Taste of Colombia - Fair Trade Coffee & Gift Shop - Coffee shop in Oakville, Canada
What a great coffee place, the coffee is so good, and the ambiance is what makes the place the perfect spot to catch up with your friends, also the staff is so kind.Arriba Colombia!
Excellent coffee. Good selection of Colombian beans from various roasters.
This was the first coffee shop I visited when I moved to Canada and sateled in Oakvile, I love the vibes, the friendly people and offcourse the coffee. it has a beautiful sidewalk summer seating area , just beside the habour ... a Must visit many times
Most enjoyable experience on a foggy day ,the hospitality was superb, coffee was so good ideal for me and my friends, loved the homely seating ....will be coming back for more
Really nice place for breakfast and they make great coffee, and a whole bunch of other things, including some Colombian pastries. For me, the espressos are excellent.Service is hot and miss, depending on who you get.
Very cosy and comfy. Great coffee and almond muffins! ☺️
This place is one of the most fantastic coffee shops Ive ever tried in Oakville.
Great friendly service. I just wish that No pets were allowed because I suffer from Asthma and the shedding of the pets hair give me some breathing problems.
Fantastic coffee. Great flavor. Love supporting small business
Stopped at this coffee shop on a Saturday morning bike ride. The quality of the cafe latte and blueberry scone certainly surpassed my expectations. The coffee was rich and creamy as you would expect from a master barista and the scone was fresh and moist without being overly sweet. We enjoyed this light breakfast on their patio across from the water in the morning sunshine. Overall a great experience. Will definitely return if in the area!
Theyre hot chocolate bars were yummy and sneaky! 🤪
great cozy coffee shop by the lake. the staff are kind and the coffee is amazing. would recommend to all coffee lovers!
The staff are friendly, food delicious and prices are VERY reasonable! The atmosphere gives off an awesome Latin flair. Try the pandebono (Colombian bread with tapioca), it’s so delicious!! Cafe con leche, cafe latte with a hazelnut shot, and drip coffee were what we ordered. You can’t go wrong with whatever you order.
Great little place. Excellent coffee. I recommend the Americano
Got some really good ice coffees. Love it when they use frozen coffee ice cubes.
Cute cafe. Laid back. Nice music.Strange, but nobody came around to clean the tables. Maybe its just a sign of having clean, well behaved customers. 🤔
Amazing little cafe. Their coffee and food is always delicious. They even use frozen-coffee ice cubes in their iced coffee, so it doesn’t get diluted as the ice melts! My iced coffee is good to the last drop! The owners are also so kind and welcoming. They really get to know the members of their community and create a hub for people to gather. They have salsa classes and other events in their salon as well which again really creates that sense of community.
Outstanding. The best coffee period. Salsa dancing Saturday nights. The community is lucky to have a Taste of Columbia!
Love the vibe and all of the character here! Also their brewed coffee is 10/10
I was so happy to have discovered this independent cafe in Bronte. But unfortunately only serve up a serve up a soy that has 6 gm of sugar. Too bad because Id rather support an independent, local business and drinking a nut milk alternative isnt an option for me.
Our place to go for a coffee. The outside sitting areas is great to have a coffee. The service is great.
A great, local cafe with good coffee!!! Gorgeous location too. Buy your coffee and walk along the Lake!!!
The perfect coffee place!! Vibrant ambience. Great location and staff. I tried their in-house brewed specialty cap. Options for snacks.
We live pretty close to this place and have been going there for many years. They always greet you with smile, serve you the best coffee, scones and treats every time! Today, we had our usual coffee and scones there in the evening. Long after that ... we came back from our walk when my son walked in asking for a glass of water. The gentleman greeted him with smile... gave him a glass water and ice with same level of hospitality and grace. Proud that such a business exists in our neighborhood.
Great, friendly people, excellent espresso, organic chocolate and roasted coffee from South America. Also, try the Arepa, too! What else do we need in life?
A nice environment great atmosphere, terrific coffee, right by the lake.
Beautiful, quiet and calm coffee ☕️ shop with tasteful Colombian, Guatemalan coffee ☕️.
Best dripped coffee in oakville. The chai layyevis great too. Very good customer service since re opening. Friendly staff. A good place to sip your coffee. Dont expect a rushed experience.
Amazing! They truly go the extra mile to give you the best food and service, such as coffee ice cubes so your drink doesn’t get watered down. Will definitely be back!
A friend recommended the place. The views surrounding the place were gorgeous. Other than that, nothing extra ordinary : food , coffee and service nothing so special as mentioned in some reviews related to this place. Actually the scones were awful. Picked blueberry scone, a lady in front of me asked the employee why the scone was so dark, the employee said it is the blueberries darkening the color of the scone. I ordered the same since the lady ordered it. Came out and saw with under daylight, it was not the blueberry color but burnt, after a bite it tasted burnt and hard with no freshness, over cooked and left over from previous??. Didnt take a photo of the garbage. Rather go to wholefood for a scone. Grab food somewhere else and eat around the street since there are many benches and picnic table along the lake. Parking was only 75 cent for 30mins. Its the location thats worth if you live around the area.
I was going to order Colombian empanadas but then I saw staff workers grabbing a pre made bag of empanadas which were stored in a sealed plastic case so I turned around and walked out their door. There’s no way I would pay for that type of food.Food is supposed to be freshly made!
They always have my favourite scones which are cheese scones. Other places have only raspberry and blueberry scones. Best cheese scones baked right on the premises.
A wonderful cozy coffee shop with very friendly and attentive service. The shop serves a variety of snacks, pastries, sandwiches, etc. As a quick snack we usually order coffee, a Croqueso, and an Almond Crescent. The shop also carrys a selection of Colombian candy goods and gift items. The shop is split into 2 large rooms consisting of, the shop itself, and a sitting area seperated by a doorway. The sitting area also doubles as a "Salsa Dance Area" on Saturday Evenings. If you dont want to dance you can sit, order something, and watch the dancers. We always stop there when we are in the Bronte area.
Nice coffee shop at the Bronte area in Oakville with good pastry, small but cozy place with nice people in charge. They also offer salsa classes for CAD 25 per session.
Ordered their grilled cheese panini and this is what I got.... its like ordering a hamburger and getting a single meatball in a bun. I asked the waitress/owner about it, saying "theres just two small pieces of cheese here" and she replied, with a straight face/puzzled look: "yes, well there are two more in the other half..." Unfortunately it seems clear that, while being very polite and well-meaning, the owner has either never actually seen a grilled cheese sandwich before or is insultingly cheap with product... Im gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and say the former (not that thats an excuse), but Im still never coming back.
This place is always bumping and its no surprise why: the staff are wonderful, the ambiance is welcoming, the food is delicious, and the coffee is divine. They have a kindness program where you can pay a coffee purchase forward and they offer dance classes in their event space. Theyre more of a community institution than merely a cafe and store. I only wish their hours were longer!
Always amazing. Great food and drink. Wonderful people and ambiance. Feels like home.Never disappoints:)
Great cozy place to come and grab a snack with tea or coffee.Sit down with a friend, coworker, partner or your loved one, truly it is for any occasion.Great customer service, excellent quality been always satisfied and grateful that we have such a great place in our community.
Owners are very nice. I go here on a weekly basis for great coffee and cappuccino. Pan de yuca and scones are also very tasty
One of my favourite coffee shops around. Lots of milk alternatives available. Great selection of gluten free and dairy free goodies as well! Coffee flavour is pure and authentic! Definitely a spot to try!
Hands down best flat white ever. We go out of our way to come and get them often! Only wish they would open up earlier on Saturday/Sunday, but completely understand they need to enjoy the weekend too :)
Super nice staff! The younger lady working there came out to give us our order while we waited outside the shop! Hooked us up with a little more food than we ordered to make it even for us to share. Plus the matcha and chai latte were made perfectly, not too sweet, just perfect! Will be coming back for some of the boozier options later! ;)
10/10 rating for this locally & Colombian owned cafe! The owner was welcoming and kind upon my arrival! She assisted me in a perfect manner as she helped me navigate through options in a timely manner! The chocolate scones are a personal fav!Thank you to taste of Colombia cafe!P.S. Happy Latinx/Hispanic heritage month! I hope more people can celebrate this month by shopping at latinx/Hispanic, locally owned businesses like this one!
An adorable little coffee shop in downtown Oakville! Definitely worth a visit for anyone passing through and it seems quite popular with the locals. Went around 2 pm and the place was packed. They have excellent quality coffee and it’s all fair trade. They also offer lots of little Latin delights, from empanadas to dulce de lêche desserts. They bake their own but also have pre packaged items from Colombia and other places. They also sell coffee and tea. The special thing they offer here (and almost no where elseis Pan De Yuca, an incredible bread from Latin America. They were sold out when I visited so I will go back to try it and write another review but I’m definitely excited to find a place that bakes fresh pan de yuca in Canada. The coffee shop also seems to have tons of social activities and events which are held in their “Salon”; a spacious room next door that’s set up for dance classes, yoga classes or different kinds of meetings. I had the mochaccino which was perfect as I prefer hot drinks that don’t have added sugar, they only add cocoa so it tasted great to me. Their latte is also quite good as you can tell that the coffee used is of high quality. It is a little tight at the coffee shop area so it gets a bit stuffy but it had a nice cozy vibe to it. Will visit again to explore more.
Such amazing authentic Coffe place. The taste of the Coffee is breathtakingThe design and ambience is wonderfulThe service is greatI love everything here specially the Latte .
Cute cafe in Bronte! Good coffee and snack options. Will definitely go back to visit to try more drinks and food!
They always have the freshest, tastiest and aromatic coffee in town. The price is right and the staff is there to work hard to make your order quick. Their baked goods are fresh and authentic. Help support Fair Trade by supporting your local café! Their espresso is smooth and served proper, with a small glass of water. My favourite coffee shop in the OV!
I come here very often.Never have had a bad coffee. Drip coffee is good but you have to get an espresso beverage when you go. The mochacino is their best in my opinion.Have a solid selection of baked goods with a couple of monthly selections mixed in. Their regular selection is Great, especially the banana bread, but you also get some diversity.Usually good and quick service, but it can get busy so during peak hours expect to wait a little. It is worth it for sure!
Ordered a latte to go...was very smooth but very mild in flavour. Not sure if I had the option for something stronger as I tried to get more info about the coffee used but the staff seemed very distant and uninterested in answering questions and helping. I noticed a basic assortment of pastries and they sell empanadas.
Great place would recommend to anyone. Take a walk with your coffee along the water or enjoy great music at this cozy cafe!
