Taverna Otto - Restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia
Had a fish fillet which was amazing. Service is exceptional, you feel welcomed the moment you pass the doors. There is also a 20% discount between 2 and 6 PM.
Food with a good idea bat bad realisation. Service was, lets say unusual. But not good. House wine prety expensive. Not to recomend.
This was great place to eat fishfillet. Food was really tasty and in october there were not so many people. Pannacotta was allso very good as desert. Absolutely worth visiting.
A bit unflexible but always polite staff. We wanted to have a salad instead of chips and it was refused even we wanted ro pay 4 it. So we ordered extra salad and had chips even we didnt want them. Waste of food and recources in a time of climate change.
We escaped from the very expensive old town and went for dinner here. Few things but done properly and normal prices with very fast service. I suggest you to come here!
The starter was fantastic, a selection of different meats I would really recommend that. However the main course was a let down. My partner ordered the seabass, except it was more bone and skin then actual fish, and my salmon came in a plastic bag swimming in a pool of veg and unflavoured broth. Definitely not value for money especially when there are so many better restaurants in the area and within the old town for the same price!
I enjoyed every meal here. Nice restaurant, courteous staff, I can only recommend.
Nice dinner. Pleasant staff. Veal cheeks particularly tasty.
Excellent food and service the veal cheeks were amazing. Highly recommended! We showed up without a reservation at around 7.30 pm, they were able to give us a table out on the terrace, it was busy but the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, we were able to relax and enjoy the evening.
The food was fine. I wouldnt say its the best you can get in Dubrovnik but if you are around and youre looking for a place. It has a little terrace and its nice for a date. Some staff are super nice. Some are kind of ignoring you but its fine overall. The pasta was a starter but I personally wasnt a great fan. My partner had the fish and quite liked it.
I have been to this amazing restaurant with my boyfriend for a romantic dinner. What a great choice! We had 2 first courses and 2 main courses. Everything was delicious but my absolute favorite dish was fresh tagliatelle with meat.We ended our dinner with two chocolate soufflé and vanilla ice cream. The staff is very kind and helpful and the owner is such a nice and friendly person. Can’t wait to be back!
Came here for dinner for our last 2 nights in dubrovnik. Cannot recommend this place enough, I would give it 6 stars if I could. The service is great with funny and friendly waiters. The food was cooked very well and the flavours are fantastic. It was all very reasonably priced as well.
A bit overrated.Staff is friendly, but not flexible. We tried to get a smaller portion of a main dish for a starter - impossible.Pasta was very good. Fish average, a bit boring. Octopus stew was in our opinion really bad. Quality of the products was good, but the stew had a strange taste. Like they added too much vinegar or something. Maybe it was just not our taste.
Thank you to the Scottish man that recomended this!! Everything was delicious and the service warmed your heart and made you feel like you were in a local restaurant. Also sit on the terrace!
Lovely little restaurant by the main port, a great escape from the busy and overly ‘touristy’ old town. The prices are comparable to that of the old town but the food and service is far better! We visited twice, topping and tailing out trip. I had the tuna and the veal cheeks, both amazing, the veal melted in the mouth. The staff are fantastic, really welcoming and friendly and they work phenomenally hard to make sure everyone is looked after. Highly recommend but do make sure to book in advance, they get very busy!
A lovely restaurant serving consistently good food (we visited twice!). Located near the port (so a nice escape from the old townand well with visiting. I ate tuna, which was perfectly cooked - my partner had veal cheeks which melted in the mouth. The food was great on both visits, and the staff are all really friendly and work hard to ensure their guests are well looked after. The prices are comparable to those that we experienced in the old town, however the food and service was far better. Be sure to book a table in advance, it gets busy!!
Good place to eat, they have an amazing lava cake for dessert. However, we didnt love our meat as a lunch (Angus and T-bone).The is reasonable and deserve a shot if you are nearby.
Dropped across this lovely restaurant after googling places to eat in lapad. What can I say, what an amazing place. Quaint with quality. we didn’t have a reservation but it wasn’t an issue. We opted to sit outside (it was raining but there is undercover areaas inside is very compact. The food was divine. Being by the sea you have to have fish and it was fantastic. Well cooked and well presented. As a dessert we had the local cheese board with honey. We didn’t thing that cheese and honey would go together but wow, an amazing combination textures and tastes. Definitely recommend visiting. It’s not cheap but you pay for what you get.....
Excellent food, very nice decoration. The waiter was perfect, he knows all wines served there. We had a sea bass and octopus stew, taste was phenomenal, presentstion great.Small menu and everything fresh, dishes are composed thoughtful and appealing. We will come back 😁
It was a very good place for a lunch, portions were good enough and it was very tasty, in particular chocolate fondant which was really delicious. We also had a charming waiter, smiling and joking with us. I recommend this restaurant.
They serve the best seabass and local wines! The dessert was also very tasty, and a croatian brandy with hazelnut- flavour is worth a try! The waiter was very observant and polite, and also had good knowledge about the wine. In high- season you should book your table one week in advance.
An intimate venue with friendly, welcoming staff and delicious food. I had the sea bass and beans, everything was cooked to perfection, just the right balance of flavours and not over seasoned : My partner had the tuna steak which was cooked exactly to his liking and the mashed bean mix that accompanied the dish was divine! We returned for lunch the next day and had the lamb pasta, veal cheeks and meat board, all were divine! Such pleasant staff :)
I’d rate it 7 stars if I could, amazing food, actual hospitality and amazing stories from the boss/owner, handsome chef staring through the kitchen window, will be back for sure.
This place has excellent food. We ordered the ceviche app, papardelle and mussels and all were expertly prepared. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. It was our best meal in Dubrovnik over the sea of mediocre tourist places and for a decent price. We wanted to come back for dinner but could not fit it in.
I love this place. Its got a great look on the inside, very cosy. Excellent staff and even better food. They were playing Ella Fitzgerald and similar music which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. I will be back!I am no cheese expert but the cheese board was very good. The honey and cheese paired very well. I do think its too much cheese for one person though unless you are a cheese fanatic. It came with 9 slices. The marinated shrimp and sea bass were tasty, reminded me a little bit of ceviche (it was actually rung up as this on the bill). It was a nice mix with the onions, peppers and other things I dont know the name of. The main event though was the lamb. It was cooked perfectly and came in an great sauce. It tasted even better than I imagined when reading it on the menu. You cant go wrong getting it!
Excellent food and service in Dubrovnik. The owner was very inviting and had excellent suggestions, particularly for wine. If youre in Dubrovnik I recommend checking this place out. See if you can get a spot on the back patio during the warmer weather.
Wonderful restaurant with mediterian food. Chef of this restaurant has a passion to make a small experiments and create art on the plate. I had tuma steak and it was amazing. And onion soup is like must when you visit this taverna. They serve a local Dubrovnik browsery beer.Restaurant has two sectors- inside one with airco and outside one with view on Dubrovnik mountain.Prices are very reasonable for Dubrovnik so you can have a lunch for two with drinks below 400 Kunas.
Seriously delicious food that is reasonably priced. The service is great and the wine is top notch. Highly recommended. So much so we went there twice!
Before my trip to Dubrovnik, I saw some photos from this restaurant on Instagram and decided that I had to go there during my stay. I can say one thing - going there was SO worth it.The place is located near Gruz port, so its further from Old Town, and much more quiet area. The restaurant was full at around 21:00 and the minute we entered and saw the food come out from the kitchen we knew its going to be a good dinner :)We ordered the Chicken liver parfait and Garden Salad for the first courses and the Pork ribs and Tuna steak for the main courses.Everything was perfect, food was fresh and made the properly, and the Tuna steak was DIVINE!The service was also very welcoming and attentive. We had a great time, so I definitely recommend to visit this restaurant when youre in Dubrovnik!
Perfect food and great service! Very nice and cosy place for dinner. If you’re in Dubrovnik you have to visit this place!
We had a lovely meal here tonight! Standout was the chicken liver pate and the slow cooked veal cheeks...
Cozy place, perfect for friends, family and couples, especially in the evening, with low lights and a little candle on the table. Food is well served and cooked deliciously. I ate "pasta al ragù di agnello" and It was really tasty and just like italian plates, or even better. Dessert was nice too, panna cotta and chocolate was good but too tasty.
This restaurant was near my accommodation and I had dinner late here solo on my first night without a reservation (Saturday). The staff were extremely nice and courteous. The food was delicious and well priced. I would definitely go back.
Amazing surprise. I had the marinated sea bass and prawns starter and the Tuna steak. Both excellent. I really recommend the place.Great service too.
Delicious ribs! Price is reasonable in Dubrovnik and the service is good. The chocolate fondant is a hidden gem !
This is a great place for both lunch and dinner. If you wan to escape the crows from the Old Town in Dubrovnik and have a quite and delicious meal this is the place for you. The food is really good; I personally recommend the Tuna steak, its excellent. The owner is super friendly and will make sure you have a great dining experience. I did not try the dessert, but I can tell you that the coffee was also great!
Absolutely magnificent food! The lamb ragou with homemade pasta is to die for! My mother said her sea bass fish fillet was the best fish she has ever eaten! No vegetarian options though.
Atmospheres good, staffs are nice.... foods are mildly goodIm giving -1 star because of the pointless 20 minutes wait. Theres been a lot of free table and we were told to wait outside when it was raining. Another minus for the staff seemed like he was in a hurry and seemed unfocused, like he had no idea what to do next. But again, the staffs were friendly and may be it wasnt their best day.
Amazing restaurant. It is cosy and more personal with some unique interiors and some amazing food especially the tuna Steak. The hostess was real sweet and attentive. The price is also justified for the quality of the food. Highly recommended.
Delicious food (cant recommend the tuna steak enough, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the ribs!), attentive, friendly staff, cute location - I would go back again and again if I could. The menu is small which I liked, and all of the options looked amazing. There were definite moments of food envy when we saw other tables get their food! A must do if you are in the area and looking for something tasty that is really well priced.
Great first dinner in Dubrovnik. Cute little restaurant away from the busy old town. Service was outstanding and food was delicious. I would go back if I wasnt leaving today. Definitely recommend this restaurant. I recommend making a reservation, this place gets pretty busy.
Very nice restaurant. Food was delicious and the staff was great. Outside of the old city but wonderful views of the hillside. Definitely a must try.
Best meal so far in Dubrovnik. Incredibly fresh fish and prawns, good local wines and wonderful service.
First class meal everything from service to the food was excellent.
Ordered the Caesars salad and tuna steak (mediumand a glass of wine. Everything turned out great. Was really impressed with the salad in particular, as the shrimp was perfectly done and added a different dimension to the dish.
Charming location in a fenced garden in the new town of Dubrovnik.Service was quick and friendly.Delicious food and very reasonably priced drinks.Would thoroughly recommend.
We tried 4 items from the lunch menu and all of them were delicious. The portions are rather big, the burger was really nice and the spicy chicken soup was surprisingly spicy. They actually offered to tone it down a bit when the waiter saw my surprise. The place seems clean and well run. I highly recommend it.
Simple menu but very fresh and tasty food. We had the sea bass and the pannacotta (foto attached).
Best restaurant found in Dubrovnik. I was lucky and got a table without reservation. So if dont have, u should try!
One of the best meals I have had in Croatia. Cozy atmosphere. Great service.
