Templo Romano in Cordoba

Amazing place ,well worth the trip so much to see great 👍

Historical site can be easily accessed by a short walk from the train station

A total of 10 roman colums...nothing more. It seems also quite neglected

Ancient Roman columns, there is a really cute colony of cats hanging around that can be seen sleeping and chasing the butterflies

Sadly the place was closed when we came

This monument isn’t something unique , maybe because most parts of it seemed recently added . The interesting thing about it is that it doesn’t match with the rest of the city .

Beautiful, although little bit poor in ruins.

Short but nice to visit if you are in the area. Most of the columns were restored.

Super touristic place all the year10 days festival for party people is going on finishing this weekend and 1 month flower festival is also going on here in cordoba . Please visit once in a life

It’s cute! Though yeah it’s pretty obvious the temple and the columns have been renovated.

Visit if you have a lot of time to travel, but if you dont have time, its not a big deal. Nothing too important to visit. 5 minutes is enough to take a photo. Its very hot in the summer so visit in the morning or evening.

It is not worth visiting. A square with several Roman columns erected on it. There is no (or invisibleRoman temple here.

Looks nice, you can just pass by on your city walk. There are some nice bars around where you can sit and admire it.

I saw this because it was a gorgeous and lovely day and i wanted to walk about outside. So, the pillars are fake or reconstructed. The problem with this site is that it is very hard to figure out what are original ruins vs what has been reconstructed . Anyone will tend to focus on the fake pillars without realising that they are fully reconstructed. No harm spending 10 minutes here but dont expect to be better informed about the temple or its history after the visit.

Very nice temple in the downtown area of Cordova. Only a few pillars remain, but the area is nicely cordoned off and you can see the total space easily. Take pictures during midday because the light will beautifully highlight the white columns. I wish more of the Roman areas in the city were well preserved, as they were in Zaragoza, but its still nice. The temple is outdoors so its free. Also, take pictures of the wild cats that make this place their home.

Modest ruins, ruined by trying to partly reconstruct the structure. Fake columns on top of modern brickwork.What fool thought this up? Leave the ancient ruins alone! Make an artist depiction if you want to give people an idea what it was like.

This was a good meeting point with a large public square and eateries at the side walk. The attraction itself prohibits entry on its site. The Roman columns were reconstructed based on artifacts studied.

Not that impressive as the mosque or the castle but definitely worth visiting

A few columns left from a Roman Temple, interesting to see in contrast to the architecture surrounding it.

Roman ruins in the middle of a neighborhood. Fascinating to see among the Spanish architecture. Not very big. Worth a detour if you are in the area. Not worth going out of your way.

Temple Romano was a pleasant surprise when I found it in the center of cordoba city, but its still under renovations for some time now ( what the locals told me).

There is almost nothing left that is real. Its surrounded by city buildings with trash thrown over the fence. Go to the museum of archeology a few blocks away. For under 2€ its a great deal and very interesting.

Its 4 stars because of the surprise factor! Sure, Ive walked across Greece and Italy and seen the big sights. But, I didnt even expect to find this, and wasnt looking for it. I was just walking near my hotel, turned the corner, and lo-and-behold, there is a Roman monument right by city hall, on the way to dinner. Now, tell me thats not worth 4-stars just for the surprise factor? Right now, it is undergoing restoration about its base. It was discovered in the 1950s during the expansion of City Hall! It was created in the reign of emperor Claudius in around 50 A.D.

Lovely town to visit with some very interesting spots but the Temple Romano is rather over shadowed by the courts and s market.

Definitely not Rome with all its Glory.But a Nice place to see.Its hard to conceive how the Roman empire made it all the way to these parts of the continent.Fascinating to see how Spain has its roots coming from so many different cultures.Look at peoples noses and you will see.

Not much to see but surrounded by some good Café-Bars and from there 2min walking to "plaza de las corredera" and 5min walking to "plaza de las Tendillas"

Overkilled by restoration.I wonder what was under the new building besides.More than likely, another buried historical site, ignored.

Depressing. Some OK Roman walls in the process of being reconstructed, with modern columns added unceremoniously on top of the site. Parts of the walls also built into the new town hall.Now Im not averse to merging ancient and modern. Done well it can revitalise old sites and help new generations appreciate their history. This doesnt look like its being done sensitively. Ugly enough I didnt even bother taking a photo.

Stunning ruins of a Roman Temple which give a glimpse of the grandeur of Cordoba during Roman Times, when it was the capital of the Hispania Baetica province, one of three Roman provinces in the Iberian Peninsula

Not much to see here. A point of interest, but no info provided, and all the signs are in Spanish only. All are visible from the street. The nearby old traditional restaurant Tabernas are fantastic, but they open at 3 for lunch.

It was worth a walk over after our tour of the mosque. Nice photo op and can walk back through the city afterwards.

I think it would be nice to see them passing by rather than deliberately coming. But the scenery is very pretty, so it would be nice to sit on the bench and relax.Not recommended for tourists, but if you are on a long trip, I recommend sitting on the bench with a simple snack. Especially at the time of an evening glowing!

Tricky - if youre a purist this is not for you, but if you would like to see a Roman temple being reconstructed, this is pretty impressive.

It has a nice view. The garden is very relaxing
