My boyfriend and I come here almost every Sunday and he really loves it and I think its good as well.

Just an oder Mexican Restauran where they dont seem to use fresh beans or home made sauce for ChileColorado or Chile verde, MENUDO TASTED SALTY AND NO FLAVOR. SAUSCE OUT OF A CAN jus my opinion! Salsas are nice heat, very nice atmosphere and location! Friendly staff and very clean place!

I ate Taqueria before during lunch the food was very salty. But I went back again at dinner time to get some food to go. There was a older gentleman in there cooking the food, he had just the right amount of salt and it tasted Great. Who every that way maybe they should keep him cooking the food only. And my young Adults kids loved the place.keep up the Good work and watch the salt everybody in the world have high blood pressure 😁

Best dining experience best tacos best burritos best food in general awesome customer service me and my wife come here all the time really good authentic food. Their salsa in the salsa bar taste amazing and authentic as well.

I always saw this place but never went there so I decided to try it out. It was good that I did because I was looking for a new Mexican food place that had a lot of options. The food was full of flavor and you can tell they really put love into it. I would honestly recommend it for anyone looking to try something new.

This has been one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants to visit for at least the past 20 years. They have an amazing menu with an amazing staff for a great experience. On this night I shared the Molcajete with my wife and it was delicious. If youre there with somebody else, I would suggest this 100 times over. There was chicken, carne, asada shrimp and carnitas

We stopped in just about 20min before closing. They accepted us anyway. The staff was very nice. Food was good.

People are so friendly enjoyed my experience had outside dinning cuz we had our dog did a walk on the trail stopped in for breakfast and they even brought out a bowl of water for the dog without us even having to ask

Below average. Meat was poor quality and everything was not well-seasoned. Baja fisj tacos tasted lackluster. Highly Disappointed.

I got 2 carne asada super burritos. I was told they had sour cream, but they didnt.. they were too dry... One had beans rice and meat. The other had rice,lots of beans and very little meat. My daughter and I just didnt enjoy them, and I doubt well ever return. Its a nice looking place with parking right out front. I wish it had been better. We got them to go, so didnt want to drive back to get the right fixings. Im sorry I cant say something more positive. Its always a good idea to check what you have in the to go bag before you leave. They were about ten dollars each and came with average tasting chips.

Used to live in Modesto 12+ years ago and remembered this Taqueria. One of their specials was Baha Fish Tacos. BEST FISH TACO EVER, MADE TO PERFECTION. All ingredients fresh. Just 2 and i am stuffed, they are just perfect. Staff is friendly and takes good care of you. Will be back before i head home to Oregon.

Went yesterday to eat dinner with my husband, and as always the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I want to shout out a big Thank YOU for still having outdoor dining. I am immunecompromised, making outdoor dining the best option for me, as well as others with similar conditions. I love the atmosphere created for the outside dining. The lights, the colorful Mexican banner, and the pull down blinds for shade and to dampen the wind. Plus the music really set the mood. Wonderful experience! I hope you continue providing outdoor dining. Thank YOU some much! Will be back again. ❤️

My local taqueria and Im grateful to have great Mexican food so close to home. I order through Door Dash but pick up my own food often. Vegetarian burritos, nachos and cheese enchiladas are my go to items. Their salsa bar is awesome.

The food was mediocre at best and on the California surf and turf burrito the large shrimp were not cleaned. Large shrimp with an obviously well fed vein protruding through the semi transparent skin. Why on earth would they not de-vein and clean the shrimp? I feel a good indication on how someones cooking tastes is the prep work before going into cooking. Clearly they do not care.

Me and my husband doordash for this company alot and let me tell you best restaurant ever we also ate here food is 5 🌟always always the prices are also not bad at all do yourself a favor go get you some great authentic food.

these guys must be under new ownership. everyone there is new. the food is still pretty OK, but they make tons of mistakes on phone orders. Ive even had to go back to get stuff they forgot. last night they gave me carne asada nachos( tough and gristly ), not the chicken nachos I had ordered. Plus, NO MASKS. The staff told me they "dont need to wear them".

Love the burritos. I don’t know exactly what or how they make them this good… but they ar they best.

The food was horrible burrito was wrapped around the fillings 3 times lot of tortilla. If I wanted tortilla Id got the store. They skimp on fillings and the meat was burnt

This place is delicious its me and my husbands favorite place to go to. We always make sure were there on Taco Tuesday. Or any other day that we want to have Mexican food.

Upgraded decor over covid. Handled our group of 23 well. (With advance notice Food is excellent and portions are generous. Staff wears masks while diners may not. Great time for sure!

The most horrible Mexican restaurant ever! Food literally had no taste I order 2 tacos de asada and they were extremely dry the meat had no flavor no crisp of grease and they brought them out with a 2 leafs of cilantro and 3 diced onion pieces and my other taco came back with just their salsa de tomate that also was BS. Not even a lemon added to my plate then I also ordered a shrimp cocktail and that was so disgusting no flavor at all the pick de Gallo they used was old and frozen I was just so disappointed in their food this is not authentic Mexican food to real Mexicanos. And when I asked for my money back the waitress said she was gunna have the cook look at my shrimp cocktail lol I seriously ate 1 shrimp and I was over it. If u want real Mexican food go to SanJose Taqueria on coffee or Dos Compadres on Mchenry!

Kitchen is awesome, but service is one of the worst in the area. We were four times, the first time the order was wrong and the waiter took the plate, all on my table end their plate, and mine took a lot of time to arrives. Second time very late service, and the waiter said wait for five minutes, we wait for 20 and no one came. Last time we attended never came to take the order, and those were the last 15 minutes there. We were really hungry and we found a good taqueria just 3 min away, double size for the milanesa, great service and half price. That is bad that this restaurant just has clientele and just left the customer service behind, but again my clapping is for the kitchen. Thanks for your efforts.

Open for dine-in, have a few patio tables too and take out. Dine-in tables have good spacing between them though were not promptly being cleaned in post rush Friday lunch. Ordered enchiladas with Carne asada plate for dine-in. All you can drink sodas available.Received small portion of tortilla chips while I waited with red and green salsa. Food arrived and the appearance was good with avocado and sources garnishes on the two enchiladas, refried beans, lettuce with tomato and Spanish rice. My chief complaint is the enchiladas were lukewarm whereas the refried beans and rice were hot. Not a fan of lukewarm food that should be hot.I spent over $21 plus tip for the meal and soda. A bit pricey for what it was. Will try restaurant again in the future to give it a 2nd chance.

Staff is always friendly and amazing. One of my go-to spots for mexican food. It always taste amazing and never disappoints. If I call it in they have it ready for me. I have been coming here for years and have never been let down. The salsa bar has some great salsas always fresh and the limes are never dry.

My family has eaten here for years, I have always thought the food was alright, not bad but not great. Today I placed an order on the phone for a pickup. I see many people eating inside, with naturally no mask on. It looks like a great place to get COVID-19. I brought cash with a tip and decided Im just going to call them and let them know Im here, someone can bring the bag of food outside where Im standing. Long story short, I had to call numerous times, put on hold, phone disconnected, phone busy. It was a dumb experience, I will personally never go back here again.

Great food and a nice place to eat. Get there about once a month since they opened years ago. Owners a good kid and Im proud of the way hes kept the business. Thanks 😊

Have never had a bad experience here! Finally decided to rate them on google after having my new favorite low carb option they offer of CHICHARONNE NACHOS! Yum!! They were amazing, & I am thankful they have a great low carb menu. Plus their staff are 10/10 always!

Delicious Mexican food, I usually order the AL Pastor super burrito. Or the Carnitas plate, comes with rice and beans. To me this place is amongst the best in Modesto.

Just found out about this place and I gotta say they have one of the best grilled chicken taco salads Ive ever had! Ive returned to this place more than once for it! My bf love the chicken burrito as well!

Oh heck yes! I had the ceviche tostada. B.O.M.B! The place was spacious and clean; the service was friendly and fast; and the food was soooo good! Plus it was very reasonably priced. Couldnt ask for more.

This is my favorite place. I get their taco salad or taco bowl. And my boyfriend gets his usual burrito and he has them make it his own way and they make it the way he asks. They are really good. I am picky about my Mexican Restaurants. This is the only Taqueria I go too!Their taco truck tacos are amazing and they put plenty of meat. My dad likes their Tortas. My Dad is from Mexico City so he knows his tortas and he likes the way they make them here.

Our whole family loves this place! It’s our go too when we are in town, our bellies are rumbling, and home is just a few min to far to wait lol. I’ve been eating here since I was a freshmen in college. Heading there after swim practice, or a night class at MJC. Now I bring my family there, it’s our favorite Mexican food restaurant. I love their bean burritos, quesadillas, burritos, taco salads, burrito bowls, and their breakfast menu. They have a great beer selection with cold mugs to pour your beer into. They have the best salsa bar around! I love their green avocado salsa, it’s my little ones favorite as well. The place is clean, and their location is perfect! I love I can park at rose-burg square, walk the trail, let the little one burn off energy at the park then walk back. We usually grab lunch before or after he walk. I highly recommend this place! :)Ps I LOOOOOVE when they load up the burrito bowls with cheese! I LOOOOOVE cheese!! 💕💕

This is our favorite Taqueria to visit. The food is always good. We have a family of 7 so the ability to move the tables around to seat us and the other people we sometimes come with is nice. The have a good menu which even has chicken nuggets for picky eaters like my youngest. The salsa and Guac bar is pretty good as well.

Taqueria El Compadre puts the meh in Mexican Food. At best the food here is average. At worst, its really expensive. Ive tried most everything and nothing impresses me. Its all very forgettable. What isnt forgettable is the poor service, the crowds and the really odd rules (ask for a soda cup to go when youre eating in and watch what happens). These owners dont care about the food. Why should I?

This place has a great Vibe, theyre always super friendly! Always clean, never too crowded, great salsa bar, good kitchen crew, delicious Meats, pretty good beer selection. Best bang for the buck in Modesto. :-)

The food is delicious! Everything is wonderful except they only give you 2 tiny cups for salsa and the salsa bar is so tempting! You will want more than a tablespoon of something from it. I will be going back for the grilled chicken and fresh carrot juice ASAP!!

Super tasty! Got the California burrito and it was fat and delicious. Their guacamole salsa is the beat! Friendly staff and great customer service. Highly recommended!

We biked here for lunch yesterday. My husband really enjoyed his taco salad in a crispy flour tortilla bowl. I had two fish tacos. They are made with small corn tortillas, so kind of hard to hold onto. They also had too much salsa on them. I had a side of crispy fried flour tortilla chips which were hot and tasty, but a bit chewy inside. This is our third or fourth visit and plan to be back for Taco Tuesdays.We came back for Taco Tuesday. It was quite crowded. We had taco salads (good crispy taco, rice, beans, carne asada, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, etc.), nachos with carne asada, and quesadilla with carne asada. All were great. The place was packed.

Prices very high sour cream every single condiment extra charge also got same dish two days in a row and got charged $8.00 more. When I asked the clerk at counter with my receipt from the day before she kept pointing to a new sign she just put on the counter and said it had always been there.Just want to be treated fairly.For 30.00 I can go fine dining hey its just chicken and tortillas

Weve been here three times already, its my boyfriends favourite taqueria in town. The food and service is really good, they have a lot of salsas, guacamole and lemons on the side. Their burritos and quesadias are delicious. The only thing I didnt like is that red sauce on a wet burrito 😀 didnt really tasted good, the green one though was great!

Great food, portions to cost on target! Drink cost RIDICULOUS, plus to finish drink on the go your charged another drink! P.S. No mild salsa if you need light heat with chips. NEVER interferes with a great lunch/dinner! 8 )
