Sophisticated bi-level dining room with an open kitchen serving tapas & Key West-inspired entrees.
Spectacular service (thanks, royand food was amazing. The French onion soup was incredible, steak was cooked perfectly and well worth the $$, and our old fashioneds were the best in key west that we’ve had.
One of the best steaks Ive ever had, the Waygu NY strip was cooked to perfection and I highly recommend the mushrooms and brussel sprouts. Raif made our celebration even better. His service was professional and fun. He made out dining experience something we will never forget! That man deserves a raise!Until next time.
Amazing dining experience! The wagyu steak on crostini was perfection! The conch chowder was so fresh and flavorful! The steak bun tapas were outside the box for what you think of as Chinese buns, think more like Chinese street taco style buns! So tasty and filling! The staff was impeccable in their service. And the pastry chef’s chocolate pana cotta was sublime with a nice cup of the best coffee! This is a first rate dining experience and if you’re in town, be sure to stop by. You will not be disappointed!
Tonight my wife and I celebrated her birthday at the Tavern n Town. What a dining experience. Atmosphere, ambiance, soft guitar music, a very inviting start to our evening. Our waiter, Karoly Pach was point on the entire one and one half hours during our journey. Most helpful, smiling at all times, making us feel comfortable and guiding our decisions for dinner. Beginning with two absolutely delicious martinis (Perfect Parma),followed by caesar salad with mouth melting crouton’s, followed by a prime rib dinner (butter knife cutting, and an order of sea scallops. Presentation was an experience in itself. Thank you Tavern n Town and to your associate Karoly for making this evening very special.
Had an awesome dinner here. The food was phenomenal and the ambiance was fantastic. Romantic and very nice. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend.
Upscale $$$$$ was surprised dinners did NOT come with bread, soup,or salad ,the fish over pasta was fabulous.Live Piano! Very romantic 😍
Oysters were so so. Great bartender during happy hour. Very pricey!
If I could give no stars...There was cobweb on the pastry, the eggs were box eggs, fresh squeezed oj from a box, watery eggs, thyme taste in pancake the list goes on
Honestly the service and the food are good. The prices are RIDICULOUS! The owners of this establishment are grossly greedy and quite frankly disgusting to their employees.
We had fantastic waygu steak cooked to perfection! My first! But not my last!!
I had the 8 oz Australian Wagyu Filet Mignon, cooked medium rare and my wife had the Prime Rib cooked medium rare. Also had calamari and oysters. The calamari was really good, not rubbery like a lot of calamari in restaurants (recommended if you like fried Calamari). The oysters were raw (I prefer steamed to avoid vibrio infection, norovirus infection, and hepatitis A from uncooked oystersbut the oysters had something I have never seen before, they came out with dry ice so the vapor (frozen carbon dioxidefrom the dry ice was all around the oysters which was really nice and unique. The hand made sauces with the oysters were excellent. The Waygu was cooked different from other restaurants where Ive had Waygu. Normally Waygu is cooked on a Himalaya hot salt block by the chef at your table but this restaurant cooked it on the grill, which was good and soft but not as good as when it is cooked on a Himalaya hot salt block by the chef at your table. As for the Prime Rib, my wife said it was too salty and the asparagus was overcooked and had a burnt taste. We came during happy hour which you can buy one drink and get a free drink, that is always nice. We had two triple chocolate martinis, a little strong with the alcohol for the most part, but no complaints. Live guitar and singer, nice songs but a little too loud, not so romantic.Tables could use table cloths to improve the atmosphere, elegance and style.Roy was our server and he did a great job, very friendly and professional. Ask for Roys table as you will get great service. A couple tweaks and this could be a 5 star restaurant and like 2019 could be the best restaurant in Key West again. Price was normal for this type of meal and service, $265 with tip and tax. I was actually thinking $465 is normal, but no Himalaya Salt Block with a chef cooking it at your table reduces the price a couple hundred.Ive traveled to 124 countries and have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world, so I know food and I feel my reviews are pretty accurate.
Michelin 5-Stars it should be!I was blown away by every dish I tried ..The service is perfection the entire staff works together to serve you an amazingly delicious meal. This is an amazing restaurant the chef is best I’ve had years.Team work at its best on a busy 4th of July weekend not easy to accomplish.Tarun thank you for your commitment to perfection. The pleasure to have met you and your team.Joe & TaeHee
This is an exceptional restaurant with great ambiance. Loved thenaked chicken wings with 2 dipping sauces and we had the locsl catch,"grilled grouper" which was flavorfull and cooked just right. Had the key lime tart for dessert and the flavors were fenominal. Great staff took excellent care of us.
Great dinner and service last night for the Mrs birthday. I drive by every day and just don’t stop often enough. We were surprised when Karoly came to the table and took 5 🌟 care of us.
I’ve dined here so many times I can’t count the times. It’s mostly good and the bar has an amazing atmosphere. Often the food is good but tonight I was very disappointed. Our pizza was over cooked… almost charred, I had to ask marinara sauce so I could swallow it.My Prime rib was a huge let down… I usually don’t turn my nose up meat… this time I couldn’t swallow it. Itwasn’t worth the effort to cut it with a dull knife. The sides were just awful and did not compliment the dish. The grouper in the other hand was amazing. I should have taken the waiters subtle body language when I order the Prime rid. That’s my fault, he knew… I didn’t listen. Also, TJ at the bar is awesome!Oh well at least our fur babies have Prime rib for breakfast lunch and dinner😂 pictures weren’t the effort.
We could not believe how delicious the food was at this hotel connected restaurant. The service was exceptional and the portions were large. We ordered the Tavern and Ceasar Salad before the entree and they were both huge! Definitely big enough to share.
We had a great experience every time we dined here during our stay! Breakfast, apps, drinks…all of it delicious and the service was excellent. steam buns app was my favorite. Raif our server went above and beyond, thank you!
Food, service, entertainment and atmosphere were fantastic. New menu, preferred previous choices. Overall terrific!
On Sunday April 17,2022, the lady that was working at the desk she is aaaawesome,we were a party of 5 having a surprise baby shower and she worked with us through it all,Everyone was so welcoming and nice, from the manager to the servers EVERYONE was exceptional, the food was Superb, the pianist was great, the restaurant is beautiful..We will be back!
We like the food here and the drinks. I wish they would bring back the filet bites off the bar menu. My biggest issue with this place is the piano man. I can’t take it! The place is too small for a piano. He’s so loud and frankly not great. Update your music selection- Unless you’re after the 75-90 year old crowd who wish it were the 50’s and can barely hear. Ears bleed! We have left on two occasions because of him and once he had a woman with him. It was a Torture chamber!Steel drum player or just a singer would be so much better. Place could be 5 stars.
My meal, was the King Salmon special of the evening. It was delicious. The wine, reasonably priced, was excellent and went well with my dish.We got their French fries as an appetizer. If youve never had their fries, you should try them, because they are amazing!
I disliked it because the place smelled fish at breakfast, it’s totally under staffed and hence, bad service. The waitress told us that one of the 3 of them resigned during breakfast service because they are over worked. Also, watch out for being charged for warm breakfast items even if you have complementary breakfast with your room! Fresh fruits are awesome though
Nice looking place, marginal food. Conch chowder, not one piece of Conch, $15 seriously? Fake Wagyu as well. Eaten many great steaks and this isn’t close. Tough, fatty ( not marbledgarbage. Wait staff was great, but that is about it. Try somewhere else. This is not it
Spent my birthday here. Had exceptional & attentive staff, food was great, i had strip steak, cooked perfectly, & desserts were incredible!! Best of all my meal was free because of it being my birthday, they even brought out a dessert plate with happy birthday written in chocolate & a candle!!
Ok.. I know.. I dont give out many 5 Stars... And I know, hotel restaurants are know for being average to poor on a good day... But even if youre not staying here, you should come eat here! Whoever the executive chef is at this restaurant know what they are doing. We came for a casual dinner after a day out on the water. I was expecting some ok food... What we got was actually incredible. Starting out with the tuna tostada, calamari and the shishito peppers. All 3 were delicious with great depth of flavor and beautiful presentation. I had the french onion soup which also very tasty with a healthy portion of gruyere melted and browned to perfection on the top. I also got to try a bite of the $37 wagyu burger. I didnt think any burger could be worth $37 but if there is such a thing... This was it! Beautifully charred crust, cooked to juicy perfection covered in melty cheese and served with delicious crispy home cut fries. This place is real....
Tavern and Town is a part of Marriot Beachside Hotel. This restaurant has alot to offer. We were a party of 6. Prices are average to spicy but the quality is awesome. I went for Chicken Entree and Banana desert. Service was very good. We also tried the calamari, tuna and charcuterie board Tapas. Very tasty food.
I love the fried olives. TJ was absolutely the best bartender, very attentive to his guests.
Server was: Ben. Good tasting food but the breakfast buffet was poorly kept. No tongs for the bacon or sausage. The bacon was left off the heated surface for at least 20+ minutes (food safety concern!!!and when I inquired if there would be more bacon since that was clearly sitting for a good while, the cook simply placed it back in the heated area, so it was soggy and cold. The servers in general seem quite preoccupied with tasks other than serving. I had to get up at one point to get my mom who walks with a walker food. When we came back our table was cleared. The full plate of food I got myself earlier gone. No apologies. We had to ask for silverware, and if I had not gone up to the area where hot food was being brought out, I never would have gotten our omelettes which we paid for, nor a waffle. Drinks were never asked to be refilled. So yeah, service is awful, but the food is good if it’s fresh and not sitting out unheated. 1 star given for the food, 4 stars missing for the service. Never seen a restaurant in a Marriott have such terrible service.
Likely the best hotel restaurant Ive eaten at. Food was cooked very well and presented beautifully. The most disappointing aspect was the service, as we were seated for quite some time and the waiter rarely showed up. I ended up waiting for a period of time before eating my prime rib due to having no steak knife. Finally after a good 10 or 15 minutes after my plate arriving did he show back up.
The wagyu ribeye was perfectly cooked and delicious. All the food was divine. Impeccable service. Very nice upscale dining place in key west.
Tavern n Town never disappoints. Cozy atmosphere, great food and drinks. Locals special every night. An absolute great recommendation!*New review*Somewhat of a “new” menu, limited desserts, Prime rib was sooo thick. Tavern town salad my favorite!
Nice classy place with great strong drinks. Must order the fried castelvetrano olives. Hubby and I were fighting over the last one. We also ordered the fennel sausage pizza. It was tasty with fresh ingredients. The crust was slightly over cooked with lots of black on the bottom.
What a fantastic meal! The fillet ws to die for, the asparagus & spinach was excellent!, our server was fantastic, what an awesome meal!!!!
While staying at the Marriott we were looking for a close place to eat dinner. What a wonderful meal! They have the BEST calamari Ive ever had! The staff is friendly, drinks are amazing, (try the Pama martiniKey Lime pie was delicious too. We even went back a 2nd night just to eat the calamari again. We also had the fried Castellano olives and they were good too. I recommend eating here if youre anywhere near the Marriott Beachside Resort. Well definitely be back.
Very elegant looking restaurant. Serg our server was excellent, but as far as the food we were a little disappointed. I had the Prime Rib, although it was cooked excellent it lacked in seasonings. My wife had the Salmon & she said the same, cooked the way she liked it but lacked seasoning. We probably would not return 🤔
Swanky, upscale restaurant located right on the Eastern edge/ entrance to Key West on the Marriott property. The entrees run $30-45 so we opted for the 10" individual pizzas instead. Light, this crusts with interesting toppings, the prosciutto with lemon oil was the most tasty of the bunch.
The Key Lime Pie Martini and Mango Madness Martini were fabulous! The fresh seafood specials were amazing! We shared the Triple Chocolate Martini for desert! Service was top notch!
Amazing service, amazing food. The server from Turkey 🇹🇷 did an amazing job! We Celebrated my birthday here. I would gladly come back and I would recommend this place to anyone. We loved it! Only one small thing, it was very dark. Me and my friends had this complain. I understand it’s typical for fine dining restaurants, but a little brighter wouldn’t hurt anyone.
Excellent ambiance, lowlighted romantic setting. Great flavorful food, attentive service and excellent dessert selection. Definitely recommend.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Food was fabulous and great happy hour prices. I suggest the key lime and pick me up Martini.
The decor and feel of this establishment is impressive! The food is always tasty and the service is top notch! Best locals special in town! But regardless if you’re looking for a good steakhouse this is my number one suggestion in the keys!
The best part about staying in this Marriott was Tavern N Town! The food and drinks are amazing!Wide verity of buffet breakfast options with delicious omelette made to your choice!Extremely friendly staff and great service.
Amazing meal. Waiter wasn’t. I think he wasn’t happy we were local and had discount. But the meal was second to none.
Amazing food, and great Happy Hour and live entertainment every day. The staff are really friendly and the whole restaurant is clean. The also serve many great drinks and tapas.
What a great place for locals to go and have a nice meal at an amazing bar. Excellent service, food and drinks!
Tavern and Town was excellent. With a very sophisticated look this place is not just good it is also classy. As you come in the Bar area is in the center with high tops and a few TVs to catch a game or whatever you want. The restaurant sitting has like different areas but all with view of the large open kitchen. Tables and booths are available. The menu has everything from steaks to seafood and prices are reasonable. Wine list is also very good, lots of options.I had their signature prime rib slow roasted and came with a horseradish sauce that was delicious. Cooked to perfection this prime rib was juicy and fall apart tender. My friend had the linguini with lobster, crab and scallops. (Very good). I almost forgot to mention the butternut squash soup, it was amazing.I will definitely recommend this restaurant to you. Come here bring some friends and have an excellent meal.Thumbs up
Very good atmosphere and quality of food. I ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes, asparagus and a side of truffle lobster macaroni and cheese, and my meal was incredible.
We have been here for the locals special several times this year for special occasions such as my future son in law’s birthday. A bit of a wait but worth it. Reasonably priced when you make it for their specials get their before 6:30 pm. Do plan to make reservations as its gaining popularity. Always elegant and well prepared dishes. Friendly service even when it’s busy.
A fine dining restaurant right in the entrance of Key West. Fantastic atmosphere.. good food. Not the best tapas I’ve had on the island but definitely up there! Highly recommended.
We were staying at the Marriott and had dinner at this place. High end nice restaurant. Prime rib was awesome. They have happy hour and specials going on. We had to wait 25 minutes since we did not have reservation so plan accordingly. Fresh hot bread served. The next day we had breakfast buffet at the same place and the service was good.
