Tea House Foe-Foe - Tea house in K'ut'aisi, Georgia
Tea House Foe-Foe in K'ut'aisi
Description
Belgian waffles were a little bit overfried but still great. They have a fruit salad in menu, I would really like to see that in all other restaurants
MoreOkay but rather long waiting time, very touristy.Food was ok and prices good.
Lets start with good sides. Centrally located peaceful tea place with very eye-catching interior. Staff is kind and helpful. However majority of teas in menu were not available. Thats exactly why we came there after seeing it adverts with big variety... way better to do small menu of things which are actually available. Toilet needs improvement.
MoreNice atmosphere and a lot of potential not fully realized, bad internet, superb ceilings.
MoreVery cool place. Good food, nice decoration. I spent a lovely time in their hammock.
MorePrices are very normal, same as Tbilisis tea house. Waitress very sweet but she was a little bit off. Environment is very pretty and vintage. We ordered Almond Pie cold tea and Wild Berry cold tea, both of them was tasty and great addition to the hot summer day.Chef Salad was mouth-watering, boiled egg was perfect addition.Belgian waffles were flavourful. Tea House always has very good waffles. Finally we came to signature Foe-Foe crepes with cream, mushrooms and ham. It was tasty, but I found hair when I was cutting crepe and I called waitress immediately, she took a dish and brought us new one.
MoreVery cosy place.Very good Belgium wafels.Friendly
Great coffee and omelettes! Situated next to a vibrant and beautiful park, it’s my favourite place to sit and watch the world go by in Kutaisi
MoreAwesome place with special flair, great food and drinks. Perfect service! Thanks for making my day! 😃
MoreGreat fruit ice tea.Tiramisu based on the right ingredients with proper proportions. Brownie with ice-cream is also good (too sweet for my opinion, but its fine for people who like sweet).Very nice and welcoming girl on the counter.
MoreV.good tea & foodThanks
Really nice atmosphere, decor and music, great variety of tea, but the coffee isnt too good.
MoreDidn’t have a great experience at the cafe. The americano tasted musty. And had a similar experience with the waffles that we tried (one with banana-ice cream combo and the other with condensed milk-chocolate). Both of it was below average and were bland. I came here seeing the reviews but it was quite disappointing.
MoreI had the pleasure of experiencing a tea house for the first time while in Kutaisi. It, doubtlessly, left a memorable impression on me. Perhaps, even, a sense of nostalgia. I highly recommend anyone traveling to Kutaisi to explore it.
MoreVery nice tea house, where on top of a nice selection of teas, coffee, and other drinks, one can have both Georgian and international dishes. Staff speak English.
MoreCool place, amazing food but the staff could be a bit more caring. But overall it was a good experience
MoreLarge variety of tea in the city center, recommended!
We really enjoyed our Teatime here with Belgian Waffles, Pancakes with candied figs, Ice Tea and Hot Tea. The atmosphere was relaxed with decent, good music. Nice corners with cozy armchairs and even one with hammock 👌🏻😎
MoreThe tea house is beautiful place, simple and good to have your tea 🫖, they have many different types of tea in the menu. It’s great place if you like to drink your tea.
MoreWe were offered an excellent selection of black, white and green tea. Even more surprisingly, the menu has very good and understandable choices in English, which is very rare in Georgia.Service was friendly and helpful, slightly off and very knowledgeable about tea.Interior is quite unusual and worth seeing. An enjoyable place.
MoreVery chill place, ideal for coffee, tea or a small bite. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the decoration is unique and they have a nice tea selection. Plus, they are work and laptop-friendly, which I always appreciate in a café.
MoreKitsch and vibrant Tea House. A great selection of teas from around the world including South Africas famous RoiBos/RedBush.I enjoyed the Turkish coffee with my Tiramisu and a good cup Cappuccino. However, I didnt enjoy the brownies, it wasnt not as sweet as I would want it to be.
MoreFriendly staff, very good ice tea and ice tea with alcohol ;)Unfortunately they did not have both of our first choice teas and may have been more attentive, generalnie 4 not 5 stars. But overall a nice experience that I can recommend.
MoreChilled out atmosphere, slow music, great decor for a cafe. Khachapuri was very good, ice tea and ice tea drinks were great especially during a hot summer day. Staff speaks a bit of English and you can pay by card. Toilet has everything you may need and cleanliness is ok.Unfortunately they run out of two of our first-choice teas. A bit more attentiveness from the staff would have probably made us buy at least one more round of drinks.Stray dogs & occasional beggars on the patio are not what I enjoyed, but i guess they come as part of being in downtown Kutaisi.
MoreI had the worst waffle and omelette of my life. The omelette wasn’t made with butter, it tasted like sunflower oil which doesn’t go that well with it and didn’t have any salt. They serve market bread 🤦🏻♀️ That is very disappointing for a place called “tea house.” The waffle comes with a very artificial-tasting syrup drizzled all over it which ruins the whole thing. couldn’t manage to finish it. The pancake was good but the sauce & ice cream made it too sweet. giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of the atmosphere and fast service.
MoreI put 4 stars because we enjoyed the tea. Minus star for the guy that was just sitting at the table and scrolling his phone when we entered and didn’t even react. We were sitting and waiting for menu quite for a while and he kept looking at his phone, I thought he is also a visitor, turned out he is a waiter there. We ordered berry milkshake and that guy made the most boring and plain milkshake in my life, just some ice, milk and and a tiny amount of berries, almost no flavor... may be it’s time to change that waiter guy for someone who has motivation to work? Thanks to the charming girl-waiter which did her best and took situation in her hands and served us tasty tea. The place itself has unique inner space, cozy interior, extraordinary stairs, huge windows.
MoreGreat , cozy place with a vintage touch . The young waitress is very friendly and helpful , she speaks perfectly English . I loved the food especially the waffles and khachapuri.
MoreWe came for breakfast and were blown away by their massive tea menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our pancakes (crepesand the teas we ordered. The staff was very kind and the inside of the establishment is awesome.
MoreSatisfying meal and waffles👌 highly recommended
Thoughtfully prepared food, with great taste and good portions. Service in English and very polite. Do not hesitate to visit, eat, and people watch in a comfortable setting. Go here+!!
MoreReally great spot for tea. It’s super vintage and has a lot of tables inside and small patio outside. I only had the iced teas because it was super hot outside, but everything looked great. Great prices too!
MoreThe service is a bit slow but the coffee was good and the waffles with berries (strawberrieswas tasty. Overall nice place with a great location and a nice view to the park.
MoreInstead of tea and Belgian waffles you can have a dinner here.We tried tolma and chicken with corn porridge, both were tasty.Very vintage interior, many interesting things to watch, books to read.Waffles were to much big for us for a dessert, it would be enough one portion for two. Highly recommend to try!
MoreGreat cafe in Kutaisi. We were in Kutaisi for 4 days and went here twice (once for a coffee and once for breakfast). The place looks really awesome and the food was tasty! Also if you are in Tbilisi I believe Linville, Althouse and a few others have the same ownership as they all have the same menu (and an entire book of teas).
MorePerfect place to chill and have some breakfast. The teas are good, the breakfast even better. Nice view on the Central Garden!
MoreThis cafe is really good. The location is great in the very centre of Kutaisi. In addition to it, its decoration is very good and they have a big variety for tea choices. You can also enjoy some good food while you have a cosy moment
MoreTo find good tea in Georgia its always hard! This place such lovely, great atmosphere, and its entrance of old house! And the mix of tea and alcohol was something new to me! Thank you!
MoreThe atmosphere is so pleasant. I would come here frequently if I lived in Kutaisi. I took off one stat because my friend ordered pancakes that we wouldnt recommend. The walnut salad and tea were great.
MoreVisited two times during my stay in Kutaisi. I appreciate the roomy interior and the calm atmosphere of the place. If sitting outside on the noisy street or in constrained spaces is not your cup of tea then I can wholeheartedly recommend you to come here :Decent selection of tea and food and not expensive. The belgian waffles tasted especially good!
MoreThe place is very cosy and has an amazing interior. The waiter is amazing, but she should have some bartender helping her, because I cannot truly enjoy my tea and trying to chill while I see this poor girl literally running around the place trying to take orders, make all the teas, serve all the guests.
MoreA really lovely atmosphere and fantastic range of teas! The waffles were sooo delicious and we also had the pasta and chicken cordon blue which were nice. Very busy the first time we went but still managed to get a table inside and there’s so many people there for a reason! Also seating outside if you want. Worth a visit even if just for a pot of tea!
MoreBig portions, a huge variety of choices for dishes and teas. Definitely recommend to visit.
MoreI went here today for lunch and was delighted at the shrimp salad I got (with the alterations I wanted like no cucumber or riceand the enormous Georgian cheese plate. I mean seriously it’s enormous, I took half home with me. Both items were fresh and very well-priced. £3.89 for a shrimp salad?! Unheard of in the UK! Also got a cold mango and coconut ice tea (no sugarand that was also lovely. Just wish the bearded man would have smiled a bit more. Menu in English as well. Great WiFi and cool interior.
MoreTook a really long time to get just one espresso. The. The espresso wasn’t good it was very watery and like American coffee. The inside is cozy but they play weird music
MoreI had a pleasant breakfast here. The staff is friendly and they speak English. Only thing I would say is perhaps they could improve the presentation of food a bit more. The interior design is cool and the music they play is also very nice. And surprisingly they have such a big variety of tea. If you have time in Kutaisi, I would definetely suggest you to have a breakfast here once.
MoreIt is a nice cafe, the interior is really exciting! The waighter was nice and the cafe was good. It is good to spend time here and have a cafe, wine or traditional spirit. There is also food here so one can have a dinner. We have not tried it so not sure how is it.
MoreIm changing my review from 5 stars (when I came the first time 6 months agoto 2 stars (6 months later). It is still a nice place but there is a guy with tattooed arms and a beard that works there. And if you ask him for something that he cant be bothered mo make he will say "we dont have it". Then you come again when there is a lady working and you will get anything that is on the menu. So we decided not to go there again at all as it started to be regular pattern. Tattooed guy "we dont have it", young lady "yes, I will bring it over". Such a shame as I loved the look of the place
MoreWent here twice, weren’t disappointed during each visit. The choice of teas is really insanely big. I am no tea expert but every tea I tried was good and well prepared. First time we were here they were out of power and couldn’t offer food. Not sure if the power outage only affected them or larger parts of the city. Service was very friendly and good English speaking, even though maybe a little bit shy.
MoreThis is a wonderful spot ! I initially resisted coming in as it always seemed full of foreign tourists which is not the experience I was looking for. However at night it seems to be popular with young Georgians who don’t necessarily want to go to a bar. It’s the old foyer (which the waitress told me Is where foe foe comes fromof a grand hotel. There’s nice low lifting and the furniture is a good mix of 30s-50s style. I sat on the mid level of the staircase and it’s a great vantage point. The atmosphere here is great and the waitress was very smiley and friendly. In fact this is the 1st place where I have not been met with a “we need to have to local militia frisk and interrogate you” look. Service with a smile is typically not something you get in kutaisi. Some places made me feel so unwelcome I just walked out again (white stones being one)I didn’t try the food but it’s worth coming for the atmosphere especially if you like old buildings with character and original fixtures and fittings.
MoreGreat tea, tasty pancakes, nice interior. I liked the tables located on the stairs. One of the best places I have visited in Kutaisi.
