If they look busy, dont even bother trying to get a table. Never experienced such rude staff in all my life in London. It takes a second to say please wait... ignoring patrons and walking off because youre in a bad mood is a REALLY bad look.

Love this place great authentic food and BBYOB. The only issue is it doesnt take cards.

Had a brilliant meal here in September 2022. The prices are extremely reasonable (five of us paid £17 each for three starters to share, a main each, and corkageand the food was some of the best Vietnamese Ive had in London. They have a marked up allergens menu online. BYOB, great vibes, very relaxed.Note that its cash only and you might need to wait a while before being served as the place gets very busy at peak!

Kingsland Road defo the place for viet food. The environment was nice and the price is so damn cheap. Feels like we are back to 2019. I always suggest my friend to try out this place. Just because they are amazing. Pho was 11 and the spring roll was 6.50 so authentic. Still the same favor when I was there 4 years ago.

A canteen like environment with warm and friendly atmosphere. Huge variety of delicious Vietnamese food on the menu. Also bring your own booze. And conveniently close to Hoxton Overground Station and all the buses on Kingsland High Street.

They can seem to read over there. Twice in a role I ordered from here and there were items missing. Resturant wasnt helpful and so I had to deal with the app which was long. Definately not worth it. Overpriced and unless you only order 1 item, its a gamble if you actully get what you want.

This restaurant has turn out to be one of the best Vietnamese resturants in shorditch, the big plus is that you can bring your own alcohol, the food is simple but very tasted and very well cooked .

Avoid the Special Beef Pho...contained variety of suspicous "beef" cuts. One piece was boiled up rock hard like a rubber ball...liver? The summer prawn spring rolls were dry pale and came with rubbish thick sweet dipping sauce like ketchup for fried chicken strips. First time in years I did not finish eating food at a restaurant. Left and ate at Hanoi Cafe opposite, which was authentic and tasty!

The food is good, but terrible service left a very bad taste in my mouth.The older lady clearly only cared about money as she was constantly rushing to get us to finish and pay the bill.On top of that, they are a cash/debit only restaurant without providing you with any warnings of being one.Its one thing to commit tax fraud, its another to be so rude about it.

The most disgusting inedible food Ive ever had. Everything was sweet, sickly and over powering, definitely not worth over £50.

The best of the lot on Kingsland Road. Delicious food. Just remember cash only (there is a machine across the road).

Best restaurant on this street.!! If your on Kingsland road, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Vietnamese food. Their menu is extensive and the staff are very friendly. The service of the food was quick and the young waitress named Anna was very polite and lovely. She made sure to accommodate us even while the restaurant was very busy. The restaurant is very clean and tidy.This place has a very homely feel with a bright and traditional Vietnamese decor. This is my go to place whenever I want to introduce Vietnamese food to my friends. I definitely recommend the Vietnamese drip coffee but on this occasion as the weather was hot I had the lemonade which quenched my thirst nicely. The food was fresh and the presentation was amazing. I ordered the number 51 which was vermicelli with grilled pork, pickled carrots & radish with a spring roll and Vietnamese dipping sauce and my friend ordered the flat noodles with Beef. The food was not greasy and the taste was delicious.They also have another branch across the road which caters for a larger number of people which is great to know if you have a future celebration. Their menu also have images too so you can have visual of what the meal would look like. Once again I left completely full and cannot praise this place enough. I used to order from Tay Do regularly over the last few years and always enjoyed the pho and bun dishes. My most recent pho order was disappointing - it came with a small meat portion with only one beef ball, and tough and overcooked rare steak. On top of that, the beansprouts had obviously gone off and were completely inedible, not to mention unsafe to eat. Will not be ordering from here again.

Usually go to Tay Do restaurant (the bigger oneonce a month - the food and service is always 10/10! Great value for money and lots of amazing Vietnamese food on the menu

Best Vietnamese in Hoxton! Unbelievably tasty pork that was perfectly crisp. Great flavour and wonderful noodles. Can’t wait to go back

My favourite Vietnamese food is fast delicious and authentic. Its a BYO and they only charge corkage on Saturday night. Its a little tight with the tables but we enjoy the odd chat with our neighbour diner. Order the salt pepper and chilli squid its devine!

Poorly staffed on a Sunday evening with one server apparently. Seafood soup I ordered was very bland and desperately needed some chill and soya sauce before it could say anything to my taste buds. Was annoyed that it took so long for condiments to arrive by which time soup was getting cold.

Helpful and enthusiastic staff and serving units quite late of the day.However, sadly, the pho I ordered was quite disappointing. It literally had no flavour. The broth was so flat and tasteless, and the beef was a little bit hard to chew.

I left 2* one year ago and after visiting again yesterday it hasnt improved. It may actually be worse. The food made me sick. The restaurant is so cramped people have to get up for you to walk to your seat or the toilet or outside to buy drinks because they dont serve drinks... Downgrading to 1*. I usually love seafood but honestly Im not too sure what we were even eating. Also the waitress was extremely miserable.One more wonderful thing, its cash only. Who carries cash nowadays? I didnt even have a card as I pay with my phone using Google pay so had to ask a friend to get cash for me and send her the money. Ridiculous. Clearly a tax fraud of some kind. Should make it clear before you even sit down or order the waitress should stress this.

Honestly, I didnt enjoy the taste of the food at all. The red sauce for summer roll was good but the roll wasnt so nice. The second one was good but too oily. The one I got, number 51 wasnt good at all.I asked for water, but she didnt answer and turned right away after putting dishes, so I wasnt sure if she heard it.Cash only. Fortunately, I had cash but they didnt let us know before ordering.I saw similar review down here and totally agree. Disappointing :(

Cant fault this restaurant. More of a canteen style, hence cafe. Food is fresh, service fast. Prices ok for the location. Most food is authentic. I can think of one other place where it is more authentic than this place. On a street that is fast being hipsterised with wanna be Vietnamese joints this is a really good place for old schoo authentic meal.

I love this place! The food is always amazing, reasonably priced (the only ‘inconvenience’ for some would be that is cash only - there is a Sainsburys cash point on the other side of the road though). Last Sunday we’ve been there again after a whole year and this time we invited our family too. They all loved it and we were all stuffed by the end of the evening. ☺️ Visited the restaurant a few times already and it never disappointed us!

Delicious and very affordable vietnamese food. The vegetarian sharing platter for starter was great. The pho is huge and really really good. Friendly service. Its BYOB and cash only.

I ordered a Supe Bun Bô Hue. The soup just tasted like water and was tasteless!Prices are much too high for the quality! You could not pay with cash either. HUGE portions. Very authentic taste from what I’ve had in Vietnam. Expansive menu, for both plant-based and non plant-based customers. Quick and efficient service.Definitely come here if you want banging Vietnamese food at a great price.

We really like the Salt and pepper 🌶️ Squid 🐙. Pho soup noodle was fine, the beef is a bit hard to chew😅, big portion though.5 🌟 for quick service and salt & pepper squid 😋

Fresh food, great quality and reasonable price. Not many Vietnamese restaurants in London serve “Nem Nuong” Char-grilled pork patties with rice paper and salad, this place make it good! Vietnamese ice coffee should be first choice to order if you’re in love coffee.

Ordered a fried rice via Deliveroo , and instead I got risotto. The rice was beyond mushy and tasted a little stale, with loads of MSG to mask the bad cooking. Very bad and never ordering from here again!

Absolutely terrible! Avoid! This makes me so angry! Never has there been a Vietnamese restaurant on Kingsland road that was this appalling in my 14 years in the area. Ordered via Deliveroo delivery during Covid. The spring roll skin was awful. My filling hurt when I bit into it, because it was stale and it had hardened! The Vietnamese omelette batter was also beyond bad, with the flour disintegrating in your mouth like uncooked cake mix, which all 3 of us had to spit out!!I can go on... the Pho, herbs came unwashed with bits of mud on the leaves of the coriander, soup was very oily, rare beef flank turned up overcooked, dark brown, thin slivers of see-thru paper thin strips that were slightly dehydrated, if that were possible in a noodle soup! Noodles were so soft and slippery that neither chopstick nor fork could get it in ones mouth. Everything that could go wrong....has! I will never again waste my money here when there are so many other decent Vietnamese businesses that deserve to be called a restaurant!

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant near old Street and Shoreditch. You can bring your own booze, food is delicious and prices are very reasonable.

Great restaurant with a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes at reasonable price with excellent service. You can bring your own wine to share with your friends and/or loved ones. Its quite convenient as it is near Hoxton station and on a number of local bus route... and within walking distance to Geffrye Museum

My all time fav restaurant in London. Love their aubergine dish - the one with fish sauce. Generous portions and no other words needed. Just so tasty. My mouth is watering just thinking of the food I had there. 🤤

One of the better Bun Bo Hues (BBHin London, the restaurant is spacious and doesnt need booking. Wait staff is polite and friendly. I ordered the BunBoHue and the Vietnamese Spring rolls, the BBH was genuinely spicy, like its meant to be, portion is generous and flavoursome. The coconut juice tasted alittle watered down but effective against the spicy noodle.

Casual no frills tasty Vietnamese food. Generous portions with lots of herbs and vegetables. Starters well done, pho and vermicelli were both very tasty. Value for money

A gem of the area, a must try! An authentic Sai Gon Vietnamese food experience, served in a slightly more modern style. Great menu options, great food, amazing price.

Vietnamese restaurant offering good value for money. In the some ways similar to Cafe East but different options, for example the fried sea bream (which was lovely).

Such a lovely place, warm and friendly. Waiters are smiley, food is fantastic, salt n pepper prawns are a MUST try! Lots to enjoy. We tried a couple of other restaurents nearby and this is the favourite.

Great place. I just love this restaurant. Down to earth decor and service fit for a king. You guys have GOT to try the house platter, Im Jewish but even I cant resist the vietnamese style pork ribs baruch hashem! The pho is simply divine , I havent had such a good bowl outside of Saigon before I came here. And omg the shaken beef , yum! A must go!

Pretty good, however missing a good amount mint and herbs in my vermicelli bowl. Spring rolls were delicious. Authentic Viet desserts missing from the menu which was disappointing. Service overall was good.

Rather unimpressed. Food was ok but nothing special. Didnt have too much flavor actually. The staff wasnt incredibly friendly either. Will try a different place next time I am in the area.

Had the Hi Tieu and Cha Gio. Huge portions couldnt finish my entree. Will come back to try the Pho because they had the roasted chilli oil!

The food was delicious. Portions were good. The staff were nice. The only down side I can think of is that they don’t have a meal deal unlike the other Vietnamese place I’ve been to before. I paid £9.50 for one dish.
