MoreBeautiful place, great wine, caring staff, perfect family day out
Wonderful views both inside and out, definitely worth a visit. Best to book ahead for meals in the area, particularly on weekends.Accessibility options available or drivers can drop passengers at the entrance level before parking in carpark.
MoreAlways a great exhibition on.Amazing wine.Great food
Fabulous. The gallery is great and had a glass of wine at he cellar door which was a great space also
MoreWonderful collection of Australian art in a sublime setting. Very reasonable entry price. Allow about 2 hours for a relaxed viewing.
MoreGreat place to chill out and view some art. Has a cafe on the side of the complex. the main complex is onto of the hill, which has limited parking but more at the bottom of the hill. Worth a visit.
MoreLarge in scale but small in rooms. Lovely spaces and some fabulous art. Some quite strange art too.
MoreLove this art museum a lot! Amazing artworks and views, staff are very friendly. Great experience here, enjoy the scenery over some nice food and drink.
MoreWe went when it was only when it’s cloudless. The art was black and white and boring. The same pieces were showed over and over again. The building has cobwebs and a spider inside. The actual building was nice and tall with nice open windows.
MoreBeautiful location for an art gallery, winery and restaurant.
Amazing place in all seasons. Perfect spot for day trip from Melbourne. Lovely art gallery(minimal entry feewith awesome views. Aspiring lovely story of the founders, shared in pics. Restaurant/cafe on site(check bookings). Wine tasting also an option or just take a walk around winery’s lush greens space. Lucky to be there around sunset and it was just magical.
MoreArt exhibition is a little esoteric.Wine tasting is $20 to sample their wines
Saw some art, drank some wine.
Absolutely stunning building, very interesting artwork. Beautiful restaurant
A well designed and landscaped vineyard, restaurant and museum. The museum has rotating displays featuring different artists. The ground is beautiful in autumn colours when I last visited. Outdoor seating on timber deck among trees with views to lily ponds, vineyard are relaxing indeed.
MoreMust visit when travelling to Healesville. Young couple will enjoy to get some memories with wine and dine.Where others will definitely will have great fun around courtyard of this wonderful location.
MoreLot more than a vineyard and art gallery. Views are breathtaking and nice places to walk around. This is autumn time pics so everything looks even better.
MoreBeautiful grounds and picturesque view. There is a fee to tour the museum and they have various show throughout the year. The staff are knowledgeable and took time to explain whats in the gallery. The grounds are well maintained so perfect for an afternoon walk, picnic, or lunch at the restaurant overlooking the pond.
MoreA beautiful spacious art gallery that has featured some notable collections, nestled in one of the most picturesque areas of the state. Quiet enough to be relaxing, close enough to the city to warrant a short day trip. Also has a restaurant on-site, but its close enough to Healesville to make that part of a day trip as well. Glad we made the trip!
MoreThis place is stunning!! the grounds are so beautiful to take a walk in before or after having lunch in the restaurant. At the entrance there’s an art instalment that looks like a decrepit building but when you go inside it’s something else. There’s a beautiful pond that looks like it’s straight out of a Monet painting with lily pads and willow trees. The gallery itself is also beautiful. I 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to do a day trip or visiting the area :)
MoreVery quiet place..great place to relax with mountain scenery, pond and grass land..Museum is really valuable place..you can enjoy amazing paintings with reasonable price..love this place..
Morehave been here for couple of times. the view are stunning same as tue museum itself, the artiest and the artwork from time to time. there is a restaurant next to it, we would make a reservation next time to try the amazing food
MoreThis place is amazing. It was a great experience.Went here before the pandemic when exploring Yarra Valey areas.
MoreStunning situation and great architecture.Friendly and efficient staff.Gallery well laid out and thought provoking exhibition. The grounds make for a relaxing afternoon after lunch and wine tasting.
MoreThe building is incredible, absolutely stunning surrounds, lots of places to sit on the beautiful grass while having a wine overlooking the little lake and vineyards. The art gallery was beautiful, and a lovely activity to accompany wine tasting. Highly recommend.
MoreAmazing exhibition such beauty. Enjoy our visit immensely.
Wine & Modern Art in a picturesque setting. Simply beautiful. Had wine tasting only and impressed with whites.
MoreA must see in the Yarra valley. Art and wine tasting, perfect. Amazing manicured grounds and striking architecture.
MoreWhat a gem! Delightfully surprised at the variety in the current exhibition. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit to these gorgeous grounds. Be sure to enter in the house / art work upon entering the property.
MoreStunning setting to process the confronting reality of the 1950s inhumane treatment of the indigenous residents of the Maralinga region, depicted on canvas and through glass objects. The pendants represent the destruction of the primary food source- the yam.
MoreGood place to visit. Being from NZ this place is close to landscaps of Aoteroa. Museum was informative and I got to know about Atomic tests UK did im 1950s in SA. Also, how atrocious people were towards Aboriginal people back in the days. They had a wall with 40 pieces of ears of aboriginal people, obviously not real but depicting what has happened in the past. 1 less star just because they can improve in terms of customer service but again that is subjective. Cheers!
MoreThe view was unbeatable, but the gallery itself was a little bit limited.
I loved the architecture, it is small but beautiful and well integrated into the landscape
MoreA precious place in the Yarra valley this years Archibald was really amazing I walked in the door and I was in the presence of true greatness a real treat the emotions I felt you cannot get from pixels it must be the pigment or the energy... enjoy and support your local artists... I do miss the tin cow days
Morewow what views 👍👍👍went to see The Archibald art exhibition.superb. food van outside with yummy food.nice coffee and gret wine of course.
MoreMissing the Tin Cows who used to live in the gardens. Excellent hanging space enhanced by subtle effecting exhibit lighting. Not cheap but well worth the drive. Cafe food is quite expensive.
MoreNice rural art museum but be aware that when they have an exhibition they give priority to patrons who purchase tickets online. You can also obtain tickets at the door but if its a busy time, you stand in a separate queue that doesnt move till the online queue clears. Never seen anything like it anywhere else. Youd think that you would queue for purchase of your ticket then join the one entry queue to enter on a first come first in basis but no.
MoreGreat art gallery in the Yarra Valley. Plan your trip as it can get very crowded during major exhibitions such as the Archibald.
MoreSuch a beautiful gallery its always worth a trip. Its about an hour and a quarter drive from Melbourne or you can get public transport. The exhibitions are fabulous and the grounds and buildings are spectacular. You can get a meal at the restaurant or a more casual bite to eat and coffee at the food trucks. I highly recommend a visit
MoreVery very beautiful area and the Gallery truly gorgeous and the Exhibition you couldnt buy 🖤❤💙💛💗
MoreCame here for the Archibald exhibition 2019. It was a big pull for the area and the museum was a great setting to display the art. Just a short drive (5 minsfrom Healesville Town. The muesem is a modern space with restaurant. Entry was $16 for adult and concessions a bit cheaper. The display and lighting was good and the acoustics of the halls worked well. We saw some great art and some not so great art 😉, I guess thats the beauty. The gallery has a little gift shop at the end. The lawns and pond are well looked after. Overall we spent about 1 hour looking at all the pieces in the 4 large rooms.
MoreWhat a beautiful winery set in incredible scenery. The architecture and presentation of the winery is one of the best Ive ever seen. The wine tasting was very educational about the winery and its process. The wine itself is stunning and highly recommended. One of the best in Yarra Valley without question.
MoreWe came to see the Archibald exhibition. The exhibition was fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful. Follow up with a coffee and snacks overlooking the lake and vines, then a cheeky tasting or two makes it a great day out.
MoreThis amazing gallery will delight both inside and out . The collection is unique and complemented by visiting shows. A commitment to indigenous artists is evident. Make sure you have time to walk the grounds and bring a picnic rug if you can. Food and wine available from the gallery cafe.
MoreBeautiful building in gorgeous grounds housing an impressive permanent collection & special exhibits, currently Tracy Moffat
MoreWe visited here on Christmas holidays and reached there just before closing. Still we found quite a lot of visitors hanging around. The museum sits on a very modern and fortress like building surrounded beautiful gardens and water features. The museum itself has fewer displays contrasting to the size of facility. However they had a very nice fine dining restaurant, which along with the surrounding gardens makes this place a enjoyable visit.
MoreStunning landscapes beautifully maintained its breathtaking and well designed. Took people here for a birthday they could not stop raving about how good the food and staff were. Next time Im taking the family its a place with some very unique sculptures and art as well
MoreCame for the art gallery, stayed for the coffee and views. Wonder gallery space, surrounded by beautiful views, a restaurant and winery. There are a few vegan options at the cafe, but not at the restaurant. The cafe is situated on a tree cover platform.
MoreA cozy museum with an excellent exhibition space in a magnificent natural setting with a restaurant and a winery next door. A must-visit place in the heart of the Yarra Valley.
