Teatro Lounge - British restaurant in Clevedon, United Kingdom
Lovely place with delicious halloumi burger.
Great venue for a tasty brunch! Good service too.
Good food and very attentive to our childs allergy.
Nice little place, good atmosphere with good tasting food. Not bad at all!
Bit disappointed there was no oat milk 😕. Atmosphere always good here though
A lovely place with consistently good food and service whether youre dining out with young family, friends or just having a coffee.
Very nice breakfast this morning my only negative was the place was a little chilly!
Well… I tried to book a table but was basically told I couldn’t, without paying a deposit and pre ordering 48hrs before. The excuse? I was literally told, ‘We’re not a restaurant’ !!??!! Previous loyal customers.
Great food and service. Always enjoy my evening here
Food was delicious and well presented
Great breakfast, food was good quality and came quickly
Lovely staff and a great atmosphere.Brilliant place to take the kids for a weekend breakfast.Let down in the evening by a shortage of staff and zero choice of real ale (I can never get male friends to meet at the lounge because its has the worst choice of beers in Clevedon). Decent selection of Gins but served in childrens tumblers rather ruining the illusion that youve escaped from the home and kids for the evening!
Good atmosphere, clean, friendly staff and food is usually of a similar quality each time.
Third time weve had cordial and water and they literally showed it the cordial! Vaguely coloured water. Friendly staff though!
Had lunch in there with a group of friends Good veggie/vegan choice
Great service and good food. At table online ordering works really well.
Nice coffee. Plenty of seats. Dogs and children welcome.
Friendly place with good food. There is a small problem with parking because you have to use the parking of the nearby shops.
Great menu, very varied. We have enjoyed everything we have had.
Menu is quite a mixed bag of cuisine. However what I ordered was excellent.
We waited 45minutes to get our 4 meals it wasn’t that busy. We all had lounge breakfasts my husbands gf bun was burnt to a cinder, my tomato had hair on it, looked like maybe it had been on the floor to pick up all that hair! When we left we found the kids had been sat next to a piece of congealed black pudding stuck to the bench … yuk!Table 16 wonder if it’s still there??… probably
I visited today Teatro lounge with my friends for brunch and its been a terrible experience. I have been waiting for nearly 1.5 hours for my brunch which never arrived due to an internal error and luck of communication between the staff member. What they have offered me its been a refund and if I wanted the food that I ordered I had to wait 45 more minutes. I had to go somewhere else to get some food. Not coming back there again
Looking for brunch, we felt this place had a good menu choice so ordered. Pleasant staff served coffee almost immediately and then - we waited, and waited and waited. After 25 minutes we asked where our order was Theres been a break in the kitchen but its coming now, 35 - 40 minutes its on its way. Lost patience after 45/50 minutes, especially as we saw several other tables occupied after us being served. Finally, There was a fault in the system so your orders going through now. I dont think so. Accepted refund and left. We felt wed been totally fobbed off with excuses. We understand hiccups in systems etc etc BUT the thing to do is to admit it and explain the delay. We hope your experience is better. We wont be back.
We visited today as we were in the area looking at a wedding venue. Didnt know any places to eat as we are not from the area and stumbled across this amazing place. Has to be the best burger Ive had in a long time. My partners strawberry sling was fantastic along with the milkshake I had. Will definitely visit again when near the area.
What a great place, we went in for lunch today and found the whole experience first class. We opted for the vegan menu which had a great selection of lovely meals prob the best Ive seen. The food was lovely well as the tea.The atmosphere was nice, the app for ordering was very good, simple and clear. The whole place looked clean and tidy.I fully recommend the Teatro Lounge at Clevedon to all.
Lovely outside building and the inside is very cosy, attractive, warmly decorated and spacious with a bit of a nautical theme. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive and our Lounge Breakfasts were delicious even though my friends fried egg wasnt cooked properly. The staff did take it back to do another fried egg but when it came back to our table, the rest of his breakfast was cold! Hence the reason Ive given it a 3 out of 5, apologies Teatro Lounge! This is no reflection on the amazing serving staff but more on the kitchens mishaps...!Well be back to give it another go with breakfasts.
Took family and our dog here last week. Food and drink all lovely. Great service and all with a smile. Couldnt ask for more!
Really smart looking place love the movie projectors along the bar, ordered from the table and drinks and food came quickly, staff were lovely and food really tasty we had Tapas Tuesday, Really cool vibe loved it!
Teatro lounge is one of my fave hangouts in Clevedon, very popular most evenings, have a drink with friend of mine, order from table using your phone, friendly staff decor is well placed, will try food sometime. No doubt will be here again next week..
Not recommended if youre looking for a nice hit chocolate or coffee. The hot chocolate is particularly weak I even paid for an extra scoop to make it anyway palatable. Also served barely tepid even though Id asked for it to be extra hot. However I love selection of tapas here so makes up for the dreadful hot chocolate or coffee.
Lovely atmosphere, very efficient staff and friendly, considering there didnt seem enough for how busy it was!Enjoyed our food and coffees..
Looked forward to having some food and drinks with friends here this evening, but after about 15 mins waiting at the door to be seated we were told these was a 45 minute wait on everything including drinks.. which was odd considering there were lots of tables empty and only a small queue at the bar. Could be wrong, but it genuinely seemed like we were told this to get us and other stood at the door to leave. We felt like an inconvenience to the staff; doubt we would return.
Me and my partner visited teatro Lounge today and have never dealt with such a dismissive and rude manager. We are regular customers to the Lounge chain and normally go to impero lounge in Portishead where we are never met with any problems and customer service is excellent. However today we went to teatro and ordered two breakfasts, knowing you had to pay for extras we added a few on that we paid for, we asked to swap two things from the plate for one thing from the extras. In every other lounge this has never been questioned and everyone is happy to accommodate, proven by the fact we went to impero afterwards and ordered the exact same and we were not charged for any extras they happily swapped anything we asked. However a member of staff at teatro approached the table and told us we couldn’t have the extras as we’d paid for things already on the dish but the extras we asked for weren’t in the dish so couldn’t be swapped. So we asked for them to simply accept that we’d paid for extras that we could’ve swapped as stated by the waitress as they were already in the dish and cost more than paying for the extras they wanted us to pay for. The manager then came over and said we had to pay for everything and no swaps could be done. For the sake of pence to disrupt a customers meal and genuinely stand and argue over some avocado being put on the plate instead of mushroom and tomato is absolutely mental. I work as a chef in fine dining and my partner works in hospitality in a managerial position, this behaviour is astounding. For the sake of asking for two things not on the plate but asking for one thing instead, whilst we have paid happily for every other extra is baffling. The manager was unapologetic. When we asked for a refund he left and never came back. It took us to go downstairs where we saw him running food and had to wait five minutes before he came over and said ‘oh yeah processed the refund’ he didn’t tell us how long it would take to go into our accounts, he never once apologised for the rudeness or inconvenience. From two people who work in that sector we are sympathetic and empathetic but the nature and behaviour of this manager is just unacceptable and should be dealt with immediately as we won’t ever be returning. In hospitality you do all you can for the customer, but over pennies, you’ve lost out on returning customers, so for being so up tight over a couple of pence, although we had paid for extras, it is ridiculous. To stand and argue with a customer in front of other customers is poor practice. I told the manager in every other lounge they never bat an eyelid and always serve us with a smile. This is highly disappointing. And if I were anyone in a higher position than him, there’d be an investigation into his conduct. He spoke rudely, dismissively and argumentatively. I have the patience and empathy of a saint to any and all hospitality staff knowing the customers you deal with and the stress of the job, but to be spoken to so rudely is disgusting. We won’t be returning. This is the second time we have had a disappointing experience and by the same manager, a few weeks ago we both attended and my partner had egg shell all in her food, she didn’t eat her breakfast, no one did a table check back so we had to get the managers attention who didn’t give us any solution or apologise and again we had to ask for the meal to be refunded which he did reluctantly. It wasn’t a tiny bit of egg shell it was significant. We hope you give the appropriate training to your management in future or move him on.
One of the most accommodating restaurants I have ever been too. The customer service was above and beyond. For a elder lady with sulphur allergies they made it perfect evening. Will definitely be going back. Food was excellent. Burgers looked like they where out of a magazine didnt want to eat them. Cannot praise them enough for the customer services.
My first experience of Teatro, a little annoyed to have not found them sooner! I did click & collect and was able to grab it just under 30mins after ordering, which is decent for 5-6pm.Both meals were very tasty, but left us wanting a little more, being on the expensive side as far as takeaways go, 10-15% bigger portions would have been ideal (and that bulk could have been simply from larger portions of rice). Aside from that, cant recommend them highly enough for a better quality takeaway option.
Great food, friendly service but the drinks were less flavourful than wed hoped (vanilla milkshake tasted like a pint of plain milk, hot chocolate wasnt chocolatey enough)
Welcoming & friendly staff. Varied menu, particularly liked the tapas options, was able to try smaller portions of items. A little noisy when we visited (Friday 8pmbut otherwise lovely & clean, tables well spaced out, table service available via app.
Brilliant. Always really love it here. Really impressed with the gluten free options. GF rolls available with burgers... that dont disintegrate! Gorgeous GF brownie. Friendly staff that really make the effort. 🤩😍
Great place to go . Lovely food quick and friendly service and good selection of beers. Definitely recommend the onion rings theyre Hooj 😎
Fantastic twists on Eggs Benedict. We ordered the bacon one and the chorizo & guacamole one, and shared them between two of us. They were delicious and the hollandaise sauce was amazing. Cappuccinos we on point, and facilities too; toilets were the cleanest ones Ive seen and nicely decorated. Would definitely come again if in the area again.
This is our local eatery and we come here quite often. Its great for families and they even allow well behaved dogs. I normally have the burgers as they are consistently good. This time I had the steak n chips, and was pleasantly surprised.
Lovely food , lovely place , heavenly expresso martini. Friendly staff .
I so love the Lounge. My brother in law came with his fiancee and our 3 yr old niece for the weekend and I knew straight away this was the place to come. And they thought it was fab. The only place in Clevedon like it. Great for familes, or romantic meal or pre drinks or a night out. I would like to have booked as I was lucky to get in early but the staff are amazing and service is very good. I do recommend.
Tasty, reasonably priced food. Not beating around the Bush, the dishes here are going to be more expensive than a Wetherspoon, but you get what you pay for. The food is obviously of a higher quality and appears cooked fresh. Highly recommended this place for a nice bite to eat for lunch. Varied menu with plenty of choice for everyone. Great service also, the staff are very accommodating. Hit like if this review helped.
Finding this place was a very happy accident on a day out to Clevedon. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was amazing - and I cant have gluten or dairy, so the amount of options was such a treat! Child-friendly, good service, lots of space and quick service. Its very close to some good shops as well as a quick walk to the beach. I will definitely go again, and was even happier when I learnt Tinto Lounge in Bristol was the same chain! Will be going there too!
Atmosphere excellent✔️Service excellent ✔️Food excellent ✔️A great place for a pre-cinema meal lots of choice on the menu, and ordering and paying online is soooo convenient. Love it!
A very nice venue. It has a varied, large, interesting food menu to suit all tastes. Hot and cold drinks available with friendly staff. All reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
We sat on the balcony in the sunshine, didnt know it was there. Good food, good price, friendly staff.
My visit to the Teatro Lounge was very good. My son and I were greeted by a lovely member of staff and she explained how to order. Our food and drinks came quickly. Overall the Teatro Lounge has created a very efficient way, to serve their customers safely.
Could easily achieve 5 star. Good atmosphere and the food is generally quite good, some portion sizes could be slightly bigger. However every time I visit there is something that lets it down hence deducted 2 stars. The last time was the delivery of luke warm coffee, cold tea, and cups so dirty that when I went to get them changed the waitress had to search through the stack to find a clean one...really?Previous visits have encountered lipstick on glasses, drinks not turning up, and staff that have been ignorant. All staff on this visit were very nice though.
