Ted's Montana Grill in Columbus

Overall pretty darn good! Steak was very good and cooked just right. Prices were quite reasonable considering the location and the kind of place it is. Service was a tad slow-ish (but thats everywhere these says). And I could do without the TVs - made it seem like it was a bar that has a few tables....not a restaurant that happens to have a bar section. While the prices are good and the atmosphere is more relaxed, Just dont expect the lesser steakhouse affair of lots of bread at the table - because that isnt this place. This is to Roadhouse what a Lexus is to a base model Toyota. They both might get you where you need to go, but one is much, much nicer. And in the long run, you get what you pay for.

We went there last Sunday (23 of Octoberbetween 12 pm , the waitress in the bar never say hi nor I will help you soon nothing.. we, standing there like almost 5 minutes,,,,,,,she just busy doing something in the computer... like she has her own world!!!!So we just left that’s not the only restaurant there😇

Enjoy a beef steak, but would like to try the same cut in buffalo? Teds is the "go to" place for either.The atmosphere is laid back and informal. Softly lit table-side, and no blaring music to overcome to talk. A nice venue for both lunch and dinner.Have eaten at a Teds in Atlanta GA and Columbus OH. Very consistent.A visit years ago in Atlanta resulted in a less than satisfactory meal. I shared my displeasure with the manager. They gave me cards good in any Teds location for a replacement meal of my choice. Not only for me but for the other 3 people in my party!

My server was a talk Carmel man. He was the best part of the experience. He had a very unique look and was super nice. They food wasnt really what Id hoped for though. But he was awesome 😎

We stopped in to grab food before a Jackets game. They have a housemade veggie burger that was good. And their fries were delicious. I also had a glass of their homemade lemonade and it was amazing!

Was packed. Standing room only. 1 hour plus for a table. Just stood at end of bar and drank a beer b4 concert across street. Staff was friendly.

Cook temp was too high and everything had a burnt crisp to it. Steak was ok and crab cakes were filled with shells.

This was my first time going here and Ill just be honest it was just okay. When the food came out it wasnt hot but it wasnt cold either. Just lukewarm. When I ordered the burger, I expected to be more flavorful. But it was average..

Food was very good. Our waitress did a great job checking on us. The guy that sat us, and the guy that gave us drinks on the other hand, didnt want to be there and were NOT service freindly

Great food well prepared and seasoned. Staff was friendly and helpful despite covering lots of tables. Highly recommended.

I had the Bison Brisket with mashed potatoes and carrots. The Brisket and potatoes were on par for what I expected ( not spectacular but tasted good). The carrots were raw (crunchyjust heated to warm with a tiny bit of butter poured over one of the carrot slices.My customer that I took out for lunch ordered the Bison strip steak if I remember correctly. They ordered it med-well saying no pink center so basically well done and the steak came out bleeding. So they sent it back and the kitchen refired the same steak. We waited like 10-15 mins and ask the server about the steak and I guess they had forgotten it on the grill because he returned with what looked like charcoal but had the peices he had cut so we knew it was the same steak which is fine but should have made the grilling faster. My customer ate what they could not wanting to wait any longer and enjoyed the mashed potatoes and other side I forget what the side was.For a 100 plus dollar lunch I expected better. But Im sure this isnt the normal experience most customers receive.

Beautiful, friendly dining establishment. Staff was very welcoming. Family friendly restaurant. Falloff the bone short ribs. Delicious bison meatloaf.

Was directed here by friends, they gave me very lofty expectations, and I didnt think they would be able to live up them. The Bison filet I had was perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was melt in your month tender, the sides were baked potato and broccoli (smoky flavorand was perfectly cooked. Great meal, one of the best Ive had!

Great staff, great venue, great food, great drinks... See a pattern here? You cant go wrong, loved it and look forward to visiting again.

Food came out fast but luke warm😕 However, short ribs, broccoli were delicious. Had an inexperienced server but I understand you have start somewhere and Im sure hell get better 😉I do still recommend this establishment 👍🏾Visit 8/18/22Time 7:00pm-8:00pm

Soooo Fresh and Delicious! This food is incredible! So many options and what we ate was truly amazing. I dug in too fast on the crab cake. Oh ‘Em Gee was it incredible!I just can’t imagine anyone being disappointed if this is the standard they maintain. Great service, timely prep and serve and perfectly food temp.

Absolutely delicious. Had the bison meatloaf sandwich. Id give it 10/5 stars. Very friendly staff and great service. Will stop again when I have time to sit down and eat instead of just to go

Fantastic steaks and delicious sides! For the money you can’t beat the food here. Even the broccoli had a smoked flavor. Grab a signature cocktail while you’re there. The bartenders are true masters of their craft. My go to spot when in Columbus.

I wish I could rate this place higher than a 5. I ordered a couple of burgers and brisket for my dog who, due to end stage cancer, we have to say goodbye to tomorrow. He’s never been able to have beef or bison due to terrible skin allergies and I wanted him to have a really great last dinner (and dessert because we got him cheesecake too). The staff was so understanding and accommodating about my request for how to cook/put sauces to the side. They wrote us a card and my partner and I cried after reading it. We don’t even eat meat but will recommend this place to everyone we know who does. Thank you so much y’all 😭 Bill Nye the Pibble Guy loved his dinner and says thanks too 🥹💖

Ive always loved their homemade veggie burger, like I dont order a veggie burger except at this place..

Based on a recommendation, came here for dinner.Food experience: I will start off by saying, I wish I had been able to eat more. My god, the food was absolutely mouthwatering. Got onion rings as an appetizer. Me not being a huge fan of horseradish, I was hesitant about the sauce but it was pretty damn good. Only caveat, my SO and I ordered our bison burgers medium, they were a bit more well done than expected, HOWEVER, the burgers were still absolutely amazing. They tasted as juicy as you would want from a medium. I even tried my SOs burger which had blue cheese, me not liking blue cheese, still freaking loved it. It was a mild blue cheese and the other flavors of the burger just blended so well together that I would absolutely order that for myself.Service experience: From the moment we walk in, fantastic service. Greeted immediately and sat within seconds. Our waitress was beyond excellent! She was patient and attentive. Since I wasnt sure what I wanted she didnt make it feel like a hassle as I took time to deliberate. Extremely friendly and got everything in our order correct. The overall look of the restaurant was appealing and clean.Pricing: For our two bison burgers w/sides, two sodas, and our appetizer, it was just over $50 and honestly, worth every cent. I kinda expected it to be a little higher considering the overall quality of food. They do have things on the menu that can certainly make this a much more expensive dining experience but also cheaper options as well. I feel like they have enough options to allow for different income levels to come and have a great dinner, which means a lot to me.I will absolutely be back. THANK YOU!!!!

My food was amazing. But my daughters grill cheese sandwich was burnt to a crisp. Im unsure how you send a childs plate out like this. It takes a few minutes to cook a grill cheese. So if you messed it up 2 maybe 3 minutes and no problem. But you sent it out and served it. No way. It would have been 4 stars other than that. The bison is great btw.

Food was great perfectly cooked Bison Steak. I miss having one close to where I live.

Salmon and onion rings were great but parm brocolli was cold and undercooked. Not worth complaining about a side. Cute place. Worth a try.

We always have a great meal at Teds. I had bison short ribs tonight, they were delicious. The onion rings are huge. Our server was attentive and friendly. We made a reservation and we were seated on time.

LarderRoom...Just a few Bison Burgers & The Jalapeño Huckleberry Margarita at Teds before the King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard show at Kemba Live! Excellent locations for pre-gaming. The house pickles are in a salty brine and absolutely refreshing. The Bison Burgers are lean and juicy! Did I mention the drinks are amazing! Lets not forget the staff, On Point! I will definitely be back to try the Bison Ribeye!

My kids took me here for Mothers Day. My daughter and I shared the salmon and the bison strip steak meals & the shrimp ciabatta appetizer. Maybe it was because I hadnt been out to eat for so long due to the pandemic or maybe it was just the very best meal I have ever eaten in my life! Besides the main meat, the kale salad and onion rings were superb.

The waitress was nice and really good about getting drinks and taking the order in a timely manner.The food was lack luster. I ordered the delmonico beef ribeye, garlic potatoes and parmesean broccoli. The ribeye was a good size, I asked for medium rare, which it was, but it was super tough. The potatoes were simply not good and the same goes for the broccoli.Food did not seem worth the cost.

What a great place to dine in, we were in town for a hockey game and it was our first restaurant on our first trip to Columbus. There food is amazing, we were both very happy with our meal.. The drinks are very good, the employees were awesome..

Wow, amazing experience. Our server Allison was extremely attentive even though there were only two servers for the whole floor. The booth seating makes you feel like you are in your own world. The food is on another level. I had the Red Rock Bison burger. Juicy. Flavorful in every bite. Cibatta bun was firm but very soft on the inside. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Allison, is a GREAT waitress! If I come back I will ask for her! The food was FANTASTIC! Drinks are great and not watered down after the 1st one...we live 50 miles from here and will make it a date night destination!

We were in town for the USA women’s soccer game.We had a wonderful meal here ! The staff were amazing! They all truly work as a team. You can tell they allEnjoy being at work. The service was quick , everyone was nice and made us feel right at home . I gave two stars because the manager tried very hard to correct everything that was wrong. The restaurant was not well staffed (covid Im sure is to blame). We were seated and placed our order, then sat there for almost two hours before the waiter realized our order was never placed. When we received our food the order was wrong, I didnt order brisket, I ordered meatloaf. My husband ordered a burger but the bun was soggy GROSS! He ordered onion rings but got fries. By the time we received the food we actually ordered it was sadly cold. I have to say the manager went out her way to make it right but the food just wasnt very good and we never had a waiter or waitress apart from our initial ordering. I really wanted to like the place but I just didnt. Had I had to pay full price I would have been really upset because the food was very average, not worth the menu prices. So long story short my stars are for the manager not the food.

This place was wonderful!!! Aside from their own unique flavorful items, out of the “old standbys” they still seem to make them their own! Go Bison 🦬 and go all the way!!! The meat is delicious and so juicy. When there I would recommend asking for Allison, she was delightful and so accommodating…. yet wasn’t trying to move you out of the table either. She had great suggestions for the menu too. Even though the restaurant is a chain, it’s not ALL OVER THE PLACE, and I thought the town’s that are lucky enough to have this place should be excited to share with friends and family 😍

The Big Sky Grilled salad with bison was amazing! Our waiter Michael was very attentive and all the rest of the staff we encountered was very nice!

We had a great meal at Teds! Our server, Allison, was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We loved her! We had a bison bacon burger and a bison my strip, both perfect! We will definitely return!

We came here for a concert and stumbled upon this restaurant. Our server Melanie absolutely fabulous. We will travel 2.5 hours again to eat here. Thank you for all your suggestions.

Went at the spur of the moment after talking about bison! I had the Delicious Duo with one of each of 3 oz. bison burger & Angus burger. SO GOOD!!!! I get mine well done and both were moist and juicy with just enough grill char 😋 The onion rings were seasoned well and were crispy. Staff was great, we were greeted when we came in, and our waiter was attentive. My favorite things about the decor were the big fake bison head and the old-timey mantle clock. Cool place overall and you can take a walk in the park next to the building after eating. 👍🏾

Everyone mentions the food first, but in this case I absolutely must mention the service first!Taylor is amazing and was everywhere! She never slowed down, but was pleasant and always had a smile on her face.Michael was our bartender and while extremely busy, he made sure to be attentive to us and make sure we always had what we needed.The Proprietor, Kate - I think the best thing about her other than her smile and cheerful disposition was her pride in both her restaurant and her staff.We both had bison burgers and as always they were perfectly cooked with great flavor! Kudos to the kitchen!!

Actually quite a fantastic little spot if youre in Columbus and looking for something casual yet tasty. Went with some colleagues and would say the bison nachos didnt impress, but the Canyon Creek burger with bison meat was great- casual yet unique. Melts in the mouth, and flavour is good. Colleagues raved about the bison flank steak and the ribs. Nice ambiance in the booths and there is a decent side patio. Service was also prompt and friendly... Overall was a great experience and of you are in town and looking for unique comfort food, this is a great spot.

This place is on point! The food is delicious. The waiter was attentive and fast. Refilled our drinks without even asking. Spacious clean environment. Food is always fresh. This is a place that you should definitely try. 👌🏼

Ive never had bison before....the bison chili was 💯😋😋😋😋I had bison meatloaf.. my mom had salt and pepper trout.... shes been looking for a restaurant that served it.If you havent had the pleasure of eating at Ted Montana....GO... YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED 😁😁😁😁😁

The bison was good but the customer service was awful. We waited over 10 minutes to be greeted after being sat down. The drinks took FOREVER to come out. The wine was served in a big portion for $8 which was nice. My steak was not cooked well done and my veggies were cold.They took it back to cook it some more but it came back as medium well. I was too hungry so I just are it at that point. We made reservations ahead of time and it just isnt a place Id recommend due to poor service. Server was nice and did comp my drink bc of the ill-prepared order. Everyone enjoyed the food and the quantity but we wont be going back.Update: sent out an email as suggested by owner, no response.

Pro:The service is good. Very satisfy with the service.Con:Food is not desirable.I ordered ribeye and it’s too salty. Sides are also way too salty, especially the fries. Fries and onion are deep fried, not my style.My girlfriend ordered salmon, not fully cooked and taste strange. Dipping daises are fine though.We also had a grill shrimp as appetizer. Not salted at all. It is shrimp and it is just shrimp. Don’t expect too much on this one.Overall:Dishes are either too salty or not salted. Service is good. My girlfriend and I don’t like the food. Won’t come back again.

I will say the meals where very good very outstanding 👍 to the chefs on duty tonight. The drinks are fresh bartender even came by to ask about a special drink that was ordered. The staff was excellent even had a good sense of humor. Thanks great evening. A must stop in and try.

Teds was wonderful. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and since the weather was great given a choice between sitting inside or out. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was perfect. A fair beer selection was available on tap.
