late, would 100% recommend!
One of, if not my favourite restaurants to go to. A family run business, which prides themselves on the food. Yes, the prices have gone up since they opened, but thatd the way of life it appears. The food is prepared right next to you almost so you get to smell what will soon be yours. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is without doubt the best and unchallenged from my point of view. They do also have a new establishment in Highams Park which is larger and provides entertainment, which I am yet to go to but theres something about the original restaurant which draws me back each time. Do yourself a favour and get down there.
Food Was Very Tasty... Customer Service Was Great .... Atmosphere Was Good... Food Was A Lil Pricey
The grill here is great. The food is super fresh and the wait staff are so friendly. Even when super busy, they’re super attentive. Great food, spectacular light fittings.
I’ve been eating at Teras almost once a month for the last two years! It’s delicious food (roll lamb beyti is best!), but the best thing about the family run place is the staff. So friendly and welcoming, me and my partner really love it. My parents demand to eat there when they come round and all my friends have been too. A real gem of wood street.
I had a great dinner at Teras last night. Our group of eight lost our reservation due to arriving much later than arranged but the lovely waitron quickly arranged for a table to be available. The food especially chops and ribs were very nice and also recommended by the waitron.Great atmosphere and staff.
Be careful with your bill. Awful service. We have been ordering from this place for 3 years now. We love their food. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. When the delivery man arrived with our food we found out they had added 5 pounds to our bill as we were more than 2 miles away. Fair enough. But I was never told about this before ordering and on the email they sent me it was not stated. When we called them to discuss they said the information was on the website (not true). The mistake was theirs and they should have accepted it and take the delivery charge off, but apparently the poor delivery man wouldt get paid if he didnt take that money. They are not only taking advantage of their clients but also of their workers. They used to be more humble and amend their mistakes in the past, but this new attitude has cost them losing a client and a bad review.
Its ok for a local restaurant. The food is really average....no flavors, no salt. I been during lunchtime, maybe things are better during dinner time. We got the main course before even finish the starter and it was cold, of course, and tasteless. The side salad was the best part of the meal. Would I recommend as a good restaurant? No.
Turkish food at its best, we always get the platter. Service is brilliant. Parking isnt bad either just a couple min of walk there is a parking area. Depending what time you you visit free parking available.Don’t forget to give a thumbs up for my review.
Me and my boyfriend tried this restaurant out last night as I live locally and had never been before. The food is great, fresh and we were plated with massive portions. The customer service was second to none. Will definitely return, thanks! :)
For me its my favourite place to eat in Walthamstow. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, plenty of vegetarian options. But the reason why it stands out is the service - I dont know how they do it, but they serve you in a non-invasive yet caring way. They are genuinely nice people and there isnt even a tad of typical customer service fakeness you usually find. I always feel very welcomed and looked after. Will come back again and again!
Food was Alright.Tea was even better though. One thing I didnt like was when me and my mate walked in, I asked for a table For 2 and the waiter said we have reservations so sat us at the front next to the grill consequently.Whilst sitting we observed 2 groups of couples coming and getting better seats further in the restaurant.Plot twist : he asked them if they had reserved and both answers were a firm no.That is my only complain, I felt we were not taken seriously.
Always fresh well made food. Atmosphere excellent mainly due to welcoming and helpful staff. All cooked on the grill in the restaurant so easy to thank the chefs as leaving. But dont tell anyone they may all want to go.
The service here was very poor even though I dined there at an off peak time. The food is reasonably priced which is good given that it doesnt really taste as nice as other Turkish restaurants. Also be warned that when they ask you if you want Turkish tea it isnt complimentary you have to pay for it which I didnt realise till we asked for the bill. This was gratting because the waitress forgot she offered to bring it over and when she did we were unable to finish it because we ran out of time. We were assured they took card but when he wanted to pay it was only then we were told it was £20 minimum. So to sum up it was basic food, forgetful waitress and misleading offer of Turkish tea.
Fantastic food and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!
Had a delicious doner kebab wrap with mixed salad, highly recommend it. The lamb meat seems to be better quality that other kebab takeaways. Also the staff made us a free Turkish tea while we waited - nice touch
I have eaten in Teras on several occasion and the food is always of the highest standard. But what puts it over the top is the standard of service, the staff are polite professional and helpful to a fault. Recently I required last minute catering for a significant birthday for my wife. They help me plan a menu base on the numbers I had and really saved the day delivering a hot perfectly cooked me with just a days notice. I really cant thank or say enough about them, that the restaurant is always busy even during the week speaks volumes.
Weve eaten in for dinner, weve had the lunch special and weve had food delivered. Its always been nothing less than superb. Fresh, tasty and generous. The menu is varied and the staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Throughly recommended.
Love this place! My partner and I have been here several times to eat in and takeaway and its always an enjoyable visit, the food is very good, the service is great and the prices are reasonable.Would definitely recommend.
This restaurant is now going from strength to strength, and is a great addition to the local area. The food is simple, but delicious. Just what you want from a Turkish restaurant. They also now have an alcohol licence, which makes everything a bit more straightforward.Id happily eat here again, and its a very welcome development on Wood Street...
