Beautiful church inside and out, visit the crypt in the back, stroll the park on the side and get a picture of the Leon letters and angel wings. They still have services daily.

Beautiful colors. We checked out the crypts under the church.it does close during the and opens back up. I think it was 20 pesos to go in. The bathroom is behind the church.

Make sure you take time in the garden to look at the pictures and read the history of building the temple. So interesting.

It is a very beautiful place that you must visit in Leon!! And if you have a chance to go inside, DO IT! It is even more beautiful. When I was there I felt I could breathe freshy peacefulness air. Very nice place to sit down, relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Beautiful church, very impressive.

Amazing architecture, if you love visiting cathedrals, temples or such places you will love it. When I visited the Expiatory Temple in Leon, it had at least 3 weddings and near to this place you will find a lot of restaurants, bars, etc in the next streets.

Catholics rejoice. Several masses throughout the day, I think last one is at seven. You give peace bowing your head from a distance. They observe the social distancing and when they pass for collection theyll give you sanitizer to get you ready for comunión.

Beautiful templo. I recommend walking a bit further down that main street- you will get to a bridge where there is great view of the Templo and Arco de Leon.

What can I say?... It’s beautiful! The architecture and design of this antique treasure is delightful to the eye. And, I find really awesome that it has a big space to walk around and take great photos.If you like renaissance a-like places, you will love this place.I think this is the right and first location you should visit when starting your tour in León, Guanajuato, not only due to it’s greatness, but also because you can rent a bicycle from there and, with an app, you’ll be guided through the city for an hour. A nice thing.

A must see in León. Simply amazing!

Nice place to visit in Leon. The mosaic in the middle is a representation of the Vatican. As you can see in the pictures, the hole architecture is really impressive.Inside is beautiful aswell, plus nearby there are few places you must visit: Nieves de garrafa in the corner where you’ll find the best ice creams in Mexico and the same street but in the middle you can try the granadina that is a tipical drink of the area... I don’t like it but I recommend you to try it :)

This church is just amazing! The architecture is astounding. The acustics is very good, you can hear someone talking in front of the church all the way to the back. This is a must see for anyone. And behind the church is the catacombes, spooky and historical check that out.

Amazing temple. I had my wedding there. You have to be nice to the miss that is in the office, this way she will be happy to help you. I loved my wedding ceremony there. The music sounded magical.

A very rare and special example of Neogothic architecture in the middle of Mexico, where barroque, neoclassic and roman style temples are much more common.Its interiors are quite astounding and gorgeous, full of crossed type archs and exquisite stained glass art all over the place. The huge gothic rosette in the façade its even comparable with Paris own famous Notre Dame.

Stunning church building from 1900s this architectural master piece is worth the visit. Just the front door is considered one of the biggest bronze pices world wide. And the building is one of the most beautiful in the world.

It’s a wonderful place to see

It’s a beautiful cathedral that can be seen from a far distance and it is even more overwhelming when coming close. The exterior decoration is as good as interior.

Beautiful church. We also enjoyed touring the crypt for 5 pesos each. It was amazing! The passages are narrow and the ceiling is very low in some of the passages. If youre claustrophobic or have small children who dont like to be enclosed, skip the crypt. Late afternoon has the best light.
