Taqueria Torres | Mexican Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Cleburne, United States
Service was fast. They charged $8 for grilled onions and another $6 for grilled onions again. We didnt even notice until after. The pastor was dry and overcooked. The meat nachos were not that great either.
The people were very nice and the food was excellent I loved it still great
If you like Mexican food, youll like this place.
Amazing food and very affordable!!!
If you are looking for good margaritas, this isnt the right place.
Very nice staff , food came out in good time . The waitress was always readily available for myself , and my two friends. We ordered from the lunch menu , good prices , good food and good tea !
For a little hole in the wall I love this place. The food is always the same the two waitresses that work there are always there during the day so you always know the quality of service you will get. Love love love this place. It is a local favorite for Mexican food.
I am so glad this place has managed to survive for the last 2 years. The food here is fantastic! The service is spectacular and the ambiance improved over the former location. You wont be disappointed.
The food is OK at best. Chips and salsa aren’t good. There is a problem with the kitchen preparing the orders correctly. They’ve messed our order up the last 3 times we’ve eaten here and the prices on the menu are not correct so be prepared for your bill to be more expensive. In short this place isn’t worth the price. There are better Mexican restaurants in the surrounding area.
Its a touch of good Mexican food. Try the Carne Guisada
Usually very good but today I dont know what happened Im so sad.It was awful today.Hopefully will get better again.
Home style food. Great fast friendly staff.
I ate here once, and that will be it. I waited 2 hours for my meal, which was eggs and ham.. CHAF IN is so much better.
Massive Texas Burrito, great chips and salsa. Friendly staff. Come hungry and take the rest home for later.
Not bad at all.Yall should give this place a shot. The Barbacoa was on point.
Amazing food cant wait to go again
Great service and great food. Its quieter and more relaxed than a lot of restaurants in Cleburne. Its one of our familys favorite places to eat.
Great food! Definitely give them a try if you are looking for some good Mexican food. Very friendly staff as well.
We are fairly regular customers here, because the food is decent and was fairly priced. However we had a guest who wanted to return to this restaurant because she liked the prices. So yesterday we went and ordered our food off the menu as usual and split the check. But when we went to pay for it, our guest waa told the price, and she thought they included our food on her bill because it was so expensive. The lady replied that the prices had changed and went up, and that the prices on the menu she gave us to order from were not correct...! What???So she reluctantly paid, and we paid for our food next. It was also higher than the menu indicated when we ordered. I told the cashier its not right that we ordered food based on the menu prices, and you wait until we are paying to tell us the menu is wrong and we have to all pay the new prices. (Which were noticeably higher). The most she could say was "sorry" but made no attempt to make it right. So we just paid and left. This isnt the first issue we had here. A few months ago we asked for shrimp fajitas and they said they couldnt do that. Even though they have items on the menu made with shrimp....why? No explanation. Just a "no"Also the time before last, I ordered cheese sauce on my enchiladas, so another person with us asked if they could get a side of that cheese sauce with their fajitas. They outright just said "no we cant do that" so we inquired why and she said she would ask in the back but knows the answer will be no. She left and came back and said they said "no" and that she knew they would say that because thats just how they are (or something to that effect.)I was willing to look past these other things, but charging a noticeably higher price AFTER our meal than the menu indicated was the last straw. The food here is good but not any better than the other Mexican restaurants in town. There are plenty of places to choose from so this will be the last time we eat here. We will just go down the road and eat elsewhere.
Went here for lunch on a recommendation. Not impressed, took a long time to get my fajitas. They were cold and appeared to be reheated and tasted kinda soapy. Will not return.
My husband and I stumbled upon this little gem today. Service was friendly, fantastic and prompt. The food was delicious and authentic, but a tad bland in comparison to other area restaurants. As I understand it though, authentic mexican food from Mexico is a bit bland. Non the less, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, service and the ambiance was very pleasant. Definitely will make it back for more.😊
We love this place. Everything weve had has been fantastic and the service is very friendly.
I was told by a server that place closes at 8 and was kicked out. Even though door sign and menu says open till 9
Great food and friendly service! Best enchiladas Ive had in a while, and the self-serve salsa had just the right kick. Looking forward to stopping by again!
Oh my gosh this is guenine Mexican food and it is so good I love this place and the. Waitresses are very nice and they take good care of you .its the best Mexican food you can put in your mouth .good work staff.we will definitely be back .
By far the best Mexican food joint in Cleburne, also fairly priced. This is a great location for lunch they are always quick and very nice with great service,
The place was kinda hard to find, but other than that. The Chicken Queso Nachos were fantastic. And our meal was cooked fresh and in our bellys before we knew it. The waitress was big help as well.
We ate there twice while visiting during lunch. They have the best chicken salad and fajitas. Will be on the list for our next visit to Cleburne.
This place was amazing, mad at myself for not finding it sooner. We each tried something different and was all so good. We even had to get some of the salsa to go. Servings were large i have lunch for tomorrow. I cannot say enough good. The staff was awesome too. Thank you for an amazing meal with what felt like family.
Excellent food. Fast and friendly service. We cant wait to eat here again.
This is a nice place, the time you get here you are received nicely. Food is great, had the chicken enchiladas verdes and they were delicious, didnt take long to serve the plate.Price range varies. Would recommend this 100 percent !! And will come back soon !!
Me and my husband first time here and absolutely disappointed. First of all you get Charged 1$ a basket for chips. Chips that are mot hot and fresh. Taste like the cheapest .99 tortilla chips you buy from Walmart. Gross! The flour and corn tortillas and not homemade. Same like they bought the 88. Cent pack for walmart or Krogers. Rita was so watered downed 😢. No taste. Fajitas were toasted and black. When we bought it to attention of the restaurant they said it was dark meat and it cooks that way. No honey Ive never had toasted meat like that.
Lovely place! Went with my husband to the new location (they were previously where chick-fil-a is now). They have amazing street tacos and great service. Our waiter/waitress were both so kind. For new comers they are located inside the red horse antique mall but theres a side entrance as well connected to the street. There is also a public parking lot right next to the entrance. Will be back in the near future!
Try the Sour Cream Echiladas & great overall taste of beans, rice, and Salsa. Great Meal, Great Value - Directly across from "City Hall" or others as myself might say the "OLD - REALLY OLD POST OFFICE" now that the New Post Office is 30 Years old. LOL, SERIOUSLY though; Great Meal and nice quiet atmosphere to enjoy at end of the day.
We were seated promptly and welcomed with a friendly demeanor. The wait for food was a little longer than expected but was forgiven after tasting the food. I had a variety of tacos and all were very good. I would definitely return to taste other dishes. Kuddos to the waitresses for being attentive and keeping the customers satisfied.
I have been a regular weekend customer for a long time. I went there today to get my usual 2 steak and potato burritos with pico, chese, and cilantro. Normally I get it for almost $14. Today they tried to charge me $21for the exact same thing. I tried to talk to them they refused to change the price. Very unhappy will not be going back.
Good food and Great service by our waitress Autumn she made sure our drinks were kept up and that we didnt need anything she was awesome
Wonderful food and a fair price!
Service was sooooooo slow, we were late coming back from lunch. Was only the second table in there, other table had only 3 people. They are not social distancing, no face mask, no gloves. In the 40 minutes we waited for our food we had to flag our waitress down for chips, one small bowl in 40 minutes for 3 people smh. Never got drink refills. Didnt get our full order. Also there was a Mexican soap opera on the TV were the actors were having sex and there was an 8 yr old girl right there in front of it. Gave 2 stars because the food was good but the service was unacceptable!!!
Pulled in, it looked deserted and thought wed try it. Its a hole in the wall with menus that are worn and chairs with extra screws. It was amazing.Best Mexican weve had in a lonnnnnng time. We had Chile Colorado and the chicken fajita chimi. The salsa was freshly made and perfect. Margaritas tasted & looked like koolaid but were extra potent.Loved it! No frills, no fake names, no glitz and shine. Just darn good Mexican food at a very reasonable price.Well be back!
I love this place for lunch....pretty frequently, actually. Lol. Friendly service, Good Tex Mex menu and Excellent Prices. Lunch specials starting at about $5. I am always served very quickly. Sometimes I do call-in for pickup. I always get the sour cream chicken enchiladas and havent been disappointed. At lunch for 2 meals, chips and hot sauce included, Im in and out the door for about $11. Cant get food this good thru a drive thru- especially at this price.
Was in town from Fort Worth. And wanted Mexican food. We googled Mexican restaurant and this place popped up. We decided to go. Their weren’t any cars out front. We went in and most of the tables were full. We ordered tacos and chicken tortilla soup. Everything tastes amazing we loved the food. and it’s 45 minute drive but we will be back! Highly recommend
Outstanding food a lot of places over spice, under or over cook veggies. This resteraunt is spot on wonderful. The food makes your mouth water because, it is a perfectly made, great aromas & eye pleasing. It is to find all these in one place. Yep this little hot spot is well worth its weight in gold. Try it Im sure youll love it. Awesome service. Clean. Great prices we paid 1/3 of the cost as other restaurants in the area. Huge servings. Fresh clean veggies. The place is a little cramped small parking lot. OMG..... THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL!!! Yummy yummy yummy for your yummy! Awesomely wonderfully fantastically worth it.
Its been several years since we have tried this so we decide to give it a second chance. There were 2 other small parties dining and the service was not good. Our kids had nachos that were stale and mushy. The Chicken fajitas were hot and good. The service alone is enough to keep us from returning.
Dont go here if you have major OCD. Fast service! This place was amazing. Food was perfect. Tons of Hot sauce and was not too spicy. Bill was so cheap so left a great tip! Would recommend to everyone! I will eat here more often
This is a really good joint. If youre looking for fancy, look elsewhere. If youre looking for some real-deal, great-tasting Mexican food, this is the place! To start with, their chips and salsa are EXCELLENT and things just get better from there. I always order a side of grilled Nopales with whatever I order for a spark of real Mexican flavor.
Amazing food! The portions for the price are outstanding! You definitely want to avoid the lunch rush but in the afternoon it’s an amazing mom&pops kind of restaurant. They have the very best flavor of food that’s authentic and one of the best Spanish rice I’ve ever tasted. Their customer service is also very good. The waitresses are attentive and friendly! Definitely recommend!
Small but homey mexican/texmex cuisine restaurant. From the street, not fancy, but those tend to be the better places for food anyway. I stopped because I was hungry and because the parking lot was pretty full...usually a good sign. Ordered the triple play and it was very good. Good portions and served piping hot. Staff is friendly with nice smiles and attentive but not overly so. Definitely worth a try
This place is great for authentic Mexican street tacos. They have a good selection of meats to choose for your tacos too. If you feel adventurous try the nopales, a good substitute for meat in your tacos.
Ive frequented this place in the past. The food is pretty good, nothing spectacular. But it comes from the kitchen quickly and is always hot. Only real complaint I have is that I had to go get my waitress from the register area to get a drink refill. She was playing with her hair in the mirror. No big deal, Im sure I will eat here again!
