March 2nd 2021My husband and I just enjoyed lunch at this lil taqueria.The experience was wonderful. We felt very welcome as tho we were in Grandmas kitchen.The food was delicious 😋 We enjoyed the chips and salsa. Tacos and charro beans were amazing.We will definitely be returning with friends!

Service is very good and very attentive personnel. My serving was fajita plate and also a tripita taco. The tripa taco was good the tripitas were on my opinion overdone to crunchy but that is me. I like them in between cruchy and soft. The fajita plate was the same the fajitas and chicken fajitas were overcooked the meat was hard and with minimal juicy flavor. The fajitas should be juicy . The charro beans are very good the rice had a very good flavor to it. The tortillas are the ones that make the difference in a meal and unfortunately the tortillas are from packs sold on any store. Obviously tradition has been lost because of labor of making tortillas by hand, but that is what make the difference in any restaurant. If this things change in the future I will surely change the rating.

Low key location with a good authentic selection of typical taqueria fares. Good breakfast and lunch specials. Well priced. Their brisket and fajita beef are top tier. Very friendly nice staff along with a good location. Perfect for lunch. Highly recommend their mini tacos.

Favorite Taqueria in Galveston County. Might even go as far as to say Harris & Brazoria.. A must eat establishment. Good portions & delicious food. Great family owned establishment. I recommend everything on the menu. I have gotten lots of ppl hooked on Taqueria Don Rubens some even drive an hour for a breakfast burrito.
