Small, warm spot with a large patio serving authentic Mexican tacos, elote & cold beer.
Got the steak taco and chicken taco (only chicken is in pictures), both were good but small in size. Price is decent.Churros were a big disappointment, were hard and had barely any taste. Not close to real churros’ taste. Please notice they’re automatically charging 15% gratitude.
The tacos are so nice !! But I recommend especially the TOTOPOS !! I saw a review on Google that it was a must and I agree ! It’s a must if you come to that place ! Very Yummy 😋
The topopos are amazing get these!!! The tacos are singles and theyre are delish. I got al pastor, asada and rajas. Very tasty. I would come back here. Its a shame I couldnt buy the corn mask flour here though.
Amazing Mexican food!!! The tacos are amazing but the tortilla of this place is the best I have ever had :)… very recommended the Elote.. the sweet corn 🌽 with the cheese is just delicious 😋
Quality ingredients, limited menu but very tasty and the totopos alone are worth the visit.
The tastiest tacos I had in the US - the tongue tacos were delicious, so was fish and beef.Totopos corn chips were also very tasty and really good guacamole and salsa. Very friendly and fast service. I will be back!
This is a gem in south beach. I’m hesitant to write a review because I don’t want y’all in on the secret, but I love the place so I have to share. Great chips, tacos and I absolutely love their spicy margarita - Exactly how I like it. Reasonable prices for the area
Good spot for tacos and margaritas, barbacoa and pollo were the 2 best imo. The patio is a bit small, tacos can be a bit more juicy but overall good flavor. Margaritas esp the passionfruit x spicy was very good and had a good amount of tequila, recommend trying to pair w food. Blue tortillas were nice and soft, fresh, the corn on cob was also a good pairing
What a great restaurant! We have been there every day during our vacation in miami. The food is delicious and nearly all of it is gluten free. The staff is very nice!
Holy guacamole this place was fantastic!! The thick chips were super interesting and tasty. The texture was amazing… crispy with a soft center, hot and perfectly salted. The guacamole was out of this world good!! The tacos and corn were also very yummy! The service was also great! 5 stars all around!
Definitely get the totopos & quesadillas (love the layer of crispy cheese twist, chefs kiss delicious quesadillas!)The ellote, and tacos are worth having as well - plenty for vegetarian options here. Dont miss out on the first 2 though.
Great place, very flavorful food and good options.
So grateful this place was close by! Many gluten free options and delicious food. They even have Margaritas. Couldn’t ask for a better place to eat Mexican food!
These tacos are simple but soooo full of flavor! We tried the pollo, asada, barbacoa and carnitas. All of them were amazing! The churros were pretty good too 😋
Excellent food. Easy and friendly service. Very good for diabetics as most of the food is low carb. The black corn chips are amazing and the tacos are the best I’ve had!!
I go here every time Im in Miami for the freshly made totopos! Great tacos, too, but the totopos are a must order. All of the food is also very reasonably priced for South Beach which is a plus
No. Overpriced tacos and flavorless meats. They didnt even bother throwing the tortilla (they use one per taco-real heads know the dealin a pan for a quick second. Falls apart as soon as you try to eat it. The massive hunks of meat in the asada may look good on IG but trying to chomp through it with a raw tortilla is not the move. Crumble city.
Flavorful organic blue corn tacos, yummy elotes and a strong margarita for happy hour.
Great for vegetarians, so many options! For a spicy choice, go for the Rajas taco. The huilacoche taco was also quite yummy. No pictures because it looked too good to wait! It’s also pretty affordable, price wise.
I want to bathe in a bathtub full of the green sauce they give you on the side, it was sooo good. The barbacoa tacos were the best Ive ever had and the service was friendly and quick too 🤤😍
Tacos are a decent size but tasteless and dry and note, they don’t come with guacamole. That’s something you’ll have to order on the side.Order took forever as well. These are probably the worst tacos I’ve ever had. Margarita was subpar. Totopos were so greasy as well.Do not recommend at all, not sure why these reviews are all so positive as they were so misleading.
The food was so so so good, The reason why I’m leaving a three star review is because the place was not clean, the tables were sticky and there were bugs and cockroaches on the walls. This made for a very unpleasant experience but again if you don’t mind these things the food was absolutely amazing I would recommend the mahi tacos. Unfortunately the only photo I have is of the cockroach so I do not want to post that but the service could be improved a little bit it look like there was only one lady in the front running the entire checkout process which made things a little bit slow. All in all I don’t know if I would come back here due to the cleanliness but I would definitely recommend food if you don’t mind that.
Solid Mexican themed fast service restaurant located off of Collins in SoBe. Flavors are spot on, and the service is great.
Very simple and nice place. Food was very good))tacos divine))))
When it comes to the tacos , it has way to much variable in it . Thats why if the taste, visuals and combination are reach balance you will have amazing product, a masterpiece that you can eat even with your eyes only and have taste of it on your tongue papillae .That’s what i got here at Taquiza.Beautiful combination of classic tacos with chef vision of how to serve it .Definitely will come back here.
Tacos are amazing. Beef is tender and the fish was superb.
6 small single corn tortilla tacos, 10oz Margherita, 10oz IPA, salsa no chips over $80. The radish garnish was bigger than the meat in the taco
Great tasting food. The way they bring out the food needs lots of improving. They bring out dish by dish sporadically, as oppose to your entire meal for everyone in your group at the same time. Every dish took a really long time to come out. Even something simple as a quesadilla but again, food tastes great!
Must go in South Beach. Perfect tacos, perfect margaritas ($7 for happy hour and lots of varieties to try). Shout out to Elizabeth for always hookin it up, you rock.
Had the pleasure to visit Taquiza again. Its crowded as always. We had cochinita, huitlacoche(very falvorful), and one with grasshopper, elote, and red wine sangria.
Good location right next to south beach!Service was wonderful and fast, both indoor space and patio seating was clean and comfortable. I did however find a hair in one of the tacos which was regrettable 🤔
Beautiful handmade blue corn tortilla and tortilla chips, fresh house made salsa, EXCELLENT passion fruit sangria and the blistered sheshito pepper tacos was perfection. Wonderful street front seating and our was slightly elevated so it made for a great experience. Cant wait to go back!!!
Tacos with a view! The food here is fresh, delicious and offers exciting flavors. Wish I’d gone back for seconds. Definitely recommend!
Super delicious homemade blue corn tortillas and fresh ingredients. We had shrimp tacos and chicken taco, plus a side of totopos and salsa. Margaritas were delicious too. They were a bit understaffed and the floors were a little sticky, but the food was delicious!
Place was busy and pretty packed. We were able to get seated and so glad we decided to go eat here. The food quality and taste was amazing. One thing I wasnt too sure of was their drinks as that left to be desired. If you are in town try it.....
Delicious tacos as good as can be expected north of the border. Really really good. Don’t miss the homemade blue corn tortilla chips and queso. Went three days in a row for lunch.
All I can say is yum. The Totopos was amazing! The warm blue corn chips are to die for, a must order. The tacos were just as good. I had the chicken and the veggie. Great outdoor seating for a little people watching.
Authentic tacos with super flavorful fillings. We tried a michelada and a tamarind jarritos, perfect for the Miami heat! Tacos were served on blue corn tortilla which is delicious! The Mexican street corn with cotija cheese and salsa is amazing.
So pleasantly surprised. Best tacos Ive had in a while. The totopos were so yummy that I forgot to snap a photo until they were almost gone. I was visiting from out of town and... my, oh my. Couldnt have picked a better place. You must eat here. The margs were delish, as well. 👌
TOTOPOS - get them! They are unique and you will be craving well after you’ve finish the last one. Crispy exterior, yet a soft texture on the inside makes a perfect bite when dipping into the queso or salsa that’s provided. Their tacos aren’t too shabby. Love the incorporation of the blue masa that hand grounded, daily - freshness at its best. Delicious.
The totopos and tostada were incredible. Definitely get those. However all the tacos we got were just ok. Felt over hyped and not very tasty.
I felt spoiled when I went. I really liked the atmosphere of the place and really enjoyed the people working. You can sit at a table and order with a code or walk in and order. They bring the food out to you. I got there shortly after 1200p on a Tuesday and there was one couple there. By the time I left around 115p it was starting to fill up. I got the lengua (fave), conchinita (second fave - and a recommendation from the lady that took my orderand al pastor (Ive had better so Im biased but they were still goodtacos. I gained the courage to try the chapulines. It was not my favorite and Im terrified of all bugs...but just wanted to prove to myself I could do it. So try it when you go. Split one with someone just so you can say you did. Its and interesting flavor but in the end my brain prevailed and tainted the situation.I would definitely go back here. They were pushing the churros while I was there so Im pretty sure those would be delish. Also saw a lot of people with elotes. Indoor and outdoor seating - get there!
So we decided to go bc it was suggested by dinners drive ins and dives. Never saw that specific show but we thought it was a good recommendation.I thought we would have a Mexican in the store front. I was wrong. 2 European and good looking girls took our orders. Kinda stern but not rude. They explained the menu and how much it was.Tacos where I come from are not as expensive but we are here. $5 each x6. Ordered some totopos and beers.Totopos can fool You. It may look like a small order but it isn’t. It’s good for 3-4. The tacos are flavorful and all come in blue corn. If hungry order 3. But 2 should do the work.
We had the best experience at this restaurant today. We are visiting the area and followed Google reviews to try this place for good tacos. We stumbled upon some amazing tacos, delicious margaritas and the best fresh, in house, handmade tortillas ever. I have a wheat allergy and have to eat gluten free so when I saw gluten free churros on the menu I knew I had to try them. They did not disappoint!!! They were delicious!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and am excited to order their food and have it shipped to Kentucky.
Came here for happy hour 4-7 for margaritas. Wasnt expecting the chips, salsa & guac to be so good!!! Paulo suggested the blue corn tortillas, and it was the best homemade chips Ive ever had. Must stop in South Beach!!
Food was delicious! Customer service was excellent too! I ordered the elote and mahi taco, both exceeded my expectations. I enjoy sour things but my passion fruit margarita was a bit too sour, I still enjoyed it though and was happy with the price.
Amazing tacos! Highly recommend the asada and mahi tacos totopos with guacamole are a MUST very nice clean place
Best tacos you will have in Miami by far. The place is not so great but the food is amazing. The impossible chorizo is a must and churros are the hidden gem
Nice place for happy hour! Drinks are really good - love that they have skinny marg option. I dont think the totopos lived up to the hype from the reviews but the rest of the food did. Have to try a grasshopper taco for the experience. Street corn and sauce was delicious. Quesadillas were yummy too.
The totopos here are so good that we have actually been willing to drive all the way from Orlando just to order them. 1 serving is supposed to serve 2, but in my family, each person gets 2 orders of totopos. Their horchata is the most flavorful that Ive ever had. As are their camarón tacos.
