Taqueria El Azteca & Taco Truck in Greensboro

I used my credit card right here, they took it to the counter to charge the tab. next day I recieved severall transactions on my card. Probably got cloned or taken a picture of it in this place since it was the only one I used it.

Love everything about this Mexican spot. Small setting with lots of flavor. We always get the quick guacamole, cheese dip, and elotes for appetizers. ACP shrimp and Sizzling Fahitas are the business. Lastly churros and sopapillas.

Was at the lake and realized I wanted to eat Mexican, so I did at this place... Now I feel more Mexican than ever. Woo hoo!

Everything here was great. The margaritas were amazing and the food was as well. I had the fajitas and they were perfect, the other traditional dishes were amazing as well.

Got the shrimp tacos. Very little taste no seasonings, cheap shredded lettuce, horrible tortilla store bought chips and salsa. I love Mexican food ate it my whole life. This place doesnt make it.No I got my order to go. However if you would like I can come by tomorrow and I will let you chose what I eat. I guarantee your chips are bought somewhere else along with other ingredients or I can cook for you so you know what mexican food tastes like. Your choice

If you have a large event, the taco truck is an excellent and cost effective way to feed a large number of people. Great food prepared quickly.

Apparently you have to use cash. The lady gave me an attitude about it when I came in for a pick up order. She was talking about some sort of fee they get charged for using a card. Who uses cash?!??? And how was I suppose to know that?! Y’all need to put a sign on your door or website… smh. Matter of fact, you need to figure out something better than that because NEWSFLASH…hardly nobody carries cash. It’s 2022!

This truck is absolutely amazing! Booked it for a baby shower at a lake house. The booking process with Greg was smooth, they were there on time and the food and service were fantastic! Everyone was so pleased! You cant go wrong using this truck for your next event!

Edit-Tried to dine here again, I really want to love it. This visit there were only 2 of us. Chips and salsa were brought and our server got our drink orders right away. We got an order of guacamole, to split, which was perfect. For our meal, I ordered a combo platter, including a tamal, a chile relleno and a burrito. My friend ordered steak tacos. They arrived right on time, and the tacos looked delicious. It was served with lemon instead of lime, so my friend asked for, and eventually got a couple limes. My combo was just okay. When I ordered a chile relleno, I thought it would be stuffed with cheese, egg battered and fried. It was a naked poblano with some ground beef and a tiny bit of cheese on top. (See photoThe burrito was better, it had a lot of chicken and good heat. Id also entertained high hopes about their tamales. I was so wrong. It was presented only half wrapped in corn husk and it was extremely dry, the beef filling had no flavor and the corn meal wrapper had apparently been dry heated and not wrapped properly and steamed. I took photos before the tamal arrived. After our food was served, it was a struggle to get even one refill on our water. I think I have given Taqueria El Azteca plenty of chances.This is such a great restaurant near Guilford College. They are always busy, but the food and the mixed drinks are consistently delicious. We ordered the Chori Queso (chorizo and cheese dipwhich came quickly, but the server didnt bring the promised warm chips and she took a long time to circle back. But we ventured ahead. I ordered the Quesadilla Vegetariana, which was perfectly toasty and filled with very fresh, tender crisp squash, mushrooms and peppers, with a bit of queso. My guests had the Fajita Burrito, and the Burrito Texano, filled with shrimp, steak and chicken. Our entrees were all hot, and very good. Our server, however was lukewarm. This is why I deduct a star, every time we visit, our servers are there quickly until delivery of the entrees. If they just came back to the table after the food came, theyd be such a great spot. And it seems as if it would add to their profit, as we would absolutely love to stay and enjoy another margarita, or be offered dessert.

Great location and friendly staff. Personally I was not impressed with the tacos I had. I ordered 4 tacos one of each (asada,pastor,lengua and carnitaseven though they brought me a chicken instead of carnitas. The tortillas were a little hard and cold. The meat seasoning for the pastor did not meet the traditional al pastor. The Asada had no flavor. Although the lengua was good but in reality you can mess up a good lengua. The chips and salsa they bring out is nothing to brag about. Just call it tomatoes sauce with chips. Maybe I am just used to more authentic Mexican tacos.

Food is pretty good but their prices are pretty high for what you get, seems like every time I go there the food gets smaller and prices are higher. Staff are nice. Does have a nice area to eat outside. Inside seating is tight and loud at lunch.

Daughter took me here today she comes all the time, had the pastor street tacos 🌮 🔥 and salas was real tasty thats a must for me. Will be back mucho mas 😁

Honestly, the pricing was incredibly overpriced for what you got. $11 for a portion size that didnt even fill my friend up. I ordered the nachos which were basically entirely lettuce. If you wanted chicken on anything, its a $2.50 upcharge. If you want extra chips, its an extra $2.50. Want queso with your chips? $5.50. Want to substitute beans and jalepenos on your nachos for some other meat? Nope, upcharge for the meat. Paid way too much for what we got and for the quality of it. Waitress seemed annoyed when they messed up the order. Honestly wont be going here again.

What a great local restaurant with a great staff and great food!5 years ago….My husband and I tried the food at the Greensboro Food Truck Festival and it was delicious! I had the steak burrito fajita and my husband had the fish tacos. Flavors of both dishes were spot on! We recently went to the restaurant and look forward to a return visit. The staff was very professional. One of the best Mexican eateries in the area!

The food is great and the atmosphere is really nice. My date did ask the waiter to tell me that the restaurant had a rule that said you couldn’t eat all the fully loaded nachos. Like that you can’t look around, find the one with the most meat and just eat that one. That’s not their fault though. 5 stars.

The food was good but very disappointed in the portion sizes. I paid $8.25 for a small quesadilla and it didnt come with anything else.

The prices are fair, amazing waiters, nice decoration… but the taste wasn’t there, I am talking about the most important part ( steak 6/10 .. as you can see on the pics little bits of pieces of dry meat ), ( chicken 2/10 worse I’ve had in year try it for yourself. The only Taco that was acceptable was the grilled shrimp one.

We really liked this place. Ordered beef taco and vegetarian enchiladas and drinks. Chips salsa and bean/cheese dip were all great. They had drink deals on Saturday. Margaritas are six dollars. Friendly staff and fast service.

First and last time ordering. The food is so bland. And their prices are ridiculous for the amount of food you get. I was able to fit my food in a child size bowl. Oh and it was nice and cold even thou we picked up at the time recommended. If you don’t mind driving a bit, go to La Fiesta, you will get double the size and cheaper and flavorful.

First time here today.Ordered chicken fajita lunch special today on my lunch break. They werent busy or anything. Managed to forget my tortillas to eat the fajitas with. Also the food was cold and I cant reheat it in the microwave at work due to the metal container they put it in.So here I am trying to shovel cold fajita ingredients into my mouth with a spoon.What I have trouble understanding is how someone can do the same job all day. Every. Day. And still manage to screw up something so simple. Anyone giving this place 5 starts is delusional.Will never return.Its really getting to the point where you have to prepare all your meals yourself if you want anything done correctly. Its quite sad. You really can not trust anyone else to prepare basic food items for you if youre in a pinch and need something fast.Dont give this place your business. Go to Monterey on Battleground Ave if you want decent Mexican food. 👌

My wife and I eat here almost every other week. The staff never has any turnover, and they are all super friendly. The thing that sets them apart is that the staff helps each other out and work together. When you go to other restaurants you commonly see that if "its not their table" they pass it on to someone else. Not to mention the food is always excellent.

Who ever is responding to the low star ratings are so rude accept criticism and fix it maybe ?! So unprofessional !! any way , I went in today there was no life in this restaurant so dark inside and the tacos where not the best tasting. cold to me thats my opinion I’ve had better . Easily the best Mexican restaurant in the Triad. Fresh locally grow vegetables sourced here in Greensboro daily are served on all the dishes.. Their service is phenomenal along with the flavor of the food. They run daily specials and of course they have TACO TUESDAY! My family and I have been going here for well over 5 years and every time we go the experience is terrific. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. They have done a fabulous job during the pandemic as well by wearing masks and keeping the place clean. Bathrooms are spotless, tables are wiped down after every patron leaves, floors swept, etc.. They have an authentic Mexican cuisine that supersedes all other restaurants I’ve ever been to. As a “google guide” I don’t haphazardly hand out 5 star reviews, and I personally feel like this spot easily deserves the 5 stars based on quality, friendliness, and professionalism. I thoroughly enjoy going here and will continue to support this locally owned business. Cheers 🍻

LOVE this taco truck so much! Ive actually never been to the brick & mortar restaurant but the food from the truck is always delicious and the staff listens and is efficient. They came to my neighborhood for a little block party and were SO easy to work with and personable. I called a few days before to confirm and it was like talking to an old friend. The truck arrived and left perfectly at the times agreed upon and everyone was thrilled for this Saturday taco treat.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Taquería El Azteca and took advantage of the outdoor dining in the interest of social distancing. The Tacos Auténticos truly lived up to the name. The most authentic Mexican food Ive had in a very long time! A choice of several meats, the chicken was good but marinated pork (al Pastorwas the best, the most flavorful!The prices are very reasonable and service was friendly and attentive.Im already looking forward to my next chance to enjoy more.

This place is awesome. The staff is very friendly and the food is always great. Portions are as good as anywhere for the price. If you like margaritas then you should try all of them . Homemade tortillas and tamales.The hot sauce is also great . Ask for George or anyone because everyone is gonna give you the best service. This place Rocks !!!

Delicious tacos and great service. $1.50 tacos on Tuesdays. I had my food in less than 5 minutes after ordering. They have a decent drink selection too.

My husband and I have been to Azteca quite a few times and are never disappointed at the authenticity, taste, and freshness of their food. I had never noticed the chalk board of weekend food specials before - well be back soon to try the arepas! Its not easy to find arepas in Greensboro!

Had their Lunch Arroz con Pollo. It was delicious, the quantity is justified for the price of the food. Its enough for one person. Salsa and chips were also good. Service was quick.

Greg and his crew did an awesome job at a recent company event (CCAC). Set-up was prompt and the food was fresh. Great experience for our associates and their families. We will definitely use Taqueria El Aztecas Taco Truck for future events!

One of the fastest, cleanest taquerias I have been in the country. In the picture you can see a fish/shrimp ceviche with a Pacifico Michelada. I highly recommend this place! In my opinion, the best taqueria in Greensboro.

Great taqueria. Stopped in for lunch and got the shrimp tacos from the food truck menu. Came with sliced radishes and avocado. Ingredients tasted fresh. I’d recommend asking for hot sauce as they have 2 kinds they bring out- both are flavorful and the salsa they bring out for the chips is pretty generic. Also, the service provided was quick and polite.

These tacos are the real deal. Carnitas & Pastor are my favorite as they are well seasoned with true Mexican spices. Their ceviche is loaded with shrimp, red onions, tomatoes & cilantro, just add hot sauce to your liking! This truck can be spotted at different events throughout the Triad.
