Description
Privilege
Good food, nice atmosphere. The woman serving us was really nice!We definitively will go again
MoreVery nice traditional Georgian restaurant. Tasty food, good service. I recommend!
More2nd Georgian restaurant Ive been to in the UK (been to several others in Finland and Russiaand can say the quality of the food is as good as any other Ive been to. Very tasty (except for the Dil....but thats a personal preference). The food was very tasty and well cooked. The cheesy bread with an egg was not to my taste since it was with soft cheese / cottage cheese (but I understand this is traditional in Georgiarather then normal cheese, but again thats a personal preference rather than any criticism. It was still tasty. The only minor criticism is the interior lacked atmosphere. Having said that, the restaurant was full and they were having to turn people away who didnt have a reservation.
MoreAmazing Georgian restaurant. Friendly and very helpful waitress who recommended most popular dishes as we didn’t know much about the traditional Georgian cuisine. Food was lovely, new experience for us but definitely worth trying. Our favourite was Acharuli, vegetarian red kidney beans with green salad and also dumplings khinkali. What a great place! Highly recommend!
MoreWhats to say about Georgian food other than it was created as the anti christ of diets? Its simply good food!
MoreFood was great, would recommend to try out Georgian food. I went with two friends and we shared 2 starters, a bake and a main, and these four dishes were enough for us. Highly recommend the meat dumplings and the cheese bread.Service was very slow though. Took 45 mins to be served our wine and tap water
MoreWhat a disappointment, ordered the chicken that was supposed to come with side dishes and there was nothing.Another one with rice and sorry there is no rice, we cant give you rice. Its either the chef was on holidays and they reheated some frozen food or we had bad luck.Last but not least, sorry only cash the card machine doesnt work.First and last time in this place, we invited friends with the idea of going to a special place but the special was only the weird experience.Ah yes, and it didnt come inexpensive neither.
MoreNice place. The food is tasty and they have halal options. But the waitress is not so patient.
MoreHad a great meal at Tbilisi with friendly staff!
Absolutely brilliant experience at Tblisi. First experience of Georgian food and definitely will not be the last. The waitress was welcoming and the food was just fantastic. The pkhali, chicken liver and aubergines starters were very nice my personal favourite was the pkhali(steamed spinach). The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. Will be back again!
MoreOne of the best restaurants in London. A hidden gem!
The environment was calm, the waitress was kind and attentive. We had Satsivi and Chashushuli and house cake, they were all good. The Chashushuli tasted better for both of us, and the spicy level was not much, which is good, as it let the flavours come out.Satsivi (£13.95): chicken in delicate walnut sauce served with rice and cornflower puree.Chashushuli (£14.95): spicy beef stew with tomatoes, onions and pickles, served with salad and bread.
MoreReally good Georgian restaurant in northern part of London. Tasty food and drinks, amazing service, decent price. You have a good variety of food , some vegetarian stuff as well, smell of every dishes that I order was awesome, you can feel there that smell of home made baked bread. If youre from Eastern Europe, you gonna feel yourself here like at home.
MoreDelicious food and very good service. Good vegetarian as well as meat and fish options. The one drawback a very high single step from/to the pavement to get into/out of the premises from the pavement.
MoreGreat food, didnt know about Georgian food but loved everything
Oh my word! What can I say? So disappointing. I so wanted to like this place but, oh dear. The food was really disappointing. Sorry folks but I dont think Ill be coming back ☹️
MoreGeorgian food is deliciously packed with subtle flavours, and Tbilissi restaurant will serve it up with very kind waiting staff who care. The only things that may disappoint some is that the portion arent big (enough for me, petite woman without a big appetite, but maybe not for a lad), and there arent really vegetables (a small saladso its mostly meat stew and bread. But absolutely delicious ones 😁. So perfect for me, but maybe not for you if you have a big appetite or require veggies
MoreGreat wine and food, waitress’s suggestions were spot on! Eggy bread perfect as a starter to share.
MoreDelicious food and great service. Order the eggy bread
Extremely rich and delicious stews, the trout was also excellent, would highly recommend!
MoreI have been with my colleagues and we had amazing time, we enjoyed the music and environment , Asmati is amazing girl , very kind and sweet.food was very tasty !!! Definitely will be back !
MoreFood was really really good! We were served by a lovely friendly lady. So these two crucial aspects of the visit get 5 out of 5. I am deducting one star for a decor mainly, this place needs to come with is into 2022, not stay in 90s. There were a few other diners there all enjoying their food, but I bet restaurant would be full if owners can find money to invest in a lick of paint.
MoreReally loved the atmosphere in this relaxed, but beautiful place. Really nice dishes. For starters we had an aubergine dish, calf’s liver (delicious!and a hot flat bread with cheese, butter and egg (which was amazing). For main we shared a walnut chicken dish, a lamb & herb, and the beef dumplings. The wine list is full of options from Georgia too.We really enjoyed our evening here and would absolutely go back.
MoreGreat family-style food, the Georgian menu creates a heart warming experience. Regular prices for the area, if only some dishes were a little bigger it would be perfect
Morereally lovely food and quick service - food is up to a high quality.relaxed atmosphere on a midweek night which was nice.good wine selection
MoreCosy atmosphere, quiet place, good food, nice staff.
I agree with some here, firstly they are rude. Also late service, if you make any complaint about food or delay. They have no manners no customer skills. I been once and will never go again.Tolma , hinkali, pancake meat rolls all had same field meat. They was not freshly made you could tell , was warmed up in microwave. And price we paid for disgusting food £70+ not even sorry not even explained not even apologies... plus they thinking people are stupid, we dont recognise how suppose to be proper georgian food . The best experience is to visit Georgia 🇬🇪 and then you will understand.. i am sure many of you know.
MoreYou wont get a better meal at this price anywhere in London. Delicious food, really good wine. Couldnt recommend it highly enough.
MoreDelicious food, reasonably priced, awesome Georgian wine, really nice waitress.
The first, and still possibly the best of the Georgian places weve been to. This place is still one of our completely relaxed happy places.Of course their katchapuri or their adjaruli are big winners, but Id also strongly recommend the red lobio (red kidney beans). Along with those pickled veggies, that dish is one of the greatest dals ever.
MoreVery pleasant restaurant, delicious food, welcoming and friendly staff and prompt and efficient service. Also comfortable seating. Havent eaten Georgian food before but will certainly go again.
MoreHomely local restaurant with unrushed service and unassuming but tasty Georgian specialities. Portions are just right and the wine (and chachais excellent. If you enjoy liver make sure you try their liver with onions and mushrooms, and dont leave without sampling the honey cake.
MoreGreat service and delicious food and wine, with good vegetarian options! Thanks for a lovely meal.
MoreGreat experience! Delicious food!
Their in-house menu is a fraction of what youll see on their website. While we visited them expecting an amazing meal, my partner ended up filling up on bread as their mains were honestly just too salty to eat - even the salad had heaps of salt in it! I cant say that weve enjoyed their wine either, sadly... it was a cheap bottle of incredibly acidic, vinegary white wine sold for £22... not a great experience. All in all, well go somewhere else next time.
MoreMy first time trying Georgian food and it was absolutely delicious!Considering there were only two waitresses on during the Eat out to help out scheme, the service was brilliant. Friendly attentive staff.Id highly recommend their Saperavi…red wine, Ajabsandali dip accompanied with Hachapuri - bread. Great portions- definitely ideal for sharing so you can try a lot on the menu.Already looking forward to going back.
MoreKhinkali - dumplings were really disappointing, I wish I hadnt eaten it there. But wine was good.
MoreGreat place!I dont believe I havent left review yet. Sorry, no photos as the food is so tempting and tasty you cannot think about taking a picture! Fantastic steak, vegetable starters and a salad - everything comes with specific herbs and sauces, mostly with walnut and Georgian spices. Highly recommend!Have a look at wine list as well!Love the atmosphere and music and ambiance.
MoreUsed this place many times in the past. Very disappointed on this occasion. Came in when they had only 6 customers, ordered £250 of take away food and were shocked at the unfriendliness and stuck up attitude of the woman taking our order. She behaved as she was doing us a favour, creating obstacles and trying to be difficult- totally opposite to Georgian famous warm hospitality. Whilst we waited for the food to be ready (45minshe didn’t even bother to offer us any water/ drinks/ bread/snacks - just stood there with a face like thunder and sulky comments. Not surprised they were almost empty. Therefore we left and came back when food was ready - she squeezed a smile then. Food was very disappointing. She got the order wrong, some items were missing, the quality was no way near as good as it used to be and some items didn’t smell particularly fresh. I was embarrassed to serve it to our guests but had no choice I will avoid going back and advise everyone to go to a different place for tasty food and customer service. Shame on you guys
MoreI loved this restaurant. My ajabsandali starter was lovely: homely, heartwarming and rich in flavour but the shared acharuli was simply amazing. All of our mains (abhazura, chanackhiwere great, but my tolmas were particularly good. Good wine for a reasonable price, and we closed with chacha glasses. Ill be back!
MoreWe stumbled across this place by chance and were really impressed with the unusual and diverse menu. Everything was home-cooked and really tasty, portion size was good. Service was attentive and atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Ive tried Georgian food once before and this place was best imo. Well definitely be returning to try some more dishes from the menu.
MoreFirst time for me trying this cousine. Absolutely good and worth give it a go. The place is ok, the customer care not exceptional. Regardless, the food is very good. We spent little money for 4 dishes filling two big adults completely. Will go again.
MoreTasty food, reasonably priced - a nice change from the norm.We hadnt ever has Georgian food before, but gave it a try. Each of us had three different dishes, dumplings and stews, and really enjoyed them. The Georgian brandy was pretty good too.
MoreWho knew Georgian cuisine could be so delicious. Not sure about the whole spring chicken serious amt of garlic as advertised to be fair I should have gone for the plum sauce alternative. A myriad of starters, vegetarians catered for with aplomb. Delicious light bread to tear and share and to dip. Mmmmm. I need to sample the Georgian red just to be sure 😋
MoreDelicious food at a very reasonable price. The service was quite good as well - they had advice on how to eat some of the trickier dishes (adjaruli and khinkali - both of which Id recommendand made sure we knew what we were getting. We went with a large group so were able to try a number of different things, all of which were excellent, as well as several different Georgian wines.
MoreFood was good. Service was mediocre and seems very understaffed. Their card machine didnt work but they didnt tell us until we asked to pay, and it wasnt a really problem for us since the cash machine is only a few minutes. but the waitress insisted that they had told us. Well, she didnt and it was unhelpful. Otherwise, food was good and the atmosphere was fine.
MoreThis is a small Georgian restaurant that has real regional food and best Georgian wines. My favourite one is Khvanckara which is a natural semi-sweet wine. (just delicious They cook the foods freshly so you can wait a little bit but it is worthed. If youre a vegetarian you can try stuffed peppers or Hachapuri.
MoreIncredible flavours, fresh and delightful! A gem in Islington! We walked passed it so many times and didnt see it packed with people, but upon trying it was such a discovery !We had the start platter 3, the mushy young peas and aubergine is super refreshing. Chicken liver and cheese bread was really good too.We saw steaming hot dumplings being served at the next table and instantly knew that we have to try it too! The juice of the dumpling is contained within the dumpling keeping all the flavours and goodness! We definitely come back!
MoreThe Georgian food scene in London is small, hugely variable - and usually very expensive. Tbilisi however breaks this pattern - its pretty well priced and extremely good. The dumplings are great to start and they have a great selection of the lesser known golden wines of Georgia. Im pleased to see theyve got rid of the red room from Twin Peaks walls and replaced them with fresh creamy hues. This restaurant is just off the main upper street drag, its definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something different, especially comforting in the winter.
MoreNever had Georgian food before and as a veggie was worried it would be meat heavy. There were however plenty of options for me!Food was simple but delicious. The service was fantastic. The wine was from Georgia and lovely.Id really recommend the Acharuli for starter, though I doubt its healthy!
