Basement, industrial brewpub with mismatched furniture, for craft ales on tap and a seasonal menu.
Loved the beers but sadly a cashless business so wont return again.
Friendly tolerant staff..great place for a meet up and good food
Callie was awesome . Made the experience! Would highly recommend
A pleasant surprise. A bit of sport (darts, table football and big TV), plus great beer and a cool venue. Result!!
Nice craft beer bar located a stones throw from the old bailey.
Me and my hungry family visiting from the States popped in here and had a great meal and good drinks. Staff was super friendly, even reminding me that it might get a little "rowdy" for my kids (teenagerswhen the match started later. My only regret was they didnt have a souvenir t-shirt in my size.
Below street level between a pretentious wine bar and a pub with "cask ales" (whatever thats worthis a gem! They brew their own beer and serve a nice selection of imports. Women bar keeps kind and friendly. Their in house Pilsner / Lager is a good hybrid. They also have other offerings including traditional pump ales. Very happy.
Yet another review of this fantastic bar. Dont miss out. Cask ales brewed on site by their own lady brewer. An amazing range of keg beers from a wide range of brewers. Food is great! Always recommended.
The beer is good, the food is good the darts were fun but unfortunately the lady working behind the bar was shockingly rude and unprofessional. We came as a group of 12 for my husbands 40th birthday. She would visibly role her eyes whenever anyone paused to ask the group what they’d like to drink, she’d take deep breaths visibly showing her annoyance and once even flopped over the till in a childlike tantrum. We were nothing but polite I honestly couldn’t understand it, I asked her if she was ok at one point as she was clearly very agitated. It was a shame as it tainted the night a little. Her behavior was appalling and honestly my 8 year old daughter has more manners.
Super cool staff and the chicken kebab was really good!
Lovely pub was a lone Liverpool supporter and the barman made sure I got served 👍
Very friendly staff and might be good in winter but prices were quite high and no where to be if it is sunny
Really enjoyed this place. Excellent pint of Bitter!
This microbrewery is superb, we diverted here after a few pubs on the other side of the river. When we was walking up to it we wasnt sure, but as soon as you walk down the steps its fab! Loads of choices of drinks to the extent we stayed here longer than anywhere else on our trip out. Also had some snacks here which were much needed after a few beers! Will look to come here again if ever in the area...!
Delicious beer brewed here. There is also a large selection of guest taps but I recommend trying their brew. Served with a warm, friendly smile. The Session IPA is very good. Liked this little hole in the wall brewery.
Nice pub offering good selection of craft beers. Their chicken kebab was tasty.
Shocking - despite tables of rugby boys stood round they decided to blacklist a group of girls who were causing no trouble. Food was completely average (tbh terribleand they decided to give us a hard time despite allowing groups of lads to go mad. Really odd
Friendly and helpful staff (apologies if I got the names wrong, Sam and Alex?Reasonably priced , quality food for central London. There are more options for ipa drinkers but lots of the standard drinks available as well if youre worried about not finding something within the craft options.
So happy this place is back open. Had a great night. Super burger and beer combo on Tuesday nights.
Nice bar with lots of good beers, more bar then pub.
Amazing beer, friendly staff and excellent location. (:
Great bar, not the best selection of “craft beers” nothing I’ve not seen before.Great atmosphere, and decor. Also shows live sports which was nice touch for this kind of bar. Will have to try some if the food on my next visit.
Great selection of beer and good food selection. Decor is shabby chic with a good mix of small tables, group areas and booths. Ive made multiple reservations here and theyve never made mistakes and have always been helpful. Bar staff have always been cheerful and knew their beers. The few times I met the resident brewer were great - she was friendly and happy to talk about her craft :-)
Stumbled across this place and was pleasantly surprised. Very good beer selection. Food looked good but I had already eaten. I will be back on my next trip to London.
Odd (offsmell to the place when you first walk in. Beer and service were good enough
looks nice, beer not that great, food not that great either. Burger was OK but the chips are rock hard old!! inedible.
A proper London pup, but without grumpy staff! A great selection of craft beers, which the staff are happy to offer you samples of. There is a friendly vibe, large servings of tasty food and a Monday evening German language practice session at one table, open to all.
Great beer selection, lots of pub games, nice vibe and the beer wheel is always fun. Not such a fan of kegs being all over the place especially by the loos, and quite disappointed by my burger which came out thin and burnt with a lot of scraps of fries - I assume home made. Will try again.
This place is decent. Has a wide selection of beers and a couple of ciders - which tasted good! Good atmosphere, not crazy busy if you get there early enough and good quick service at the bar. We were going to eat here, as we have before, but we are pretty sure a large mouse or rat ran across the floor - which put us off from having any food. Not 100% sure but given the location it wouldnt surprise me. Still happy to drink there but we decided food elsewhere.
Great bar with a wide selection of beers! Super friendly service from staff! Looking forward to returning.
When we came to the bar we said this is strange place. But after moment you change opinion. Temple Brew House have friendly atmosphere, you feel very good. Enormous choices of very good beers.
Bar tenders are knowledgeable and can help suggest a beer to try for your specific taste. If youre having a hard time deciding what to eat, get the brisket cheese fries, theyre filling and delicious. You wont be disappointed!
This is a basement bar, with a shabby chic decor, that is probably one of the best craft beer establishments in London. Its only spoiled by sport on a big screen, that doesnt really help you have conversations with friends. The bar is open late, so you can avoid the sport that way, and enjoy their wide selection of beers and ales.
One of the best craft beer pubs in the city. Been here many many times. Its a got a really good after work atmosphere and good burgers and American style food. A vast rotating selection of beers and they also brew their own. Theres a decent wine bar attached upstairs too if you need a change of scenery. 2 minutes walk to Temple station. Its a funky place and definitely worth a visit
We just held our work Christmas Do here and we all had a fabulous time. The process leading up to the meal was very easy, with TBH being very accommodating. After choosing to go with the Christmas Set Menu rather than the buffet meal, we were all pretty happy. The food was delicious and it helped that it was all at a reasonable price - particularly good for London! It was also very helpful that the staff gave each member of our party a card that listed their order as well (as its almost guaranteed that no one remembers what they ordered at least a few weeks beforehandand they brilliantly referred to everyones food order that was coming out with the individuals name rather than just shouting out the meal that they were carrying out from the kitchen. From the outset, it was pretty simple to set up a separate bar and meal tab, and they were also happy to put a limit on the tab if we wanted to or to give us a heads up when we were getting close to a certain figure to avoid being left in a sticky situation at the end! Im pretty sure everyone enjoyed the interesting selection of beers/ales that they had on offer, and several of us enjoyed the tasting paddle that you can get to see what takes your fancy. The other thing to note was that they had no problems with us staying around at the venue for a considerable time after finishing the food, despite it being a Saturday and us taking up quite a large table in what is a fairly small space. Also, there were no problems with getting table orders for drinks if thats what we wanted, and it certainly felt like a personal experience rather than us being just another group of people to get in and out of the door. Although admittedly we were glad that we triple checked the bill before paying, as they had forgotten to take off the deposit that wed already paid for the food, but there were no problems getting that sorted out. Id definitely go again if Im back in the area, and Id recommend anyone to pop in if theyre nearby - whether thats for food or just for a drink!
Went here last night for drinks and to watch the rugby. This is definitely somewhere you need to book in advance as it gets very busy, very quickly. Great selection of beers and the loaded chips were decent. I did have the taco basket which was pretty poor if Im honest. It was incredibly dry with only a little bit of guacamole and considering how big the loaded chips were at £4.50, the taco basket was a bit of a rip off at £11.I would go back if i was nearby, but i dont think ill go out my way to come back. Friendly staff.
A delightful little bit of Industrial shabby chic. All in a basement bar doing a bit of their own brewing as well! Great range of beers from all over London (and the rest of the world). Lovely food and great staff to look after you. Well worth a visit
Very Nice place and very good atmosphere.Lots of beers besides the on-site brews. Here at not so busy hours for a Quick pint. Many tables are already reserved, but did find someplace to sit.
We are here visiting from the US and love to try different beers and especially enjoy breweries. We went to this one based on reviews. We understand that it is London Pride and the world cup is on but we got there right before it got busy. The bartender had no interest in helping us choose what to get for our flights or explain certain ones. We chose our own flights which is fine then we went to find a place to sit and EVERY SINGLE table was reserved and they only had a little bar space that was taken. We ended up in a small little corner while most of the tables were empty due to 3pm/15:00 reservations and we were there for 2pm. Very poor customer service and why pour us flights when there was no place for us to go?!
Could be great but conditioning of beer here is really poor. Had to ask for a beer to be replaced as it was simply dead and even the the replacement Heineken was flat as a pancake. Disappointing for a brewpub which charges £6 a pint. That said, its quite a cool space and the food wasnt bad.
Great little place in Central London. The beer and burger deal on Mondays is amazing value, and they have a great range of beers to try in well priced tasting racks.
Meals and beer are very good. The athmosphere too.
Excellent beer selection on tap and nice bar. Shows footy on TV which is a bonus. Bar is downstairs and service friendly. Not had the food so cant comment but menu is decent.
Lovely house beer.Delightful staff. Lovely atmosphere.Great selection and a good menu that kills!
Good choice of ales including several brewed on the premises. It has a bit of a bierkeller feel to it and the food is lovely, if a little pricey. Unfortunately very noisy so difficult to have a conversation without shouting but fun none-the-less. Bar staff are very friendly and helpful.
I like this place for my mood today. Looking for a quiet spot to get comfort food at 5:30 on a rainy Sunday. This place did the trick.Great range of beers. The IPA from Essex was very good. Fish and chips done very well. Nice to get chips that taste like they have been double or triple come. The heat in the tartar sauce is a nice touch.
This is easily one of the best bars in the area and has an awesome line-up of keg and cask beers. Its a microbrewery and with all the kit seemingly stacked over the two floors you are genuinely drinking in the heart of a brewery. The house beer (a pale aleis delicious.
A brilliant selection of keg, Draught and bottle beer than changes regularly - they also brew their own beers here too - which you see as you walk down the stairs into the bar area. The food is also great, and the staff are friendly. Although, as with all good places, it can get busy in the evenings!
A brewery on the Strand! How cool is that? A great selection of ales and beer. You will have more than 5 brewing on the spot and more than 10 guest beer to choose from. Great pub food and super friendly staff. With this location, I can now bring my friends to this cool Brew House when touring around Citys attractions!
We booked a get-together for 20 people last Saturday at Temple Brew house and we had an amazing time! The Temple Brew House staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They reserved two tables for our group and it was the perfect environment, intimate yet social and of course great beer and food! I would recommend this place to anyone, whether its for a party or casual drink, this place is fantastic! Great music, food, beer, and friendly staff, one of my favourite spots in London!
