Tara's Tea Rooms - Tea room in Cork, Ireland
If you havent had the pleasure of going here your missing out, fantastic breakfast and we were delighted to see that they havent uped the prices, like so many others, very relaxing ambience, a must go to, delicious cakes all home made. Love love this place. Louise Murphy.
Delightful place, food was delish, staff were so friendly, cant wait to go back 😊
Best breakfast anywhere, we love Donal.. (Rest of the staff ok too lol)
Delicious tea, loved the carrot and walnut cupcake. Lovely atmosphere and great music. Definitely recommended 👌🏻
Fab spot. Great food. Amazing staff. Great value. Fab bfast.
My husband and I were in Cork only briefly, but we found time to visit twice- once for afternoon tea and once for breakfast. Highly recommend- everything we had was excellent.
Don’t understand why reviews are so good. Got eggs Benedict and the Hollandaise sauce was overdone had no flavor whatsoever:(
Really nice Cafe. The 1st coffee was so nice, I ordered for a 2nd.
Lovely spot. Good egg Benedict and tea selection
Tara Tea Rooms are very cute. The staff are lovely and very helpful and the food is delicious.
Food here is great and very reasonable, the chicken baguette is top notch and the soup is great too.
Lovely food. All day breakfast. Great food and great service 👍
Its a comfortable and cozy place. The staff are kind and the food is delicious. We go here often.
Nice cosy cafe /restaurant,,good menu choice, and very friendly staff
loveliest afternoon tea here :such good value for €15, cheapest I’ve found anywhere else. The scones were fresh and warm, there were gluten free options as well! Earl grey tea was lovely and everything came very fast. Very generous portions for the afternoon tea, comes with either a sandwich, toasted sandwich or a panini, which are all good sizes. Brilliant place and so unique and vintage ❤️
Irish breakfast and pancake are very good, the price is ok, not too expansive
Great breakfast, great service and great price..what more could one desire. I highly recommend this establishment.
The breakfast is very nice, I have breakfast in there since I arrived in Cork around November 2021
Nestled on the buzzing Mccurtain street, Tara’s Tea Room is one of the cozy cafés that should’nt be missed. Famous for breakfast, brunch as well as afternoon tea, this quirky café offers a wide variety of menu.Every nook and corner looks elegant and aesthetic. Moreover, the food served was a treat to our tastebuds. We had ordered Irish breakfast, eggs benedict, scones with jam and fresh cream and black coffees. The texture for the eggs benedict was absolutely charming and it tasted as delicious as it looked. The scones were so fresh that they melted in our mouth and left a lingering taste of cream and jam.I would absolutely recommend this place and these food items for all the food lovers! ♥️
Best Irish breakfast I have tried in half a year. Really tasty and just a surprising portion for traveller! An opportunity for improvement - a plate could be warmed up/kept warm before serving as while enjoying this meal bit by bit - it cools down.
Amazing small and cosy tea room! Great prices and friendly staff! The eggs benedict are amazing!
Lovely little spot with fantastic coffee, tasty granola and eggs, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere.
Super cute decor and very good customer service. The food and drinks are delicious and the price-quality ratio is very good as well. I highly recommend!
Had a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast with tea and pancakes and a cappuccino. Food was fresh and delicious. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
Lovely and unique place..Nice food &coffees
Really cute place for breakfast and lunch. Tasty food and really friendly efficient service! This is a regular lunchtime spot and would highly recommend checking it out!
First time in th city in over a year and a half. My favourite cafe was closed so I was recommended to go to Taras Tea Rooms where I ordered Eggs Benedict. Hardly any Hollandaise and what was the equivalent of two hard boiled eggs on top. Very disappointed and hungry leaving. Thankfully, I wasnt expected to pay. Not sure if it was a once off or what but once bitten...
We stopped over on a lark after some appointments in city center. Breakfast was delicious, the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend!!
The cakes are very good. The staff is not the friendliest ever though. And I think they should have at least one vegan option for cakes. Vegan muffins or scones, so easy to do, and taste exactly like the dairy versions. They do offer a gluten-free option, but as a business we need to consider more sustainable options. And veganism is without a doubt the way to go.
The sandwiches were amazing. I had the ham and Brie in a wrap and I’ve never had a ham and Brie sandwich that tasted this good! Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu!
I love this place! The atmosphere, the food... is perfect! You need to visit Taras Tea Rooms for a good Irish Breakfast in Cork City!
Had breakfast there this morning. Scrambled egg and toast. It was delicious. Lovely place and decor.Very friendly. The cakes available looked delicious. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful tea room, attentive staff and wonderful food 👍
Bang average restaurant. Food is over cooked. Service is very snooty. The sausages are full of grease. The eggs are over heated. The bacon is full of fat and If you want to eat a decent breakfast, plenty of better options in cork. The hot chocolate is okay. 1 out of 5
Our favourite place! Delicious food, fabulous and friendly staff, theyll always do their best to get us a table... and remember our sometimes awkward orders without even asking! The afternoon tea looks fab (from seeing others having it).... its on my do do list with the girls!5*
This is an absolutely delightful place and have had numerous good experiences here. The decoration is unique and adorable, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is reasonably priced and always of the best quality. I cant recommend it enough.
Take Away Afternoon Tea- Gluten Free- Simply DeliciousMy daughters & son organized lockdown Afternoon Tea for my birthday -what a treat. We had one gluten free selection & one standard selection. The whole experience was 5 star. The presentation, freshness & most importantly taste of every morsel was delicious, we enjoyed every bite. Well done to all at Tara’s kitchen- such a lovely service to provide at this time, would highly recommend the experience.
Lockdown is here again but we just had a takeaway afternoon tea from Taras Tea Rooms and it was the most amazing food I have eaten in a very long time. Can"t wait to visit again and eat in their restaurant next time. Five stars well deserved. Just added a glass of Prosecco to complete the experience.
Fantastic spot for breakfast or lunch. Top class food and lovely staff in lovely surroundings. Just love the China tea pots and the tea just tastes better!!
Nice, quiet place. Retro feeling, kind waitresses. The food is not bad, and their tea is delicious.I would recommend to try it once.
great little cafe near our hotel. Coffee was great and so was the food. I ordered eggs benedict and a cappuccino. Id come back here again
A perfect little Boutique Coffee Shop in the heart of Cork City fantastic for breakfast/brunch and afternoon tea. Kate and her husband make you feel very homely, and when you come in the smell takes you to an old bakery shop with their homemade cakes, scones and pastries. Staff are very nice and polite, and trained to a high standard.I would recommend you to try the afternoon tea, scones and their coffees. Their cappuccino is probably one of the nicest soya cappuccinos I have ever tried in Cork, always warm and tasteful.I wouldnt miss this place if you are here for a long or short visit. Opening times are very flexible, but bear in mind busiest time is between 12 and 2. You will not be disappointed coming here.
Had breakfast here two days in a row, on the second day the staff remembered us and our order! Beautiful inside and out. Wish I had bought a teacup and saucer set while I was there!
We had a spectacular breakfast here. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful to us. This place was full of locals and as tourists, we felt like we hit the jackpot finding a nice breakfast spot like this. I had the eggs bendict and my husband had the medium breakfast (which was HUGE... I cant imagine what a large breakfast looks like). We both had specialty coffee drinks as well. It was beautifully presented and tasty.
We ended up there three times! We popped in for a light lunch the day we arrived in Cork and jealously eyed the scones on another mans plate. We vowed to return for breakfast the next day and did. On both visits, our servers were friendly and the food was great. We started breakfast with the scones and didnt think to tell them to hold the toast with our eggs, so that was WAY too much. We told ourselves we should force ourselves to try another place for breakfast the next day and walked to a place that turned out to be closed. Fate had decided. We headed back to Taras for an exact repeat of the previous breakfast with scones. The place is filled with natural light and mismatched seating and place settings/tea sets. Theres a nice variety of fresh baked goods to choose from, and we spotted a new cake being frosted while we sat there. It was nice having a pot of loose leaf tea, as well. And theres outdoor seating, which is quite nice on a summer morning.
So beautiful, I love the decoration and aesthetic vintage feel to the place! The food was gorgeous and staff very nice. Definitely pay it a visit ❤️
A very cosy tea room. It is decorated with a lot of love and the stuff is very friendly. The tea and the food we had was delicious!
Great service. Fantastic food. Coped with a large party when we booked ahead. A lovely place and would highly recommend.
Fab! Stopped off for lunch in the city centre (as I usually doand just caught the end of the breakfast menu. Seeing Eggs Benedict I leaped at the chance to have it (love EB).It was glorious. Crisp salty bacon, perfect poached egg, and creamy hollandaise. Well seasoned, with wedges of toast and butter on the side. Perfect!!Staff are so so nice, its a most eclectic place, quirky cosy and ever so charming.
