Mexican fare & a lineup of margaritas in a lively, hip cantina with artsy & industrial flair.
The food was flavorful and the service was great. Very attentive staff. I really enjoyed the roasted pork shoulder tacos!
Love this place! The chicken enchiladas are amazing and Mexican beer on tap! The atmosphere and staff are very welcoming. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
Amazing and awesome staff! Thank you Angel. Fast service, delicious food, fabulous drinks!
Fantastic food and a wide variety of dishes. We were recommended by a friend in UK to stop by whilst in Miami. A great recommendation for a great place.
We love the taco and other foods here. Visited for few times before and will visit more. 20$ for 4 tacos is a little bir pricey but the quality of the food deserves it I guess. Also the location is far from the Miami beach crazyness and there is a convenient indoor parking nearby. Recommended!
What an awesome place. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you stepped in a different world with the decor. Such a great vibe. The food and drinks were out of this world! The best quesadilla I’ve ever had and such great variety and different takes on tequila based cocktails.
For context.. I’m originally from Dallas, Texas. This is, by far, the best Mexican restaurant I’ve discovered since moving to South Beach nearly 10 years ago.If you’re looking for a real margarita, try the vieja ricachona.Came hungry? Try tampiquena steak, with a side of rajas poblanas, my favorite dish.As of August 2022, they can deliver to most places in South Beach via the Toast Takeout app.
So far best tacos & nachos
This place is so good every time we come to Miami 😍😍😍 I definitely recommend !!
Good Fajitas, margaritas and Nachos 😋
I was impressed with food and ambiance. Service could have been better but I went really late. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were tired. I will return
La Cazuela was good! and I was happy to find a tamarindo margarita. this place is doing things right and the service also was great. careful with your steels temperature, ours was a bit undercooked.
Closed on Independence Day (my Birthday), but we made it up later in July, with a blast, even a personalized Menu especially printed for us !So you can imagine the team and the service : dynamic and caring...The food was tasty, gorgeous, original and the cocktails perfectly elaborated. The deserts not too sweet, unlike in so many restaurants, even the churros were crispy and delicious, like the 3 leches, to finish our dinner with an almost light touch, impossible elsewhere !
The nacho appetizer and the steak fajitas were excellent!; they were both seasoned well. The borota margaritas were wonderful.
THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT,Sadly TERRIBLE HOURS closes way too early, seems they haven’t moved on from COVID restrictions! You would think they would want to make money offering the customers later hour…it is South Beach!
Absolutely wonderful. This place has a great vibe, cool wait staff, and the food was so good. The drinks were amazing. The food is incredible. Super great choice for those that need more than the typical chain restaurant.
Delicious, great staff. What more can you ask for. Even their cups are pretty. Love love love it here Alex and the team are A plus!!
Very delicious food, the Guacamole was fresh and creamy, the tacos were very flavorful and traditional, drinks were also delicious, the atmosphere with the DJ was awesome, will definitely go back ! Highly recommend !
Wonderful Mexican restaurant with all the extras. A great bar with many unique Margaritas, an ample collection of Tequila and Mezcal.I enjoyed an appetizer of three tacos - one each of carnitas, chicken and carne asada. And as an entree the Steak Burrito. All were excellently prepared. Good portions and very very tasty.I will report later on the Helado Frito.Buenos tardes.
Definitely met my delicious expectations this place after being placed for an hour and 40 mins wait at “ @Tacomiendo” and then having them supposedly ask me for my order that I had placed for an hour and 40 mins by I noticing that some stupid influencers that had just came in literally after an hour wait for me, 10 mins wait received their food which they never ate get attention first. I wish you all the best. But theirs better quality people here at Sunset Harbor… FYI! Thank you for the spectacular service and delish meal! Definitely coming back again, as it was recommended by some locals and londeners expacts!
Food is ok - nothing extras. Our server only spoke spanish so it was a bit hard to communicate with him. Cocktails are good, yet again nothing extras
The food is amazing and probably some of the best Mexican food Ive had.The service was horrible and staff didnt seem to care. It took about 5 minutes of standing at the entrance to be greeted and seated (despite many employees walking around and glancing over). After my food was brought, no one came to check to make sure things were okay or if I needed anything else. After I was done and had been waiting, I had to grab a server as he walked by to ask for a dessert menu. Then after waiting a while more without anyone bring the check, I pulled out my wallet. I still had to ask for the check. The busboy was probably the most polite and attentive. :(
Tequiztlan Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar is the perfect place to enjoy amazing tacos, delicious drinks, and an incredible atmosphere. The service is amazing, and the tacos are delicious. The drinks are perfect, and the atmosphere is incredible. I highly recommend Tequiztlan Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar for anyone looking for an amazing experience.
Mixed reviews. Great friendly attentive service. Guacamole was good. Land taco apps were excellent and one of the best! Mains were just ok. Corn side was too sour. Black beans were excellent. Cocktails were hit or miss.
This Mexican food here is pretty good for Miami Beach, the quality is great but the prices are so steep for some items. We ordered Elote off their menu for $10 and all that comes out is a handful of corn topped with Mexican cheese, mayo, and chile piquin. The service we received was pretty dreadful - I think they were really understaffed. We called to order pick up and I was put on hold for 10mins. I hung up to ring again a few times and the line was always busy. We were pretty determined to have dinner there so we went to put in our take out order in person instead which wasn’t a quick process. As we were sitting at the bar waiting for our food, we watched staff purposely ignore the phones and i quickly figured out why we couldn’t put in our order before.I have had some good experiences here which is why I left a 3 star review, but I certainly would only use this place as a last resort for my Mexican food cravings because there are other spots in Miami where you can get the same quality and authenticity at a lower price.
Some of the best Mexican food in Miami is what the reviews say. Weve only done the Tacos and agree!! My favs are the Pastor and Carne Asada tacos. However, they recommended the Lengua (Beef tongueand its definitely worth trying. Delicious. Im also a Tamale lover, and their Tamal hit the spot. Margaritas... theyve got that! And if youre a dessert lover and have a sweet tooth, their 3 Leches is to die for!!March 17th 2022 update. Happy to report that were regulars at Tequiztlan and have ventured beyond their Tacos. Their Flautas is now one of my fav dishes and their Camaron A La Mexicana is another winner!
Food was worth it!We get in there quick and it was pretty slow so we expected to be attended fast, unfortunately the service is okay but still slow and kind of disappointed for what your paying…The food was great. My 4 stars are completely for the chef.Tlayuda was excellent with the arugula it was a twist but really great!
The food was amazing and so were the drinks! If youre looking for a place with great Mexican food options, awesome drinks, picture worthy photo spots, and super great service, this is the place to be. I celebrated my birthday there with a group of friends and they all had good things to say about it.
Absolutely brilliant restaurant with great food and service! Some really fun cocktails to try on the menu and some great quality food but beware not too over order, the portions are generous! The decor and feel is fun, clean. Would definitely recommend!
The service, atmosphere, and most importantly food is the best! Thank the deities that this place exist so my taste buds can have a party.
Can’t say enough good things about this place! Amazing service, food, and drinks. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.
Nice decor, good location, perfect for a date. Food quality is very good. We had a Mexican type of pizza it was tasteful and delicious. The Chile poblano dish was very successful, the flautas were ok, and my tortillas beef dish was ok too. The price is good for the area, things for improvement : margaritas are lemonade juice cocktail m, nice presentation but no tequila flavor at all. Their bar is very nice decorated but it need a kick. As local I will stop there for cocktails and appetizers But I don’t think I will do due to weak cocktails. They are perfect for someone that drinks one time a week or someone that only have a cocktail once in a while. They do offer a type of happy hour but it is only 15% off. Service can improve tremendously if their staff learn to look at customers eye, eye contact in this industry is essential. It is the service industry. It is a place to try.
Great food!!!!!! From Houston so we know some good Mexican food and this was spot on!!!!Service lacked a bit but I understand they are understaffed.
Fantastic guacamole this is a must. The quesadillas were really good too. Great vibes in the place and nice music. Perfect for date night in Miami.
I was looking for a fresh, well-crafted margarita, and I found it. Both my drinks were delicious and perfect. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was real cute. The food was fresh. If you get there at the right time, you can walk a block over to the water and watch the sunset. Loved getting a break from the crazy tourism.
A traditional Enchiladas Suizas in Miami?, yes!, you will find it in here and so do chilaquiles, the taste is 100% Mexican!!; I was a little skeptical about the place because of the pandemic situation but the health procedures are impressive;I would recommend to visit this restaurant not only for food quality, taste and staff attention, the bar has many bottles of tequila and mezcal that you could not believe it.
Place and decoration is really nice. Service was really good. For appetizer we had the nachos and elotes and both were good and fresh. The tacos were ok, my favorite was al pastor. Tostadas de tinga were really good. For dessert we had tres leches but it was not the best
My family of 9 must of came here on a bad night. Our server was friendly but very forgetful. Ordered a drink, she checked my I.D and I had to remind her of it 20 min after ordering it. We waited on our food for 40+ minutes, meanwhile they did not look busy at ALL. The food runner spilled food on my Mom’s white pants and said he would come back to give her napkins, but NEVER did. My sisters order came out wrong. They added 20% gratuity, when it wasn’t even deserved. The food was great, but service was not up to par.
First time trying this restaurant and everything was great! The staff was very friendly, especially Maria our waitress. She took care of us throughout the meal and was super attentive. The food is incredible! The drinks are unique and tasty and served in a unique way.
The hostess was so so rude. She treated us as if we were unwanted. The food was really tasty, and the drinks were pretty good as well. I ordered a burrito, and guacamole. The guacamole was very good. Ambiance was good, and the decor was super cute, including plates. Our waitress tried her best, but we were very upset from the beginning.
The restaurant prides itself on preparing dishes made from organic and sustainable sourced ingredients. All of their salsas are made in-house as well. Personal favorites include the guac and chips, the pork belly taco, and the Mexican chocolate ice cream. Come swing by after a Giants game!ProTip: They have a special "Death by Taco" sauce that is only served upon request. I havent tried it myself, but it sounds interesting!
So much tequila to try, so little time. Great food, great drinks and exceptional service whats not to like about this place. They also have a good eye for details and those little things make the experience even better.
The food was simply AMAZING!!!!! The customer service was GREAT!!! and the staff was very ATTENTIVE!!!! Thank you for a wonderful first visit. If you ever get the chance to stop by, DO IT!!!!! You will NOT be disappointed...
Loved this restaurant!!! The fresh guacamole was delicious- I love that the guy was in front of us making it with fresh ingredients. I ordered the Parrillada as an entrée and shared it with my boyfriend, and it was SO worth it for $60. You get tons of meat and seafood mixed with peppers & onions on the platter, and it comes with a side of rice, refried beans, sour cream and guacamole. The staff were very nice and attentive to us as well. Would 100% come back here when I’m in Miami again!
They make guacamole at the table fresh! Being from Ohio this is amazing. Food, service, and atmosphere is 10/10. Definitely will be visiting again. Damn near worth the flight to Florida.
We wanted to get some Mexican food, and tried this place due to a lot of good reviews. And there is no doubt that this place lived up to our expectations. Very friendly and welcoming staff, nice and comfortable location and really delicious mexican food. All in all an excellent experience!
Food, drinks, atmosphere and staff were great! It is a bit pricey but food was worth it. They make the guacamole table side and to your liking. The house margarita was delicious with chilaquiles. Good option for date night or family night out.
One star for service, otherwise would be only 1 star overall. but tacos are below average in taste and $8 for a fish taco is ridiculous for the size . Beef with pepper was terrible. Only guacamole was good. Would never recommend. Obviously all the reviews are fake cuz food is atrocious. Easy to see because half of their reviewers only give 5stars. Have a look
Marcel the Hungarian waiter was extremely professional and helpful. Great service. Plus the food, decor and atmosphere are great. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. 5 stars!
