Victoria Embankment, Whitehall, London SW1A 2HR, Winchester
Former passenger ferry with pub food and drinks, moored on the Thames with views of the London Eye.
Great location for a function or party. I attended for a function. They had great vegan food and lots of options for drinks. Nice little change from going to a bar on land. Why not try a bar on water?Outdoor deck was superb with a really good DJ.Local train station is Embankment and is a 5 minute walk.Highly recommend.
Great views, nice food I recommend drinking on the deck and then eating below deck. £20 taken at the time of booking that’s taken taken off the final bill
Beautiful setting right next to the Thames. Fab atmosphere. Good food however, wish we had noticed the quirky little restaurant downstairs before we had bar meals. Cant wait to cone back and try it out.
The service was quick and friendly. The food was nice, typical pub food and not too pricey for London. The views of the London Eye, Thames and Parliament are amazing!
Great spot for an outdoor drink. Reasonable cost for London too. Great views!
Nice place to go to view the London Eye especially at night. However the below deck is quite old fashioned and smelly. So we stayed on the upper deck which was much nicer
Great and novel experience. First time on a pub boat( went as part of a corporate event).Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Food decent and drinks excellent - highly recommend!
Lovely place to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a drink or two watching the world go by. The gentle rocking on the water can cause you to feel like youve had a few too many when you havent, so not somewhere Id recommend more than a couple of alcoholic drinks (that might just be me feeling it move more than others!), however you can happily enjoy a couple of hours here. Lovely friendly bar staff, door staff friendly too. Didnt eat but the food seemed to go down well, conveniently served in take away boxes. Very popular and you can see why.
Normal pub but great location, especially on a day with good weather so you can sit on the deck.
We went for the meal + comedy show + club deal.Great value for money.Nice food.Very helpful and friendly staff.A very fun night out.The only downside was the lack of air con/ventilation (windows dont openin the restaurant part of the boat. Hope they can get that fixed soon as there was air con on the same level where the comedy show/dance was held.Overall a great venue, and I look forward to going back again!
Great location and venue. Went for the boat show comedy which was such a fun evening. During each break you could grab a drink and listen to the DJ on the upper deck. Lively atmosphere, loved it.
Enjoy a drink with glorious views of the London Eye.Caution - even though the boat is quite steady, those who are prone to motion sickness can feel the stomachs squirm just a little bit :)
We stumbled upon this place purely by chance, for an emotional family evening meal. Its could not have been any better. Thank you!
Great bar on a boat, with plenty of room for a large party. We had the fish and chips from the on board outlet and it was great. Only stayed for lunch but great river views and attentive staff made this a very pleasurable lunch break. You can, of course, stay much longer. That is recommended!!
Brilliant views of the London eye and big Ben too, basically a converted boat right on the river.. a bit pricey, even by London standards but you are paying for the view. Walking distance fro Leicester Square and other attractions so a good place to stop for a drink with a view.
Absolutely had the best roast dinner here last weekend. It was cooked to perfection and it was fantastic value for money. You can order unlimited roast potatoes, veg and Yorkshire puddings. Would definitely recommend a visit
A bit over priced but such a fun experience with great views. The DJ is great as well and it’s a solid atmosphere for a nice day.
Nice place to spend a summer evening. Nice views of the London Eye and the Thames with some music and a great atmosphere. The food menu is not huge but big enough for when your out having a few drinks and relaxing.Would come back again on a nice evening.
Lovely bar on the Thames. As long as the weather is nice this is a great spot to have a beer in the sun. The first time I came here the waters were a bit choppy - do remember this is a boat at the end of the day if you dont have sea legs! Can get very busy in the afternoon so expect to stand if the weather is nice as outside seating is at a premium. Worth a visit at least once if youre in the area.
Visiting Tattershall Castle is a treat. The staff is very attentive and will do their best to cater to your needs, no matter how picky or unreasonable they are. They also offer great deals on drinks, which is always a plus. The environment is great and the decorations are beautiful. The food served in the restaurant was fantastic, with home-cooked flavor for those who are looking for a changeThe menu is reasonably priced and there is an ample selection to choose from. If youre in the mood for a lighter meal, try the homemade soup, which willl leave your taste buds singing. The staff is also very friendly and they make sure that every person who walks in is completely satisfied with their stay.
Great place to grab drinks with friends. Cute location on a boat, something you don’t see everyday. Great food options and the drinks are delicious. Fun and kind staff. Recommend to anyone trying to find a cool London spot.
Nice view and staffs. Just one thing, difficult to buy drinks. Hopefully increase the number of staffs in bar area.
What a great location and atmosphere for a quick drink or longer stay with some good food on offer too. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Great venue, drinks a little pricey, if we go into a recession this may cause ppl to go else where management think about this...Staff are great especially Lewis he makes best cocktails all served with a smile.Comedy club at weekends excellent and turns into a mini night club after great for an evening out...Just be careful bar prices..
I was fortunate enough to get a seat here to watch the fly over during the Platinum Jubilee. Lovely idea to have a floating pub on the Thames. It was very busy, which was understandable, but there was a great atmosphere, and luckily, a nice sunny day!
Great bar on the Thames with excellent views of the London eye and Westminster bridge. If you like a bar that’s a bit different to the usual places this is it.
Amazing location. We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of fun for my friends hens party. The staff are amazing as well, really friendly. Shout out to the manager Paul for really looking after us.Highly recommend a visit.
This was a good find whilst walking along the Thames opposite the London Eye.There are three levels the lower two for seated dining although you can order food on the top deck also for casual dining. We were on middle deck, and the staff were so accommodating, looked and were very professional. The menu was very varied and prices were no more than your local restaurant which was a nice surprise as youd expect much higher in London.Give it a go, you wont be disappointed 🙃
Was here for a work event. Be warned its very warm unless youre right under the AC. Nice views though and food was good albeit unlabelled for a large group which was challenging for those with dietary requirements. A lot of us ended up ordering at the bar also as it took a long time to bring out drinks to our booked area. Id visit again to stay on the deck outside or on a quieter time when its not so busy and warm.
I came here at 6pm on a Monday night. The ship looks like a really attractive venue to have lunch, dinner or drinks as it is right in front of the London eye and has plenty of views, and looks like a good spot. The top deck is beautiful but it was a little cold so we went below deck which is beautiful as well. The ship is very large for a restaurant and there are tons of tables, and a bar on every level. We sat by a window and it was a really nice view.We ended up only ordering drinks because we werent super hungry, although I was very tempted because the menu looked great. We ordered two ciders which were very tasty! The waiter was very friendly and he checked on us several times, and when he saw me taking pictures he even gave me a little tour. The ship is beautiful and has a TON of history. I recommend reading up about the ship, but they also have plenty of photos and historical stuff hanging up on the walls too.I would definitely come back here and I recommend this restaurant to anyone, although I can not yet vouch for the quality of food, everything else is on point.Update- the bathroom was not clean, but that was the only downside I saw.
Welcome to the Tattershall Castle – pub on the Thames. We are open 7 days a week and ideally situated opposite the London Eye and between Westminster and Embankment tube stations. You are bound to be enchanted by the charm of the Tattershall Castle and its river views. We are the perfect venue, whatever the occasion. From fish & chips on the deck, a meal in the Wardroom, a wedding in the Stateroom, an intimate gathering in the Bridge, to drinks in the Lounge - all our rooms have their own character,
Pub on the Thames, near to embankment station, the upper deck gets busy when the sun is out, has a lower/indoor deck with is quite, all the usual beers etc, food served all day, also do a comedy club once a week..well worth a visit..
The view is amazing, the food can be better, my team had a great time, some members of the the staff are awesome, others no to so much .On a sunny day its a great spot to hang out
It was…ok. For a tourist experience it was cool to be on the ship and look over the Thames and say you’ve been on the ship pub it’s worth it but for anything else, not so much. The bar lines are long, it’s crowded, if you sit on deck you’ll have to deal with cigar and cigarette smoke and someone is always hunting for you chair. I’m glad I went, great pictures, so if you haven’t gone, go. You’ll be able to say you’ve been there done that.
Good vibes and good laughs. Booked a comedy meal so had a bite to eat before hand.Looking forward to coming back.
My favourite pub on the Thames.Yes its expensive... But look where you are!Its reasonable considering that. The staff were excellentMassive shout out to Lucy who looked after my table of 34 guests for my birthday.Absolute legend. They called me 2 days later (thanks for letting the hangover subsideto collect feedback..... I LOVE feedback.Tattershall Castle can do no wrong. It means more to me than a Google review can express due to sentimental value.Ill be here again, and again, and again. And even though it was busy.... They still look after their punters. Thanks Tattershall!
The London eye view from Tattershall Castle is amazing. You can also see the big Ben as well. Such a nice place if you want to enjoy a drink with nice view.
Great night had! Attended the comedy club and nightclub. Drinks reasonably priced.
Great food, great view, great service, and the price was right for all of it. I especially liked the steak&ale pie and for dessert the chocolate orange torte.
The pub on the Thames. What a great experience after being on a river cruise. It was our friends 60th birthday so we were happy with the prices. Its a lovely venue opposite the London Eye in Westminster. Staff were very helpful. We highly recommend a visit.
Always make a point to visit this place. Love the vibe and location. Look in the river and you may even see a seal. Just a grand place for a drink!
Great location for a pub grab, I havent been on this boat bar for ages but its definitely improved. Window tables to be booked ahead.
I really like this place and usually take any visitors there for a drink. It has the best views of the London eye and big Ben, and you can experience it while having a drink.
Well maintained and nice decorations keep this lovely boat floating:great for sunset drinks and to rent for events
A hidden gem of London. Drinks on a boat at sunset is amazing. The location is great as it cant get more waterfront than this. Mulled Wine was the perfect drink too. Will definitely be visiting again and again as I think this is one of my new favourite spots
Visited several times before and the food and drinks are always good. I chose fish and chips with mushy peas, lovely batter onghe fish, not soggy at all. Lumi was our waiter and he was very attentive and polite. Very nice glass of Pinot Grigo served chilled. Good toilets.
Fun place to have some beers and enjoy the river side on a boat pub. The food is not that good so I wouldn’t recommend any.
We went here for a bottomless brunch and it didnt disappoint!! The food was great and also came with a great selection of drinks to choose from. Staff were friendly and well mannered and provided great service. The views are fantastic and a great place to relax and have a drink and take in the views!!
The service here was very slow when we went, it took ages for our drinks to come, we actually got our fries first. The location is nice and the fries were what you would expect. If you get at all seasick i would not recommend as, with this bar being on the Thames it does move a little bit.It may have been an off day service wise, give it a try as it is a lovely place to sit when it is a sunny (and calmday.
Walked in on Thursday evening and got a table instantly- which was such a pleasant surprise! There is no cover charge and prices were pretty standard to any other pub. The fact that youre on a ship opposite the London Eye was pretty amazing. Nice place to grab a few pints with your folks. Food was average but hey i didnt come here for the food :Id definitely get my visiting friends and family here for the experience.
