Tequila's Restaurant & Bar - Bar & grill in Guaymas, Mexico
Food was average, Service was OK, no de caff coffee and limited soft drinks. Tables are small so cant get your knees under properly. Overall was OK but probably wouldnt return
Always outstanding. Id eat here every day if I could.
Lovely surprise finding this restaurant,we were on a stop over.Great food 🥑,the service was warm and friendly,if you are looking for a new venue to eat something different this is the place to visit.
Booked on Saturday afternoon 1pm for my wifes birthday with our 3 kids. Food was on the whole lovely and served in good time (we were on table at arrival). Wifes Chimichanga however, had a long black hair in the middle of it which she discovered half way through so she didnt finish (it was the wrong colour for hers). Was offered a replacement Chimichanga but we didnt take it as we had all nearly done eating.Didnt discount the meal so reduced tip to 10%. Probably wouldnt go back as it was a special occasion but tainted the experience a little.
Fab little hidden gem. Food is great and the waitresses Harriet, Charlie and Le Mai are very friendly! Had a chat with the manager Saied and he seemed very nice. Would recommend to anyone.
Absolutely delicious starters and mains. Lovely restaurant, clean and tidy. Friendly and efficient service.
Our server was friendly and generally professional, but mixed up the dishes resulting in a vegetarian being served a meat burrito, which wasnt obvious until wed started our meal. The manager was apathetic about it, which was unimpressive. He didnt offer any acknowledgement or apology upon returning to the premises and we were the only customers in there. Mistakes can happen, and thats life, but we wont be returning as we thought the attitude of the manager was so poor. I simply wouldnt trust this establishment to serve me food again based on their poor attitude and general lack of concern.
We have visited this restaurant twice now and both visits were great, good service and food. What was probably the biggest problem is choosing what to have, there are so many options to temp you from the tapas to the many main courses.
Really bad service and even worse food. To top it all of there is a a mouse hole in the restaurant that’s visible to everyone and every so often it pops it’s head out to say hello. If you bring up all these issues to the staff you will get no response . Avoid like the plague
Delivery. Ordered Prawn Enchiladas, got chicken. Fair enough, mistakes happen, but when I called to tell them they told me there was nothing they could do as they were too busy and they’d call me tomorrow. Luckily ordered from Uber Eats and they refunded the £15.10. Think I had a lucky escape as the thing that did arrive looked appalling.
Paid £15.50 for raw chicken and salad looked off, no tasted, low quality, I gave start for give something, but I dont think they deserve it. I wont ordered again.
WHAT A SHAME!When we got to the restaurant we were greeted by a rude waitress who continued to give us dirty looks throughout our time there! She walked away while we were answering her questions (can I get you a drink? How is the food?), oh and did I forget to say she kept giving us both a dirty scowl! While we were waiting for our starters a server and the chef had a huge shouting match for all to hear, the server than came out swearing… a nice and awkward atmosphere. On and to add the music felt like a pre-drinking session in a 6pm Yates rather than a Mexican restaurant. Finally the food… nachos are the easiest things to cook however, they were stale and the bottom was all soggy and gross covered in squirty shop bought sauce! The chicken chimichanga was at least a day old! The chicken had that old rubber chicken taste and it had been deep fried to the point of no return!Throughout our experience the service was hostile and rude, the food was absolutely disgusting and they like to have fights in the kitchen… I think Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares should take a visit.
Authentic Mexican food, good service. I would have liked authentic Mexican music in the background, small request
Great food. Amazing music. You should have a bigger sign outside. The restaurant is easy to miss.
Lovely little place, tucked out of the way. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was very tasty.
Lovely place, a nice lady who collects the orders. Nice environment but the bread wasa bit soggy for my liking
Absolutely delicious food: some of the best I have ever had. Really nice atmosphere and really great service. I would thoroughly recommend!
Absolutely disgusting… loud rubbish music. Clueless staff, less than mediocre service. They have no right to call it Mexican food.I’m grateful I ordered nachos first. They were inedible. Never thought anyone can get tortilla chips wrong. Microwaved in a bowl, soggy with what could have only been ketchup and processed squirty cheese and three slices of jalapeño. A five year old would have done a better job. You’d get better quality food at McDonald’s.
At this little mexican, you can enjoy deliciously foods.
Great little Mexican place. Had all the favourites and was very tasty with helpful staff.
Fantastic food and great attention to detail. We had some allergy queries and they were very helpful over the phone and made sure our requirements were catered for!Edit:We ate in this time and the service was terrible, the attention to detail was lost. No options for alternative allergies and was charged to swap bread for natchos.
Not worth it!!Firstly they’ve crammed far to many tables in which makes even getting into the restaurant difficult and we had to push past other diners to make our way in, first impressions count and we were left thinking we’d entered by the back door or something. We were then met by a pleasant, but obviously over worked member of staff and shown to our table. The floor staff literally do everything, meet diners, take orders, bring food, make drinks, bring drinks, clean tables etc. The decor and table setting is really nice, rustic Mexican feel which gives you hope for some authentic food.We then perused the menu, it’s quite difficult to understand because the layout is all over the place and was quickly asked for our drinks orders. We hadn’t even considered drinks at the point but felt a little rushed so my wife order a sangria and myself a bottle of beer. We then watched the sangria been poured out of a carton which was then quickly brought to the table where we were asked for our food order. We explained we wasn’t sure on the menu and instead of giving advice they just said we’ll give you a couple of minutes. Less than a minute later we were asked by somebody else for our order, again we said we wasn’t sure and this time a very simple explanation was given. We ordered nachos for starters and was assured it was enough to share. My wife decided on a special fajita dish for main which was explained would come with plenty of veg, sour cream and salsa and I had the combo special. Only minutes later a small dish of nachos arrived. Just chips, melted cheese and spring onion. This meant they were very dry and not really enjoyable so wasn’t too fussed about the small portion size. Our table was then cleared and we waited for our main. I asked for some more drinks and was told somebody would be with us soon. Around 10 minutes later I put my order in for drinks but had to ask for them again in another 10 minutes. After around 30 minutes after our nachos our mains arrived. My wife was presented with a sizzling plate of onions and chicken with a few wraps. I was presented with a plate of 3 small mains covered in melted cheese and rice. I asked what the various bits were and was just told it’s the combo, we asked about my wife’s veg, salsa and sour cream and somebody went off and squeezed some sour cream source out of a pound shop bottle into a bowl and brought it over. We waited for the veg and salsa which never arrived. My wife said her fajita was ok but missing the veg and salsa. My dish was just overly salty, no flavour or heat could be tasted beyond the salt. Not once during our visit were we asked if everything was ok, we never did receive our second round of drinks so I asked for the bill. When presented it seemed a little expensive and looking we’d be charged for 2 starters, the dish of sour cream and also the second round of drinks. This was quickly rectified and I paid in cash leaving more of a tip than the food deserved but it’s just obvious the staff are way over worked. It’s a place that could be lovely but the food really does let it down, and the over worked staff need help because they obviously can’t do everything to a good standard.Happy to give it another go if I see reviews improving.
Pleasant South American decor with lovely staff. Such a shame none of the food is fresh. All frozen or pre cooked fish. The bread course was literally toasted warburtons seeded loaf. Will not be returning in a hurry.
The food was amazing, however, I just want to report that we were asked to pay the service charge in cash. This didnt sit right with us at all, firstly as a large group we werent carrying any. Secondly, we were more then happy to pay it by card but were told we couldnt as it had to be cash to give to the staff. Never heard of this before and it seemed very odd indeed. Just thought this should be reported, as nowhere on the website does it state this, nowhere within the restaurant or on the doors and I have never heard of any reputable restaurant demanding service charge via cash only. Are the management aware the staff are doing this? And if this is your policy could it not be displayed somewhere for customers? The staff were attentive, the food was delicious and bar this one issue we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Sat on an awkward table about a foot from the front doors, theyve tried to cram way too many seats in for the size of the place. There was a constant high pitched noise for the whole duration. Prices were way too high for the quality and quantity of the food. £7.25 for 2 prawns? I ordered the nacho rancher starter which in its description reads for those with an appetite yet it featured 8 nacho chips with the bean dip. 330ml Bottles of beer were all around £4.
Lovely quick meal with cocktails, mains and dessert. Lots of choice and vegetarian options. Staff were very friendly and prices reasonable.
First visit this pm, absolutely amazing place, nothing too much trouble, we ordered wrongly, but it was taken back with a smile, very friendly young lady,, food was amazing so complements to the chef, certainly will be back 😊
BBQ sauce was disappointing as was clearly brought In and wasent anything special. Chorizo dish was good and service was great.
We stumbled across this as we were walking round looking for somewhere to eat. What a great find! Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the cocktails were delish! One of the waiters took particular care of us and it was only his first day in the job ... Superb service, thank you! 😃
We were shown upstairs where we were left to sit with no service for a long time. I went downstairs to ask if we could get a drink. Got a drink. Got our order. Food came not very nice quality. Very disappointing and overpriced. It used to be a great place to go but will never go back. What a disappointment
Wasnt sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. There was a large party there before us but the staff made sure to let us know they had seen us and ensured we were served in a timely fashion.Despite how busy they were they were very cheerful and helpful.
If you go to this restaurant make sure you check your receipt when you pay. My friend and I went there on 4 th Dec. We had 3 drinks. 2 tonics and a coke. It wasn’t till I had already paid by card that my friend noticed the receipt said £70. Went downstairs for them to rectify it ,which they did but because I was in a bit of a tizz and because of it ,I left my purse on the counter. Didn’t realise until I was on the coach going back to hotel. I rang them straight away and asked for the manager. He wasn’t there so was told to ring back on Monday. They are closed on Mondays. After about 6 phone calls to them during the week I was told the manager would not send my purse to me in Hull as he didn’t want the responsibility. So the following Friday I had to get someone to drive me all the way to Lincoln from hull to collect it.when I got there the young lady who had actually sorted my refund out ,so knew it was me ,insisted on seeing my passport and even that was not good enough. She wanted to see my driving license which was already in said purse. I would not recommend any one to go to this restaurant. One disgruntled 74 year old.
Food was nuce on a Wednesday evening it was very quiet so if you are looking for more crowded place maybe during rhe weekend. Food was decent and atmosphere is nice. It wasnt too warm tbh after being outside in a cold day. Staff is friendly and polite.
We’re in Lincoln for a break, so visited the centre looking for something to eat. Saw this, and thought - why not?Staff were pleasant enough, but the music was some terrible radio station. No alcohol free beer, which was mildly annoying, seeing as how it’s so freely available everywhere now.Ordered a veggie burger. My fault really, I should have asked, but I was expecting a meat substitute, instead I got vegetables squashed into a patty and fried to death. Plus, it was overcooked. Thankfully, fries are impossible to get wrong, so they were okay, and the Mexican rice had been microwaved in the bag to perfection.Didn’t bother with a sweet, wish we’d not bothered going in.
Great food, good variety, me and my other half came to dine in, generally okay appearance, looks like a rustic setting.Could do with a dust and maybe something to catch your eye from the road as you could easily walk past without knowing.Customer service was great, the gentleman came across really nice.Toilets upstairs (very small and squished into a dark, confined space).
What a pleasant spot of bliss! I can’t stand Mexican food! However, this restaurant changed my life forever! The tapas was sublime and the service matched it! We will be returning here for dinner on our next visit to the lovely town of Lincoln!
Meet with friends and family. Lovely meal, dish sizes are large. Staff were really helpful and atmosphere was good. Try the combo, absolutely amazing
Very friendly and helpful staff. We had couple of problems.1. The menu featured some low contrast text which made reading small text challenging for some.2. We had chicken enchiladas. They were dry and lacking in flavour. Our prawn tacos were lovely.
The food was fair to middling. There was one member of staff that was amazing and really put herself out to be polite, friendly and really just lovely. It was only her and her alone who made our visit so good as the other staff wasnt friendly and didnt even say hello when I looked at them. The food was okay but I wouldnt go back.
My partner and I had tapas to start with followed by a quesadilla and a burrito. The food was quick and so nice. The portions were big and worth the price! We also had 2 cocktails each and our server (the blonde bartender- I didn’t catch her namewas so lovely and inviting. Deffo going again!
Awful, awful experience. Waiter and waitress staff are incredibly friendly I must say, but I went to pick up a delivery and I waited for about 15 minutes before anyone actually spoke to me, the kitchen staff said come back in half an hour. So I come back in half an hour, and guess what they said - itll be half an hour! Staff were then rude to me and bouncing me around all the staff to speak to someone else as nobody wanted to take responsibility for their actions. Poor communication overall. AVOID.
Lovely cosy place. Very friendly staff. The food was great too.
Had a couple off drinks and a very nice meal staff very polite and did not rush you in between courses. Will definitely be going back there.
Good food and great staff. Good value for money also. If you want to try something different this is a good spot.
This was a great little find!An independent Mexican Reastraunt a large menu of things to choose from with individual portion or tapas style portion size if you want to try a few different things. I would go back again when I’m next in Lincoln
Good food and friendly staff .. food is always up to a decent standard no complaints
Faulty lighting tinted what would have otherwise been a very lovely meal! Flavour and presentation were on point!
Dining here for first time & having beef tacos with sour cream; they were nice, adequate &, messy but beef was chewy. Service was good despite being busy and n a Fri eve.
Menu is ok, however not much of choice for vegeterians. Nice place.
This is one of my favourite spots for a casual evening. The food is delicious and the venue is pretty chilled, good location in the Bailgate for drinks afterwards too.
