Taylor Bay Beach - Tourist attraction in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands
Amazing beach! Highly recommend. Seen turtles and fish. Nice and shallow at some point out there. Nice temps
Such a beautiful strip of white sand on the South side of the island of Provo. I take my dog Roxie out a few times and well get in our weekend workout. I love it when the tide is high so I can swim in close with Roxie and when its low Roxie and I can run through the shallows about 40 feet out comfortably.
This was our favorite beach on Provo. Parking can be a little dicey/tight and its easy to miss the public entrance but once you find it, this amazingly soft and white sand is just as glorious as the crystal clear warm water. Its so easy to sit on the beach, grab an i-Soon-Reach and just soak up the sun! There are no vendors, no jet skis, no boats of any kind to kick up the waves or disturb your nap :-Take chairs, a cooler, water floats and an umbrella if you want to thoroughly enjoy your time there...
One of my favorite! It’s shallow and walk out very far.Perfect with little kids and no waves at allWe entered the side with only sand but the other end has little bit of rocky area (we found starfish there !!some holes inside of water and makes a little ditch for little kid (crabholesbut not a big deal. (June.2022)
Quiet, shallow and warm beach. Absolutely beautiful with the pristine water and a few trees for shades. Perfect for pictures and family fun. We found some bushes for shade and it gave me Survivor vibes (lol!).The only issue is the rocks you find as you enter the water (this is what I missed from Grace Bay). You can see some paths that are pure sand and easy on the feet and will help you navigate as you walk the shallow water. Take advantage of those or take some water shoes!
Great beach. Beautiful colors. Very shallow for quite a while. Beach is rocky so beware.
One of the most picturesque beaches Ive ever seen. You can wade out 100s yards and still be waist deep in water as warm as a bath! Much quieter than many other beaches on the island too.
Loved it. Quiet not too many people
Private, small beach with the stillestwater in Providenciales. Super clear water and very white sand. Just stunning!
Quiet with shallow waterNo facilities.
Nice quiet beach. Water level stays low. Would go to Sapadilla instead as it is less rocky and slightly deeper.
Beautiful. Water is knee deep. Only a few folks here. A little hard to find and not a lot of parking
Very nice quiet beach. Not the easiest to get to tho. And cannot really spend a full day there. But amazing to see. Can walk out in the tranquil waters for hundreds of feet
Getting here was very tricky. Gps was sending us somewhere else. I read reviews and still couldnt get there. So once i found it i had to post up the easiest way to get there. When you are on chalk sound drive, make a left to ocean point drive. Drive up about 1100 feet or so and you will see the on street parking on your right. Pictured here. Fits about 7 cars or so. Then continue walking up until you see the big entrance with the rock wall that has an ocean point sign. You will see a cone or two marking the entrance too. Walk down the path for about 45 seconds and you will be at Taylor bay beach. AMAZING BEACH. Definitely in my top 3 beaches. Very shallow, can walk very far and still be waist deep. The water is as clear as can be. Not much sealife though
Shallow, very warm waters, beautiful color. Little shade available.
No longer a best kept secret on Provo, but overall still a very cool beach! A lot more vendors these days but I dont mind that so much as they arent too pushy.
Discovered this place when driving through Providénciales and kept coming back to this beach. It is BEAUTIFUL and unspoiled! We were the only ones in this beach on multiple days. Super private. I recommend packing an umbrella and some bites since chances are that you will be the only ones in this beach. There are restaurants a short drive away too. The water is also super shallow, you can walk all the way in and it remains at waist level.
By far the best beach in TCI. The water is so calm and shallow. The beach is so quiet and private. Its the best kept secret of the island! You cant find better sunsets either!
Best beach on the island. Water is waist deep for at least 100 yards. Water is calm and warm. Never crowded. Find the public access path and then attempt to park along the road. Just be aware there could be sand fleas.
Beautiful and secluded beach. Absolutely worth the visit!
Definitely a must see beach in TCI. A little tricky to find, so thank you to those who left directions. Nice soft sand and shallow forever. Perfect beach for littles. Warm turquoise water and a surrounding, semi circular protected cove. Ideal spot.
The most serene beach - reminds me of Cape Cod with no waves and shallow depth for quite a ways out. It would be perfect for kids. Hard to find, though.
Beautiful beach with clear peaceful water.Very gentle shallow slope. Almost no waves.Great for romantic walks or place for little kids to play.
Gorgeous, quiet beach; the water is shallow and perfect for kids!
So gorgeous in early February. Not at all crowded. Gorgeous 2-4ft of water in the while bay!
Everyone loves grace bay beach but this beach was definitely our favorite. The lower water levels and lack of waves made awesome floating in the water, swimming and just relaxing. Great for people with children. We loved that there were no vendors but I’d you are looking to buy food or beer head to sapodilla bay.
Very pretty and extended shallow water. It is very good for little kids and family. However, one of the dog seems to pick on the little kids, he chased them around and barked at them. It was kind of funny, but the kids were scared and running away. 😭
This beach is very secluded and peaceful. We were lucky to be staying near by so we could walk to it. Very limited parking, so just be aware of that.As said before, it is super shallow a long way out. So great for being in the water to you knees or hips and do activities. There is a trail at the far end of the beach we walked one day. Didnt go the full way though, as wanted to get back to the beach. Plenty of space on this beach for people to space out, but being by the entrance area wasnt too back for us. We went early December, so a slower time on the island. No services on this beach, like bar, jet skis, chairs, etc. So bring what you need. We had a great time at this beach and went a couple different times to enjoy it.
Wow, amazing place - a bit hard to find but well worth it!! Not for swimming but can walk out for ever!
Very nice and quiet beach. The water is shallow great if you have small children. Must bring your own food and drinks there is no restaurant nearby.
Very nice beach! Not to many people. The water is Crystal clear! You can even walk out a decent distance due to how shallow it is! Not too many people and very quiet
Beautiful unspoilt beach, crystal blue water, perfect for children to swim because its shallow for miles. Walk to the end of the beach and look out to the sea. Theres even a little bench for you to sit on.
This is easily my favorite beach on provo. Always quiet, not many people, shade to hide in, just enough wave action to be fun, but the water is still calm. It can be difficult to find parking and there is coral on the beach, so dont be so quick to kick off your shoes when you get there
Nice beach... dog decided to rest up next to our spot... he never bothered us, just slept
We spent one beautiful afternoon at Taylor Bay. The water there is epically clear. Like it’s just amazing. There are no waves, the water is shallow for a long time, it’s pure calm. It wasn’t too crowded the day we were there which was nice. It’s a little bit hard to find but definitely definitely stop by if you’re anywhere on Turks & Caicos.
The person who bought property here didn’t realize that you can’t buy a beach and make it private. But! He tries super hard to try and fool people that there’s no beach access here. He even put up fake “tow zone” signs even though multiple local people told us there isn’t even a single tow truck on the island. The guy who own property here is just a jerk. Just follow my signs and go past the pile of rocks and you’ll be good. Beautiful beach here for sure.
Paradise really. Paddle boarded all over that beach!
Nice, secluded beach. Hard to find but worth the adventure to find. Calm waters
If you want to find heaven on earth, research in depth on how to get to Taylor Bay. This hidden gem is beautiful, with ankle to knee deep crystal clear water for about a 100 yards out. Many think this is a private beach, but there’s no such thing in Provo. It’s tricky to get to, but worth the hunt! Bring a small ice chest of drinks, snacks and maybe and umbrella since there’s not much option for shade.
Beautiful beach, calm waters.
This is an AMAZING place! However No facilities, no shade, no crowds. Make it a short trip.
Although not easy to find, it is definitely worth the effort to get to! The beach had less than 20 people on it and had the softest sand I have ever felt! The water is perfect for children as you can go 100 yards into the water and it might be 3ft to 3.5ft deep or depending on tide. My children are 8 and 11 and loved it! To find the beach take Chalk Sound Dr and turn on Ocean Point Dr (street sign currently laying on the ground). About 2/3 of the way to the end of the street is a small access on the right (see picture).
Visiting Turks & Caicos for the second time and definitely wanted to experience locations outside of the normal. I was recommended Taylor Bay Beach and it did not disappoint. There are very few people out and its a great place to escape the tourist location! The sunset was beyond breathtaking but be smarter than us and make sure to cover any food you bring, a couple wild dogs (or potcakesgot into and ate mine. ;-Other than that, cant want to return!!!
Fantastic and beautiful beach, though keep in mind, its access is quite limited. Dont trust your Google navigate, it tried to guide us down Sunset Bay Drive. This is now a private access street for the villas complete with private security company cars hanging out at the turn off to ward off hopeful beach-goers. The road you want is Ocean Point Drive. Keep in mind this is also a private street but there are a few spots just off the road big enough to park a vehicle - just make sure youre not obstructing the road or blocking someones driveway. Theres a small access point between the white walls of Sul Mare Villas and a green chain fence opposite it. Hike down from there for an incredible and secluded beach. Went on a Friday afternoon in late April and shared the beach with no more than 15 other beach-goers.The beach itself is gorgeous. Plenty of room, and sheltered from the major currents for some very calm, very shallow waters. Speaking of shallow, you can typically walk at least a hundred yards out and be between knee and waist high water. The shallows are also quite warm. Its a fantastic visit and well worth the hassle of trying to find and access it.Just keep in mind since the surrounding villas are all private property there arent any facilities (read: no bathroom, no snack stands, no stores), so make sure you take a bathroom break before and bring all the supplies, toys and parasols you might need with you as there arent any to be had.
Not as easy to find, but shallow out a few hundred feet. Very calm.
One of the best beaches weve been to. Very shallow, calm, and warm water. No facilities, but also not crowded.
This is a nice little beach around the bend from Sapodilla Bay Beach. Technically speaking, you can hike around the point from Sapodilla. The water is shallow and the views are pretty. If youd rather drive to the beach, some directions are needed. From Chalk Sound Drive, turn down Sunset Bay Dr. Almost all the way down, look for the Su Mare Villas. The entrance, go to your left. There is a path that used to be gated. The locals got really annoyed when the only public access point was blocked by the villas. ALL of the beaches in TCI are public property. You do not need permission to be there...its just the grounds up from the beach are privately owned.
Shallow beach. Pretty water. Not very crowded.
Gorgeous sunsets from our villa, quiet, private, secluded.
Sunset bay drive is now a private road with a sign " NO BEACH ACCESS". We took quite a bit of time to find a way to get to the beach and thanks to another couple that was leaving and gave us directions we finally made it. You have to drive about half mile in a dirt road at the Northwest side of the beach and park at the end. Someone put dirt barriers to avoid cars driving further. Dont worry, you are close. Leave your car by the barriers and walk over them. After the second barrier you will see a trail to your left. After about 100ft you will be on an amazing secluded beach. Enjoy.
