Museum with a collection of over 30,000 objects relating to Islamic art & calligraphy.
A must visit if you are into old cultures and history of Islam. There are thousands of items on display and I cant thank Mr. Tareq and his wife enough for their contributions all these years. There are 2 museums, one is a museum for Islamic Art, and another is a standard one where metalwork, weapons, and miniature items are placed. The entry fee is 2 kd and a single ticket is applicable on both the museums, so not bad at all. However, as of today the first museum is closed due to renovations and is slated to open in H1 2023. The location here is of the second museum, the first museum is just beside Sultan Center a few blocks away. The museum of Islamic Art is open. Do visit, it is really good!
Its beautiful and very interesting. However, to make the most of the visit I recommend to go in a guided tour.
Impressive collectionInteresting place to visit
Wonderful collection. Beautiful calligraphic paintings, graceful vases and carpets, etc. Worth to spend couple of hours.Easy to find using Google maps. Big parking lot next to the museum. But be aware - on Friday only half day working time.
تجربة رائعة.مكان جميل ومليء بعبق التاريخ والحضارة العربية والإسلامية.جزى الله القائمين عليه خير الجزاء.
Lovely art and history...and nice people!!
I really love this place, make sure to take an appointment with the guided tour so you can get the most interesting information out of it. It has lots of historian items such as old Ka’aba’s cover, also you’ll see diff type of writings and paintings. A must visit plce in Kuwait.
One of my favorite places in Kuwait. A treasure trove of calligraphy, civilization and culture all nestled in Jabrita.
Its good. But there is no guide. Most of these items are very interesting. Given on loan to SACC.
great
Beautiful pieces of art. Well worth visiting and for the kd2 entrance fee.
Very reach collection of antiques, from many regions. Definitely worth to visit.
Wonderful! Lets you realize the rich Islamic culture..
Must see if you are interested in collecting valuable items.
Excellent museum...

Its the best place that everyone should visit
More interesting than the Kuwait National Museum. Great collection of Islamic pieces especially the jewelry
Really great museum to check around! 👍🏻

When you see all this history in one place thats something
Absolutely loved the place
Impressive collection, very nice museum
Amazing
It is a personal collection of antiques!
Never been there
Great collection
A great personal collection, difnetly worth visiting.
Awesome place. If you are interested in history this place is a must visit for you. Its behind the English school on street 5. The google map took me to a slightly different place but with the help of some locals I was able to find the place. The building is having the clear name "Tareq Rajab museum" written on it. This place is having hundreds and hundreds of artifacts really hats off for the great effort. This museum is among the normal houses so see closely when you are finding the place. I hope it will help the people who will go in the future. Take your time to absorb the rich history of past. I loved this place. The ticket is 2 KD per person.
Very excellent and contains lots of the folklore of Kuwait.
Every one must see it!
Great place
Amazing museum

Amazing place to visit to look at islamic history.
Impressive
The museum is amazing! I love the artifacts displayed there. However, some of them werent labelled at all so we didnt really get much information that we needed there. The entrance fee is 2KD per person.
More interesting than the Kuwait National Museum. Great collection of Islamic pieces especially the jewelry
The most amazing museum I ever visited. It has by far the largest collection of Islamic artwork. The atmosphere is beautiful and very friendly.
A nice museum. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice museum. There were two museums very close to each other. One for articrafts and the other for jewelry. Interesting to see. In summer time inside is very cold be prepared.
One of the best place to visit, should take kids along they will learn a lot..
Great art pieces
[Impressive collection for Islamic Calligraphy]A private collection underneath a residential home, but the way of representation is impressive. Entry fee is 2 KD and its not a big one (2 stairs), no wheelchair access. It focuses on Islamic calligraphy and exhibits. Within 1-2 hours it can be covered and its accessible without advanced planning or reservations.
This Museum was destroyed at the time of invasion in 1991 and renovated now it is a memorial to the Young Kuwaiti patriots.
It has buetiful accesories and clothes and guns it amazing
Superb museum.

The museum was very well organised. Despite the fact that its really hard to find the museum, my friends and I enjoyed doing the college project about it.
