Taste Of China in Coventry

We got chicken chow mein, chicken curry, and satay chicken. We wanted the chicken satay starter that comes on skewers, but got some sort of chicken dish. We were already home and settled by the time we noticed. This is the second time they’ve messed up an order. It was very sub par. The staff were nice, but had to wait a bit because they took a phone order before taking payment from me. Not sure if I’d go back again.

The restaurant never shipped my order. They wasted my time and lied. I called at 18 past10 and the so called driver called me at 28 past. The company has bad communication and should have just told me they wouldn’t be able to deliver my food. Instead they lied and said the driver called me to make sure I’m at the location. This is unacceptable as it’s very late and I placed my order on time to eat. As I’m currently studying at the library. All other restaurants are closed. They should have just told me they wanted to go home instead of making me wait for my order. And then lie that they needed to make sure I’m outside before sending the driver out. This is unacceptable. I now have to study with no food. They didn’t care. I wasn’t able to speak to a manager as the adviser said no. They didn’t even bother to apologise. He just said there’s nothing that can be done. Then changed the story to say the driver wasn’t sure if I’m a real person as the order was placed late. This is unacceptable.

This is my favourite Chinese takeaway that Ive tried in Coventry! The delivery time is quite long which is the only downside but it does come on time and the food is consistently delicious!!

Shocking!!! Ordered for delivery and was told it would be an hour, which was ok, New years eve, expected it to be busy. Hour and a half later called to find out where my food was to be told it was on its way .... Not great but its a 5 minute trip .... 2 hours later, still waiting.

Delicious food & great value for money! The girl on the phone was super helpful. Will definitely order from here again & would recommend to anyone!

My go-to takeaway, always delicious and very good portion sizes 😋😋Has always been on time whether for collection or delivery (when I lived close enough for delivery that is!). I live on the other side of Nuneaton now and would rather drive to Coventry than go to the other restaurants nearer to me - they just dont compare.Staff has always been friendly and straight-forward.Highly highly recommended ☺️

The recepnitist or lady that answers the phone is useless, rude and has no understanding that the customer might be right!!!Food is good, but the experience of ordering is ××××.Obviously a family member, otherwise would be sacked.EMPLOY SOMEONE THAT CAN SPEAK ENGLISH

I use them every time, every time the food is great. Really fresh, not sloppy and oily like alot of other places. The people saying its terrible know nothing, probably giving a bad rating because they are accustom to eating sloppy, oily trash all their life and dont like change.So to sum it up, if you like sloppy, oily trash. Dont eat from here.

Wouldn’t recommend it, I ordered shredded duck fried rice and from all the Chinese I’ve had this one been the weirdest one.

Absolutely vile! Chicken Fried rice was passable but the popular meat dumplings are the most disgusting thing Ive ever tasted. Its the next day and I still cant get the smell of them out of my mind.Delivery was also 80 minutes.

Person on the phone needs improved customer service as it hard conversation to place the order. Food is good.

Have been ordering for ages and I realised that the Duck and Mushroom portion has more Mushrooms than Duck...It used to be the other way around. So .....dissapointed. Actually just ordered the same thing again (believe it or notand it was 13 minutes late, and also..hmm...Not To Much DUCK!!!! I like mushrooms, but I payed for DUCK!

This is disgraceful. Was 30+ minutes late. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Such a joke. They should definitely be ashamed.

I won’t be eating here again as it has 1 star on scores on the doors for kitchen and 1 for management, even though the sticker is on the door has a 5 ! Disgusting I buy from here all the time

One of the best Chinese Takeaways in Coventry. Always on time, reasonably priced. They serve really nice Noodle dishes, especially recommending Pad Thai. Never had to wait for long, food always delivered quickly and never have I had any problems with mixed up orders. My 1st choice for Chinese Takeaway.

Food was very poor. Delivery was supposed to be free but got charged £1.50 Would not recommend.

Lets start with the delivery - well over an hour and a half for us waiting, when we were given a forty minute expectation. In the end we called the restaurant, only to be placed on hold for ten minutes whilst they found our order.The food - when it finally arrived wasnt what we ordered, and everything tasted stale. The meat was absolutely disgusting - we threw it all away. Avoid this place like the plague... Very disappointing.

The food is unbearable. Please do not expect anything which is even mildly authentic. The minced pork can only be compared to dog food - with regards to taste and smell. The Chicken Chop Suey is horrendously bad and tastes like it was soaked in a ready-made sauce. The ingredients dont taste fresh and this was by far one of the worst meals in a while. I WOULD LIKE TO DISCOURAGE ANYONE WHO IS READING THIS FROM EATING THERE. This restaurant is HORRIBLE!
