Temple Club - Vietnamese restaurant in Thanh pho Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
Temple Club in Thanh pho Ho Chi Minh
Description
Privilege
Step back into 1930. Institution. Friendly, accomplished people, healthy food and a good drinks selection. I love the Duck Orange Salad. Best in the evening but also very tranquil earlier in the day.
MoreSecond time Ive visited this fabulous restaurant with old world charm. Everything we ordered was simply fantastic. Not the cheapest of restaurants but certainly worth a visit for that special occasion or last night in town
MoreWe had a very good meal and great service. It is quite a large room so can be noisy when a large group shows up for dinner.
MoreVery colonial and stylish restaurant. Dishes were ok but my wifes arrived 10 minutes after mine! Also, we were first told soft shell crab was finished, then the manager came and told us it wasnt! Not the sign of a properly run restaurant.
MoreThis restaurant is very chill. We would like to have lunch here, however, they don’t have a table for eight. Thus, we left for another one.But the internal design is super cool!
MoreSaturday night and the first thing Im told is "we only have a fish and spring rolls"... What kind of pathetic place is this?!Clearly there is considerable mismanagement here if an alleged restaurant has NO FOOD!OMG!Pathetic.
MoreLocated in a side street by the city center, it is easy to reach but the sign is a bit small. With oriental decor, providing exquisite Vietnamese cuisine, very well prepared and yummy, with extensive selection of beverages as well. Friendly staff, great service.
MoreChinese Vietnamese mix decor, cozy & ambience. Good venue to chill & host guest.
Only five minutes from Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Plaza. From the appearance looks small, but when get is different. Had dinner with 11 people for company dinner. The menu is authentic culinary.
MoreFood was average, and I expected it to be tasty for the price. Kinda disappointed. Theres better restaurant with similar price.
MoreThe decoration was great but the food was averagr. And the price was also a bit high
MoreGreat ambiance, efficient staff but the food was not what I expected. I ordered beef and it was over cooked and totally unedible. Very expensive the price I paid comparing to the quality of the food.
MoreNot the best food in Saigon but still great atmosphere
Really good food, great ambiance, super friendly staff and reasonable prices
The food was great and nice atmosphere. We visit there for birthday dinner. And they helped us to make a surprise for our friend. U can reserve by phone call. But one thing i am a bit annoyed was they did a bit push me to buy drink. Moreover, the appetizer is much more than i expected. On the other hand, the main dish is much less than i expected. Haha
MoreCool location & atmosphere. Good, but quite slow service. Most food was fine but unexceptional. The beef Pho was watery. Chicken entrees & seafood noodles werent terribly flavorful. Cocktails were ok, but a few were underwhelming, and one seemed quite small. On the plus side the Hue style spring rolls were excellent. The charcoal grilled beef in lot leaves was quite good. Duck rolls were good with crisp, flavorful veggies. Prices were reasonable.
MoreTC is an institution in SGN for decades. The dishes are at par quality and price but have that special touch which makes them still special. The decoration and huge salon is a marvel.
MoreThe foods were not as good as advertised.
Excellent food. Professional services. Cozy place. Authentic food. Beautiful decorations. But should book in advance.
MoreA great location, great staff and service, amazing food. We had a great time. The waitor was very attentive, and the waitress, although new, did her best and was a great server. Had a great attetude, and we felt welcome eating there. Overall, our experience was great and well be returning!
MoreGreat atmosphere (an old Hindu temple but remodeled as a turn of the century dining establishment with well done, tasteful decor. Had chicken curry and prawn in clay pot. 4 star taste. The staff were helpful and friendly. Nice area of HCMC.
MoreNice place. Small entrance, not easy to find. Food is good, but not super good or excellrant.
MoreStandard service. Good decorated. No room for parking.
Good taste, good service and more romantic place.
The food was amazing. Reasonably priced on the Western dollar. Great service and selection of food. I highly recommend going. Best to book a table as you dont want to miss out.
MoreBeautiful place. Nice ambiance that unfortunately does not reflect in the quality of the food at least vegetarian one
MoreNostalgic, french-like interiors, great place for drinks. Vietnamese food with more classy way.
Moreexllent food and fancy deco. the staffs are very nice.
Nice environment and atmosphere. Serving Vietnamese cushion with great flavor, highly recommended!
MoreDelicious food, best meal in the area. Make sure you book up, walk in not always guaranteed a table
MoreAtmosphere is very good, but expensive.
Good food with nice atmosphere and service! It costs a bit pricey, and it is surely for tourists. If you need some place formal to eat, this place is it.
Morenot as good as I was told, the vegetables were not fresh, and the taste was just on the average level, different with the food, however, the decorations has its style.
MoreExcellent food at reasonable prices; the caramel pork hot pot, grilled eggplant, and tofu side dish were amazing. The service was friendly and attentive. Great ambiance. I loved this place.
MoreI would say that the food is only average but the setting is so good that it makes this venue a must. Very reasonably priced with excellent cocktails.
MoreFantastic food and drink with 5 star service and great ambience which only marginally damaged the bank balance because we had a bottle of wine as well as cocktails. Food better value than you would expect for such a high-end venue and lip smacking cocktails.
MoreWe arrived after hours, the staff went out of his way to prepare amazing food for us, Thank you! Great food, great service, beautiful place
MoreTasty! I was sitting next table where Jolie had sat. Price is very reasonable.
Beautiful decor with chinese influence. Drinks were nice and good service. We went in the mid afternoon so there was no one around but i guess it will be busy at night. Great experience for travellers to get a bit of a break from the heat.
MoreGood place for a dinner with your lover or family. It was chosen to be the restaurant for Bill Clinton when he came to Vietnam a few years back.
MoreTemple delight! Classy place with an interesting mix of European and Asian influences. Strong service and tasty Chino-Vietnamese kitchen. My suggestion is to order one thing at the time since dishes arrive quickly and you avoid having three courses in front of you!
MoreA fine dine experience on the first floor, has the feel of a gentlemans club. Usually full. Nice ambience, low lighting.
MoreThe Temple Club is a chic bar and restaurant that is on the itineraries of visiting stars and globetrotters. Located in a converted Chinese Temple in a small alleyway off Pasteur Street, it’s easiest to find by using Saigon Centre Shopping Mall as a landmark, and those that do make the effort will be rewarded with a richly decorated dining room serving Vietnamese fusion dishes and a cocktail lounge with skilled bartenders and tapas style accompaniments. For pure sophistication, The Temple Club is hard to beat.
MorePeaceful respite above the busy streets. Great atmosphere, meal and very good service. Glad we found it.... look for sign above entrance door a bit recessed from the street.
MoreNice atmosphere, decor is also good. Slightly disappointed with the food, prices are relatively high for what we thought wasnt that impressive.
MoreFood is very good, but the service is below par. Ever time Ive been there, I have been treated badly. This seems to be the place that people go to be seen. If you can stand the rudeness and inattentiveness, then the food is worthwhile (a bit overpriced)
MoreGreat atmosphere, good food, service could be better, but understandable due to how busy they are.
MoreSuperb food, great ambience ... but the service was simply abyssmal. There were a couple of good waiters on shift, and a couple who seemed competent once customers managed to rouse them from their gossiping. Unfortunately ours was rude almost to the point of belligerence.I would recommend this restaurant for solo dining or with a group of friends. Attempting it as a venue for a business dinner or romantic dining runs the risk of extreme embarrassment.
MoreVery nice place for cocktails and dinner. Wide menu and kind service. Recommend!
Went to temple club last night-superb. Fromthe moment we stepped off of the street the atmosphere was perfect. Interesting menu, good service, beautiful decor of course nice food. Expensive for Asia but a starter, main, dessert, drinks and irish coffee for 2 just over £20 a real treat sit in the lounge after and relax. Booking is advised we only just got a table at 7.45pm. Look out for the door numbers as you could miss the entrance. Best restaurant in our 6 week asia trip.
