Order was late when it came only chips was hot, ordered lamb dishes however should have been labelled as salad as the lamb content was minute. Food was tasteless, will never order from there again

Ordered from here on Uber Eats, called taste of greek gryos on there. Spent 56 pounds just for myself, yes i know, crazy amount of money, octopus, king prawn, calamari, all warm and chewy, wasnt cooked right, order came on time which was great, driver was nice, but completely unhappy that ive spent nearly 60 quid for food that wasnt cooked properly and i have gotten food poisoning from it, uber eats gave me a partial refund, strange not a full but there we go, be careful is all im going to say.

I have ordered here consistently over the past 5-6 years. There are always problems, but we (foolishlycome back as there is no alternatives for Greek locally.In the past the issues have mainly been with long delayed times to received a delivery or take away order but more recently we’ve consistently experienced wrong orders and poor food quality.Bottom line: Save your money and your time and eat elsewhere.

Ordered, waited for an hour for food to come but it did not arrive. After calling 50 times with no answer we drove past to see the shop was shut. No message for closure and nothing posted on social media.

I ordered the Falafel gyro wrap. It was extremely dry and had a minimal amount of any salad. Very disappointed and unfortunately ended up in the bin after one bite. I hope the restaurant will listen to the comments below and improve the service.Photo disclaimer: falafel has been torn by me, into smaller pieces in hope it would be easier to swallow and some extra tzatziki added for moisture.

I paid almost 14£ for this "Extra Large" Chicken and Pork Souvlaki to takeaway. When I arrive home I realised how small it was for 14£. Plus, I waited the order for almost 30min. Not big surprises with the quality of the food, the standard taste.

Gone downhill massively! We used to love taste of Cyprus but went in today to get a takeaway and firstly ordered chicken nuggets and chips for my son which ended up being chicken wings and he doesn’t eat meat off the bone, we ordered souvlaki mix and it was bone dry, the sheftalia was bone dry, tasted horrible and ended up in the bin, chips didn’t taste fresh either. The best bit was the pita the only thing that ended up eaten the rest was thrown! So disappointed as it was a Father’s Day treat too. Won’t be coming back. £50 down the drain

Don’t bother ordering from them. They accept your order on Uber eats and don’t deliver it. Worst service

Was told food would be ready in 15 min. Turned up on time and everything is just unorganised. Ended up waiting 40 min.You cant keep people waiting like that its just not good customer service. Food was ok.

Worst food I’ve ever had. Fist of all I waited 20 minutes with 0 customers for a single souvlaki. I’m even going to describe how the food was, disgusting and dry! Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Badly overpriced! Chef barely can understand what you want. Menu banner is missing, you have to find menus somewhere on the side.Steak cut chips inside, 0 sauce inside as well! DRY!very difficult to eat without cutlery as well.Thanks,never again.

Just moved to the area and was excited to find a Greek gyro delivery but that was not a Greek gyro - where was the tzatziki? The salad? The chips? And why did it have doner meat in it? And the mixed souvlaki are £18 had 2 skewers of dry meat and a quarter of a pitta bread. Very underwhelmed and will not be ordering again.

Im 75years old its been a long time since Ive enjoyed a Greek meal like in there 😋

The food is nice but they tell you 45 minutes for delivery but its always over an hour. We just waited an hour and a half and food arrived stone cold. Wont be ordering from there again!!

Firstly the one star I’ve given is because it simply won’t let me give you none, the food is mediocre and the wait time is appalling I can’t believe it we ordered our food at 6:30 and it arrived at 8:15!! And they where even missing a few things from our order which is shocking considering the wait time, not happy at all…

The 2 stars goes to the decent food they provide. However, if youre ordering on a weekend, just dont. I ordered just after 7.30 and the food is only now on its way at 9.07pm. The food was sitting waiting to come to me at 8.40pm so heres hoping its not cold 🥺

the food came over an hour late, they lied 3 times to over the phone and gave me the wrong order! the pork was not great but never is any good. last time i ever order from here. AVIOD.

I was very disappointed with the kebabs the other day. They were plain tasteless, quite possibly defrosted meat. I wont be buying again. How can you guys think you can get away with this???

Wow looked great outside but just spent 15mins placing and order and entering payment details to be told my email is wrong well Ive had it 15 plus years so entered it again told same thing so you know Im placing a £40 order elsewhere! And with that reply you can see customer services is not a strong point! Also your website didnt list a telephone number!

Very poor service. Had 2 meat boxes with chicken and lamb and both were over cooked and dry. They missed the rice in one of the box plus overall very expensive.I hope they just had a bad day service.

Our order never turned up. We waited over an hour and a half and it never turned up. Tried phoning got spoken to so rudely on the phone the first time and the it was constantly engaged and couldnt get through. Disgusting service now waiting for a refund through Just Eat. DO NOT ORDER from here.

I just ordered it over the phone and payed using sum up app.I enjoyed the chicken souvla mouth watering and lovely soft drinks.

Just ordered a salad kebab and chips. Cost me 8 pound. When got home it had no lettuce just cucumber and tomato in. Asked for humus in it to. Didn’t have none. Chips are diced potatoes but they was dry to. Not as disappointing as the salad kebab. Won’t be using them again waste of money.

BEWAREWe ordered our food paid for it on the Uber app. 2 hours later the food still wasn’t here. We called up and the manager told us he delivered it and passed us onto the lady who supposedly delivered it and she was so rude and told us there’s nothing she can do she delivered the food when she clearly didn’t. The manager also told us we can’t get a refund and that there’s nothing he can do. A total scam they rob your money. Do not order

Placed order at 19:00, estimated delivery confirmed for 19:40...Chased via Just Eat app at 20:00 (No response from restaurant)Chased again via Just Eat app at 20:10 (No response from restaurant)Cancelled order and requested refund via Just Eat app at 20:25Received response from Taste of Cyprus restaurant refusing the refund via Just Eat app at 20:40Called restaurant at 20:45 and spoke to manager who did apologize and said they are very busy but he will not give me a refund... I tried to reason with him suggesting that 1 whole hour AFTER the food was actually supposed to be delivered cannot be condoned as a professional service? He was adamant that no refund would be givenNow... this is over an hour after the originally quoted delivery time expired, a full 1 hour and 45 minutes after actually ordering the food in the first place... And apparently its now on its way which i had to phone the restaurant about, just to get that update... (Any courtesy call to tell me my foods gonna be an hour late?)I fully understand and appreciate that a restaurant gets busy, and ultimately if a restaurant is busy, then thats a good sign..What i dont understand nor appreciate is how you can refuse a customer a refund for food you said would be delivered over an hour before? I fully understand your busy, but you havent adhered to your side of the contract, as a business? You were contracted to deliver a product, failed to do so, then refused the customer a refund?For a restaurant to be great, it needs both great food AND customer service.. Unfortunately, while the food here may be good i shall be going elsewhere for my greek takeaways..Have contacted Just Eat with regards to a full refund, pretty sure theyre customer care may be slightly different...Either way, if i dont get my money back, itll be £25 spent to find out how poor this restaurants customer service really is when it comes to their mistakes...After all, i imagine all restaurants make mistakes from time to time especially when busy or short staffd etc.. Absolutely brilliant! food was incredible!! Slight issue with my order but 1 quick phone call and they sent another straight out. Will definitely be making here a regular 👍👍

Overall a really wonderful meal. We called ahead and had a really pleasant conversation with Chris, ordered and collected at exacly the time arranged. Ordered souvlaki, sheftalies, gyro (which was extra special!with salad, pitta and peppers, onions etc. We also enjoyed some baklava and gourambiedes. The food is truly authentic Cypriot and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Thank you for a nice meal and pleasant experience. We will definitely order again very soon. Highly recommended.

Prices are wayyyyy too high and you could be waiting up to 2 hours for your food. Generally the food is ‘ok’ but we’ve had experiences where we’ve been very disappointed. I’d say it’s hit and miss for service and food, but again the prices are just completely unreasonable.

Ordered twice from this restaurant - the first time we ordered a halloumi kebab, and received just a dry pitta bread with a few pieces of cheese. The second time, we had to wait for an extra 15 minutes and then half of our order was missing and some items were wrong. Wont be ordering again.

Group of 4 we went in last night (Saturday 15th feb)Had a fantastic experience, food was great and Chris the owner brought us out Macaroni cheese Cypriot style , that was to die for .We are regular here but honestly the meat melts in your mouth .Always worth a try .

Worse and most expensive kebabs we ever had. One skewer of meat and 3 sheftalas in an extra large kebab that cost £14. Looked the same as a large for £9 and inedible cold food. We got stitched up with £72 for 6 kebabs, one was an ex large and 3 portion of chips. They increased their prices by 25%. All salad in there and not enough meat. I stopped ordering from them 2yrs ago but thought they might have changed. They have got from bad to worse. Never again, could have driven to Andys in Oakwood for half the price and would have got it hot with good quality meat.

Worse kebabs I have ever had, very expensive and the meat was tough as old boots. I had it when it first opened and got food poisoning but decided to try the kebabs again as I was with some friends and they wanted kebabs so I thought I would give it another go so I ordered a large mixed kebab. Well it was mainly salad with hardly any meat and I could not even chew the meat and they charged £14 for this kebab. It all went in the bin! Never again.

Orded from just eat. Phone staff are very nice and great at answering questions. I got a platter with additional mousakka. Delivery was quick and food was nice. Big portions

We make this journey often as we live in Cambridge and highly recomend Taste of Cyprus.Ive tried pretty much every Kebab house in central and north London and this sits in my top three. In todays competitive food world you simply cant judge a restaurant/Takeaway on how fast their home delivery is its about being in its presence.

Staff left you standing there for a while before taking our order. The menu prices was wrong food took long time to cook, 1 out of 3 was hot. Girl sneezing didnt clean her hands and kept handeling food. Staff didnt speak to customers and it wasnt as if they was bussy. There isnt anywhere to wair for takeaway customers

If, when you eat you enjoy the feeling of chewing on a tombstone then eat here... if you don’t I would avoid this establishment. Honestly I am not one to complain... but this place serves the hardest food to chew I have ever eaten in my entire life and I can imagine that anyone has ever eaten... have you seen that advert for those dental sticks for dogs on the television? Well imagine eating those dentals sticks after they had been baked in super glue... that is literally how hard the pitta bread was. The food was also dryer than one of Gandhi’s flip flops... I dropped a piece of chicken on the floor and it sounded like I had dropped a marble on a tile that is how hard and dry it was dust even came off the chicken (I would say cube but i think marble is more suitablemarble.They don’t give you any sauces... just gormless looks... when you ask for sauces they bring them out on tiny plates which is barely enough for a cat and also came once we had almost finished the food..there is a strange feeling in this venue something is definitely not right with the older man who gives you a gormless look as if something is going on behind the scenes.The girls who work there seem too young to be working at all.I honestly think if there was no water available that I would have just choked and not been able to swallow the food and I wouldn’t be alive to write this message right now... it was like astronauts food. Literally zero moisture I cannot put into words how dry it was. The only way is to go and see for yourself it is worth going there just so you can tell the story to grandchildren and pass it down generations about how dry the food is there I have no idea how that place is still open.I am wondering if the chef mistook some frisbees for pita breads? That’s the only explanation I can think of for bread being that dry.I left with a feeling of regret and indigestion. I can imagine I will have a bad stomach for the next few days.

This place is a joke!I placed an order tonight at 9.10 and was told the wait was an hour, I was prepared to wait so proceeded to place the order. They took my address and confirmed it back to me to make sure it was correct which it was.After placing my order they checked with the kitchen to make sure they had enough sheftalies to fulfil the order which they confirmed to me.After an hour and 10 mins the food wasn’t delivered so I called back. They said that the driver went to my house and was told that it was the wrong address and the delivery was rejected. When confirming the post code I realised that the driver went to a completely different address, I find this disgusting considering my address was confirmed back to me. I was then told that because of their mistake, they no longer had enough ingredients to re-cook my order as the original order had gone cold. They advised me to wait another 30 minutes so they can cook me alternative order. The lady on the phone didn’t know what to do and advised me that I would get a discount if I order from them in the future. There is absolutely no chance of me ordering from taste of Cyprus.I cancelled my order and ordered from the local Turkish restaurant instead.Do not trust this restaurant as they are incapable simple tasks such as delivering to the correct addresses!

Visited on a Saturday evening and wanted to dine in the restaurant. Unfortunately the food took such a long time to arrive with no communication from the waitress. It would have been better to know how long it would be rather than endlessly waiting. All that being said when the food did arrive it was great, good quality and amazing presentation. Will return but for take out only next time.

I can highly reccomend this restaurant! Lovely friendly staff and amazing traditional cuisine all cooked fresh to order. They also have a new restaurant in the volunteer pub in walsham abbey where they also serve a delicious Sunday roast with all the trimmings, fresh fish cooked to perfection along with their tasty Cypriot cuisine. Great live music on the occasion and leading up to Christmas they have some great Christmas parties organised. Its a must to try this restaurant!

Called in last night for a takeaway. Thought the price was steep but went ahead. I was the only customer - atmosphere very odd somehow, like something was going on. One young female staff member kept staring at me strangely. Left thinking Dont reckon Ill go back there. Diarrhoea early next morning and all day thereafter. Hadnt eaten anything else. Definitely wont be back.

Ive never ordered from, Taste of Cyprus Restaurant before, and I have always wanted to try it. So I thought Id give it a go tonight. I wish I never bothered. My order was over 20 minutes late. When I called up to ask how it was getting on, I was meet with a very rude and sarcastic person on the other end of the phone. The meat was tough and not worth the price I paid for it. I dont know where they get their meat from, but it was very tough and very poor quality of food. I wouldnt even feed it to my dog. Its a shame that this is how my first experience with Taste of Cyprus Restaurant went, but I wont be recommending them to anyone any time soon. Nor will I be ordering again.

Food is actually amazing. Chicken souvla is wonderful. They should give more of that onion and herb salad! Biggest disappointment is that they dont take card payments over phone and sometimes you can wait up to 1.5hrs for delivery during busy periods.

Great place to have a birthday party and the suckling pig on charcoal was gorgeous. Absolutly amazing cake from Prestige Patisserie.

Ordered online, but they called right away to advise no lamb dishes were available, very disappointing. We then had various instructions for each dish, I.e. No pitta, no onions, separate salad etc, yet everything turned up in pitta with the salad inside - not what wed asked for. We called up to explain, one, we werent compensated for paying extra for lamb dishes online which were changed to chicken over the phone which is cheaper. Two, the instructions were completely ignored - and all they said was "oh, he obviously didnt read them!!".Im sorry but, this is your service, had this been an allergy instruction what might have happened??So very annoyed and disappointed with the whole experience and to be honest would expect some feedback!Order: CD3 - 20/12/16.

Ordered on the phone, order took ages to arrive.. 2 hours later rung too tell them the order hadnt arrived. Never apologised, never offered to compensate, bad customer service given that i was a loyal customer.Also a great shame as i will no longer recommend given my experience and its a shame because their food is actually quite good.
