Ordered a carne asada and ordered an extra order after and waited almost an hour for tortillas my food was cold I had to go to hotel room and warm my food 😥

Truely not recommended ,,, the guy throwing the trash would not change his gloves and served the food with the same dirty gloves,,, the 5 pieces of shrimp were nasty falling apart in the shrimp cocktail,,, and the rice had bugs in it not worth the money spent

The shrimp was old and nasty in the shrimp cocktail the rice had a bug in it. The service was horrible,,,, they do not change their gloves and will throw the trash and serve your order of food with the same nasty gloves.

We have had the worst experience bad service from the staff. the people who serve with a rude attitude were told that we did not like the way they served our food and they ignored our comment I would never recommend someone to eat in that place 👎

First time trying this and it will be our last came in and placed a order to go. Got home and after spending 60.00 for 2 people. 8.00 of that for just asking for a couple extra sauces we couldn’t even eat it or enjoy it. Plus that staff was not very friendly. Even a simple cheese quesadilla wasn’t even worth eating.And the Carne Asada was over cooked. The only thing worth eating was the refried beans.

Camarones empanizados. Thats all thats needs to be said. You wont regret it! After you eat all your shrimp... pour your sauce on your rice and mix it with the salad. Sooo good!!!

Wonderful Mexican Restaurant in Glenwood! First time my friends and I had been there; the food was amazing, the decor was incredibly colorful and I will definitely go back!

Awesome, very authentic place with great food and great service. They also have beer and Mexican Coca-Cola as well! Definitely stop in on your next Glenwood visit!

Im not quite sure how this place has been 5 stars... I would assume that they have had all of their friends leave 5 stars to gain an edge above the rest of the restaurants in the area. Me and my GF took a day trip to Glenwood and found this spot from Google. Our order was incorrect, We ordered a "burrito plate" that was a burrito the size of a McDonalds breakfast burrito with rice and lettuce on the side and somehow cost 20 dollars. Plus we ordered a bean/cheese tostada, that was not correct, we got a seafood tostada that was mediocre at best, served on a Walmart cardboard plate that I currently have in my cupboard at home right now. I spent 50 dollars to hardly quench the hunger of 2 people, we had to get food on the way home a couple hours later. Margs were good, but thats the only positive thing I have to say about the experience.

Not really impressed almost all items on menu are $11.95 -$14.95 you order at counter and they bring it to your table.Margaritas were good food but like I said not really impressed. Mask are a must. No dividers between customers at the counter.

We went there on a holiday and of course the place were packed.but i was amaze on how our food have been served in a timely manner and not only that of course the food was delicious! Place is clean and the bathroom as well. A highly recommended for a true authentic mexican foods!

The food was spectacular...try the Stuffed Fresh Oyster! Drinks are good. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly.

Ceviche en copa is amazing and my fav! Their pupusas, tacos, tortas, quesadillas, fried shrimp are also delicious, and many other dishes.

I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years and We only order the Tortas because they are the best thing you will ever put in your mouth! The margaritas are quite lovely and the staff are always very friendly. I highly recommend Taqueria’s Tortas with carnitas.

Great food fast and very inexpensive. The menudo on weekends is why I drive 2.5hours. Small place but always super busy and its do to the real Mexican food, homemade tortillas daily

This place does not look like much from the outside but there food says something completely different. They have really good food! The service is friendly. If you go during lunch plan on it taking some time because they get very busy same as Sunday around lunch. I personally have eaten several different things from them. The langua is very good as are the chilli rellenos. Produce they use always looks very fresh also. Enjoy

Best torta EVER, honestly theyve ruined them for me anywhere else. Never had a bad item from the menu, salsa bar = on point (when were not in a pandemic). Honestly just go, you wont regret it.

This is one of my cant miss places in Glennwood Springs. I have only ever had their tacos, but they come with a large amount of meat. You then get to go to the toppings and salsa bar to make them exactly what you want. I have yet to find another place like this. The meat is amazing and they have the stuff that makes you understand just how authentic this place is. I havent found a mexican restaurant in the rest of the state that is this authentic.

Ordered the taco salad with pork meat.....pork was the consistency of deep fried dried out meat..., about two tablespoons of beans only. Extremely dry, asked for another tiny ranch dressing, and they charged me 2.00 for two of them. Ridiculous! Paid 15.00 .....outrageous!

I love this place.... but Id love the ladies to pay a bit more attention.... I called for a to go order, lady said Id be ready in 7 min...... I got there 15 min later... order was not ready.... no big deal.... I paid and waited for another 10 min...... turns out there was a bag sitting there for about 10 min... no one bothered to check if that was my order..... I had to approach one of the ladies and asked if that was my oreder. She said yes...... I grabbed food and walked out.

I saw that El Nopal was highly rated so I thought to give it a try. I was not that impressed. I did not really mind that you have to pay upfront before you get your order, but I did mind that there were no chips and salsa served at the table. I mean, this is a Mexican restaurant, for goodness sake! For that matter, my only interaction with staff was when I ordered, and when the girl brought it to my table about 15 minutes later, set it down and left without a word. The beans and rice was average although my chile relleno had more cheese in it than any Id ever seen before. The relleno itself was to me a tad on the tough side and required a little knife action to get it eaten. Also, I think $13 is a bit pricey for one chile relleno. Maybe El Nopal was having an off-day, maybe my expectations were off, but right now Im not sure Ill be going back when Im in the area again.

I enjoyed eating here. You go up to the counter to order, then they bring you the food to your table. I had the fish tacos. Each taco is in the $2.50 to $3 range, so it wont break the bank. My tacos consisted of a single corn tortillas, fried fish, and a little pico. I took my tacos to the salsa and topping bar. For toppings, they had radish, onions, cilantro, and something minced up. Nothing is labeled. This does seem like a locals kind of place. You probably need to be in the know to know what you are getting. The salsas also werent labeled, except for one labeled very spicy. I think that the salsas go in order of spiciness. Look for the very spicy, then gauge what spiciness you are looking for.The tacos were delish. My biggest issue is they used one tortilla, rather than the standard 2. So the tacos did fall apart on me.I definitely enjoyed this place and would certainly come back. It is popular, but the tables cycle quickly.

I laugh at just about every 1 star rating of this place. Just from reading those I debated not coming at all...I said what the hell and tried it out. I got 3 tacos - carne asada, chicken, and carnitas - the salsa bar was legit and you can load up your tacos with whatever you want.This place was probably the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had and I will definitely be back

Very overpriced for the quality of the food, lacking flavor. Ordered a smothered beef burrito and 2 "taco salads" according to menu this is to come with beans and guacamole, however it was plated with sliced avocado and no beans. Flavor is poor and not fresh. Tables and benches needed attention badly. I dont recommend this restaurant.

Overpriced and pretty basic food. Unfortunately there is not too many choices in Glenwood for Mexican food so thats probably why this place is popular. Only thing that impressed me was the salsa bar.

The interior isnt impressive, but is the only real strong negative to this amazing little restaurant. The food is very very high quality, and tastes incredible. Another issue which contributes heavily to the loss of a star is price, this place is in many ways just a little too expensive for the type of restaurant it is! $26 for two to eat at a place like this just felt a little steep. With a nicer interior and some more friendly staff, that price would be well justified but, at this point its a tad bit higher than Id like. Overall the food itself makes this place but, the meh interior and equally mediocre staff puts this place at a solid 3.5/5 stars.

The best of the best. Great family. Great food. Huge demand. Be prepared to wait a little. Try the Menudo. Try the fish tacos! I have been a regular for years. They know our names and my whole family. I feel bad leaving such amazing feedback as I know it will increase the demand and then the minor delay in getting the best tortas in the world. If you want the real deal where the locals go to eat on a Sunday afternoon with the whole family, this is the place. Everything you would expect and hope to find at an authentic Mexican restaurant. It has a little of the food truck style on somethings and going to grandmas on others, but it is all good and they have all kinds of imported Mexican drinks to take it home. Wait staff is friendly and make sure you are taken care of at the counter, but not a lot of chit chat as the place is usually packed. Prices are a little higher than I expected, but it is a tourist town, so that seems to be the norm. Huge salsa and condiment bar to make your taste buds hum all the way home.

I love the routine plates I order. I look Hispanic though dont speak Spanish. Their staff has never given me a issue and taken and delivered my food perfectly. While in my womb, my third son was literally made out of their food! So delicious. Avoid lunch hour or call in ahead of time.

So. Dang. Good. We stayed at the Frontier Lodge and wanted an easy meal and some drinks, so we walked over. We were so pleasantly surprised by the food, drinks, prices and service. It felt super authentic and was way better than the expected "strip mall" Mexican food joint we though we were going to. The margaritas were perfect, not super sweet. The food was so tasty, and the salsa bar had a lot of choices. I wish this was our local taqueria!

Fresh authentic food at a good price. Was busy for a late lunch and I could see why.
